In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Jason stood in the crystal fissure once more. It was the closest he could get to his home, and he still needed to meet with a member of the Restoration Committee, or a Keyblader such as Sora. Sure he was a nobody, but he didn't want to be. And he didn't force the destruction of heartless so that Kingdom Hearts be completed and he could hopefully find a way to be human. No... Jason had a way. But he needed access to his lab, which was unfortunately in the town that he was not allowed to go to. He wanted to right the wrongs that he had made so long ago, but he wasn't sure that he could do such a thing. So he would help others with their problems in hoping that it would help in the same way.
As he stood there, waiting and watching the town, he figured he may have to lure someone out. Jason had limited control over the nobodies, but if he could have them create a path leading to Jason, maybe, just maybe, someone would come along and hear him out. Luckily for him, though, he didn't need to. Heartless were wandering into to town from this way. Quite the line of them as well. He knew that once he got in the city limits that the security system would activate. Maybe someone would come and help him if the heartless attacked him outside. He followed behind them and waited til just the right time. Just before they reached the city walls, Jason launched a fireball at them.
The heartless swarmed him. Sure he could fend them off, but he needed someone to see and help. So he put up a fight, but let them attack as well. He would swing his staff and they would swing their claws. The claws slashed at him, and weakened him. He had to keep attacking because the heartless may give up if they realized that he didn't have a heart for them to steal. Just then, he noticed someone standing up by the wall, just walking by and not noticing what was going on. It was now that he had to yell out. "Help! Help!" He yelled, genuinely sounding like he needed it. He just hoped that the person would hear and answer. If not... Jason would wipe them all out, and think of a new plan.
[The someone can be the first person to enter or just some random person. I'll leave it up to whoever joins]

"Crystal Magnet!" A girlish voice cried out from beyond the town gates. A fierce determination emanating from the yelp, as a lone throwing-star shot out towards Jason. Stopping unexpectedly in mid-air as the very emptiness of space came out from the Throwing Star and engulfed it. Coming across as a river of black and purple matter that pulled in the Darkness and the Non-Existance, the Heartless and the Unknown.
Paralyzed and unable to do harm, the Heartless attack was stopped, or so Makoto hoped at least. Still dressed as a Princess of both Light and Dark, she took her time getting to the City Gate. Eventually arriving where she felt she was needed, atop the City-Gates where she over-looked Jason. But something was wrong... she arrived there panting heavily.
Taking a brief moment to catch her breath, before she jumped down and approached Jason. Resting her hand against the "Heartless Planet" as if they were rendered helpless as she catch'd her breath.
"I can't believe Crystal Magnet worked so far away... Boy, I've gotten alot better now than I ever did before." She said, eye'ing out Jason as she spoke in a selfish tone.
Having catch'd her breath, she swiped her hands across her dress and held her hand to her chin as she raised her eye in curiosity.
"So... What are you again? Rarely anyone comes out here unless they own a Gummi Ship or they want to stir up the Heartless. Not that many people can deal with larger swarms of Heartless ya know. Not unless you're like those guys I met a few days back, you know, the type with special powers and things like that?"
Stopping mid-sentence, Makoto felt something was wrong. Her Crystal Magnet spell was wearing thin and she left her swords at home... Lowering her head, she sighed and planted both her hands on the ball of Heartless. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath and focused. The Crystal Spinal between her breasts having already started shinning brightly.
"Crystal Psychic!" She yelled, letting out all the energy she had managed to bring out. Which essentially, caused the ball of heartless to blast towards the sky like a Soccer Ball! Leaving only the Throwing Star behind as they all scattered into an unknown horizon. Sadly for Makoto... she didn't take it so well, as mere seconds after she sent them flying, she fell on her hands and knees. Lowly grunting...
"Too...far..." She said lowly, as she tried to get a grip of herself. "Stupid... Crystal Shard..."

As the girl heard his cry for help, Jason would hear her shout the name of an attack, one that was sure to help him out. The heartless would be pulled together, and more importantly, taken off of him. She would walk toward him, asking him why he was out here and talking about some people she had met previously. Jason wasn't sure who she was talking about, but perhaps he would be able to help her. After all, it was imperative that he gained her trust before she tried to go back into the city. The mainframe would instantly activate the claymores and start attacking Jason if he stepped foot in the city. So he would have to be very careful, and hope that he would get done what needed to be done.
