In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Antique had finally managed to tire herself to the point of complete and utter exhaustion. Sleep didn't come very easily to her when things weighed heavily on her mind. So, muscles aching, her body forced her mind to finally just completely drift off to sleep. Her life before Traverse Town had been completely different--there were plenty of things to get the ball of energy busy, and to sleep. And from the looks of it, she had honestly needed it.
Claymore stuck into the ground so that it sat vertically, Antique rested against the blade fully clothed, her arms folded over her chest. Even though she was sleeping, her body still looked completely tense, as if it could spring to life at any second. Only her face looked somewhat relaxed. The sheets on the bed looked ruffled, as if she had earnestly tried to sleep in a comfortable bed; but old habits died hard. She could only seem to sleep in this position, her body facing the door if anyone came in.
The sound of the sea crashing against the sand. Like Traverse Town, the beach she drempt of was completely dark. A moon hung just above the horizon. It was completely peaceful; though she was not familiar with this place. Feeling herself raising from the sand, she looked over the sea.
Someone was calling her name. When bare feet went to touch the water, she felt something cold against her hand.
Glass?
She found herself in a giant hour glass, though there was no sand pouring from the top. Instead, th white sand of the beach slipped through her hands, onto an elegant white dress. It took her a bit to realize that it was she who was wearing the odd clothing.
The sound of violins filled the beach. She brushed hardened hands along the white sand of the beach, hands that she almost didn't recognize as her own, then brought them to cover her heart. She vaguely felt eyes on her, as she always did in dreams--but from where, she didn't know.
Light filled her dream, as if a door were opening in the ocean. Her adopted mother, Henrietta, came through the door, looking down at her almost piteously. She hadn't dreamed of her mother for a very long time.
"What are you doing sleeping on the floor, Antique?"
The smell of snow jarred her thoughts as she woke from the dream somewhat, her fuchsia eyes blinking at the visitor.

"Are you alright little one?" Jadis asked once she saw that Antique was awake after the girl took notice of her presense a few minutes after entering her hotel room. Her long smooth gown was a midnight blue with a few golden stars radiating from a golden crescent. Her long hair was pulled back into a single braid as it swayed with each step before she sat silently on the bed's edge. "You don't look so fine at all; you're even tensing."
A smooth, yet powerful hand touched the girl's shoulder before petting her bright blue hair. She knew she wouldn't be so fine, especially with that little Kousei speedbump, but Jadis had already visited the boy. He wouldn't be making any wrong steps when Jadis was watching like a hawk; the town was her eyes and ears. With a thought, the Ice Witch thought she should invest in some evergreen trees. It was getting close to a snowy season, and the Traverse Town Nights were becoming colder. It would surprise her if it will snow tomorrow.
"Perhaps Traverse Town have too much excitement to absorbs in the days you were here." She didn't want to bring up the previous predicament unless Antique initiated it first; the Lady would rather have her apprentice comfortable for conversation, but it seems she needed sleep more than everything.
"Maybe some tea, some work milk, or hot chocolate can brighten up the endless night."
Eyes adjusting to the flood of light, Antique reached up to rub her eyes of sleep. Coming from dreamland when she hadn't been sleeping well to begin with was a hard transition. She heard the worlds vaguely, wasn't even sure who exactly it was. She knew the prescience wasn't of malice.
A hand on her shoulder, she tensed right up and almost twitched away. Then on her head. Comforting. She felt so very weak--her mind felt sluggish, her body tired from the week following the event. But for some reason, at that moment, it seemed alright. Her head found it's way onto Jadis' knee, though it was hesitant.
"Tea sounds very nice right now, mum," she said tiredly.
She heard her own voice, her head shot up. "I mean--M'lady!" she said in almost a panic. The circles under her eyes were obvious. "Sorry...I didn't mean to..." Her cheeks blushed bright pink, despite her tiredness.

