Name: Angelux
Nickname(optional): Lux
Age: 14? (Although he has aged past this point by some two years, his body remains the same)
Gender: Male
Species: Alas, the age long question. He does not know.
Position: Somewhere in the middle. Angelux is neither good nor evil... the best word that could be used to describe him would be confused.
Weapon: Angelux has the power to manipulate both the darkness and the light. He does not understand the power yet though, and has no idea how he came upon it. The powers are in their most infantile form as of now, although Lux is prone to strange outbursts of uncontrolled energy, followed by great fatigue. Lux hopes to hone his skills over time though, and one day use them to find some unanswered questions.
Other Weapon: Keyblade
Name: Silent Moon
Picture:Click to Enlarge
Description: It has been told that the deadliest of weapons wielded by man is the fabled keyblade. As an old friend of mine once so wisely put it, "The Keyblade; A weapon so powerful, if harnessed to its full potential, it could destroy (or even create) entire universes."
So what could make such a deadly device even more powerful? What if this device in question was completely invisible to the naked eye, but by the the wielder himself. What if the only way to see the blade was through the light of the moon? Is it possible to fight someone with a blade you cant even see?
Powers: During the day, Silent Moon is invisible to all accept for the one who wields it. But it is at nighttime that this oversized key really shines. ((I Love puns!)) When the nighttime sky hits the cold, hard metal surface of the giant key, a faint blue outline of the sword is reflected, revealing the blades true form, and unlocking its powers. ((I'm on a roll
)) For it is only at night that the swords power can be uncovered. Harnessing the cosmic power of light and darkness, Silent Moon grants the bearer the power of stealth under the night sky. When in use, this power allows the user to blend in with his or her background like a chameleon might do, virtually disappearing into darkness. This power can be enacted a total of 30 minutes each night before the power in the sword is left empty. The sword must then once again be exposed to the light of the sun for at least 3 hours the next day to capture enough energy to use its powers again the following night.
Side Note: It has been said in myth and in legend that this keyblade holds one more power... but the information on this extra power has been lost in time. The only hint given is embossed within the handle in a tiny ancient script. "Thou who shalt desire my true power heed my words and read carefully. The light burns my eyes and the darkness leaves me blinded. An extreme will bring you far to be sure, but strength comes not from earthly glow. Look to the center and you will find your answer." For years since the keyblade's first appearance, scholars from across the universe have tried their very best to decipher the ancient hieroglyphic message, but all have failed.
Picture(optional):Appearance: Angelux stands about 5' 2" and weighs just over 100 lbs. He has a very small frame, but also carries quite a lot of muscle for one of his size. His hair is so blond, more often than not, it is mistaken as pure white. Often times neglecting to comb his main of white and blond, Lux's hair lies bedraggled and tangled upon his head, falling somewhere just below his slight shoulders. His eyes are the purest of light blues, almost emanating a light of their own. One might say that Lux has eyes which can see into another mans soul and turn him inside out, and it would not be too far from the truth. People have an odd way of getting lost in his eyes. Angelux's features are soft, almost angelic even, which can often be misleading of his personality.
Personality: Angelux has a determination unrivaled by even the most driven of men and women. When he sets his sites on something he wants, there is almost never any turning back. Lux can be kind, and unconventionally giving at times, doing whatever it takes to help someone he trusts. On the other hand, Lux has also been known to show no mercy in battle, and will tear through an army of heartless, nobodies, and men without remorse. He is often times brash and sarcastic with his words, giving the impression of someone who may be difficult to get along with, but many a time, his feelings to not match his words. Angelux is secretive about anything he feels is important, and will die before revealing information he deems to be important. Lux is also slow to befriend someone, and even slower to trust them fully. if there was one word that could describe him as a whole, it would be the word "enigma." Not much is known about Lux by himself or by others. He is secretive and discreet and his personality can change on the drop of a dime.
History/Background: There is not much that can be said in this area. Not even Angelux knows much about his past. Two years ago, Lux remembers waking up, somewhere in a back alley in the streets of a place called twilight town. He has no memories of the events before this; not a single one. Lux is determined to find out about his past though. He has spent the time since his "awakening" jumping from planet to planet on starships owned by different wealthy traders. The only evidence of his past comes from a giant scar which he adorns on his left breast, (just where his heart would be) and for a small blackened locket shaped like a heart which Lux carries with him at all times. The locket grows hot in the presence of heartless. Both the scar and the locket are a mystery to Angelux, but he is determined to find their meaning one day.
