Name: Rude
Nickname(optional): Baldy, Turk, Shinra's lap dog, Chrome Dome, Mr. Silent Treatment
Age: Alive
Gender: Male
Species: (questionably) Human
Position: "..."
Powers: Immunity to gravity, and his immunity to status is thanks to the Ribbon Turks are issued. And a crazy amount of MP.
Limits:Grand Spark: This is Rude's only limit break, for now. He basically punches at the ground, three times in a row, in rather quick succession, launching seismic blasts at opponents.
Weapon: Rude does have a standard issue Electro-Mag Rod (EMR) in his jacket, but very rarely does he use it, much less when charged with eccentricity-- mostly in situations he knows he's not going to win and would rather not have to tend to wounds later for the trouble. No, Rude is a martial artist. A heavy practitioner of Marma Atti (with a heavy mix of kick boxing thrown into the style for offensive edge). All Rude needs is his protective gloves. Other that, he's usually the materia holder of any given group (especially considering other worlds don't have materia). Sure he's not fast, but with his level of superior strength. Rude never has had the need to be. Not counting Rude's love of explosives, though. He has quite a bit on him.
Materia-- Restore (mastered), Bolt (mastered), Fire (level 2), Barrier (level 2), and All (mastered) materia junctioned with Barrier.
Picture(optional): Rude, of the TurksAppearance: Tall, dark (skinned), and bald generally sum up Rude. He's a big guy, all broad shoulders and a well toned physique expected of any martial artist. The only hair he has to speak of is his well maintained goatee. Peircings line Rude's ears, which seem more prominent all things considered-- very few people know that he also has a navel peircing-- along with a rather square build and jaw. There's a Leviathan tattoo coiled across his back that, aside from the other Turks, doesn't really see the light of day.
Like all Turks, Rude wears a dark-blue suit. Always will. The folds are neat and precise, every button in its place. He also wears a pair of opaque sunglasses, even inside, to hide his eyes (bright auburn) considering they're the most expressive part of him. Often carried back up pairs with him at all times.
Personality: Contrary to popular belief, Rude is not an overly complicated person. Nor is he really sociably inept, getting uncomfortable in settings he's not familiar with and prone to keeping his mouth tightly buttoned. For a long while, he was often equated to that of a zombie: diligent, silent, never making much fuss of anything and not really having much of an opinion. Even going so far as to avoid others entirely until joining the Turks. He does well by himself, as a naturally solitary type of individual. Even more so, to a large extent, after having it just been him and Tseng for so long. He thinks. A lot. Too himself. But really hasn't changed all too much.
Reno has shaped a lot of who Rude is now simply from having been his partner and best friend for so long-- keeping Reno alive while Reno was simply being... well, Reno. Although he's practical in battle, and in work ethics, and genuinely tries to put his all behind everything he does, attempting to follow Reno's example. But he's an awkward person outside of business settings. Hardly meets anyone's eyes, even behind signature sunglasses, and is more comfortable relegating to Reno instead. Rude doesn't exactly have a gentle disposition. Actions speak louder for him. It makes up for the things he lacks, given circumstances.
Original World: Gaia (Final Fantasy VIII)
Current Residing World: None, technically, but currently based in Traverse Town.
History/Background: Like everyone else, Rude had parents. Or, parent, rather. He was the son of a single mother, birthed in Costa del Sol. He was born an autistic child, making it difficult for him to honestly understand many things, developing his taciturn nature. Brought to Midgar to see a doctor to help treat the symptoms, hence the sunglasses to help hide the fact that he can't stand eye contact, and ended up staying for good. From there, Rude has little concentrated memory. Just that he moved on with life, regardless of whether he understood anything or not, which worked for living in the slums. His career began when Rude found himself, the new bouncer of Honey Bee Inn, one day nearly breaking a red-headed punk in half for flirting with one of the girls. Veld signed him up, and that was that. Reno ended up being his partner.
There were a lot of key points in Rude's career and life. An severely impacting point, in which Veld, the head of the Turks before Tseng took over, was in charge and AVALANCHE was a lot more trouble. Of course, this was before Veld ended up discovering Elfe, AVALANCHE leader was something special, defected with her, and was never heard from again. All that was left of the Turks, then, after that incident, was himself, his partner and Tseng. However, as impacting as it was, Rude doesn't hold onto those. Rather, he holds onto the memory of Chelsea-- a woman who had an odd infatuation with him and he'd grown to love. She turned out to be an AVALANCHE spy, and left Rude because they were at different ends of the spectrum (one pro-Shinra, and the other not so much). It didn't sit well with him, and he grew perhaps more quiet than he ever was.
There was a long reprise after that, save for the incidents that caused the rather unfortunate loss of practically the whole SOLDIER First Class. Rude didn't have too much involvement in this, save what the President and Tseng ordered. Which generally involved keeping tabs on Cessnei while
she kept tabs on Zack Fair. A lot of investigating Genesis and Angeal. And to say that it ended badly is a bit of an understatement; once reports about Nibelheim burning down reached Midgar, Darkness invaded.
After the world was done ending, Rude found himself alone for a long while-- and rather fortunately, Tseng attempted to call everyone via PHS (neat contraptions, those, run by mostly mako), and Rude answered. The bad part, Reno usually never has his, and was... well... missing. After being asked for a location, unable to honestly say where he was, could only provide a description of the place. Trees. Lots of trees. And very confused as to how he survived all of it. Order to stay put, that's exactly what Rude did. Sat on a rock. For a very long time. Until Tseng managed to find him; rather lucky that they happened on the same world, whatever it was. And usually where Rude is, there's Reno. Nope. No one else. Just one very confused Turk. Getting
off that world took a couple of years and was a surprising stroke of luck.
The next eight years could best be summarized as running around in circles. Rude, with his odd sixth sense at just
knowing where the other Turks are, and Tseng, with just his innate sense of direction, got themselves very, very lost. Although they did a fair amount of odd jobs (assassinations, mercenary work, some smuggling on the side) for cash, sticking around worlds every so often. Generally getting used to each other. And to some extent, they did.
For now, it's just a wild goose chase.
