In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Now if only I could remember what I posted last time... I liked that post... >.< But We can still be in Radiant Garden. So without further ado, here we go.
Finding his way to a completely new world, Dash looked around through the black mask that covered his eyes. There were things here that made him incredibly curious, though most of all was these odd white columns. He couldnt figure out what they did, but when he tried to touch one of them, his hand went right through it. "Whoa! Cool!" Dash said as he continued trying to touch it, only to watch his hand go right through the column of data.
After awhile though, that got boring, and he remembered the task at hand, finding his family. So he would continue forward, zipping through the marketplace with his red 'super' suit on. He would stop at every shop and look at all the cool and different items that each one had to offer. He was also given some weird looks because of what he was wearing. But Dash didnt care. He would continue running around, looking at all the different shops. It was certainly amazing how different this one world was to his home world.
Soon, the shops got boring, and he was tired of people giving him such weird looks as they tried to catch him, though he did enjoy dodging them with his speed and reflexes. But he wanted to explore what else the world had to offer. So he made his way to the Bourough, but not without getting a bit of Sea-Salt Ice Cream. Tasting the salty sweet ice cream, Dash was amazed at the blend of flavors. He hadnt tasted anything like it, and it was way better then leftover night at his house. But he had more to see, so he continued exploring.
As he came to the Bourough he noticed many houses and construction equipment. Peeking in through some windows, the houses all seemed empty, except for one which had some old guy in a blue hat and robe on. "Whoa! Its like a wizard from those cartoons I used to watch!" Dash said to himself, not realizing that it was an actual wizard. He then decided to continue exploring as he made his way up some stairs and into the Bailey.
While in the bailey, Dash continued to see an empty town. There seemed to not be any people, and the most he still saw were those white columns that his hand just kept going through, or in some cases, his whole body as he would zip through it, though he was soon faced with a choice. One way led to a large chasm and a dark castle, the other led to a different castle that was under some serious construction. Both seemed very curious to him and would hold all sorts of different things to see. But he needed to decide. He kept zipping back and forth, going one way a bit before turning around and going the other way a bit before repeating. He just couldnt decide.
Though one thing allowed him to decide. Some shadows started coming up from the chasm of blue rocks. "Uh oh! He said as he zipped off toward the castle that seemed to be under construction, hoping to get away from the shadow heartless. As he made his way up the reconstruction site, more heartless would appear, but Dash wouldnt notice them as he had zipped through the area, with the heartless appearing behind him. It was at this point that he was following his mom's advice which was to run as fast as he could.
As he made his way to the castle, Dash looked around. It was huge, and there was all sorts of things that he could see around that. "Cool...." Dash started to say as he then heard an echo, which led him to say it once more, though much louder as he heard the echo once again. What was fun for a second got boring once more, so Dash would continue walking around the Castle Postern, wondering what there was that he could do. "Mom.... Dad.... Violet.... Jack-Jack???" Dash would say, curiously as he would continue to look around, still wondering where his family could be.
((It's actually rather difficult for me to reply to this, and I do apologize. After much deliberation, I've made the executive decision to keep the person who wants to be in this out, which means that you get to deal with Heartless for now. I do apologize for not replying, but it took me a long time to try to think how to deal with this.))
The boy's voice echoed among stone, hollowly, almost mockingly -- the only answer coming from the twitch of curious black creatures, antennae crooked and jerking, the only color a sallow yellow glow eminating from their round, lamplike eyes. There were three initially, though as Dash continued, more rose from the floor.
In appearance, they almost seemed to have the build of a child, provided said child was equipped with oversized hands ending in sharp claws, pure black, a round, large head, and eternally twitching antennae. Even as they grew in number, one melted to run in circles towards him, a single shadow on the floor cast by nothing.
He was suddenly completely surrounded by a multitude of the creatures...

So it seemed that the Shadows followed him up toward the castle. That wasnt good. "Uh oh!" Dash said aloud as his zipped one way, still trying to run from them. But they just kept popping up no matter which way he went. Starting to punch one repeatedly, Dash said aloud "Get... out... of... my.... way!" Once that heartless was gone, Dash jumped back and started running around the group of heartless, getting them round up before making his way back down toward the town.
((By the way, there is a reason there is no reply yet: I sketched out a diagram for the next post, and misplaced it. Tomorrow, I can hunt for it, and will post it up once I have relocated it. This post is placeholder until then.))

((AH, I get it. And yes, I could read it. It took a second to completly understand what you were saying. But I get it now. Ill remake my post.))
"Uh Oh!" Dash said. The shadows surround him. He couldnt go anywhere, and they were slowly starting to close in on him. It was times like these that he wished that he wasnt alone. Not giving up, Dash started throwing rapid punches at the shadows that got closer then others. His rapid speed and reflexes allowed him to spin around and hit the shadows with more rapid punches. He would continue his punches, trying to thin the numbers before attempting to run from them. He didnt want to keep fighting them, nor would he be able to keep up the strength to fight them. But he had to try.

