In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Shiro sighed. “It really started when I was young. My family that I know of died from something. I don’t know what it was. My memory was wiped when I was a little younger. I was given the name, Shiro, by the first person who talked to me. I didn’t know if I could trust him, but I had to. I had nothing to lose. I was told my parents died and that I was an orphan. He sold me to an adventurer who abandoned me in a weird jungle. I was found by some tourists and transferred to an orphanage here. I escaped and bought my glove. That’s basically it about my life. I’ve been alone ever since. When you were looking at the flavors, I heard a small sound. I can’t describe it, but I know that I have heard it when my father died. I have been regaining my memories very slowly since I escaped. Someday, I hope I will have my memory back.” he explained with his calm tone.
“Being alone is hard. I hate it when I see people who have everything wish that they were just like me. People like me, we’re like heartless. When we die, no one will miss us. No one will remember us. It’s hard for us to make friendships or anything like that with people, because if someone I care about dies…” he stopped his sentence. He never even bothered to touch his ice cream. Even for a person who has no memories, it’s hard for him to think back.
“I couldn’t imagine how it would be a second time. Even though I can’t remember, I can still feel the pain. I guess we just have lack of faith…” he finished with his usual calm tone. Shiro turned his head to V. “That’s why I tried to help that man. I didn’t want anyone close to him to get hurt like I did when I found out my parents were dead. I don’t even know if I had siblings or not.” he turned his head back to his ice cream and licked it.
V looked down sadly, so Shiro had lost his memory as well. She looked up at him and nodded, "I understand..." A tear slipped from her eye.
She wiped the tear away, "your right...it is hard when you have no memories. Everything seems cold, you don't know what to do. You try to search the very heart of your soul and hope that one day that it will come rushing back....but it doesn't...."
She got up from the bench, "it's all true..." she was silent for a bit she looked down at the ground, "but..." she said solemnly
"you are wrong about one thing..." she looked up and faced him, her eyes with tears her lips curved in a smile. "Your not alone."
She took his hand, "if you had died shiro... I would've missed you."
Shiro wished he could show tears. He would’ve if he could’ve. He looked at V’s face. She had tears in her eyes. Someone, out of his whole life, actually would miss him. Shiro let out a smile. Out of everyone he has met in his life, he has trusted no one, but now… He trusted V more than ever. “It is hard to be alone. It makes me very happy to know that someone actually likes me.” He felt a strange feeling inside his head. It was a feeling that he had never felt before. His brain felt like it was going to burst. He couldn’t speak with his brain. Someone would actually miss him. He had to finally let his heart do the talking.
“Don’t cry, V. Even with all the suffering we go through, we, and I mean everyone, must try their hardest to stick with the light. It’s easy to journey into the darkness, especially if life has treated you so horrible. You must think about the good things in life, even if they are few. I am probably the one with the least happy things in my life, I have none. Now, I do have one. It’s you. Everything good I feel right now… It all revolves around you…” he replied. He has been alone all his life, and now he wasn’t. After his explanation, with all the misery that entered his head… It was all gone now. Shiro didn’t know what to say, he didn’t know what to do. He didn’t know even what to call the feeling he had. He just looked into her eyes. He had never let anyone enter his life before, and now he did.
She didn't know what it was, but for some reason as Shiro spoke she felt a slight tingle in her head. He was actually letting her in his life! V felt so overjoyed, she smiled pleasantly while wiping the tears from her face.
As she looked up at him, she wasn't sure what to say. But that was alright, because the look in her eye was all the message Shiro needed. Shiro was a great guy, he didn't deserve to be alone. She gripped his hand a little bit, then laughing she gave him another hug.
When she let go she poked him on his nose, "alright...then for now on, we'll both work hard on sticking with the light. And no matter what if one of us has any doubts, we can just remember eachother and the good times we've had. Sound like a deal?"
