In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Now the scythe was moving at her at an incredible speed. Quickly she turned her body to the left as the blade cut a deep gash into her side. He was behind her when she turned to look and his palms hit her back. she was sent to the ground as a third wave of electricity rocked through her. Now she was in trouble as skin sizzled off in places. She locked her katana back in its sheath and grabbed onto the hanging chain. More were around them and she noticed some behind Mamoryte. Sage kicked back wards and her feet came off the ground, like a swing she shifted her weight forward and she swung at Mamoright. Her shoes were almost completely destroyed from the energy and as she kicked Mamoruby in either shoulder she realized that her shoes weren't sending her back like they should have.
The spike dislodged itself from the barrier providing no more support and if Mamorid fell back then she would land on top of him. If he caved forward she would fall and he would probably fall on top of her. She drew her katana knowing that if he fell on her her only weapon would be trapped under the weight of them both. What she really wanted to happen was for one or maybe both of Mamorth's shoulders to be dislocated. If even one was maybe he wouldn't be able to use electricity through that hand because the energy was coming from his hands, right?
As she kicked, Mamoru saw his scythe skid past with the chain still attached. He needed that, because his hands provided minimal use for him. But before he could go after it, the girl had kicked him quite hard in the shoulders. There was a rather loud crack before he winced in pain. That damned girl had dislocated his left shoulder; which also happened to be his dominant arm. He staggered from the attack, and fell backwards. But before he hit the ground, he spread his hands out behind him. There was another loud crack, and he pushed back with his hands, bringing him into a handstand.
"You've gotta do better than that, girl. Just give up, please?" He mocked her with his joking whine. Only a few more attacks. He could see her energy draining quite rapidly. He pushed off the ground with his hands, bringing him a little closer to his scythe.
Grabbing the metal with his bare hands, he dragged it forwards, the blade biting into his hands easily. With the other hand, he held the chain, still wrapped around the scythe. And as he held them both in opposite hands, he pulled. The sharpness of the blade slashed through the chain like paper, it limply falling to the ground. Now holding the scythe by it's handle, he took a rather defensive-looking position. Glancing from side to side, he noticed the chain to his right. Gripping it, he proceeded to chop it in half with his scythe's bladed back, trying to rip the spike out of the wall...
[i["Now for the fun to REALLY begin"[/i] Hades thought as a barrier shot up around Mammogram and Sage. Then chains began to rapidly shoot out of the arena barrier. Hundreds came flying out of hit, though they hit the barrier Sage and Monogram were in, the shield held.
"Clear" Hades gave another wave of his hand and the barrier around Sage, Mamoru,....and the arena itself, fell. The chains levitating in the air.

