In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Jawn had just come back from a nice practice session in the third district. Heartless were expendable. Good for practicing fighting them. Traverse Town was a nice place. As he was practicing though he started to get a little tired and thirsty. So he came straight for the First District where he knew he'd be safe.
Sitting on the bench he sat there with a nice water. He set his sword on the bench next to him. Some day he was going to earn back the sword he had given up long ago. But that day wasn't here yet. Day dreaming of that frightful day he started going through a slideshow in his head. First he saw the library of the castle and himself handing the treasure map to Lyon.
Than he had replayed the whole scene of his fight with Lyon and all of that. He had looked at what he could do differently to change that. And thought maybe he should've ended him when he had the chance. Than he recalled seeing his weapons. The dear weapons he left behind in that castle because they didn't deserve such a terrible master.
High time to earn those weapons back. Thinking about it he realized it was time to finally go on his mission. Find Max. Prove himself by defeating Max. And win back the second half to his soul. His pride and joy. Getting up from the bench he grabbed his sword and started to walk off again. When he stumbled and fell back onto the bench. Apparently he hurt his ankles. With a loud sigh he just sat there and relaxed more.
A dull buzzing sound began to flow through the First District, soft enough to not be fully noticed, but loud enough to annoy. Slowly, it amplified in pitch as a faintly glowing ice blue light in the general shape of a door began forming in the middle of the District. As the buzzing grew to the point that it was more of a screech, RayFrost tumbled forth from the blue light, the light vanishing as he barely caught his balance by grabbing a convenient pole.
As he stood up and dusted his clothing, Ray looked around the area, unsure of where he was and hoping he had not interrupted the goings on. As he noticed that there seemed to be nobody particularly bothered by his appearance, he then set his mind to figuring out where he was. It was plain from the archives in his home world that this was another world entirely, but whether or not the people were hostile...?
Ray sighed to himself at the thought of being forced to fight, he had always hated being forced to fight other humans. As Ray regained his sense of direction, a man sitting on a bench nearby caught his eye. Ray turned slowly, watching the man carefully to determine if he was trustworthy or not. As he did so, he made a polite bow to the man, speaking in a soft but clear voice "Hello there. Might you perhaps be able to inform me of where I am...? I am afraid that traveling between worlds has left me completely disoriented."
Even had been travelling in the Second District, steering clear of humans on a training session. For whatever reason, he decided to venture into the First District, and staying in the shadows, he walked toward the Accesory Shop, and things like that. Then, he was distracted by a shining blue light that took shape of a door. What the hell? Even thought. First time I've seen anything like that. But I guess there is a first time for everything. Let's see what happens... And so, Even stayed in the shadows, waiting for the moment to walk out. He might be able to pump information out of one of them. And who knows, he might even get some entertainment!
Jawn opened one eye to look at the newcomer. He was relaxed and kind of tired. Than after the noise his sense had gone back to normal. He tried smelling this guy's scent of darkness, he seemed pretty good. But than something else caught his senses. He couldn't pinpoint exactly what or where it was. But it was strong. As strong as those guys he had met. As a matter of fact. He kind of recognized this one. Oh well, he'll figure out momentarily if push comes to shove. Than closing his eyes again he leaned back against it and put his sword back in it's holster.
"Traverse Town. First District. But I have to say you came at a bad time. Something's here. Something tough"
He didn't want to overreact. That wouldn't be cool. Afterall whatever it was he could probably handle on his own if this guy didn't get in the way. But oh well. Than silently he put his hand forward for a handshake.
"Name's Jawn. And who might you be?"
The last time he introduced himself to someone he almost ended up killing them. It's ironic how time can go by in isolation.
Ray smiled softly to himself, as the individual seemed trustworthy, if not very trusting. Upon hearing the man's words, he sighed softly to himself.
"So... it seems I may have to fight upon my first visit after all..."