Shiro enjoyed every second of the hug. What he had said was new for him. He has never let his heart do the talking instead of his brain. Shiro kept trying to think of the name of the feeling he has just had. It was so hard for his brain. He heard about the feeling, he thought it wasn't true. Those were the only hints he had. He just couldn't put a name on it. "I guess it's because I never felt it before..." he thought.
When she let go she poked him on his nose, "Alright...then for now on, we'll both work hard on sticking with the light. And no matter what if one of us has any doubts, we can just remember each other and the good times we've had. Sound like a deal?"
"I would remember it, even if there wasn't a deal. So deal 100 percent. No regrets." he replied with a smile. Shiro felt like he wanted ice cream. He was finally happy enough to eat it. He looked at his hands. There was nothing there. He looked at the ground, there was his ice cream. He realized that he had dropped it right before the hug. He looked back up at V.
"I don't need ice cream anyways, I'm happy enough." he told her with a smile. The feeling, the name was on the tip of his toung...
V smiled, she then was about to eat her ice cream when she realized...she had dropped hers too.
She laughed, "oh well...There's always next time."
She let go of his hand, and sitting back on the bench she looked at him happily. She didn't know why, but for now all she could was smile. There was silence, then for no reason V poked him again, and acting like a child playing a game of tag; she moved over to the end of the bench so that he couldn't poke her back.
She laughed, and putting her hands in an X formation she got ready for when Shiro would try to poke her back. Little did V know that behind her a heartless was starting to appear.
Shiro loved to see V's smile. The feeling, he could almost spell it by now... It was... He felt a poke. "So close..." he thought. He turned his head to see V with her hands in an X formation on the bench. "I'll think about it later." He thought again. He had a girl to poke. Before he went for a poke, he saw something black appeared behind her.
"V!" he yelled to warn her. Shiro concentrated all his gravitic energy into the palms of his hands. He quickly aimed it at the wall behind the heartless. His memory... He remembered... The day Shiro was born. He closed his eyes.
Everything went black. Objects started to appear around him. He saw a woman on a hospital bed giving birth to a small child. He realized it was him. He quickly turned his head to see a calender. He knew this wouldn't last long. He quickly went through all the little checkmarks until he could see the date today. Everything was so life like. It was like being in a television. Right before his eyes met the number, everything went blank.
His eyes snapped open back into reality. He quickly jerked his hands back. The part of the wall that was behind the heartless came right out of the building and eliminated the heartless. "Not again..." he whispered. He finally let someone into his life and she almost was going to be attacked by a heartless. He realized something. He has seen people get attacked by heartless before, and he didn't feel anything. Why was she so different from the others to him? He just looked at V, he didn't know how she would respond.
"I'm sorry for that." he apologized. It was so weird for Shiro. Why did he act like that? He aimed his hand at a small brick that he wasn't able to life before. He raised his hand, but the brick didn't. Why did he have so much power then...
V was shocked, all she heard was Shiro yelling her name. The next thing she knew, shiro had lifted a brick from the wall and aimed it straight at a heartless, that was just beside her.
"wow..." she said amazed.
Could Shiro always do that? She turned towards him, "that was really cool Shiro!" she shouted, "I didn't know your powers were that strong."
V smiled, but then saw the look on his face, he seemed really confused. she stared at him questiongly,"hey..." she asked. Moving slightly closer to him, "what's wrong?"
"I never knew that I could do that..." he replied. "I can't do that now, but I just did it."
Shiro thought for a second. It all made sense to him now. The reason why he loved V's smile. The reason why he loved her hugs. The reason why she always made him feel good. The reason why he loved being around her. The reason why he was able to do that. He had so much power when she was in danger of being hurt. It all made sense. He knew the feeling... After not that many times of being with her, it happened so fast. It all made sense to him now. He was in love with her.
V laughed, "well that...was amazing! I guess you have more strength then you thought!"
She gave him a broad smile, something bright then hit the corner of her eye. She covered her face with her hand and looked up, dawn had broke.