Sage lept back as Mamoroh fell with a crack. Luckily he didn't fall forward and she was able to land safely on the ground. Her knees shook from all the pain and pressure and she had to grab onto a chain from support. From the sides sprouted chains that shot across the field, it seemed they covered every angle, some straight down some leading up horizontally, and some that were parallel with the ground. Someone as heavy as Mamoryle wouldn't be able to keep their balance as well on one of the chains as say... a fox.
A smirk grew on her face as she knew how this would play out. The only problem was there was no reason for her opponent to chase after her on the chains. There was the ground an--what?! She slid down quickly and realized where she would be going if she didn't hold on tight. The ground and the barrier fell leaving the only available playing field these chains. Luckily her arms were not very wounded or else she might have fell. Sadly her wounds were seriously irritated and her eyes winced as the pain increased. She had upper arm strength, just not as much as she would have wanted and she began to climb up the chain like a gym girl on the rope.
A sweat broke out on her palms and she cursed her luck. She reached to her right for a horizontal chain. As she grabbed it she sung upright, problem was she had to land on the chain without falling and with the soles of her shoes being hole-filled that was going to be impossible. Her simple solution came seconds later. Paws replaced her hands and feet and a fox sat on the chain staring at Mamoroom as if he were an idiot. Balance was easy now, her tail helping and her pads allowing the chain to sink into them to promote extra balance. Her katana had shifted with her and she no longer felt it on her back.
What she did feel were the wounds Mamorile had caused earlier. Already her white belly was stained red and the skin around it black. Luckily her fur looked normal and not black though when she shifted back her clothes would still be ruined. To taunt him more she quickly sprinted forward on the chain and jumped onto another one. Higher and higher she went just waiting for him to follow... if he could. She could see him using the chains like an ape would, hanging on only by his hands and she could see him using it like a tight rope. Either way she would catch him.
He could teleport still and the thought hit her quickly. She needed to cover her back and make sure that she had all possibilities covered. Finally she made it to the top chain, one even higher that the vertical chains. There was a chain below her but as she made her way to the very edge of the top chain she noticed no chain within reaching distance of her, just the one straight ahead. If Mamoripe were to teleport in front of her she'd catch him, and if behind her... lets just say that you'd have to be an idiot to do that.
Mamoru cursed as he watched the girl shift into a fox. He didn't realize he was up against a shapeshifter, and this would prove to be very difficult indeed. But an upturned grin appeared on his face when he saw the fox having a bit of trouble. He'd hurt her, and this provided him with a rather large advantage. It would be easy to catch up to her with his chain-teleporting, but that would be walking right into her 'trap'. He settled on destruction as his choice.
Continuing to grasp the previous chain, he threw it upwards, the spike wrapping around a higher chain. He would continue to do this until he was high enough to teleport to her. He brandished his scythe for the time being; it was much too sharp to grab the chains. If he broke too many, getting to the fox-girl would be nearly impossible. As he reached the middle of the chains, he began teleporting from them, staying on one for a split second; not long enough to lose his balance. But with teleporting, a small chunk of energy is drained, and this was becoming nearly endless. He decided to use his skill, a little something he picked up in his home world. A little something he intelligently named 'Accelerated Rhapsody'.
Now, this skill wasn't a common one, but it wasn't solely his. People from his home world had it aswell. It gave Mamoru the ability to run along walls and if necessary, ceilings. But Mamoru needed to use this quickly. There was a large margin for error, and he didn't want to fall and start all over again. That would be too much, and he'd have to call off the battle.
His feet tried desperately to dig into the walls of the Underdrome, and they did catch a little bit of a grip. Not as much as he'd like, but enough to propel him up the sides of the arena. He summoned his scythe again in the process, slashing at chains and collecting them in his hand, dropping them to the floor beneath him. And as he reached the top, he saw her. Sitting on her dainty little brown paws, jade eyes fixed on him. But instead of attacking her, he settled on a lower chain a few centimeters away. Those were the only two chains left, the others laying limply on the ground below.
" You seem to be forgetting...What's going to happen if you fall? It was nice knowing you." He gave her a crazed grin and lifted his scythe, slashing both of the chains in half. They'd fall, he knew that. But as the ground came up swiftly to meet him, he dug his scythe's blade into it, landing on the handle and snapping back up into the air a few feet. He waited for the fox to land. He couldn't wait to hear that satisfying crack.

Think before you act was not her motto, now act before you think was more like it. As the chains were severed she began to fall, in the blink of an eye she was now in human form, getting out her katana to show Mamoriff that she wasn't as stupid as he thought she was. With one hand she hung onto the chain, slipping down slowly every couple seconds. The levitation would end soon and it appeared that her opponent was falling rather than teleporting. She swung her body weight to the walls of the arena which were rather close to the chains might she add. When she got close enough she felt the levitation go and dug her katana into the wall of the arena. It slowly dug in as she fell and took a few feet to stop completely.
She removed her katana from the arena wall and then drove it back in. She repeated the process and was slowly making her way down the arena wall. Finally she was able to remove the katana and drop from the wall safely onto the ground. Blood was coming up again and she wiped off her mouth onto the sleeve of her vest. Damn that kid, she had never thought that the people here would be this tough. She had to suck it up through, she wouldn't lose this fight until she was dead and right now she was alive as ever. One thing was for sure though, they were both weaker than before and within the next few minutes someone was going to lose and maybe even die. Teleport behind her and she would be ready. Attack her from the front and she would put everything into the last blow. Basically, he could try anything now and she would be ready for it.
((Are her moves to your liking now, Neko? >P))

Mamoru felt quite confident about his achievement. He patiently waited for the girl to slam into the ground below. But, for some reason, it never happened. He sneered and looked up. The girl had thought of yet another thing to snatch his victory away from him. But as he saw her dig her katana into the arena wall, that same psychotic smile appeared on his face. She was using her sharp blade to pierce a mixture of stone, clay, and closely-set dirt. He knew as well as any blade wielder that digging that katana into the wall would cause the blade to become dull at a ridiculously fast rate. She might as well be fighting with a toy sword now. He waited patiently for the girl to reach the floor again. His victory may not be as gruesome as he'd like, but he would win, and he was sure of it.
"You didn't let me have my fun. Why do you have to ruin things?" He nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and followed it with a mocking shake of his head. This girl was really something. A something he didn't particularly like. He began pulling his scythe from the ground with ease, like a knife through butter. It left a horrid gash in the Underdrome's floor, but Mamoru assumed that the Lord of the Underworld wouldn't care. He even thought it added a little character to the place. But there wasn't time to smirk over his scythe's power, he had work to do. He watched the girl for a few moments, wondering when she'd run to attack him. When she didn't, he took it upon himself to run at her, scythe above and behind his head. And then he swung, catching her in the curve of the blade itself, pulling with a quick turn of his feet and sending her flying into the stadium. He knew the blade was biting through her clothes and into her skin, but it was only for a short moment. He didn't want to slice her yet, but he would do all that he could to bring her into a state of paralysis.

