In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Doogie stepped off of the gummi ship, wondering where they were. He had thought that he heard the navigation thing on the ship say something like "Halloween Town" but Doogie didn't know what Halloween Town even was! So, as he stepped out of the gummi ship, he looked around, Shun was of course behind him, so, looking around, all he saw was an odd fountain that was circulating this odd, green, liquid. And a guillotine off to the side. How odd...It's almost like this place is supposed to be scary...good thing I've seen scarrier... he thought.
Of course, Doogie had yet to look down. Had he looked at himself, he would see that his skin had suddenly turned a pale white, almost yellow-ish color, and had the appearance that it was peeling. His hair was dusty white-ish color, and his clothes were torn, and raggy. His skin also seemed to be stitched together in several different places.
"Hey Shun, I think the coast is clear!" He called back toward the gummi ship.
Just before the door to the Gummi Ship was opened, Shun had been looking through the pages of the Book of Memories. Counting the summon he had gotten at Traverse Town, the boy now had three available summons, which was something to celebrate. Finding it had been hard, especially since Xavier was there to slow them down. The young male sighed, looking back through his many memories. Even though his life in Traverse Town hadn't been that pleasant, he couldn't complain. He had left behind many things there.
However, Shun would have to move on. After all, wasn't he the one who wanted to leave "that rock"? As his traveling partner walked into the new world, the summoner slowly followed him. He was analyzing the Doogie summon that was being created; it was almost complete. However, suddenly it began to change... "What the..." he thought as he gazed at the page. The skin looked like it was... rotting, and his hair white.
"Hey Shun, I think the coast is clear!"
Shun quickly lifted his gaze from the book to Doogie's back. He blinked twice, looked back at the picture and then again at the boy. "Doogie... look at your skin. It's all rot-" The summoner's voice died as his green gaze observed his own skin. It was pale, VERY pale. However, that was not the end of it; as the boy leaned forward a bit to see his skin closer, his head suddenly fell down. Fortunately, his left hand was able to catch it. "What the hell is going on?!" Shun asked, trying to put his head in its place once again. He now had fangs, and his hair was even darker than before.
"Doogie... look at your skin. It's all rot- What the hell is going on?!"
Hearing Shun say something about hus skin, Doogie raised his hand, and looked at it, "Gah! What the?" Then he looked over at Shun just in time to see him place his head, which now had fangs, and was extremely pale, back up on his neck.
"Ok, Shun, that is just plain 'ol scary!! And I don't get scared easily!"
'Twas true. It took quite a bit to scare Doogie, but seeing a friend place his fang-filled head back on his shoulders was pretty scary. Doogie looked around again, wondering if anyone was around to see or hear this little exchange of words. Thankfully nobody was around, or atleast, not that Doogie could see.
"Oh thanks, you look lovely as well." He replied sarcastically, smirking at his new friend. Believe it or not, he was wondering the same as Zombie-Boy. Was the town empty and deserted? Hopefully not, that would make their visit more creepy and more boring. Suddenly, a small tune reached the summoner's ears. It was hard to understand the words completely.
"Doogie, listen!" Shun quietly said, paying attention to the song. Many voices sang it... could the town's inhabitants be celebrating? Suddenly, the boy understood the song's words. "Boys and girls of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see. This, our town of Halloween. This is Halloween, this is Halloween. Pumpkins scream in the dead of night! This is Halloween, everybody make a scene. Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright, it's our town, everybody scream. In this town of Halloween...."
As Doogie listened he shivered slightly. Not from the cold, but from apprehension. As he actually thought about the eeiree tune was saying, he shivered yet again. These people who were here were honestly the wierdest, scariest people he had met. Again, it took quite a bit to scare Doogie, but when the he heard the words, "...till the neighbors gonna die of fright..." he got scared, wondering what these people could possibly be, and why they would think such things.
"Ok, that's just odd. We should go check it out! Let's go Mr. Headless Shunster!
As he headed off, he looked at his notebook, looking at his attempted (unfinished of course) drawing of Shun. Each time he redrew it, it got better. Soon enough it will be good enough to where he would be trusting enough in the drawing to help him in a battle if finished.
As Doogie looked for the song's source, the summoner shook his head, grinning and ignoring the nickname. To him, the song wasn't that scary. Courageous and sassy were only two of Shun's many qualities, both good and bad. After all, courage leads to overconfidence, and the latter eventually leads to failure... or worse: death.