Jadis' face smiled in amusement before chuckling softly,"There's no need to be ashame, love, especially when I claim you as my own anyway. Plus you're tired; you don't need to excite yourself with panic over formalities." The Ice Witch petted the soft blue hair.
Her spare hand reached for a pocket at her hip; she had forgottened that she was wearing a nightgown, so there wasn't none. Waving her hand up, darkness collected as it summoned a silver vial. With a push of her thump, the cap popped open before she poured out a small amount of silver liquid. The single droplet landed on the bed before spacing out into a platter. The liquid came to life by traveling up forming saucers with cups on them. With the cracking of hardening ice turning into material, a tray with a tea set was formed with a small bowl of sugar, a capsule of lemon juice, and another filled with honey. The cups were filled with steaming tea with a spoon in each one.
"Now that should do it," grabbing the tray, she placed it between herself and her apprentice. "Antique, dear, when was the last time you had some sleep? Your face speaks as if you've been a nightowl for weeks."
Her cheeks, pink, as a maiden's, dulled a bit. Antique was just a bit embarassed by basically calling Jadis her mother. That word hadn't flown out of her mouth in years, especially since her own adopted mother had passed. Besides, as much as Antique wouldn't like to admit, she was still a teenager. A kid.
There's no need to be ashame, love, especially when I claim you as my own anyway. Plus you're tired; you don't need to excite yourself with panic over formalities.
She brought her gaze to the ground. For a moment, shame. Did Jadis know she was housing a monster of a girl? Momentarily, she brought her eyes to peek--watched as the darkness manipulated itself into a vial--then a drop of water became a teaset. With tea. The smell flooded her nostrils; warm, comforting.
"Antique, dear, when was the last time you had some sleep? Your face speaks as if you've been a nightowl for weeks."
Her small, yet rough hands held onto the cup, liking the heat coming off from it. The aroma. The right heat for the flowers to have come to full bloom perfectly. She kept her position on the ground, prefering it for the moment.
"A full nights rest...? I believe about a week ago," she said quietly. She shut her eyes. "I..." she said, looking into her cup of tea. "I have trouble sleeping when there is too much on my mind."

Jadis watched the child closely as her legs crossed over one another like an indian style. Sitting up straight, she brought the tea cup towards her lip inhaling the sweet steam. Her fingers spoones some sugar into her cup before adding a drop of honey and lemon juice, while listening to her charge.
"What could be plaguing your mind so late tonight?" The Ice Witch asked as her tea began to stir slowly in circles before bringing it up to her lips for a sip. "It must be very important to make you appear so stressed."
She wondered if all of it had to do with that boy, Kousei. He should be roaming about as a girl by now. How he was managing, she didn't know, nor did she had a fiber in her to care at the moment. Antique was her main concern now, especially if her new apprentice may act out in response to her condition. Jadis added a mental note to check on Mikael as well afterwards once she knew that Antique would be fine and stable.
Antique's eyes roamed around her room; she had collected a few bearings since she had appeared in Traverse Town. Roze's rose that she had recieved lay ina cheap plastic vase on a small table. The color was violet--an emotion rose, had he called it? A couple boxes of clothes. Though scattered, this was the most she had, well, had to herself in ages.
"It...really shouldn't," Antique said, taking a sip of her tea, letting the warm liquid run down her throat, and into her stoumach. "I'm a knight, afterall," she said as she stared into her liquid. "But I'm a monster as well," she said, shutting her eyes. So many faces appeared in her memories.
Her voice became soft, unsure of herself. But she trusted Jadis. "So...all this kindness that everyone shows me...do I really deserve it?" she asked, not really to Jadis, not really to anyone. "Even...when someone does..."
Mikael.
"I just...I don't act...normally..." she said. She brushed her hands through her hair, pulling the pink to blend into the blue, her widow's peak showing. The very edges of her hair showed a hint of white. "Should I act more like the monster I am?"

