In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

She was stumped and didn't like it. Never did she ever had a tinker block; actually it was an artist block. Alena was sketching out a new weaponry once concluding that both heartless and nobody needed something harder to make them scamper away compared to The Stick. The heartless would just stay away momentarily, but never leave for sure, while the nobodies scamper away in pain. She needed to make something lethal.
Sure lethal wasn't generally her creations, but desperate times called for a change in thoughts and ideas.
Thus far she had three sketches on one page such as: a mace, staff/cane, and a sythe. The sythes were famously used in the fields and farms to tame the land for it won't attract unwanted wild critters that can destroy their seasonal productions and outputs. The staff/cane was like her stick, while the mace was a little thing she made to whack away the falcons and owls from the peaceful hollows.
"This sucks..", she muttered. Everything was going in her way when a few people gave her money and taught her the world's currency, which she spent it on a sketchbook and pencils. She couldn't put her tinkering on hold, and she must sketch an idea before purchasing objects to tinker.
Wandering and wandering, traveling and traveling, there was never time to rest for the traveling princess, ambassador of her country but a tinkerer at heart.
"Noo, I can't find any representative ... I know! I'm gonna take it easy and talk with the first person i met!"
A flawless plan. Afterall what could go wrong with randomly approaching the first non heartless creature she found?
"Oh, lady fairy!"
She saw near the figure of Alena, a fellow tinkerer met some time ago. For the look in her tiny face, she was brainstorming for ideas
"Hi Alena the fairy from the Pixie Hollow, what are you doing?"
Curiosity overcome her common sense and she almost bumped into the in comparison diminutive fairy in an attempt to see what she was doing.

Looking up from her spot on the stairs, she looked up to see a familiar face and voice before smiling, "Oh no, I'm not tinkering just yet. I'm sketching a sketch of my next tinkering project. This world isn't as...," she looked around gazing at the people to think of a good world,"messy to have some junk to tinker with. That's what I usually use back at the hollow. Also with the stuff they do have here, I have to pay for."
"This how sense of money is quite awkward. What happened to just trading?" Alena shrugged. "What's the value of a yellow circle? You can't eat it; it doesn't look like a seed, but sure can take up room in your pocket."
Looking back at her sketch, she frowned before looking up noticing that Anya was still standing. "Come on sit, sit," she tapped on the cold cobblestone stairs. "There's plenty of room, and it's not like they use these stairs a lot. Although they are filthy as if they had."
"So any luck with your search for any puffy people?" She asked, while tapping her pencil's eraser against the sketch book.
"Money is easy to carry. I think it's quite convenient"
She sit on the stairs after properly clean it a little with a handkerchief and took a purse from one of her coat's large pockets and showed it to the fairy. It had quite a lot of munny inside, more than enough to eat and sleep in deluxe restaurants and hotels for a month.
"My dad gave me a lot of travel munny, I can buy anything!"
In the materialistic universe they lived, munny and power were everything. Lacking both of them meant that you wouldn't survive much in the cruel world.
".. but i would like it better if money wasn't needed. In my country we had lots of baaad fights due money. Money makes nice people become mean people and mean people become very mean people"
She put inside her pocket her fat wallet continued talking with the fairy from fairy hollow.
"And the puffy people ... no luck, but i heard that a puffy queen lives here! A kid told me that there's a lady THIS BIG in the area and looks like a queen."
As she talked she stand on the tip of her boots and stretched her arms to the sky, trying to show the fairy just how big was the rumored queen. And then, she sit down again.
"I want to find her someday. She must be one of those action queens I want to be someday. Cool, charismatic, and very fluffy!"
In her mind she imagined the rumored "wandering queen" as a classy and badass action empress. Master of etiquette at day and an awesome super heroine at night.
"And what were you sketching? I want to see, maybe I can help!"

"Oh, this thing," Alena turned the sketch book over to share with Anya, "I have a thing for weaponry these days. Also with what I have now, it isn't too lethal against what goes bumping the days and night. I do love my STICK, but these heartless and nobodies are more bothersome here."
"In Pixie Hollow, we hardly have heartless problems, but we must be careful when we're working out in Neverland or in the Mainlands. We don't have the same safety. Because of the danger, the seasons are going to be cancelled, and the fairies will have to stay inside the Hollow until its deemed safe."
"...I don't want to get my wings clipped," she wasn't speaking literally, but not being able to move about in the outside world bothered her like dog with flees.
"Since I'm not in the Hollow, I must make it my responsibility to be able to protect myself. Thus far I have this sythe end, a short staff, and a mace. I think the mace would do good near the handle for an offense for close range, but this sythe would have limited long range. I want it to be able to streeetch a further circumferance."
Brown eyes looked up at the tinkering Princess wondering if the gears in her mind started rolling, "Any ideas?"
Brainstorming for ideas, she found the answer to the little fairy's dilemma.
"A Laser! It's a STICK that shoots a beam of colorful light!"
If the little fairy didn't know about them, Anya gave a detailed explanation about basic laser technology and showed her a small one powered by rechargeable batteries with a powerful crystal amplifier inside. Not an offensive weapon at all but was strong enough to blind for a few seconds anyone who got laser'd in the eye. Also usable as a laser sight for ranged weapons.
"Or else ... an electric STICK!"
Using an a bit stronger battery and some wires, she quickly built a homemade stun-rod from a small piece of metal and a little battery and some wires.
"Maybe my ideas aren't good. Those thingies aren't strong if they are miniaturized ... then ... think-think-think ... what talents fairies have? Instead of creating random STICKS we should think about how to enhance your abilities"
And so, the brainstorming ended as Anya looked at her fellow tinkerer. What kind of powers a fairy has that can be improved for use in battle?