Ray lightly took the proffered hand, shaking for a moment before breaking contact, turning slowly to examine the area around them while speaking "I am Ray Linder Frost, though I prefer being called by Ray." As Ray's eye scanned the shadows, he loosened his muscles in preparation for the potential fight. It would be no good to die because I was too tense. He smiled softly to himself, wondering if he should make the first strike.
"So, Jawn... would you mind if I gave this tough guest of ours a treat...? I'd hate to not give them a proper welcome..."
Even's hearing didn't even have to be particularly powerful for him to hear their conversation. Stupid humans. So loud. They give away their plans before they even make them... Of course, Even wasn't going to strike first. That would just be dumb. He checked to make sure that he was in the shadows, and seeing that he was, he stayed there, waiting for them to find him.
He already was planning out his battle plan in his head though, even as he waited for them to strike. He would probably use Stalagbite just to catch then offguard. But first, he might make them chase him. Going into the Second District would be fun. Even more heartless for them to attack.
Jawn had finally managed to pinpoint the scent in time to hear ray's comments. Getting up he shaked his foot a bit to get rid of the pain and check if it was good enough to fight. He had pinpointed him to the exact location. And looking over there the guy was actually hiding pretty well, but could be seen if the person looking knew where to look. Putting his hand on the shoulder of the new guy he smirked.
"I like you man. Eager to fight. Ready to have some fun. But be careful, this guy seems pretty strong."
As he said this he pointed to where the guy was hiding.
"Save me some"
He smiled cheerfully. He was starting to remember this guy. A small memory. Had to do with those beasts. Maybe the guy with the harpoons. He still couldn't exactly pinpoint the memory but he knew him.
"By the way. I think I may have met this guy before. Once I see him I'll know what he can do"
He said as he pulled out his sword. Of course he was going to let ray make the first hit or two and than he'd join. But he would join nonetheless.
Ray smiled softly to himself, snapping his fingers toward the location, blue aura forming around the gloves as two small shards of ice formed in front of the glove, each a mere half a centimeter in size. This, of course, was a distraction for the main meal: the five two inch long daggers of ice forming in the air above the shadows.
"Hello there, shadowy one! Will you come out, or shall I force you...?"
Ray dropped his hand, the shards zooming forth and turning into water mid-flight upon reaching two feet away from the shadows, the water zooming forward due to the momentum but completely harmless. It was at this time that the shards had finished forming above and promptly fell. Ray always tested his foes to determine their abilities, lest he expend too much or too little energy in thought and combat.
Although Ray fully expected a dodge, he figured it would be best to have an opponent out in the open instead of in the shadows: easier to see them. Ray felt a keen desire to figure out what was going on, as the archives of home hinted at huge things but never covered them.
"Jawn, would you mind filling me in on the situation with all these dark creatures while we deal with this foe? I'm afraid the archives of my now deceased homeworld didn't have enough information..."
Ice? He expects to use ice? Even looked up slightly, seeing the ice forming above his head, then seeing it drop toward him. Instead of dodging it, he simply created a small dark portal above his head, unseen by his two opponents since he was in the shadows. Then, Even created two shards of ice, of the exact size of the first two, and had then shoot off toward one of his opponents, the one he had seen before. Behind the other, he had the dark portal open, just long enough for the first two shards of ice to shoot out. As soon as that was done, Even closed the dark portal. Let's see how the dumb humans do against that little experiment...
Jawn always had quick reflexes. Since he was a kid stealing from the shops in his slum of a town. To when he had to kill his own father. To the very points of where his life flashed before his eyes as he thought he was about to lose it. Basically, all of his reflexes were carved finely. He smelled a small change in velocity of darkness but had no idea what was going on. But than he saw the ice come flying back.
It was coming at him. Simply jumped he managed to get right over them by doing a flip so he can observe anything from it. No melting whatsoever. After racing there and back, the time would melt at least some of the water. But this had absolutely no melting on it. He saw clearly enough that this wasn't the shards that were sent at him. Than he finally remembered exactly what it was. The last time he did a flip like that he dodged a lightning chockwave but also had ice flying at him.