The heartless seemingly had no end; when one vanished, another took its place. Still more melted into the floor, running undisturbed as animated pictures on the surface before reemerging, antennae twitching, wide eyes staring.
He was too quick for one to grab intentionally; the startled shadow that found itself with the child in its grasp was just as soon clutching empty air. Still, they drew close, ever hopeful... or perhaps just not ever realizing the scale, or fact it may indeed not be worth it. Perspective was never a heartless strength. Numbers, however, were, especially for the nesting types such as these.

No other plans came to him. Dash was at a loss at the moment. As he defeated one, another came immediately after. There was no end to them. But all he could think to do was punch, punch, punch, and punch. He was trapped in this little circle, and he had shadows trying to grab him. They kept coming, and he kept running around. He needed something else to do. But as it was now, he couldnt think of another thing that was possible.
And just when he thought all hope was lost, Dash thought of something. Something his mom had told him awhile back 'When in trouble.... run as fast as you can!' Dash remembered. And thats when a plan hit him. Using his speed to his advantage, Dash started running quickly in a circle, counter-clockwise, slowly pushing outward as he did it, and keeping his right arm extended. He was trying to push to shadows outward, giving him a chance to leave an opening. Would it work? Well only time would tell that much, but anything that involved him using his speed was a good plan for him!

((Now this, my friend, is a good strategy, and one I can easily see Dash doing. Actually, in terms of strategies, this is excellent.))
Shadows are creatures of great number, not of great speed. They were not quite taken aback at the child's actions, but certainly were left far behind in terms of the race. None of them actually sought to escape his reach with the pull of his heart calling them ever so strongly forward, clawed hands reaching, lamplit eyes staring. Each Shadow he clotheslined with his hand -- his size made this far easier, due to his antagonists' diminutive stature -- was knocked back into the horde, quickly expanding the circle. Any Shadow that reached out was merely repelled.
Grasping a quickly moving object can be done, but it is difficult, and Shadows are not the masters at coordination to begin with. So far, the plan appeared to be working.

((Its a good thing I think up strategies often on other sites then, isnt it? And GASP! You posted.. the same day after I posted??? Who are you and what have you done with Sephiroth?! XD Sorry, I couldnt help it. Im just messing around. Slightly hyper right now.))
The plan was working a bit, but no opening could be seen at the moment. Sure, shadows werent the brightest of creatures... mainly for their lack of a mind, but in time, the shadows could have the chance of grabbing Dash. But he would have to worry about that later. For now, Dash somehow gained the chance to run even faster then he already was. For any onlookers, it would just look like a red and black blur in the middle of this circle. He kept knocking the shadows back with his extended arm. Sure he wished he had a bit of help, but as it was now, this was proving to himself that he could do it without help. And besides, he got to run. If his mom was here, she probably would have yelled at him. In his mind, sometimes it was good to be alone.

((*laughs* What I used to be months before Apple, and what I am determined to be again: active.))
But there was no other soul present. There were only those eternally reaching for that which was ripped from them, or that which they never once did have... neverending seeking, forever yearning. They saw him not as an entity of his own, for that was beyond the Shadows' perception. They saw a target, that which they would have. Instinct alone guided them, and instinct alone called them out...
Many a shadow reached to grab, to seize the wind; many a one missed entirely. One managed to rake clawed darkness across him, but failed to catch him, yet more replaced the role which it had taken, or attempted to. It was not even that he would eventually tire that drove them; just that the Heartless, ever optimistic, would not.

[Active... Its a good thing to be]
Just how long could running last? Dash was told to run as fast as he could when it came to trying to get out of something. But the more Dash ran, the more tired he would start to get, and the more the shadows could find a slight pattern to his running. So this time, Dash took a different turn. Instead of just running in circles, he ran in everyway he could, not stopping. He would keep turning, crossing the circle that he had previously run in, continued the circle, and so on. Each way he turned his hands extended toward the circle, trying to hit more heartless, and causing for a more random, erratic movement from him. He just needed to get an opening. That was all that was needed.
When the Dash left, the heartless drew nearer; as he knocked them aside, they fell back. The circle that had formed around him took on a far more amoebic shape, carved through erratic actions, both widening and shrinking, ultimately moving around and staying still.
And still the heartless were relentless, with a hunger that would never tire. Individuals in the swarm may fall, with others to take their place, giving the illusion of an endless group comprised of ever-returning Shadows.
Some may call it an impasse, others progress -- it all depended on if an opening was made. There were times when he neared the edge of the swarm, from the center, and times when he was dead in the middle..

((Alright this is where I have to ask for assistance. The only thing Dash has for use is his speed and reflexes. But I cant seem to think on what to do next. And I still keep thinking that Im not portraying Dash just right. Any assistance?))
