In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

"Closed? The manager should at least notify me when this happens"
It was a working day, yet the café was closed due unknown reasons. Whatever the manager had to do, he could at least notify the rest of the staff, because other than Saga, there were another 2 waitress in front of the café, the cashier and one of the chefs. They were talking each other about what was going on and the only sure thing was that there was a note mentioning that due unseen circumstances, the café would be temporally closed for some time.
"And I wanted cocoa bunny to see me working here"
She was disappointed for three reasons: One, because they waitress work in the café was her main income source. Two, because she often used the work there to check the new people who arrived to the town and often had their first meal in the café. And three, because she wanted to show cocoa bunny the wonders of being a maid/waitress.
The day was still young and cocoa bunny wasn't at sight anyway, so the only other activities she could perform in the current day were to go heartless and nobody hunting alone, try to find the progress and situation of the people she recruited for her project or simply go back to the lab and continue working in her experiments.
"This modifies my current schedule, I should use this unexpected free time to make some progress as small as it might be in my other activities"
She wandered a little the streets of the first district looking for her followers before heading home, but before she could open the door, she sensed a familiar smell, one that was the one found in the small white freaks but even more similar to the smell of that enigmatic nobody who called himself Marluxia.
"No little imperfect white freaks around here, maybe one human shaped?"
She looked around the proximities of her house and focused in finding whatever creature was emanating the scent of nothingness.
The nobody wasn't used to hanging around this part of the district, but something about today was..well..different. As he walked through the streets he suddenly felt a strong tug in his chest. It was quite painfull, and irritating. '' Whats this now?'' Caxnon asked himself.
It didn't take him long to find the source of the tug, it was a small house and it seemed to contain may things.
'' I'm not used to doing this...but'' Caxnon didn't even finish the sentence, he froze the handle of the door broke it of then pushed it open. Then he began walking down the stairs.
"There's nothing around here, from where that smell came?"
Unable to find the source of the scent of nothingness, she was thought about returning to her house and try again later, after all that thing couldn't go too far and be easily killed if it were one who mimicked humans.
It was only then when she realized that the handle of the that she realized something infiltrated in her house, and that thing was the one who smelled like voidness!
Following the scent of the messenger of the void, she carefully walked into the basement making sure no sound was made as she advanced and as soon she found the invader, she surprise attacked him in the head with enough strength to knock him out using a wrench and tied him with a rope that she usually used to restrain heartless and other freaks.
Just to make sure the intruder couldn't pull a fast one when he woke up, she also restrained him in one of those "beds" where she restrained black defects to apply some volts on them, if he were to try something, he would get enough volts to fry his brain a little.
Once the intruder woke up, she decided to make a few questions.
"Well, well, looks like I got lucky and captured an advanced type white incomplete defect. I'm going to do wicked things to you if you are as pathetic and stupid as the green haired human type black defect ... but maybe you have intelligence like Marluxia and your species tend to think before acting, although it was very unwise of your part to try to break into my house. Tell me something interesting and maybe I'll reconsider the idea of not using you as guinea pig for my experiments"
Caxnon didn't really understand what happened. One minute he was standing in a dar room, the next he was tied to a bed with ropes and strange equipment over him. He examined the room he was in as the woman spoke, it seemed too contain a few...things..that looked out of place.
The nobody made eye contact with Saga before speaking.
'' Piece of advice, next time you want to stop someone from entering your home...try adding some defenses. I would use chains instead of ropes, and I'm not sure what a person like you is doing wearing such a horrid hat.'' Caxnon said.
He sighed '' Other than that though...I have to admit I'm quite impressed. You seem quite intelligent on your part, and you seemed to have done your homework....isn't that right?........Saga Matsuda'' Caxnon added.
"I'm known in the underworld of the incomplete ones? Such a surprise can only mean that either I attracted the attention of more or you are a curious little defect"
She wasn't really impressed by the words of the empty being, after all she already shared that info with Marluxia. However, she could still obtain important information from this prisoner and once he outlived his usefulness ... she would have her fun with the man of nothing.