She watched him run forward at her, but realized soon after he darted forward that he was pretty fast. Sage got ready to shift before he could reach her with his electrical powers and was surprised to see the scythe coming at her. She jumped forward so that it'd miss her and saw that Mamoreef's aim was off. If she stayed where she was he would have missed her by about a foot, he must be getting pretty tired. Before she was able to launch at him and land a good punch on his face she felt a poke in her back. The blade of the scythe bit into her vest, though with all the padding in it the vest didn't allow the blade to cut through to her skin, that and the angle of the blade was at one where it would do little damage, did he mean to do that?
She went flying forward and shifted in mid air. She would be faster in Firefox form and landing on the stadium ground would be much easier due to the fact that she would be lighter and have less pressure on a leg. Sage landed on the ground and looked back at Mamorib. He was getting tired--or so it seemed--and so was she. The match would be over soon and she realized that with the wounds she had received she would most likely lose. Though what mattered now to her was try to not die. An attack formed in her mind and she hoped that with it she would be able to win. The odds were not good, but she would not be giving up.
She sprinted to the corner Mamorock was positioned by and jumped up at the wall next to him. She placed her paws on the wall and pushed forward at her opponent. In the air she shifted with her arms raised above her head. The sword shifted back into her hands and she swung it down at Mamoripper's head. It would take two hands on the scythe to block the force of her attack. If he blocked it she was already kicking her feet toward his gut. If he portaled she would have to let go of the blade and drop to the ground but then she would already pick it up, turn, and attack in one motion. She would most likely lose, but she would not die.

((Double post = no no. ^^;; Anyways, yeah, I'm giving Neko another week to reply to this. I'm sure she'll reply on Sunday or something, but with school I understand it's like sucking away her Mamoruk muse. Besides, I'm sure we all know that we cannot disqualify him, this thread must go on!))
And again, the Reaper was disappointed. That girl needed to understand that when you hit the ground, you go 'crunch'. And that's exactly the sound he wanted to hear. But he had a feeling no matter how hard he threw her, it just wouldn't happen. He'd need to claim victory in a more creative way.
Sage was coming at him again, which wasn't exactly a problem. Her blade had become dull from sliding down the wall, she'd be lucky if it even pierced his skin. She had something in mind, and Mamoru knew it would just make her blood boil if he ruined it for her. She looked like she wanted to win so badly. He almost felt a twinge of guilt ripping the victory from her. Almost.
Although the girl was getting more and more intelligent with each move. She realized that to throw him off-guard, she needed to proceed with two attacks at once. But since he had figured out her plan, it was just too easy to evade her katana and physical attacks. And as she dove toward him, he got a very sinister idea. Darting his gaze from side to side, a sliced piece of chain lay limp only a few feet away. She was mere millimeters away from him now, but there was a simple way to get rid of her. Holding his scythe perfectly straight, he drove the top of the handle straight into her stomach, pulling sideways to flip her over and out of his path.
Once she was out of the way, he slid sideways to grab the chain he cut earlier, wrapping it between his fingers. He was going to cut this battle short. A few choice words needed to be said to the 'Lord of the Underworld'...

Yes, it was foolproof, but apparently her opponent was beyond the level of her thoughts and was able to counter her attack without gaining so much as a scratch on his face. He simply dug the bottom of his scythe into her stomach and tossed her to the side little a rag doll. She fell to the ground, with nothing left, and lay on her back. It seemed like forever until she got up, she had to get going but the ground, oh it felt so nice to rest. She pressed a palm and a knee to the ground and struggled to get up. Blood came up her throat and was immediately spat out onto the field. Not only were her wounds fried and hurting but it appeared she had some internal bleeding as well.
Can't give up, can't give up, mustn't let her race down. She pulled herself up off the floor and winced as pain shot through her. Instead of being in one specific area, the pain was now coming from all parts of her body meaning that she didn't have much time left. To gain anything in this battle she would have to sacrifice a lot. Now instead of thinking up moves to make to prevent Mamorel from laying a hand on her she was thinking up moves to make after Mamork laid a hand on her. She smirked in the face of death as she gripped the handle of her blade and backed up toward the wall. To gain anything in this battle would meaning sacrificing a lot. To truly win she would have to sacrifice not only the battle, but maybe even her life.