She then proceeded to launch the ball of heartless back into the fissure. Jason smiled an emotionless smile, one that would fool even the smartest of people. She didn't know he was a nobody, and he planned to keep it that way, for now. He stood up and walked toward her, quickly spinning his staff and aiming the crystal ball on the end of the staff at her. With quick words, he said "Cura!" With that said, a green light would envelop the two people as they would be healed. She would feel strength returning to her, and the scratches of the heartless would be healed on him. He then rested his staff on the ground and took the crystal ball off before allowing his staff to disappear, and returning his crystal ball to his pocket.
"Thank you for saving me. I was just out here exploring and they attacked me. I normally do pretty well against them, but I guess the element of surprise was on their side." He said, then changing the subject back to her. "You look slightly strange as if not from this world. Tell me, if you don't mind... From where do you come from? He would ask her, wondering at her appearance. Surely she came from another world, but from which one, he was not certain. It didn't look like anything he had seen before, and Jason had certainly seen a lot in his time as a nobody, especially from all the help that he had given to people. All the while, he was still wondering how he would gain her trust, and if he would be able to convince her to get help from someone in the castle of Radiant Garden.

Stood up from her knees after her strength returned to her and she faced Jason with an arrogant smile.
"Funny that you ask that, that's what I was asking you just now. But... I guess I can answer first. Ahum, I'm Makoto Luwein from The Crystal Kingdom, but I've been stuck in Radiant Garden for the past couple of years. But you should have noticed that I wasn't from here when you first glanced at me, there aren't alot of people here with Crystals growing out of their chests. Just as there aren't people with Silver Hair and Silver Eyes that are from here."
Lowering her eyes she slowly realized that Jason cast a spell on her. Blinking her eyes wide-open, her arrogant expression to a more surprised one. Even her Crystal Shard seemed to react to the spell, as the dark color turned itself slightly white. Makoto seemed shaken as she seemed to feel and see something Jason couldn't, something in how the spell felt.
"That's..... White Magic. But... why would someone like you know how to use it? Only those who use the power of the crystals or those who have studied most of their lives know how to use it. And why does it feel so different. I mean... I know I've seen other magicians... like Merlin, but... even his maic didn't feel like yours... where's the so... Just... what are you?" She asked slowly, herself feeling rather confused

Jason smiled again, knowing fully that she knew he wasn't exactly human. Sure it was once again, an emotionless smile, but it had soon become habit rather then trying to force one out. Jason's life revolved around helping others, and in this case... Trying to help her caused her to realized that he wasn't quite the same as everyone else. He listened to her finish everything that she was saying before he finally spoke. So she was from a different world, and he was right, it was one that he hadn't heard of before. But when she made a mention that you didn't see many people with Silver hair or eyes, he almost laughed. Yes, he did have Silver hair and eyes, but he actually was from Radiant Garden.
"Funny you should mention silver hair and eyes... Because I am actually from here in Radiant Garden. But you have caught on, and unfortunately... I won't be able to hide it even if I tried. In regards to the magic, I know of it because I have studied it for a long time, longer then you have probably been alive. But I am what is known as a nobody, a being without a heart. I have been this way for at least 1000 years, but I do not wish to be this way. You see... Most nobodies only work toward getting a heart, regardless of who is hurt in the process. While I wish for the same goal, the means by which achiveing it are different. I help people with whatever it is that they need and in turn will eventually be able to get that. However..." He said, pausing for a short period of time.
"In order to do that, I need to get into the town. You see, I have a laboratory inside the castle in town that will allow me to reach my goal. The problem? The towns defense system prevents any heartless and nobodies from entering without getting attacked. The people in charge of Radiant Garden can modify it and allow me in, but I haven't been able to reach any of them. Thats where I would ask for you help, but I would love to help you in return. If there is anything that you need, feel free to ask me." He said, hoping that she didn't mind the long winded introduction. And it was at that point, that he realized he never gave her his name. Laughing slightly, he said "Sorry, I never gave my name. My name is Jason Arilani."

Makoto shrugged as she stare in the direction ofJason's Heart, or well, where it should be. Jason musta been insane if she thought she was gonna take this like it was nothing... which... she almost did admitedly. But after giving herself a good two minutes to think it through, she mellowed out.