"A stick that shoots out light...." Alena blinked as Anya went in specific and deeper details. "That sounds like something a light fairy would be able to you quite easily, since they are talented with lights."
The tinker fairy thought it all over. It would be nice to store up such thing in a stick; it would be like wielding the talents she immensely lacked that her fellow fairies had. She heard the question before looking up at the princess.
"It's not really what talents we have, but what talents are chosen and fit with us. When a fairy is born, there's a ritual where they find their talent, and it's only one. It would be a talent they would feel so connected with that the artifacts they have to choose from will illuminate with fairy dust. So our talents make us who we are, so there are TYPES of fairies. There a animal fairies, the elemental fairies (which they can use only one), gardner fairies, story-telling fairies, summoning fairies, art fairies, harvet fairy, baking fairy, scouting fairy, and so on. This can go on for forever."
"I doubt I can be as efficient as my other fairy friends with their own talent, since it comes natural to me. I've already heard of a fairy that tried to learn their skill through them, that tinker nearly caused a cancellation on a season."
The princess commented. That was awfully mean and she would love to share a piece of her mind with whoever was the tyrant governing that land.
"Someday I want to visit Pixie Hollow. It would be an era of modernization! I have some cool ideas like a shop center, workshops, museums, workshops, laws about equal opportunities for fairies and workshops!"
She thought about how cool would be to have many fairies working in a workshop, wielding little soldering irons and wearing masks.
"Don't worry little fairy, I'm going to help you to maximize the potential of your talent. Mine is tinkering too, but I can do many other things like being an ambassador because I studied hard and nothing is impossible!"
She showed Alena her tools, that nifty came she used to snap a photo of Alena the day they met and gave her the ability to briefly glide in the air and can copy skills, the vacuum that absorbs magic and throws it back at the enemy and her pet robot Gustav, which once more breakdanced and shoot a powerful ice beam to the sky, leaving a trail of ice.
"Combine your tinkering with other talents and dreams to create tools that are cool and flashy! I like taking photos and cleaning, so i use those special tools, and my love for giant robots is represented by my little Gustav Karl!"

Alena blinked at Anya without commenting. Pixie Hollow was quite a small place; she was already feeling dizzy at the thought of how could they move everything modernized out here into a little hollow. She scratched her head before speaking, "Well it isn't silly at all. That fairy was denying who she was. With her attempt of being someone else, it led to catastrophy."
"Also I have a feeling that squeezing modernized stuff would be hard since we're all a bit on the pixie size." Alena's head then tilted," Heck the only thing we can get back are the junk we find like the sharp pieces of glass, springs, needles, and a few stuff we can find."
"Being so limited...size included, you can see why I left the Hollow. It's get quite stuffy in there when we don't have seasons to prepare for. Those heartless and nobodies truly made THAT difficult. Now that I'm bigger...with access to more junk I can make more stuff, while still being a Tinker Fairy...just not a small limited one." She puffed heavily. "If that will even work. I don't even have a basis to start."
"Don't worry little fairy, I'm going to help you to maximize the potential of your talent. Mine is tinkering too, but I can do many other things like being an ambassador because I studied hard and nothing is impossible!"
Her head tilted as she softly poked the pet robot. It felt hard and cold; she even indulged herself in softly knocking against it's cranium. So this is what tinkering was like when you were bigger. Sweet Nibblets.
"The industrial revolution is cool when everybody works together. You can expand the size of your home, create more jobs for the fairies, and lots of other things, like creating a ship to travel to other worlds, that's how i came to this place!!"
She took a notebook from her backpack, full with sketches about gadgets and ideas between other things and watched the old drawing she did about the industrial revolution in her homeworld. Those were drawings of happy workers smiting steel in factories, a clockmaker fixing an old styled wall clock, and a drawing of her mentor and great inventor Gustav next to her pet robot Gustav Karl.
"Silly rules stops us from getting better. Next time tell your friends that they are right and wrong at the same time. We are good at something and should exploit our natural talents, but that doesn't mean we should limit only to do only that. Anyone can learn tinkering if you have a lot of imagination and like to work with your hands!"
She noticed the fairy poking her robot with her small hands. That was so cute she had to resist the urge to try to do something weird like creating a power armor for the fairy, and she failed to avoid that as she idea of a SCIENCE! powered fairy was crazy enough to work.
"I know! Maybe i can create an armor powered by fairy dust for you! It would be normally heavy but you can make things fly, and maybe your powers can make the most likely heavy powered armor light like a feather! I would give it beam cannons, super strength and make it tough enough to punch things HARD!"
She once more checked her notebook and showed the fairy some prototype sketches she did of Gustav Karl. In her mind the idea was to produce a SCIENCE! powered cybernetic armor that would mimic the abilities of her robot and apply those concepts to the fairy armor.
"That would be fairytastic. You could become the first armored fairy of the universe, and you could shoot lasers, use DEADLY STICKs and punch enemies with the strength of a human or more!"