"My dear, I had lived a long life, a thousand years and some. I have seen my handful of monsters, and I do believe without a fact that they are more monstrous then you can ever be. You are a knight; you have dignity; you have morals and standards. Even now you couldn't stop your display of formalities." Her hand reached out to pet her apprentice's hair.
"It is true that we all have our personal demons, but that's all they are, little specks of darkness within us all. As from what I seen in you, you haven't allowed such lack of control. So in short my dear, we can all easily accomplish being monsters; it all weighs down with what we do with that inner devil within us all. "
"We all deserve kindness, because we put an effort in obtaining and containing self-control. You display yourself as a strong kind young woman with a knight's chivalry with an eager to learn. What's so monstrous about that?"
At first Antique couldn't bear to look at Jadis as she rubbed her hair, but as she continued to talk she slowly brought her eyes to look up to the older woman. Antique admired her, truely did.
There was honestly just a lot of guilt she felt. She was taken out of her world, out of her time and situation. One little comment had really been all it had taken to start a turmoil within the girl. A tummbling effect. Maybe because she had thought about it way too much.
"Are there...things...that can't be forgiven?" she asked quietly.

"Everything can be forgiven. If forgiveness was selective, then it wouldn't be forgiveness, but a hypocrite. All one must do is to sincerely mean it, since forgiveness doesn't take full effect when one's true intension isn't for redemption." Jadis answered truthfully as she reached down to lift the youth up to pull her back in bed. Compared to everything else, Antique was quite the lightweight to carry, then again the Ice Witch had bended weaponry and broke a lamp post.
"No matter how many demons you have or whatever you have done, it can all be forgiveness. Take it from the words of an old sorceress like myself." Her left hand began to illuminate as snowflakes swirled towards to center collecting into a solid. A tear drop opal came into view was a bright blue light past. With it came a chain, as the gem acted as a charm.
"Here," Jadis unclasped the necklace before bounding it loosely around her neck, "when you need me, all you have to do is ask."
Forgiveness. It seemed that everyone had different opinions on it. One person said that some things were never forgiven, someone else said that it was still possible. She closed her eyes in thought. Jadis was much older, much wiser than anyone she knew though. Her eyes shot open widely when her lady took her up and pulled her back up into her bed as if it were nothing.
She pulled some of the covers over her legs before she noticed the snow gathering in Jadis hand. There was always that child-like look of wonder whenever her teacher used magic; Jadis always made it look so simple, and yet so beautiful. And though Antique had been doing her best to try and learn, her rate of mistakes was still rather high.
An opal came into view, and Antique looked astonished. She was even more suprised when Jadis put it around her neck.
She cupped the gem in her hands and looked at it carefully. Antique owned very few nice things, so a gift like this was a very big deal. Jewelry was reserved for royalty and nobility.
"When you need me, all you have to do is ask."
She admired the stone, and looked back up at Jadis, with a look of concern. "Mum--I mean, M'lady...you speak as if you're going away? Or I'm going away."
Her eyes felt like they were misting up. She was too tired to fight it.