"So, where do you think our masoquist friends are located, Dr. Frankenstein?" He mockingly asked, looking around the town. From what he could see, Shun assumed that they were going up the hill... that weird looking hill. After all, the voices were comming from that direction.
Doogie looked around, and was able to notice that the song's source seemed to be coming from the other side of an...odd...hill.
"Umm, let's go up the hill, I think it's coming from that way! Trying to not show his fright, Doogie immediately started walking that way. "Well, are you comin' Shunny? Doogie grinned at their exchange in nicknames.
As a chilly breeze played with his hair, Shun eyed the artist with some sort of surprise. It had been so long... so long since one had used that nickname. Had it been his mother? Probably, no one else could have used it. A slight nostalgic feeling filled the summoner's being, his eyes becomming watery for a moment; a single tear ran by his cheek, reaching its final destination at one of the book's pages. Of course, he was rarely weepy, but Shun missed his family and friends.... all of them who had perished back home.
Trying to hide this fact, the summoner didn't look up. "Yeah, I am." And there he went, following Doogie toward the odd-shaped hill. Excluding his slightly red eyes, Shun was fine, as if the reaction to the nickname had never occured.
And so, Doogie and Shun set off toward the odd-shaped hill. As they got to the top of it, the wierd curl at the top uncurled, allowing Shunny and Doogles to cross into a new place where they were surrounded by tombstones, and a large coffin. At the other end of the little road was a large metal gate. All around the outside of the tombstones was large brick. As Doogie looked around, he heard the voices carried on the wind coming from the gate.
Doogie walked forward, toward the gate, when suddenly several ghost heartless, and several shadow heartless showed up. "Oh crap. You ready to fight Shun?" Doogie drew his blade from the scabard at his hip, holding it down at his side, waiting for the heartless to make the first move.
Following the drawer closely, Shun climbed the hill, wondering where it lead. The summoner was attacked by several chilly winds as they went up, making him fall once or twice. Minutes passed, and at last both teenagers reached the top. The dark haired boy look down, thinking that they had reached a dead end. "Tough luck, I think we should-" Suddenly, the curled top started to uncurl, creating a "bridge" for both of them to cross. "-cross that bridge!" And thus, the two friends continued to advance, just as Shun wondered about the hill's magic. "This world is full of magic... this means another summon is nearby." The boy glanced around the graveyard, looking for a totem similar to the one he found at Traverse Town. No luck. After a while, several voices made themselves known to the pair. "I got a bad feeling about this."
((Shun has sensed danger nearby! It is advisable to save your game now. *shot*))
Suddenly, many creatures appeared, obviously hostile against Doogie and him. He quickly recognized one of the groups: Shadow Heartless. The other type, however, was unknown to him, as well as its powers. The summoner quickly turned the pages of his book, at last locating the summon he needed. "Watch this, Doogie." Concentrating his energy in the book, Shun's hands were surrounded by two small, white clouds of mana. "Libri quod citatus, citatus quod libri; audite nostrum voluptarius quod iuguolo suum furta. Validus niveus proeliator, vindico suum sins; haud Heartless can reluctor, vox of Sin!"*
There was a flash of light, and Shun was suddenly joined by a tall, dark skinned man, dressed in full armor. The Blade of Hope was held righteously in his right hand, ready to defend the summoner. "Sin, Warrior of Light, at your service." And he bowed at the teenager, who just smirked as he looked at their enemies. The shadows were weaker... the light portal had possibly affected them. That was good... really good.
"Sin, I need to you to kill these Heartless scum. Oh, and feel free to play with them for a while." Shun's summons were different, they weren't like video game characters. They had personalities, voice, and wills. They weren't slaves, they were partners. "As you wish, my liege." Moments later, the Warrior of Light was decapitating the Shadow Heartless, enjoying their "death" as the white armor shielded him against the Ghost Heartless's attacks.
((*="Books and summons, summons and books; hear our pleas and kill their tricks. Mighty white warrior, punish their sins; no Heartless can resist, the power of Sin!"))
...Whoah...that was all that Doogie thought as Shun summoned a warrior by mere words. Doogie suddenly felt like he had someone like him. He finally found another summoner. The only differences being how they summoned things, Doogie by drawing, and Shun by reading.