"Well hopefully I will remember that, if I do go back. I was lucky to travel safely here...in a bubble, but I can't even find Neverland from here. Hopefully, the tinkers are thinking of a way to keep the Hollow safe. The Light Fairies can repel the heartless from entering, but I'm not sure how long that will last. Perhaps, I should have stayed..."
Perhaps she was following the same path as Tink. Perhaps her purpose was to stay in Neverland and be the tinker she was instead of being a little rebel who wanted to explore. She could've thought of something to make to help increase the safety of his homeland, but instead she unintentionally abandoned it. Wrapped up in her thoughts, she barely heard Anya.
"And no I can't make things fly. Things don't have happy thoughts. I barely have happy thoughts." The fairy kicked a rock and listen to it skip across the cobblestone. A bit iritated she ripped the page out of sketch book and started another drawing.
"There was a weapon used against those heartless and nobodies, but I...forgot the name of it." The pencil sketched a blade with thin lithe vines that reminded her of the Hollow. The vines were thin for details with little balls on them, but the real damage would be caused by crystaline teeth.
If fairy dust could be applied to non living objects, that would've revolutionized the industry and provide a cheap and efficient method to give floating or flying properties to everyday machines like cars and even robots.
She gave a quick look at the drawings Alena was sketching. It was some sort of primitive weapon made of apparently fragile components. Such a thing didn't look at all like something that could stop the heartless.
"That STICK doesn't look strong, it could break easily unless those vines are hard like steel"

"Yeah, it should be made out of steel. I like to make things more harder and compatible, then the earth based stuff in the Hallow. Everything is made out of trees, plants, junk, or whatever we can find, but out here the maximum what I can do at home can be taken to the ultimate maximus! I just still have a thing for intricate stuff...for decorations I guess."
Alena showed the princess her STICK, "You see this is simply made out of carved wood. It's not so hard as everything here, or highly effective. I want to make EFFECTIVE stuff that can kick arse. It may be a pain to those at home, but here it's a toothpick."
"This drawing of this sword...can be easily made at home with stuff that would seem mediocre here, but I don't want to be a mediocre tinker. Is there even any scrap metal or something that hard here that's accessible, but easy to tinker with?" Alena looked up to Anya hoping she would have the answer. After all she seemed more into the techno stuff, while Alena can think on her toes to work with things found at a campsite.
"Even in my world steel is the ultimate metal, we do lots of things with steel from STICKS to robots! ... although I wonder where can we can find some easy to get steel and a workshop"
Think and think and think. Traverse Town was still a new, unknown place and as far she knew, there was no hardware store in this world.
"I know!, let's buy a steel weapon from the weapon shop. It's a bit crude to get materials like that, but once we buy something made of steel, we can borrow the installations those white. fluffy creatures with a red pom pom on their head uses for their synthesis to melt it and be able to work it"
It was a flawless plan. Afterall, she was loaded with $$$ and buying steel in the form of a tempered sword was cheap for her. The advantages of being rich were great.
"Now we know how to get the materials, so we have to brainstorm for cool ideas!"
She tried to think something cool for Alena, but with the reduced size of the fairy and the quite poor strength innate of fairies it was going to be hard to create something small, light and strong enough to hurt more than a STICK.
"What kind of things could you wield with ease? It's a bit hard to create miniature versions of bigger tools. I can get the materials and work some mechanical components, but it's hard to work with miniature things"
Post by Ellie who has 0% on Jan 21, 2010 13:17:18 GMT -4
"Also can we collect spare items, junk. I've heard that some of the heartless and possibly nobodies drop some junk, and who knows maybe with that junk, steel, some tinkering, and help from the poofy headed people, perhaps we'll get SOMETHING out of it. Sure even if we didn't use junk it would be a something, but it could be a SOMETHING something, or would it just be a something?"
Great she had already confused herself to the state of blinking like a clueless doe. Her elvish ears perked at the question. Absent mindedly, she began nibbling on a fingernail, while thinking. She never really had the reason to use weaponry at the hollow, since it was like living in a factory. She built tools to be used for others to help productivity of seasons, not for self-defense.
"Uuuuh, I can...wield a stick...," her lips pursed together as she hummed in thought. "Well if small things are hard, then I guess I will have to stay in this hume size a lot versus my nature...height."
