In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Well I have a lot of favourites but Elekid is my number one, as well as Electivire, my favourite legendaries are Suicune, Celebi, Mew, Lugia, Dialga, and Kyogre.
My fave region is Johto and Sinnoh, fave games are Yellow, SoulSilver and Platinum.
lol. hands down, my favorite pokemon is Sceptile/Gardevoir. yes, I have two #1 favorites. I just love them both. Now, some would argue that Sceptile sucks because it looks so clumsy compared to Grovyle and Treecko, but I don't care. It's still a fantastic pokemon.
and Gardevoir just speaks for itslef. It's awesome as well. lol.
Anyway, outside of that, my favorite region is definitely Hoenn. Idunno why, but I just took a bigger likign to it than I did any of the others.
And my favorite games are SoulSilver and Platinum.
also, I don't see why people hate Sinnoh so much. Sure, some of the pokemon designs are kind of wonky, but......they're not that bad. O.o especially the starters. I love Torterra, and Empoleon is anything but ugly.
Of course, in the case of torterra, I'm slightly biased since I am a tutle lover. .-.

Tyranitar = Bagirasu in Japanese. Name derived from the 1955 Classic, and Guiness World Record holder for most sequels as well as being his own category of foreign films...
scepptile with charzard in close second i trained both 2 lvl 100 favelegendary is rayquaza and 2nd is raikou or articuno favregion is hoenn or kanto(definatly hoenn) fav move eva is leaf blade sceptiles speed attack and decent sp def is just too much for any pokemon to bear except charzard ho oh articuno and moltres
I have several different favourite Pokémon, the main one being Houndoom. However, I've also taken a great affinity to just about all the Ghost-Types that are in the franchise thus far after getting to exploit and use them in battle for character development -- I'm personally more into using the Gastly line in battle as well as either Misdreavus or Mismagius. >___> I also have a great liking to Fire-Type Pokémon; Charizard, Rapidash, Flareon, Ninetales and Typhlosion being the main ones.
S'far as legendary Pokémon go, I would have to be saying any one of the Johto Legends, as all of them have different and interesting things that they're based off of in mythology. If I was going to have to play favourites, I would go with both Entei and Houou, no questions asked.
For obvious reasons that my friends would know of, Johto is my favourite region. I also rather enjoy Sinnoh, as I have become rather attached to the city, Jubilife. *shrugs* However, all regions all have their own unique characteristics about them that everyone is going to be taking to. Makes me wonder if anyone is ever going to mention Orre, Fiore or Almia.
Wrapping up with favourite games, I liked both Gold and Crystal. Back when we actually had Crys and not a crappy redesign of Morty -- or a stand in, unneeded character by the name of Lyra. I personally do not see the need or want of a replacement for Crystal, as there was nothing wrong with her. >___>;

Im not gonna fill all of this in.
Favourite evolution chain is the abra chain, allways loved it, dont know why. I also quite like the ghastly chain. My favourite type of pokemon being a mixture of Dark, Phychic and Ghost.
All the reigons are good, although I enjoyed the origiginal games the most so probably the kanto.
Original games my favourite, probably yellow just because it was fun. Leaf green was quite fun to play.
Sceptile is also awesome, he's one of my favourite starters.
The types I like are mainly Dragon, Salamence being the my top fave out of that type but I also favour Steel types, such as Metagross, Skarmory and a few others.
I also like Electric types as stated earlier that the Elekid chain is my top fave, Flying types are also cool Staraptor being my favourite.

Tyranitar = Bagirasu in Japanese. Name derived from the 1955 Classic, and Guiness World Record holder for most sequels as well as being his own category of foreign films...
Gojira.
Epic win.
In light of the development that Tyranitar was based off of Godzilla, I'm inclined to concede defeat. You win; Tyranitar is, objectively, the greatest Pokemon.
However, as long as everyone is answering the other questions, as well...
My favorite Legendary Pokemon is, after all these years, probably still Mewtwo. Well, if you'd count him as a Legendary Pokemon (if not, then my favorite would have to be Arceus). There's just something inherently badass about the guy. Here you have a genetic abomination who stood pretty much unopposed as the most powerful, single force in Pokemon for three Generations. Come on, you KNOW your little heart was racing the first time you encountered this Level 70 Titan in Cerulean Cave.
Favorite region? Sinnoh, I'd have to say. Yeah, the Pokemon designs are remarkably weird at times, but the region itself is a pretty diverse place with a lot to do. Plus, I really liked that the region's myths were so integral to its culture. It helped build up to the climax with Team Galactic...Speaking of which, I feel it's worth mentioning that the evil team for this region was trying to harness a fourth-dimensional cosmic force of nature to throw the world into a Lovecraftian state of total stagnation.
My favorite games are Heart Gold/Soul Silver, by simple virtue of there being so much to do in them. Huge number of Pokemon to catch, plenty of Legendaries available, two regions to explore, sixteen Gyms, metric assload of side quests....Pretty much just Gold/Silver/Crystal on steroids, and with a not-so-watered-down Kanto. In essence, the Ultimate Pokemon Experience.

So I wasn't the only one that came back with thought of Mythos by the resolution of that plot...

Go go Godzilla Fans!
Word up, dawg. Represent.
So I wasn't the only one that came back with thought of Mythos by the resolution of that plot...
Yeah, there were certain differences between Cyrus's plan and Lovecraft's works as a whole, but I immediately thought of the Mythos when he explained the whole idea of a world of stagnation. Dialga and Palkia don't really seem like Eldritch Abominations to me- they're not quite alien enough and don't exactly seem apathetic toward humanity like the beasties in the Mythos typically are. However, the idea of a world where time and space stand perfectly still, leaving "life" to go on in a cruel, twisted mockery of its former self definitely seems like a Lovecraftian concept to me.

Oh, they were apathetic enough. But you're right about the eldritch bit. However, when you through Arceus into the mix, the thought of Mythos become more pronounced, especially if you read deep into the elder god myths as well as the outer gos and great old ones. Then you throw in Giratina and it's distortion world arch from Platinum.... That was the Dream Cycle. Or at least, that's how it seemed to me.

Well, I seem to remember Rowan saying something about Palkia/Dialga wanting to battle you or something like that. That's where I got the whole "not-so-apathetic" thing from, but now that I think about it, you could definitely make the argument that they didn't really care about humanity either way. There are two main differences that I saw between the Sinnoh Legendaries and the Cthulhu Mythos...things. First off, they weren't really all that alien in their designs. It's like the difference between Godzilla and Azathoth. Godzilla is a giant monster- ridiculously cool/intimidating yet recognizable, whereas Azathoth doesn't even bear enough similarity to a three-dimensional creature that it could be described as a monster. Second, the creatures in the Cthulhu Mythos aren't really "gods" at all, they're just ridiculously powerful THINGS that happen to be as old as, almost as old as, or slightly older than the universe itself. Dialga/Palkia/Arceus seem more like genuine deities, complete with their own creation myth, organized religions, etc.
However, I will say that the whole "Distortion World" thing is completely, thoroughly Lovecraftian. Mainly because it messes with concepts like dimensions, space, and time, and completely turns them on their heads. The Distortion World is about as close as a Nintendo DS game could get to portraying the alien geometries of the Mythos. Arceus also sort of has an Outer God feel to him; I can't help but think that the Arceus you fight/catch is just an avatar of its true self.