Role Playing Sample:Two years, it had been two year now and yet he had found nothing. Lux gazed down at necklace which had worn around his neck all this time. It was the only clue left... the only hint of what he had left behind, of the many memories which he had lost what seemed like forever ago. For there was now nothing left... nothing.
Angelux wandered down into an alleyway, his feet carrying him to a place he knew all to well. The sun beat down harshly over his head, the looming shadow of the building next to him proving to be little in cooling his body off.
Lux's eyes scanned the deserted alley, searching once more for something (a clue maybe) he knew was not going to be there. After a moment of blankly staring at the wall, Lux sat down roughly, leaning his back against the wall. This is where it had all started, everything he remembered up until this point. Maybe... maybe he wasn't even real. Maybe he had been set here by someone, or something, who was now laughing at him, cackling with mirth at how perfectly stupid Lux had been. But even as the thoughts had entered his head, he could not believe it, he simply could not accept it. There was a life he had lived before this one, he knew it. Somewhere deep in his soul, he could feel the memories, floating just barely out of his grasp.
As had happened so many times before, Lux grabbed the locket from inside his shirt and began studying it. And, as so many times before, the locket remained the same... unchanged by time. Well... this was not true Lux reflected. It had changed at first. When he had first noticed the locket around his neck, it had been the purest of golds. shining brilliantly in even the dimmest light. But as time had gone on, the locket had began to change, turning from gold, to midnight black within a year. Lux had been shocked at first, but now... nothing seemed to shock him.
He read the inscription out loud, reciting the words in meter. "In storm my guiding star, your love makes me whole... owner of my heart, and keeper of my soul... I hold the lock, and you hold the key... when the new dawn awakens you'll be here with me." Lux's eyes dug holes deep within the piece of metal... what was its secret? Who was the one who had given it to him? He did not know, but even now, he could feel her somehow... she was out there somewhere, and he would find her... some day.
Angelux tucked the small heart back into his shirt, the coolness of the locket causing him to flinch slightly. Why was it always so cold?
Yes... this is where it had all started, so why had he still not found a clue? Some evidence of his past? Angelux sighed softly, pushing all the thoughts which were now bombarding his mind to the back of his brain for the time being. He looked around, studying the brickwork of the building in front of him. It was masterfully layed, he mused silently, wondering how long a building such as this would take to build for one man.
Growing bored, Lux turned his attention to the shadow which was now cast about half way into the alley. It would not be long before the entire alley was one big shadow. Lux lifted his hand idly and drew upon the inner power which he had been granted, the power which he still knew nothing about. The darkness seemed to ripple slightly, causing the air around the spot to become thicker, denser. A moment later, the darkness had moved out of the way, letting in a circle of light. Lux smiled to himself, moving the circle around the cobblestone road and then up the brick wall. If only he could find some way to use these powers that was useful to his cause and not just mere amusement.
Role Play 2 (Battle):That was an idea, Lux realized as Kaze pretended to fall to the ground. As a rule, heartless were not really that intelligent, and tricking them into thinking you were hurt and down might just do the trick. But Lux didn't have to fake a fall because at that moment both heartless charged full force in his direction.
Lux dived to the side, doing a barrel roll forward and landing on his feet again, just barely missing a collision with one of the heartless. If only he could distract them for just a moment... just long enough to get in a good shot, he would at least take out one of them. And once the first one fell, it would be much easier to take out the next... but what could he possibly do that might catch their attention?
It was at this point that something clicked in Lux's mind. It wasn't a discovery, but more like a realization that he had known what to do all along.
Summoning all his strength up, Lux began to search his mind for the source of his power. It was not a physical source, but a mental trigger or sorts; a power box where the entirety of his emotions were stored.
He took a couple deep breaths, calming his body to a state of complete relaxation and closed his eyes tight. He would need a lot of energy to do this... more than he was used to exerting during his little tricks with light and darkness, and he was not sure yet if her could handle it. It was not something he enjoyed doing... not in the traditional sense at least, but it was something which he knew would be helpful if honed correctly.
Wasting no more time, Lux drew upon a memory somewhere deep in his mind. It was foggy at first, but in just a couple seconds it had grown clear; so clear in fact, Lux often found that in these instances it was difficult to determine reality from mirage.