Now he remembered the smell. Looking at the guy he was teamed up with he couldn't help but laugh. This was just perfect.
"I just remember. I don't think ice will do any good against this guy. Got anymore tricks up your sleeve before I decide to jump in. No pun intended"
He said looking at him curiously to see exactly what other tricks were up this guy's sleeve. Darn, he was messing with someone affiliated with the guy with the harpoons. This guy had tried to attack him before too. He wasn't a friend that's for sure.
Ray felt the very shards he had created move, but he didn't know how. Despite this, he was able to quickly transfer the ice into water before the shards penetrated into his back, the water getting on his suit, which was water resistant. He had trained to the extent that his control over his own powers was precise and fast, and he was happy to see his training working out.
He glanced toward Jawn, smiling slightly. "How about I do things the old fashioned way and you do your thing?" With that, Ray changed his stance, deciding it'd be best to go with hand to hand combat rather than reveal too much of himself.
"Jawn, I do not mind if you jump in, but don't expect help if you get hurt."
With that, Ray stood still, waiting as he thought through his plans for this situation. I either go in gung ho and potentially die because I wasn't cautious enough, or I get worn down from a distance, hmmm.... What to do, what to do...
Hmm, it seems they were able to easily dodge the simple attacks, and -- what's that? Oh, goody! The one that I've seen before is telling the other not to use ice. That's even better. I bet the second one isn't very good at fighting! But, time for more experiments to make sure! And with this thought, he quietly whispered,
"Stalagbite"
And with those simple words, he had large stalagmites of ice shoot out of the ground. This was Even's weakest attack, and who knows...it might even hit one of them, but Even doubted either would be hurt. So, Even stayed in the shadows, ready to portal to get a better edge on them.
Jawn was about to take off when he was lifted into the air by a sharp edge of ice. Leaning forward he managed to be avoidng the point and started sliding down using the momentum of the throw down to boost his speed. Coming at him full speed and with light footsteaps he was ready for some simple combat. Anyone who relies heavily on magic is no good in close combat. Pulling out his sword he had already located the person easily and saw him.
With a lunge he was about to do a vertical strike but right before he did so he caught his foot and pivoted. Doing a full circle around he did a horizontal strike instead. A good juke when used properly and fast. And Jawn executed it in less than three seconds. He probably couldv'e gotten through without it but oh well. As he did this he also pulled out his staff and hooked it onto the chain around his waist.
The spinning motion as he held out the staff took the chain right off of him as it flew back and started swinging around from the momentum of the turn. Jawn would get out of the way in time of course. But he had to make sure this next one hit before he brought forth this attack. This attack was a bit too stronge to just jump into like that. As he brought he sword the chain was rapidly coming at the circle.
Instead of standing there to let the chain hit him he had already done his full swing. Wether it hit the opponent or not, his 360 combo had to be executed fast otherwise they would get out in time. Doin a sideways jump as if it was a cartwheel but it wasn't actually touching the ground me managed to hold the staff steadily as he flipped over it. Putting the staff in between him and his opponent in case of retaliating anway. Now the chain was flying at high velocity at his opponent. It was a long chain so it would have long range. And unless he managed to dodge and go really far back in time it would likely wrap around him, trapping him and also leaving him with plenty of cuts.
This technique was pretty advanced and had to be executed fast. And from the point where jawn juked his vertical strike to the circle with the chain. It had taken less than three seconds. He had finally masterd one of his greatest techniques. And it looked pretty flashy too.

Ray smiled softly, pivoting on his left foot around the first piece of ice that burst from the ground near him, then kicking up with his right foot and pushing off, flipping over the other ice that shot upward toward him. Why do people make such obvious tests...?
Ray lightly landed out of the field of ice, deciding to take a warier stance toward this opponent, knowing that to reveal too much too soon may lead to his demise. It was thus that he watched Jawn unleash an interesting and rather fun to watch technique. Still, there is the risk of something so complex causing difficulty if the opponent has other forms of movement than just their feet is high... Ray stood still, gathering his focus and energy for what was going to come next.