V squinted her eyes, the sun's beam hurt, but seeing it coming out from the darkness... V wasn't sure how to describe it but "beautiful."
She looked at Shiro, she had a really good time with him. But sadly soon enough she would have to leave this world, this made V sad. She looked down at the grown her smile turned to a frown.
V yawned then, she dead tired. After going through much excitment today, it was finally taking it's toll on her.
She steadily started to close her eye's, at first V fought it hoping to win somehow; but soon after she gave in and fell into a deep slumber. Her body fell to the side, her head landing in Shiro's lap.
After Shiro realized his true feeling, he decided to keep it quiet. Why possibably ruin a wonderful day? Plus, their whole friendship would turn akward if she didn't feel the same way. He smiled at the sight of dawn, it was even better in the third district. He guessed it was because of all the darkness in the streets.
He turned his head to see a sad V. He knew, because she didn't have a smile on her face. "Whats wrong?" he asked in confusion.
Sadly, she didn't reply. She yawned, then she fell asleep. Her whole body fell to the side, her head landed on his lap. It was peaceful. He felt like himself again, his calm personality was there again. Shiro enjoyed every minute of dawn. He knew that wouldn't last. He realized it was a bad choice to eat ice cream in the Third District. He hoped and prayed in his mind that no heartless would show up for a while. Atleast until after dawn.
As V slept, the eyepatch strange enough moved on it's own accord. It switched to the other side of her face, showing a dark red eye. At first it seemed like she was dead, but as soon as a large burst of energy shot from within her body the eye came alive the whites coming back to it.
V's body then got up from the bench, except it wasn't V now...it was Shira.
"Such a fool..." she said harshly, shaking her head. "A sympathetic fool..."
Shiro knew peace wouldn't last. When he saw V's other eye, he knew it wasn't her.
"I asume you are called Shira." he replied with his calm tone. He didn't know who was the sympathetic fool. Was she talking about him or V... He asumed that she was talking about V. He was pretty sure that they didn't have the ability to read minds. He guessed that Shira was like the opposite of V. He knew that he should never asume, so he was going to act like his usual self. "I am Shiro, I do not believe that I go by the name of "fool", if you are talking about me. I won't ask you anything, don't worry. I'll simply leave if you wish."
He wasn't going to waste his time with this girl if she was going to be rude. He would rather wait until V is back.
Shira smirked, "Your both fools in my book... But I was addresing V this time."
She turned towards Shiro, her face seemed more serious compared to V's; everything was different. Her stance, facial expression, what was once a warm and bright smile...was now a cold frown.
Shira saw the fierce look in Shiro's eye's and sighed, "No need to get defensive." she annoyingly, "I'm only taking over until V wakes up, then you and her can get back to your peathetic conversations."
She sat back on the bench, "seriously..." she murmured, "why she associates with you weaklings is beyond me..."
All Shiro could do was just smile. "You can make fun of me all you want. Unlike others, I don't have a temper when not in battle. So I can see that you are nothing like V. So I am considered a fool in your book? I bet you have a big book then. The question is, who isn't in your book. You, I asume. No one else, correct? Have you ever had a real talk with us so called "weaklings"? Plus, if you think I am weak just because of our earlier situation, that is a false statement. I had no weapon and an injured leg. Have you ever wondered what happens when V is awake? Have you seen the things she had did? I would congratulate her if was you."
"She preformed an excellent thundra. Most important subject, have you ever wondered what it would be like to lose against us "weaklings"... How many fights have you been in Shira, the ones when you fight with others just like you? I may not know much about having two personalities, but I do know what its like to be alone, Shira. Its hard. You try to act like you are better than others. When really its just a way to cover up the loneliness. I could be completely wrong, Shira. I don't know what its like to be you. You have the same memories as V, correct. Well when you are awake, you should see them. See what she has done. See how powerful she really is." Shiro replied. He took the subjects one by one. He didn't know what Shira would do right now. So he was ready to take out his new sword, if she attacked.
