Wakka is a young man of strong build, 5’8” tall. He has bright orange hair which is drawn up and back into a tall curve at the front. Just below this he wears a blue cloth headband. He wears two wristbands, one blue, one black and he has a white singlet with black line edges. His yellow ¾ pants have an X-shaped strap over each knee.
Personality:
A boisterous, energetic youth with a friendly and easy-going attitude. Wakka would make a strong leader for his sense of just and commanding attitude, but he also makes a great right hand man, partner or teammate. He is decisive and confident, making him very suitable to battle, but his preference of range over melee keeps him at distance in battle. Though this may seem cowardly, Wakka is courageous, he would enter any fight and battle it to the end if there was reason to do so. His sporting streak makes him very competitive, combined with his strategic mind and coordination, Wakka makes for a very tough opponent.
Story:
Wakka was born and raised on Destiny Islands with his friends Tidus, Selphie, Riku, Sora and Kairi. Together they explored and uncovered possibly all the secrets hidden in the tropical paradise and lived with all they could ever wish for. A competitive rivalry began between Sora and Riku which saw them creating wooden swords to fight with, making races across the island as well as any other competition they found reasonable. Outgoing as he is, Wakka grabbed the opportunity to join in the action, picking up a blitzball as his weapon. Soon enough, Selphie was wielding a rope, Tidus a post and duels were held between the children. Only Kairi avoided the fighting, prefering to organize and spectate some of the battles. They were happy in this paradise but they dreamed, wondered of worlds outside their own islands. One day, Sora, Riku and Kairi decided to build a raft and were going to sail away to find the other worlds, but fate had a different path. The night before their departure, a storm ravaged the island and Riku and Kairi went to the beach to see to the safety of the raft in the storm. Sora went as soon as he realized, but was later than Kairi and Riku. Though after Sora, not noticed by anyone else was Wakka. When he got there, strange things were happening everywhere! Small and strange black creatures crawled around with glowing yellow eyes and patches of darkness were appearing everywhere. Wakka’s senses were all telling him that all this darkness was not good. Now scared but swayed with curiosity, he moved about the beach, examining the strange phenomena. Kairi was nowhere to be found but Wakka saw Sora and Riku on the small island across the bridge. He started towards them but before he could get there a patch of darkness grew under his feet and before he could move he was clutched by tendrils of black and engulfed in total darkness. Now, some time later, he awakens in a strange world... older, taller and with his blitzball by his side...
RP sample:
This was what Wakka had been doing for years now, tuning his coordination to be a master in accuracy. He felt the weight of the blitzball in his hand, he felt the light wind which would alter the course of the ball, he lined the distance between him and the target and drew a path in his mind, which he would make the ball follow. He drew a breath, pulled his arm back, building for a powerful shot, then released.
“Hiyah!”
Thunk! The ball struck the coconut straight bang in the centre and bounced back easily to Wakka’s hands. Not only did the coconut that was hit fall from the tree, but two more as well.
“That’s amazing”, says Kairi
“Good arm, Wakka!”, shouts Sora from the hut.
“Thanks man.”
Wakka sees Riku down the beach, wooden sword in hand, “ ‘Ey! Riku, ya up for a fight?”
“…Sure, this one decides the champion!”
“Come an’ get it, ya?”
Riku charges Wakka and strikes with his wooden sword.
Wakka moves to dodge, but takes the hit lightly on the leg. He jumps back and launches the blitzball straight at Riku.
Riku hits the ball straight back.
Wakka catches the ball to his side and, keeping its speed, spins around and flings it back, with at least double the speed of the last.
The ball hits Riku straight on the chest, winding him temporarily.
“Ya! Take that!”, Wakka collects his Blitzball and allows Riku to recover.
With lightning speed, Riku launches at the waiting Wakka and takes a flying stike.
Wakka realizes his mistake and quickly takes a throw. The ball hits Riku in the face, just as his sword crashes into Wakka’s ribs.
Both fighters fall flat on their backs, breathing heavily and groaning, Wakka, clasping his side and Riku hiding his face in his hands.
“I think it’s a draw!” says Kairi
“Score’s still 2-nil to me.” Riku says with difficulty.
“Whatever, man” says Wakka and exhales deeply.