"Ok Shun, that is intense!" he said as he put his sword away, seeing that the heartless were dispatched. "Ok, well, their is something I feel like you would appreciate." With this, Doogie got out his notebook, and drew a few final lines with confident, strong strokes and finished his drawing of a wizard, and in a flash of light, Doogie's notebook disappeared, and in a different flash of light, a old, Wizard appeared about 3 feet away from Doogie.
"Hey, this is my friend Shun. Would you mind staying with us for a while, helping us if we run into any heartless?"
"Certainly!"
Similar to Shun's summons, Doogie's summons had personalities and such. They were by no means slaves. They were in essence, Doogie's memories about the person or thing, represented by a drawing, then come to life in the form of a finished drawing.
"Thanks!" Shun said, replying to Doogie's compliment. He was really proud of his summons; they were rare and unique. They were alive. The summoner beamed from ear to ear, watching as Sin took care of the last Ghost Heartless. Making a gesture with his hand, Shun watched as Sin disappeared in a flash of light, his book flashing for a second as well.
"Ok, well, there is something I feel like you would appreciate."
The boy watched carefully as Doogie took out his notebook and continued to draw. He raised an eyebrow, wondering why he was drawing in the current situation. But of course, he had never seen him fight... perhaps it was one of his techniques?
Pretty much.
Before Shun could say "Helluva", some kind of wizard had appeared in a flash of light. He felt a slight moment of Deja Vu, but quickly shook it off. So Doogie could summon his drawings... interesting. "Wow," he managed to say, admiring the complex outfit the wizard wore. The boy's traveling companion was sure skilled.
"Hey, this is my friend Shun. Would you mind staying with us for a while, helping us if we run into any heartless?"
Hearing these words, Shun slightly widened his eyes, heavily surprised. Doogie had said friend... friend. God, how long had the summoner waited to hear that word. Even though he tried to act tough and confident around Doogie, Shun was never the social type. During the first thirteen years of his life, he had never made many friends. Most considered him weak and useless.
The next years at Traverse Town weren't any better. The only true friend he had made was the magician Merlin, but he had never seen him again. Sure, he had been able to strike a few friendly conversations with the shopkeepers, but nothing else. Shun had been really lonely.
Shaking all of these memories off, Shun gripped the book tightly. "That was... fantastic." he smirked before changing the subject. "So, shall we get going?"
"That was... fantastic. So, shall we get going?"
Doogie was really happy that Shun found his ability "fantastic", and he was excited and nervous about how Shun's eyes had widened when the word friend had been said. Yes, Doogie had noticed. He was quite perceptive. He was hoping the eye widening was a good thing, I mean, I don't think he really had any true friends on Traverse Town...atleast none he wanted to say goodbye to before we left. Maybe he was surprised and happy when I said friend..., he thought.
"Well thanks! Yours was awesome too. I think we'll make a good team! Let's go."
And with that, Doogie started off toward the gate, which he stepped through, and on the other side, a large town was revealed. In the middle was a large fountain with, Green water?! Well that can't be healthy!
Shun remained silent for the rest of the walk, going back to the shy personality he carried around through Traverse Town. Making friends was hard for him; he was a lone wolf. Even back home at Nox, Shun wasn't the social type. His everyday normal world was made from his family, one or two close friends, and his training.
"I must remain strong."
He had to be strong; he couldn't let him see what he really was: a weakling. Doogie, the only guy willing to welcome him with open arms. Too open, too trusting, too naive. However, he was strong, cool and had wits, the first two lacking in Shun.
Crossing the dark gate, Shun looked up, noticing the big town around them. Looking at the fountain, he realized that a Heartless temple looked tame. The green water was certainly repulsive. Feeling a chill run through his spine, the boy quickly glanced at the figure in front of him. A friend; a safehouse.
Shun quickly noticed there were two paths past the fountain; he wasn't sure which was the right one, and both were similar. "Yeah... and it's giving me a chill. We should be going." The summoner looked back at the paths in front of them.
And that was a very good question indeed! Doogie honestly had no idea where they should go. He wasn't even sure what they were looking for!
"I guess that depends on what we're looking for! We could go into any of these buildings, explore the town some more, or go off into those woods and look around...what do you want to do?"
Doogie turned as he said this, now facing his friend...the only person that he felt safe with in a place like this.