"I shall give you the advantage of not consider you a guinea pig immediately. As far as my experience dictates, your species aren't actively attempting to harm humanity, so unless you give me a reason to use you as experiment fodder, I might let you live "
Toying with the idea of messing up the existence of the nobody, she picked out of a restraining device a worn our shadow heartless who had better days in the past, holding it with one hand and carrying in the other hand the crystal container with a pure heart inside.
"Or maybe I should simply go ahead and try to combine you with an heartless or this little heart here. I know that your species and the black defects are both halves of a human. Who knows? maybe you aren't going to vanish like in my previous attempt"
Previously she tried to merge a heartless with the dusk nobody Marluxia offered to her, but both components proved to be incompatible and were destroyed. The nobody probably simply ceased to exist and the heartless oddly enough released a pure heart to return wherever hearts go after being purified, although she failed to capture it unlike her previous successfully captured heart.
'' Not many know of your existence I assure you..but considering your reaction...I can say that this wasn't the first time you encountered nobodies of my type'' Caxnon said.
The only other way Saga could have encountered a humanoid nobody is probably by meeting an Organization member, because the last time he checked...aside from the Organization...very few nobodies were left.
He turned his attention towards the heart that Saga had contained. Once again he felt that irritating tug in his chest, as if something was trying to rip his chest apart.
'' Where did you get that?'' Caxnon asked while looking directly at the Jar.
"This? It's a heart I got from a little black defect that was target of my experiments. After squirming for some time, it eventually fade out without taking the heart with it and I managed to catch said heart."
Finding interesting the attraction the nobody felt for the heart she captured, she put back into the experimentation device the little shadow and got closer to the incomplete being of nothingness just to see if there was any further reaction between heart and nature freak.
"I wonder I wonder, Could this be yours?"
Of course, compatibility! The only reason her previous experiment to fuse a nobody with a heartless failed was because both of them were halves of different people. If her theory of compatibility were confirmed by this intruder, she would obtain important information that would serve a lot to her research.
Caxnon focused hard on the heart in the containment. He was sure that he had a connection to it, but he didn't want to give Saga her satisfaction. Maybe it was his..so what? It was impossible to return a nobody to it's original sate, and even if once could..he wouldn't want it. He wasn't anyone else's body...he was himself.
Caxnon simply remained silent trying his best to ignore the growing irritation in his chest. He hoped that Saga wouldn't notice..but his eyes were a give away. The closer the jar got to him, the more his eyes lit up.
The uneasiness of the nothing-man was very notable. The rumors said that nobodies lacked the ability to feel emotions, yet this one was showing an expression of strange, almost hypnotic attraction towards the heart inside the container.
"I propose a little deal for you. Work for me and I'll release you. If you refuse I'll have my way with you and perform experiments with your body until either I manage to make of you a human or destroy you trying it."
The nobody was short of options and if he treasured his life, he would better decide to ally with the knowledge hungry scientist. If he were to make of her an enemy and attempted to escape by force, odds were that he would return to the lab later, and this time without a chance to escape.
Caxnon thought about what Saga was offering him. There wasn't much of a choice. He didn't want to work for Saga. He had bad experiences with working for other people, and he didn't think Saga would be any different. There wasn't much he could though...or was there?
'' You always do what you have to do and I respect that....So go ahead...no one will miss me'' Caxnon said
Stuff like heartless and nobody sounded more like illogical things that came out of a fairy tales book where magic and other nonsense prevailed, but trying to use some good old scientific approach on this insane situation couldn't make things worse.
She wore on her usual bunny maid attires a white labcoat to avoid getting dirty her clothes and also covered her hands with sterilized gloves, finally she brought near the restrained nobody a small table with several surgical tools and the "heart" on it. It was obvious what was going to happen.
"It might only hurt a little, but the pain will fade away once you are either destroyed or become .. somebody"
A "thing" like the white haired freak couldn't be considered human after he accepted his fate as guinea pig, so without caring any more for the monster of nothingness, she ripped his chest clothes and not even bothering to use anesthesia, she used her surgery tools to open an hole in the thoracic cavity of the man-nothing, looking for the place where a physical heart should be.
"Lungs, esophagus ... there´s the heart! ... you incomplete white freaks are very good imitating humans, I can see at simple sight that those organs are just non functional imitations, you even have blood that according to my research, doesn't have the same properties of a real living being's blood.."
