In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Mercator spun his head around and grew large eyes as he looked at Saffron surprised. The old man stood perplexed for a moment and then stuttered. Clearly caught unaware by her question he needed a couple of seconds to overcome the matter.
Regaining his senses the man stood calm and silent as he glared at her with narrow eyes. Mischievious eyes that were up to something. With some played attituded in his voice he started to ponder out loud: "Mmmh, travel together?... I don't really know... mmmm... It would be bothersome with you slowing me down all the time. mmm..."
Mercator was rolling his eyes up and tilting his head back as he playfully was tapping with his fingers against his chin. Letting it rest in the palm of his hand. Then with a grin he locked his eyes back on Saffron and said: "Well... if you don't become to much of a problem then sure, why not? Lets continue on together from now on."
Satisfied he righted himself from his chair, his smile simply beaming in the room. Mercator wouldn't admit it now, but he was just about to ask Saffron the exact same question. He was looking for a travel compangion, somebody that reminded him of how it was to be young again. and could help him in the dangerous parts of map making that requires a strong back and a good pair of legs. His body was still fit, but indeed old and weakening.
Seeing her getting up he asked her: "And dear miss Saffron? Where to shall we go now? There are plenty of stars in the sky."

Saffron put her hands on her hips and pretended to be pouting at hearing Mercators first coment.
"I won't slow ya' down! I may have had a ruff strart, but I'm strong I swear!" she said and laughed, she could tell he was jokeing, at least a small bit.
Saffron was however; very happy when Mercator agreed to let her follow. She smiled happily at him, although she was more excited than she would show. It had been a while since she felt like she had a friend.
Saffron shrugged when he asked where they should go, she had expored a bit of this town before, but whos knows what she had missed.
"I don't really know where we should go, but before we leave I want to do somthing, excuse me." She said and walked into the bathroom. her objective, simply to try and clean up her bangs. For some reason, haveing them red really, really bugged her. probabply since she had had them in her face so long, with her light blond color, so haveing the red was a bright distraction.
After spending a few minutes, with bearly anychange she walked back out and said. "Well I give up" she said an laughed. "Now shall we get going?" She said with a smile.
Mercator saw her return from the bathroom and saw that not much had changed. He just laughed softly and playfully as he answered her: "Travelling is a practical endeavour, not a fashionable one." Mercator then stood right and walked to the window in her room. Finding the nob and opened it up. Letting the cool air blow inside. It made his rebellious brown hair dangle.
Adressing her again, Mercator spoke as he stood proud and tall. His both hands resting on top of his walking cane that he held in front of him. While staring down with his envigorating eyes. "Well then little miss Saffron. Since you don't know where to go, then anyplace would be fine right? How about a place with lots of sun, sea and sand? The ideal place for you to recover. Well we'll even turn it into a holiday."

Saffron laughed at Mercator says she was being fashionable. "Well acctually, I could careless about fashion. My Yellow eye is extreme sentetive to color, so the blood in my hair is very, very distracting." she said and tried to clear her bangs from that eye.
As Mercator was talking about where he was planing on going to, Saffron got really confused. "Whats sea and sand?" she asked confusedly. Being from and traveling in large towns her whole life, she never had seen, or even heard of a beach.
Mercator reacted terrible shocked. Grasping his chest with his one hand as he cowerd back. The fingers digging deep in the fabric of his trenchcoat. His eyes were wide and with tiny pupils. "Jimminies! Are you trying to give me a heart attack woman?! How can you never have been to the beach?" Pausing for a moment and catching his breath, Mercator was panting as if he had seen the devil himself.
After a while he was calmed down again, and back to his normal enthousiastic behaviour. After having drank another cup of the tea that he had brought. It had cooled down but that didn't bother him. Turning to Saffron again he spoke: "Well then, I guess you should call yourself lucky that we have met. For you are in desperate need of an eye opener, young fellow-traveller." Mercator winked playfully at her while opening his trenchcoat and browsing through the items in on of his pockets. Finaly he pulled out a rather large seashell. And handed it over to Saffron.
He spoke then with a clear sinserity and even a slightly mystical tone and said: "Alright, listen carefully, Saffron my dear. Hold this seashell against your ear. Close your eyes and listen carefully. Then you should be able to hear the sea. How the tide rolls in and the surf breaks upon the shore. When you hear that, keep listening with your eyes closed untill I tell you to open them again. Alright?"

Saffron looked really suprisedly as Mercator had such a huge reaction to her question, until he spoke, She had acctually feared she was going to do just that, give the poor man a heart attack.
"It's simple.... there probably wasn't one in my.. world, so I have never heard of it, simply cause no one knew it existed." she said as she watched Mercator going through his jacket. When he handed her the large shell, instead of being curious about it... she was more curious about how many objects Mercator had in his jacket! He kept pulling out this, it made her wonder...
However, instead of asking, she listened to his instructions on what to do with this.. shell thing. She moved her hair away from her ear and placed the open end of the shell next to it and closed her eyes. "Alright, but don't like, be shady or ditch me now, I'm trusting you." she said with a slight laugh.
It was odd, she could hear, somthing, but she couldn't eally give it a great definition, an echo? no. air blowing? no. what was this sound?
Mercator just watched silently as the young girl was listening with her eyes closed to the sound coming from the shell. He felt pity for her, a world with no beach. She had been trapped for to long. The old wanderer was going to give her a freedom she couldn't dream about.
Seeing at her expression that she was starting to hear the ocean, he calmly stood up and walk till beside her. Standing on the side of her that she held the seashell on. He could tell by her expression that she was unsure what she was hearing. Not recognising this sound so unique and typical.
Quietly, without a word, he lifted up his cane brought the top near to the seashell. As the cane got closer, the seashell started to glow a golden glow. With her eyes closed, Saffron wouldn't notice. She wouldn't notice a thing that would happen. Gently touching the seashell now with his cane. The glowing shell erupted in a whirlwind of magical energy and both Mercator as Saffron suddenly got sucked up by the seashell. Through the opening that she was listening to. Inmediatly after that, the seashell also dissapeared into thin air. Leaving an empty hospital chamber behind.