"Unless you could tell me how to restore a World that was consume by the heartless, there's nothing I really nee help with. And you're out of luck. I don't really know who the people in charge of Radiant Garden. I admit, I've heard rumors of where I can find them, but I'm underaged, they'd never let me see them" She explained
"But then again... I could probably meet with Merlin, but... why would he believe me if I told him about you" and continued...
Tapping her chin, she tried to think up a way to get around the obvious problem with Jason being a target for the Defense SYstem. Even if she was just a Waitress in a Café there still should have been something she could do. And without warning or notification, she recieve the answer from an unlikely source, the Crystal Shard.
Realizing that there might be Crystals in Radiant Garden, the Shards unlikely info struck her with inspiration.
"But maybe there's another way. Cause I just got an idea. You're the oldest geezer ever too, so you might just be able to get it to work." She said, "The Defense System only works if the Heartless or Nobodies come into contact with the ground, if they can fly, the Defense System will never even know their there. If I remember right, there's a spell called Float that let's you hover overthe ground."
Holding up her hand and stickin out her finger, she gave her solution in a rather prideful tone.
"Back in my World, people from thousands of years back used Crystals that allowed them to cast magic. Even though magic stopped being used for one reason or another, the Yukes still kept using magic and refine their mastery. Which is how I know that Crystals can be used to cast spells. Now... I'm not entirely sure on the details or if the whole Crystal Thing applies to all crystals or just the ones at home. Namely cause I've never seen any here. But, if you find me a few crystals and we get lucky, I just might be able to refine you something that lets you cast the Spell you need to get into Radiant Garden."

Jason listened to Makoto as she explained about the only thing she wanted. She wanted her world to be released from the darkness after it had been consumed by the heartless. He wasn't sure if he could help with that, other then to train the young girl and aid her that way. However, she continued to talk, as though to herself for a moment, and then to him. She mentioned how the defense system only worked on those who were on the ground. Jason, however, knew this not to be true. He knew of floating heartless that were previously in the town that were still attacked by the towns defense system, so after she spoke of the crystals, Jason decided it was time to speak himself.
"While it is an admirable effort, even through floating or flying, the towns defense system will pick up on it. There are several different floating heartless that have been in town and attacked by the defense system. And if you are still not convinced, perhaps I can show you." He said as he allowed his staff to reappear. He ran his hand over one of the lines of writing and spoke the chant that was written in the ancient language. "The staff in my power, allow me transporation!" As he said this, his staff started to glow. It then floated in mid-air and Jason jumped on, riding it as if it were an air glider. He then floated slowly beyond the towns gates, and immediately the claymores sprung into action, attempting to attack. Jason immediately flew back out and jumped off, grabbing the staff once again.
"You see? However... I may be able to succeed if I can get to Merlin's. Unfortunately, I do not know where it is. Things have changed ever since I've last been here. If you can help me there, then perhaps I have something in my lab that will help get your world back. And if I cannot find that, then I will figure a way to harvest the crystals in the fissure behind me and allowing you to utilize those for your own magical properties, and I'll even be able to train you in the magical arts, if you would like." He said as he looked to her.
He then continued "All I need is one small thing. Just focus, in your mind on his house, if you've seen it, or at least the wizard, and take hold of my crystal ball. That will show me what I need, and I can then teleport into his house. The defense system can't sense me in a house." He said as he hoped she would be of use to him. Getting his lab back was all he had dreamed of. It would make being a nobody much more worthwhile.

"Actually... I really can't use Crystals to cast magic. I was taught how to prepare them, but I can't use them... Magic works differently for me." Makoto explained, taking care once more to put herself as a priority before focusing on Jason's bussiness.
Holding up her arm against the Crystal Ball, she recalled her memories of Merlin. The details of his house, his accent and quirks, the very path to his house with a mental map of the town. She didn't focus though, she only stared into the Crystal ball, and yawned after she was finished. She kept thinking of Merlin, his house and the path there though.
"I could have sworn the Defense System didn't work against these 'nobodies' cause you're not Darkness itself. Heartless radiate their illness and beastial nature unto the world no matter where they are. I just assumed that, since I don't feel anything from you, you needed to be directly in contact with the ground to be noticed. Maybe Merlin will tell us more" She said out of the blue, maybe trying to justify her earlier train of thought.