She didn't care if the "thing" felt pain or not for everything on him was just an imitation. After finding the imitation physical heart in it's body, she proceed to pick the heart she found some time ago and placed it right above the open cavity of the nobody, still with his fake organs exposed to the open air.
"This is a very intrusive method, but I believe it might work better than simply smashing nobody and heartless together and force them to combine with electricity to stimulate their atoms"
Once said that, she pushed the heart inside the fake heart of the nobody, who remained completely conscious and aware of his surroundings the entire duration of the painful experiment. If he rejected the heart, were destroyed or become a complete human being was something only time would tell, but until then, Saga simply watched both the nothing and the heart struggle as a blinding light engulfed them.
Not only did she cut Caxnon's chest open., and ruin a shirt that was almost impossible to find elsewhere, but she forcefully implanted the heart inside him. For a few minutes nothing happened just that strange bright light. In fact he noticed that he was simply standing in an empty field...it looked like a battleground.
As he started walking he was suddenly grabbed sharply from behind, and was being chocked by what looked like a very angry looking black, spikey haired young man.
'' You insignificant creature...give me....my...BODY!!!!'' the man carried sharply and hurled Caxnon to the ground.
The nobody stood up to face his former self....hoping that this would help. ''' You want it?.....Come take it''' he said as he drew his gunblade.
Without further hesitation the two entered a weapon lock, and each were using all their power to destroy the other......
Meanwhile outside the mental plane Caxnon laid completely still..after intense screaming of course...every now and then his hair would shift from black to blonde again.
"The subject writhed in agony for some minutes before remaining immobile, randomly changing it's hair color and seems to be struggling with the change"
Like any good mad scientist, Saga was checking the progress of the subject and writing in her notepad about every single thing that happened to her guinea pig. With luck it wouldn't die and instead become something new, but if the process failed ... well, she was going to retrieve a new nobody someday.
"I wonder what kind of thoughts you have inside your little head, I only I had the equipment needed to check the status of your brainwaves I could get even more from this experience."
It was already hard enough to get decent equipment in the underdeveloped world of Traverse Town, let alone find complex and high quality equipment that only the rich could afford. Sure, she could steal the one inside the hospital, but even she had knew that stealing from other humans was bad and it's a shortcut that wouldn't make justice to the hard work she did until now.
With nothing else to do, she continued analyzing the status of the man of nothingness, expecting good results this time.
The nobody continued to push the being from the past backwards. There was no reason why he should let him win. After a while they both jumped back, then they made eye contact. Why would he risk losing himself to this....person that died anyway?
'' There's no reason for you to keep on fighting, you lack the strength to do so. You know it as well, you can't protect those that matter the most. We've both made mistakes...let's try and fix them.''' Said his human self.
Despite the fact that his heart was exerting feelings of rage, he could see that those emotions slipped away. Caxnon remained silent..still looking at the man and still gripping his weapon.
'' We can't stay here forever....If you..If we keep on fighting...you'll disappear....and I know that it's what you most fear..going back to nothingness.'' the person added.
Caxnon took a look around his mind that was completely laying in conflict. '' I suppose that your right I can't beat you here..or at least not now....I only have one request....get me out of.....her house'' Caxnon said.
With that he took one last look at his weapon and the faces of his only friends washed over them. '' Your turn...'' he said as he tossed the gunblade towards Cannon.
With out further hesitation the human male caught it..and instantly the dark area brightened....but was soon covered with heavy rain.....
outside the realm the light soon ceased...and the wound closed..leaving only small scar there. There in Caxnon's place laid a young man with spikey hair...who appeared to be sleeping.
"A Nobody with a Heart?" The voice rang clearly through the night sky, silky and light. Black hair flowed slightly, only slightly revealing one metal iris. His black jacket flowed over a gray shirt, baggy jeans, and black sneakers. Ienzo leaned against the wall a few yards away. He gave a small laugh, smiling brightly. "Well now, this is interesting."
He examined Saga, the strange experimenter, and sighed. "I don't know if I've met you before, but your actions, experimenting with the lesser Heartless, automatically makes you a target for the Dark XII. Perhaps you should keep your research silent if you wish to live longer." He crossed his arms, his eyes luminous in the low moonlight.