There was a child... himself... standing alone in the snow crying. It was dark out now, the utter silence of the scene a great contrast to the raging battle going on outside of his mind. An older looking boy of maybe 22 years stood next to the Angelux in his vision, kicking out at the defenseless boy, yelling taunts his way. "You thought you could steel from our families food stand and get away with it? I am going to teach you a lesson you will never forget!" The boy screamed, the spittle from the older boy's mouth flying into Angelux's face. The real Lux watched the scene transpire, unable to change what was happening, unable to even move.
The older boy began to beat the vision of Lux, kicking him again and again. A man and woman came outside to watch, but did nothing to stop the boy from beating Lux. He could feel the pain of it all over again... he could feel the bruises from being beaten... he could even taste the saltiness of his own blood in his mouth again.Lux let the memory wash over him, his hatred of the boy... his hatred of humanity in general consuming him like a wave.
Lux's eyes opened wide as he was transported back to reality. It had been several minutes for him, but as he had figured out many times before, it had only been a matter of seconds in the real world.
His bright blue eyes had changed, turning deep crimson, and his body was now emanating a faint black glow, almost as if Lux's body was literally sucking up all the darkness around him. He fought to stay in control, pain and misery attempting to grab hold of him.
"YOU WILL NOT WIN!" Lux screamed, his eyes flashing menacingly and his black aura now beginning to pulse. Lifting his hand in the air, Lux found his first target and let a malicious smile that was not entirely his own cross his lips. Rushing forward with unearthly speed, Lux charged the heartless, and before it could get away, stabbed the beast with his keyblade.
The invisible keyblade grew hot in his hands, emanating a bright flash of light for a moment, revealing it's true form to anyone who might be watching. He pulled the blade out slowly and watched with a feeling of gruesome satisfaction as the heartless began to disappear from the inside out. It was slow at first, a burst of light which came from the opening where Lux had stabbed him, but soon it had moved up to it's arms, down to it's legs, and very last, all the way up it's head. In a matter of moments, the light had literally consumed the heartless whole.
From this point, his body had moved to auto pilot, and all his mind could do was watch in horror. The shadowed aura circling around his body held onto him, pushing in on him, constricting his breath, and controlling his body completely. Every emotion he had ever thought, every emotion he had ever known, began to rush through him hundreds at a time. Anger, depression, fear. He wanted to stop, wanted to run away, wanted to make the emotional tornado in his head dissipate, but his emotional turmoil only grew louder, and the shadow's grip on his body grew stronger.
Everywhere he looked, shadows began to flutter, to change their shapes, and dare he think it? gravitate towards him. Shadows from the buildings and shadows from the people alike were slowly stretching themselves towards him, crawling away from their masters as if they had a mind all their own.
Lux felt his body turn to the next heartless, targeting the weak monster for a moment before slicing his blade cleanly through the monster's stomach and then watching as it began to scream, slowly disintegrating into light... into nothingness... into everything.
Lux's Aura was so black now, it was beginning to envelope him entirely. Tears pored down copiously from his pulsing red eyes as he tried to get back some control, tried to beat the emotions back mentally, tried to suppress them back to where they belonged, in his mind.
The first of the shadows around him was drawn into his body suddenly, and Lux herd an ear splitting scream. He looked for the source for the source of the noise, but realize that it was actually himself. The pain was too much. It was as if this persons emotions... all his negative energy had been absorbed into Lux's body only to amplify his own negative thoughts 100 fold.
Just then, a memory he did not recognize, but somehow knew was his own, flashed before his eyes. A girl, young and very pretty (maybe about 14), flashed before his eyes. She was garbed in all white and she was... smiling? He could feel her warmth washing over him, and all at once the shadow's constricting clamp on his body began to grudgingly release its grip. What was this feeling? Kindness, admiration, love?
As quickly as it had come, the mental image of the girl had left him. His locket was scolding hot, but Lux welcomed the physical burning with open arms... it meant he was in control again.
Fianlly taking back control of the situation, Lux began to push the shadows away from him. Like a wave, the shadows all returned to their owners, and on the surrounding sheet of shadows on his body had all but disappeared.
Lux fell to the ground at once, the mental exhaustion only matched by the physical fatigue. There was a moment or so when he faintly tried to grasp the feeling he had experienced again, realizing it must have been love. He had once been in love? It was an amazing thought, a breakthrough into his past which he had long since given up on. But as sleep overtook him, his mind turned instead to more wistful fantasies and the real world was left behind.