"And if you really want to return the favor if this really works, teach me how to use Crystal Cure or tell me where I can get a Gummi Ship. I'm tired of working as a Waitress"
Post by Jason Arilani on Dec 9, 2010 0:31:41 GMT -4
Jason listened to her saying that she can't use the crystals, but she still showed him the path to Merlin's. As he watched this, he now knew exactly how to get there, and he could now only hope that his meeting with the magician would help him. But as he prepared to leave, Makoto continued to talk about the nobodies and how she couldn't believe that he was still attacked. Jason had to inform her of this. "Originally, I believe that Nobodies would be able to enter the town easily. But after the attacks by Organization XIII, all nobodies were targetted. Which unfortunately locked me out of the town that I previously lived in. Thats why I am still injured by their defense system. And until the target is destroyed, the system gets stronger and stronger." He said.
He then heard her request for either learning Crystal Cure, or telling her where to get a Gummi ship. He thought for a brief moment. He may have some books on crystals in his lab, but he knew he had a Gummi ship in his lab. With his teleportation powers, he could get the ship outside and help her out in that way. "I may have some books in my lab about crystals, so I can help you with learning Crystal Cure. I obviously know how to use a cure spell, but in a different manner then your crystal. However, in regards to a Gummi ship... I have one that you can use... Have for that matter. I have other means of transportation now. So then... If you want to see the lab... Do you care to accompany me, or is there other business that you need attending to first?" He asked, hoping to get this over with soon.
Post by zerooflegend on Dec 9, 2010 20:33:07 GMT -4
Rose her chin as a grin formed with her lips, a joyous feeling overwhelming her. Placing her finger-tips on the crystal, she tried to return the biggest gift she was ever given. How? By recalling all her memories of the town... Which included quite a bit of the town since she had mapped out the city out during her first year in Radiant Garden. Maybe she couldn't recall every minding detail, but it was probably more than what Jason wanted.
"Do I seem like I want to spend another month here? I can get another apartment and another job in some other world. So let's just go see Merlin!"
Raising her right leg, she started walking off in the direction of the town.
[In-case we get to Merlin's place next post. Makoto would probably knock and say Hi. She respects Merlin, but she wouldn't change who she was cause of him]
Merlin wasn't in a good mood. Some idiot with a lance and a giant dragon had been flying around in the canyons, rousing large and powerful heartless, and then thrashing them. The news had reached Merlin's ears only after the man took out four behemoths. Why was Merlin upset? well, that's an easy to answer question. The young man is on the brink of stirring a king behemoth, and that always gets messy. Three times as large, four times as powerful, a King Behemoth is nothing to trifle with. Last time one was summoned, it rampaged through the town, and held its own against a trio of keyblade wielders.
Merlin, however, became distracted. The behemoth problem was far enough away that he could worry about it later. His distraction came from the gates of town, where two young individuals were standing. One had a crystal protruding from her chest, which was glowing faintly. The other was a Nobody.
Merlin grew skeptical. How had a nobody with such a whole human form escaped not only the organizations clutches, but the Claymore system? His aura was very old, and with that age was a large amount of power.
As Merlin neared the gates, he saw the nobody fly briefly into town. the second he crossed the threshold, the claymores jumped into action, and he turned around as quickly as he came in. Well, that answers that question. He hasn't avoided the Claymores. I wonder why he is....
Merlin smiled. Both the girl and the nobody were trying to find him. What was it with people these days? it's not like his house was hard to find.... well, i guess it is.. it's all the way in the back of town and it's in the middle of that neighborhood... so i guess you could have difficulty finding it...
Merlin walked out of the gate and stood there, looking at the two beings that were looking for him. the girl, without even noticing him, spun around and started walking right at him!
Holding out his hand to prevent her from running into him, Merlin looked between the two beings. "Well! what do we have here?"
Post by Jason Arilani on Dec 11, 2010 17:24:23 GMT -4
As soon as Makoto had said "Lets just go see Merlin", Jason held out his hand to create a portal behind him to teleport directly to Merlin's house. The portal started to form, but then he looked up, and there was the wizard they were looking for. He stopped the creation of the portal and looked toward the wizard. Jason gave a soft bow, out of respect for Merlin. He was a renowned wizard that many knew of, especially in this town. Jason was probably the only person who was older then he was. But in regards to this matter, he did not care about age. It was power that was needed, and due to Merlin's standing in the RGRUC, Jason was powerless against him.
