Name: Sebastian Dornes
Nickname(optional): Phantom
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Position: Good
Powers: Sebastian has the ability to project his body into electrical systems. This allows him to short out electronic devices among other things, but its main use is to allow him to control his Armored Core.
Weapon: Sebastian’s main weapon is his Armored Core, otherwise known as an AC. The Armored Core is a customisable robot construct designed for combat. Sebastian buys AC parts from six corporations; Emeraude, Zio Matrix, Balena, Crest Industries, Mirage and Kisaragi. Despite having bought two of every part the corporations had on the market, Sebastian uses only five signature AC setups. These are:
Halo - a mid-weight bipedal AC built for a balance of armour and mobility.
Angelo - A mid-weight hovering AC. High speed and high attack power.
Vigilance - Another mid-weight hover setup. Equips a machine gun for drawn-out battles.
Deathblaze - A mid-heavyweight reverse joint AC equipping spread rocket launchers for close quarters combat.
Sentinel - Sebastian’s all-powerful heavyweight tank setup. Equips two high-power grenade launchers on the shoulders.
Note: All five ACs bear a black and red paint job.
Sebastian has discovered that using his ACs for extended periods of time drains his energy. For this reason, he fights on foot when possible, and uses his ACs when the situation calls for their superior firepower and mobility. Also, since each AC is an individual setup, Seb must return to his ship if he wishes to switch to a different AC.
Despite the AC’s awesome capabilities, Sebastian keeps a few personal-scale weapons. Seb primarily uses a lightweight, bullpup battle rifle chambering 7.62mm armour-piercing rounds. The weapon comes with a 2x magnifying scope and a laser sight. He also has a custom 9mm pistol chambering hollow-tip boron rounds for high stopping power and little recoil. The barrel is extended for greater muzzle velocity and thus higher power.
For close quarters combat, he uses a laser rapier built especially for him by Mirage. It utilises the same technology as their top of the line AC laser blade, MLB-MOONLIGHT, and boasts unparalleled power. When the blade is deactivated, the handle looks like a simple metal cylinder with a button on it and a belt clip on one end. The blade itself is light blue, a metre long and can slice through pretty much any material.

Appearance: Sebastian has unruly brown hair and deep blue eyes. He stands at 5’ 10” and is fairly well-built. He is always seen in his black and red AC leathers with his guns and rapier strapped to his body. On the left side of his chest, he bears his Raven emblem; a black silhouette of a raven with a bright red eye. His ACs also bear this emblem on their left arms.
Personality: Sebastian is a polite and relatively optimistic fellow when in a good mood, but he is quick to anger and has been known to lash out at people when he is annoyed. When he is strapped into his AC in the middle of a raging battle, however, all emotion is pushed to the back of his mind and he focuses only on his objective. This has gotten him into trouble with friends on numerous occasions, but most of his fellow Ravens back home admired his indifference and determination.
History/Background: Sebastian Dornes grew up in an underground city called Layered. The city and its inhabitants were under the rule of a massive supercomputer simply called The Controller. This AI construct handled all the major decisions of everyone’s life, and under its guidance, people lived safe yet uninspired lives of a promised prosperity.
That changed when the corporations came on the scene. Slowly but surely, as the corporations waged war among each other, the forces of chaos began to rise. After a year or so of this, it became apparent that The Controller was malfunctioning. Controller forces began attacking all the corporations. Even Crest, its most staunch supporter, became a victim of its attacks. Eventually, a new organisation called Union, who had been blamed for numerous uprisings and terrorist activities around Layered, laid plans to render The Controller inoperable.
By this time, Sebastian had been working as a Raven. Ravens were mercenaries hired out to the corporations by Global Cortex and Nerves Concord, two organisations who used Ravens to mete out their special brand of mediation and conflict resolution. Sebastian - known by the codename Phantom - had gained a reputation as one of the most talented up-and-coming Ravens in the city. In fact, he was considered so good, he was given a place on a contract from Union. They had found a Raven willing and able to destroy The Controller, and had hired nine other Ravens to ensure he made it safely to Layered Hub, where The Controller was said to reside. Seb was the tenth and final Raven to be given the contract, and accepted it willingly.
His part in the mission proceeded without incident - save for a pair of Controller ACs ambushing the group and subsequently getting torn to pieces by Terra and Exile, two newcomers with unrivalled skill. As the Raven sent to destroy The Controller entered Layered Hub, something happened. The ten Ravens protecting him were attacked by a massive swarm of black creatures, led by five enormous humanoid beasts with heart-shaped holes in their torsos. Needless to say, the Ravens engaged them, and for the most part had them beaten… until ten more Controller ACs turned up. Immediately, the black things set upon them and overwhelmed them. What happened next still hasn’t been explained.
Somehow, the creatures
fused with the ACs. When they seemed to be finished, they turned once again upon Union’s Ravens. The fight was one-sided from the start. The Controller ACs had the upper hand; they were faster, and they didn’t seem to take damage. Pretty soon, Phantom and the others were overwhelmed. The last thing Sebastian remembers seeing is Ace, the top-ranked Raven, BB, placed second, and Royal Mist, third, attacking the Controller ACs. He stumbled across a transport ship and escaped, but fell unconscious from injuries sustained in the battle soon after putting the vessel on autopilot.
He found himself in Traverse Town some time ago. His ship was intact, but markedly smaller. As were his ACs; biped setups are normally several stories tall. Phantom’s ACs had been shrunk to his size and his ship was half as big as it once was. Despite this, Seb discovered that he can still use his ACs and his ship through his newfound ability to project his body into electrical systems. He has adjusted to life on this strange new place and intends to find out more about his predicament, and the creatures that attacked him.