Jadis petted her hair reassuringly. She actually loved the texture of her hairs as her slim fingers combed through the colorful strands easily. Seeing her eyes, the Ice Empress made soft hushes. "Now now love, I'm not leaving any time to soon. Let's think of it as a quick way to contact me when needed no matter where we both may be including all of these districts here."
Obviously something had occured to trigger such disturbance within her apprentice, who easily became an adoptive child in the sage's eyes, in her grounds. Once finding out about it, she was enraged, but had to make sure nothing like this would ever occur again.
For once, she felt the need to protect someone other than herself or anything representing her, Jadis. It was a different change that she didn't mind. Looking back at it, her sudden protective nature at the news amused her. It took a child with the spirit of water to melt her.
"Oh yes, I must add that another had joined in apprenticeship, Mikael. Now you'll have someone to practice as well as a distraction from anything that tries to haunt you. We can talk more in the morrow. I think we both know you had enough for one day."
She began to hum a soft melody, while summoning more water to bend at her will. It started as a water blob before it spinned spherrically. The lights of the room started to dim down as the only source of light was from small eletrical orbs of soft pink and blue spectrums.
The orbs drifted into the water sphere. The shell of the sphere hardened with the crack of ice becoming a protective barrier like glass containing the water and lights inside it. As electricity based, the colors began to move rapidly in the liquid. Below the illuminated crystal ball, ice curcled decoratively to form a stance for the newly formed snow globe of lights.
Grabbing her capsule she used before and grasping the snow globe, she turned it over to pour the silve liquid underneath the skeletal stand of the snow globe. It soldified forming the rest of the stance and a turning trinket. The capsule was closed, and her slim fingers began turning the handle. The same melody she have been humming was being played.
Antique's eyes squinted as she held back tears. She never really meant to get so emotional. But she was. She just usually hid that fact alot better. Because she was so tired though, it took a little bit more energy to put up a facade. She smiled sheepishly under Jadis hand, and rubbed her eyes, glad that the gift wasn't a goodbye present.
The last time someone had given her a present like that, she had never seen them again. But Miles had been a Knight, just like her. Her adopted father, who had been one of the first victims of the original Heartless attacks on her world.
"I wish I could give you something back..." she said, and looked around. She still didn't own too many things. And nothing she could give Jadis would mean something as great as to what Jadis gave her. It kind of bummed her out. Kind of like how a child would feel when they gave them all these wonderful things, but the child couldn't give anything back. It could be homemade, but it still just, didn't match.
"Oh yes, I must add that another had joined in apprenticeship, Mikael. Now you'll have someone to practice as well as a distraction from anything that tries to haunt you. We can talk more in the morrow. I think we both know you had enough for one day."
"M-Mikael?" she said, her eyes shooting open, as if she were fully awake. Her cheeks turned red. The guy that had called her an angel, who had basically tried to serenade her, the person she basically ran away from? She swallowed nervously. She had nothing against him, but she felt it would be very awkward. Her heart beat. She stared at the blankets. "That...sounds like a good idea," she said quietly.
Then the room became dimmer. Antique finished off her cup of tea, watching the pink and blue lights. She set her empty cup down and listened to Jadis hum, watching the lights. It felt very calm, and she could feel her eyes getting heavier and heavier.
Her head started to sway, and she kept her head up as much as she could. It seemed that she could at least sleep now. Talking to Jadis made her feel safe. The melody made her feel safe, warm.

Jadis chuckled at her hushed mumbling voice. She turned the key again for the music can continue to play to ease her beloved Antique to sleep. Slowly she began to clean their little tea session up by placing the cups back on the tray to settle it on the nearby nightstand. "That it is, dear. That it is."
Not in the mood to leave just yet, the Ice Sorceress remained next to Antique, while thinking things over. She knew Mikael and Antique had met, but not the technical details of their dynamics. From her reaction, there was something between them like a little bump or something. Lacking the skill of clairvoyancy, she didn't attempt to figure it out feeling that it will unfold when it was time to bloom.
Looking outside the window, her evergreen eyes picked up the dusty specks of snow. "The eve of winter have finally ended."
Antique's eyes fluttered closed for a few moments, but then reopened to focus for a few seconds. Her hands felt around for a pillow to hug, and she vaguely wondered where Clarent was. Grasping a pillow, she held it under her chin to keep herself up.
She laughed a little bit at the sound of the snow globe, watching the insides of it. One of her hands hid underneath the pillow, grasping delicately onto the necklace. After a long couple of weeks, she finally felt at ease. But, there was a nagging feeling at the back of her head. Like, there was something very, very wrong. Not like she could comprehend what it meant.
"The eve of winter have finally ended."
A gentle smile spread across her face. Lightly, she undid her grip on the opal around her neck, and held her hand out toward the window, palm up, in hopes of catching a snowflake. She knew it wasn't really possible, until a few, followed by a trail of light like a pheasants tail, managed to flutter gently into her cupped hand.
Blinking a couple of times as the snowflakes melted in her hand, leaving them a bit pink from where they touched, she looked at Jadis, then at the window again. She willed it to happen again, though nothing happened.