"You seem to have great timing. And I am sure you have already deduced who I am. I have been looking for you, or any member of the RGRUC for that matter. Excuse me for not introducing myself. I am Jason Arilani, and yes... I am a nobody. One who requires passage into the city without being attacked by those claymores. Perhaps you could help me with that?" He said as he pulled off one of his black gloves and revealed to both Makoto and Merlin what lay underneath. It was the symbol of the nobody, with many scars covering the hand. When he first became a nobody, he tried to reverse it by tearing the symbol from his hand, but it always came back. He did it numerous times, but to no avail. But with any luck, he would be a nobody no more in due time.
He looked to Merlin now, wondering exactly what Merlin would do. Would he attack Jason? Would he label him as a great enemy due to his great age? Or would he aid Jason in finally reaching his lab for the first time in almost 1000 years? And even if Jason did become human once more... Would he die instantly like the man he succeeded in making human before him? Would he immediately age to his correct age and just turn to dust? Or would he survive? Was he needed amongst the worlds as a human, or should he stay as a nobody? It was hard to say, and there were so many unanswered questions. But hopefully, he would have the true answer in due time. It all depended on whether or not Merlin was willing to help him out.

Makoto bowed her head as she catched glimpse of Merlin. Moving herself to the side and stood in-between the two older men patiently after these came closer to each other.
"Good Morning Merlin. I'm glad to see you again, been a long time since I saw you. Has your beard gotten longer or did you get it trimmed? It looks nice either way"
Holding her arms behind her back and hold her hands together. If these Geezers talked as much as her old geezers, she was gonna be standing in wait for "quite" a while.
Merlin smiled. Here was an interesting predicament; a nobody of immense power and age, and to top it off, he had escaped notice and capture of the Organization XIII.
Tapping his chin, Merlin went through his mental database, and quickly recognized the name that the nobody had presented. Arilani, Jason. Hmm… It looks like at one point in time, he was a very different man…
Merlin sighed, and frowned slightly before he spoke. “I’m terribly sorry to say this, Mr. Arilani, but there is a slight problem; It no longer exists. And also, I cannot create any exceptions to the Defense System, nothing short of destroying the whole thing. If you want to make an exception, you’ll have to talk to Tron.”
He looked Jason in the eyes briefly, and shook his head. “If you need something else, however, perhaps I may be of assistance? As it were, you both have caught me on the way to my daily exercise. I can point you in the direction of the nearest device that will aid you in contacting Tron, but I will warn you and tell you that he is a being of almost pure logic. You will have to show him a logical reason to allow you as an exception.”
Merlin then turned to the crystal magician, and smiled. “No, actually, I did not trim my beard, or my hair. I guess it is just the angle of the sun today? Thank you either way.”
Shaking his head, Merlin looked at the crystal’s energy patterns. It showed a certain stress, which was a good thing, and meant that it was healthily developing, being used, replenished and cared for.
Post by Jason Arilani on Dec 22, 2010 14:45:48 GMT -4
Jason heard the words of the wizard, saying that it did not exist anymore. He couldn't believe such words. He had built his lab with very strong walls and a very high security access. There were four different things that needed to be done in order to even access the lab that no one would be able to get into it without him. He also spoke of Tron and said that he would need to speak with Tron in order to be allowed into the city past the defense system. He also heard that it would be hard for him to convince Tron as he was a man of pure logic. Jason was a man of no emotion. Logic should be easy for him. Not to mention, he had several ancient historical items that were in his lab, as well as plenty of research on the heartless and nobodies.
He pulled his Crystal ball from his pocket and held it in his hands while closing his eyes. He focused on what he remembered of his lab and the image was shown on the crystal ball, though in the present day. What did he see? A house in the city. The house had a door on it that had no doorknob. It had no windows. Why it was now in a house was beyond Jason's knowledge, but he knew that it had to have a reason. He smiled as he saw it, though it was only out of rememberance of emotions rather then having true emotions. He then looked back up to Merlin and said "You're wrong... It does still exist..."
He then put the crystal ball back up and continued "However, if I have to speak to Tron, I will. I appreciate you showing me the way to where I can do such a thing." He said, looking back to Makoto "And don't worry, I will still get you your Gummi Ship as promised." He looked back to Merlin and nodded, hoping to get this over with soon. Even if he had to remain as a nobody for longer, at least he would be allowed into the town. And then, he could look over his past research, donate some items to the town, and remember some of his experiments from long past. He remembered one that was done from long ago involving two little boys and he kept them in suspended animation, never aging. He hoped that it was still there. There was so much that he was hoping for, and all of it revolved around Tron allowing him access.
