In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

As she fell, Jìzhu distantly heard the sounds of the Parasite Cage finally dieing. Good riddance. She thought, feeling her mind slipping closer to unconsciousness. She only hoped that Chinzo was alright, and able to fend off or escape from whatever the Walrus threw out next. Just as her mind almost went out, she heard, as if from across the vastness of space, her friend calling out to her, his voice full of passion and anger and love.
"I'LL CATCH YOU, JIZHU!!!"
The conviction in his voice snapped Jìzhu out of her pessimistic stupor as she felt herself fall into Chinzo's gentle arms. She looked up at her savior, her eyes full of amazement at this man, this old man with the youthful vigor of a child and amazing magical abilities.
"You caught me..." She said, her weak voice barely a whisper. Her eyes closed, a couple tears of happiness rolling down her cheeks as Chinzo's green light of healing swept over them. She felt so happy, that she meant so much to someone.
She felt the pain in her wrists going away, the bones resetting themselves properly, becoming as good as new. This spell was also doing more than simply healing Jìzhu, she could feel even her mental strength returning. After he finished, Jìzhu felt completely refreshed. She looked over and watched as the Parasite Cage gave out its last cries of pain before fading into the darkness.
Before Jìzhu could ask what they were gonna do next, Chinzo pressed a button on his watch. Almost instantly, Chinzo's ship arrived, blasting a hole in the wall, through which Chinzo quickly carried Jìzhu and got them on the ship. Within moments, they were flying through space, Wonderland quickly becoming a distant memory.
Once they were safely away, Jìzhu turned and pulled Chinzo into a hug, all her appreciation for everything he had done going into it. "Thank you, Chinzo, thank you for catching me." She said simply as she held the hug for a moment before letting go. She knew beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Chinzo was her friend, and she now trusted him with her life.
In the back of her mind, Jìzhu wondered what crazy world they were going to visit next.

Chinzo looked down at his friend with red eyes full of tears, then put her down onto the floor and wiped them away. He held her stead while she wobbled on her feet, which were still not fully healed. Chinzo smiled at this young girl and her determination, humbleness, and loyalty. He knew without a shadow of a doubt that Jizhu was his friend, and that he could trust her with his life.
Chinzo smiled and waved away her thanks. "Oh, no, my dear - I should be thanking you. I threw you into a dangerous, untame World with me, not even caring of the consequences, and you saved me countless times. I can never repay you for what you have done for me. But I hope that you can stand me for a just a little while longer - we need to talk."
Chinzo waggled his fingers and whispered a triggering incantation, and with the small amount of mana he had regained since the battle, a table appeared in the middle of the Hallway. You see, it had actually been there the whole time, but within the folds of another dimension. Now Chinzo had merely pulled it back through.
It was a plain table, made of painted black wood and in the shape of a square, with sharp edges and matching black chairs. Chinzo sat down in one, and gestured for Jizhu to sit down in another.
"Before we retire to our rooms - for I am sure we're both very tired - I think we should discuss where to go next. I have two places in mind, for you to think about - Halloween Town, a scary place with creepy ghouls and goblins and never-ending festivals, is the first.
The second is the Caribbean, a series of rocky islands in the middle of a large sea, full of pirate ships and buried treasure.
Please, choose, unless you have another place in mind." Chinzo smiled at his friend, charming flowing like honey through his words.

Chinzo had waved away Jìzhu's thanks and thanked her for what she did for him. She didn't really feel like she had done all that much, though as she reviewed the day in her head, she realized that she really had kicked some major but, despite taking some serious injuries herself and passing out several times.
Suddenly Chinzo summoned a black table and chairs, motioning for Jìzhu to sit down, which she did. She listened as Chinzo explained what he wanted to talk about.
"Before we retire to our rooms - for I am sure we're both very tired - I think we should discuss where to go next. I have two places in mind, for you to think about - Halloween Town, a scary place with creepy ghouls and goblins and never-ending festivals, is the first."
At this Jìzhu made a bit of an odd, confused face. She couldn't recall what "ghouls" and "goblins" were, though she did know what a festival was, so at the moment, Halloween Town sounded pretty good.
"The second is the Caribbean, a series of rocky islands in the middle of a large sea, full of pirate ships and buried treasure."
Large Sea? Pirates? The only part of that she really understood was the word Treasure, because she didn't know what a Pirate was and though she had a vague idea about the Sea, she couldn't really wrap her mind around that much water.
"Please, choose, unless you have another place in mind."
Well, considering that she didn't really know anything about any of the worlds that were out there, she didn't have another place to suggest, so she decided on the one that sounded best.
"Um, I think that Halloween Town sounds the best Chinzo." She said simply, noticing for the first time that she wasn't being as formal with Chinzo anymore.

Chinzo smiled warmly. The girl had finally called him by his first name! That was a sign of a great friendship. And she'd picked Halloween Town! Chinzo had wanted to go there, too. She really had a lot in common with him, didn't she?
"Alright then," Chinzo smiled. "Halloween Town it is! Now, let us sleep - it's been a long day." Chinzo's eyes drooped as he began to let the charm of vigor he'd put on himself go. He was so tired after all of that fighting that, for that whole conversation, the only reason he was awak was because of the mana flowing through his veins.
Chinzo got up, scooted in his chair, then yawned loudly. "Excuse me!" Chinzo said, laughing a little. He stumbled into his room and fell down onto the bed, falling asleep instantly.
When Chinzo smiled warmly at Jìzhu, she smiled back, glad that her friend was alright. She noticed that he didn't mind at all that her formality was gone, though, she figured that when you share so many life-or-death moments together in one day, a bond of friendship gets forged.
"Alright then," Chinzo said with a smile as he got up. "Halloween Town it is! Now, let us sleep - it's been a long day."
Indeed it has been quite a day. Jìzhu was more than a little bit exhausted herself. She also got up from the table.
"Excuse me!" Chinzo said with a laugh as he went to his room and promptly passed out.
Jìzhu nodded as she also went to her room, closing her door gently before disrobing. She took a shower first and then crawled into her bed. As she drifted off to sleep, her thoughts of the day's events gave way to dreams of her life back in China, back home. She dreamed of her life, which, when she awoke, she still wouldn't remember, beyond a vague feeling of being homesick, and lost.
