In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Dilan watched as the trees began to rot and the life on the world began to crumble. “You know that this world is past the point of no return” he watched in the distance as mountains began to simply disappear, only darkness remaining in their wake.
“And what makes you think that you can even escape now?” Dilan asked with a satisfied smirk as the trees around them fell to the floor and the animals fled hoping to escape. “I spread the darkness that is the nature of heartless. You can call me petty names but if you think that I am being weak, I would like to see you create such chaos.”
“It looks as if time for this place is almost over” The crumbling backgrounds began as the world began to fall in on itself in some places. The area of the pond where they stood, the strongest part, began to crack. “So map maker, if you have the locations to the hearts, why don’t you hand me those maps so that I can show you how powerful I am.”
His hands spread to either side, with a air splitting sound harpoons appeared from no were to each hand, several more joined floating on the air currents around Dilan, in total there was 6. “You can call me weak and meagre, and you’re correct that killing you wouldn’t prove anything. I’m quite inclined to leave you here once I’m done and let the darkness deal with you, who knows, you might even get away” he said with a smirk.
Within a flash he had pressed air behind his feet and propelled himself around the grassland, ending up just inches from the map makers left. “The thing that I do want to know however” he said as one of his harpoons slammed into the ground to Mercator’s right. “How do you know so much about the world that never was?”
Mercator blinked and recoiled a bit as he was startled by the harpoon being slammed in the ground next to him. Still after the initial surprise, he regained his composure and return to his normal decent posture. These agents of darkness were all the same. Always trying to use intimidation and displays of power to weaken their adversaries morale. A strong symptom of overcompensation.
Mercator remained silent as he stood there. Staring at the heart that was losing to the corruption of darkness. Not showing any sign of answering or feeling the need to leave this place while he still could. Like if he wanted to see it out till the end. Finally he said sharply:" Looks like I do hold some leverage over you. Surrender the heart and I'll tell you how I know about the world that never was. And about the castles that reside there, along with their secrets. "
The ground around them started to crack up, as small avalanches of rocks were pouring down into the cracked pond. Mercator turned to a pile of boulders to his right and prodded it with the tip of his cane. The rocks came loose and started to roll down into the pond. Surprisingly, the rocks rolled out and formed a walkway in the water. A path leading right up to the worlds heart.
Mercator hopped agile on this rocky road and stepped on them with the grip and balance of a mountain goat. Skipping slowly from stone to stone while continuing addressing Dilan.
"I've seen worlds in far worse shape then this. But claiming hearts, destroying worlds and bringing about chaos isn't a sign of power but of greed. You did not fall for my taunting which proves you have some intelligence. Meaning you should understand logic."
Mercator skipped till right in front of the crystalline heart and halted. Turning around so that his back was toward it now, and facing Dilan again. With serious eyes the Cartographer looked at him. Gone was his playful smile. Coldly he finished by saying: "You and I both know that this is not what darkness wants."
