In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Location;; Library
What royals or ruler that lived in this castle seemed to have been long gone, but the legacy had still remained. Damien had no idea where to start, but the library seemed to be the practical of all places. He didn't came for ficticious tales to entertain himself with; personally he had his own turmoils to configure to organize and comprehend.
Sitting in a chair with his foot propped on a table, he had a book that he thought would have Radiant Garden's history in it, but before he can open it, his body stiffened. His eyes zoned out as his head was filled with images again. His hand clutched the arm of the chair tightly until his pale knuckles turned white pinking his fingers.
Large spherical worlds one by one started to waver with darkness. A few flashes of details blinded his eyes as hearts of many were stolen by heartless. Some were devoured for power fully discontinuing the person's existence, while summon suppered into black minions. Worlds were littered with black distorted figures of one's previous life similar to a C'ieth. Unlike a C'ieth, they were lucky to loose their humanity altogether disconnecting who they were to what they became, while a C'ieth become distorted crystalline figures trapped in torture of not having control.
Other worlds were still at peace, but the fallen faded out of the sky by darkness making the sky more empty than before. The one he roamed where still of the living, but each one he paced collasped. The vision ended with a blue heart parting the clouds before a white cataclysm wiped throughout the universe.
Once the light faded from his mind, Damien slackened on his chair. Never in the public have he's been found like this. His forehead was a bit damped, and his head pulsed with his raging heartbeat. With a heavy sigh, he let his head fall back on the chair allowing silence to heal him. How many more times must it haunt him continously? Although it is still unclear to him, he could feel dread coming along with it and desire to appreciate what he treads on.
Rose had picked her way through the castle, and located a library. It was musty, as if no one had been in there for quite a while. She looked at a title on a shelf. Some kind of research book. The book was about something called gummi ships. What kind of ships are made of candy? She looked around, didn't see anyone, and pocketed the book. It seemed very interesting. She walked slowly, looking at all the books. None of the titles seemed interesting. She rounded a corner and saw someone sitting at a table. She ducked back around the corner. There goes being alone. Wonder if he saw me...

Not wanting to put with the burden, he shook it off before flipping through the book, but he paused when a sound reached his ears; it was too hard to be a fluttering of pages. His white brows dipped as his head turned only to see shelves of books. He went lax again and returned towards the pages. Pinching the page, he skipped the acknowledgements and glanced over at the tables of content.
The next page was a sketch to how the world had looked before, but it went by a different name, Hallow Bastion. It went through some drastic changes, but some things still look familiar like some of the water fountain structures. He wondered if can get more information from the heart of the world, but making some connection he might as well complete the job once linked to it and after locating it. The L'Cie wanted to continue his procrastination until he had an efficient amount of knowledge about this world, but genuinely in the back of his mind, he knew that wasn't plausible; to top it off, he had his own ticking time limit.
While he flipped through the pages, he was multitasking, reading and listening.
Rose peeked back around the corner. Jeez, he's pale. Halen, check him. In her shadow, Halen focused for a moment. Human, strong.[/b] Rose nodded, then took a deep breath. She rounded the corner, pretending to not even notice the other person, mostly by keeping her eyes on the bookshelves. Halen tensed in her shadow. He felt a fight off in the distance. Every time Rose had found new people, there was a fight. Without fail. He sifted his spells, and examined the new guy's heart, trying to figure out his magic. The light in the man's heart raged with more intensity than that of a normal person. That could only mean that he used Light magic. Halen shivered. He didn't have an effective counter to light...

He hummed lowly before silently conducting connection; in a sense it was a personal heartless tracking mechanism, and for him it naturally searches for light, which he found. What made his brow quirked was the resonating darkness close with it. Glancing at the words of a few pages, he fluttered through the pages before closing it; he couldn't find it in himself to read like nothing was going on or he was alone, "Found the book you were looking for?"
Grey eyes glanced back at the book wanting to indulge himself more in it. He only read briefly about how every world had a heart, and with an opening of a door, it gave it expolsure to darnkess to shift it. Oh how greedy humanity can be to put lives and balance in jeopardy for power, which is also a life source? "If only there was a librarian to check it out for you."
"What's a librarian?" Rose asked without turning around. That was the only thing Rose could think to say. She had never been in a library of any kind, mostly because most books back home were used as a source of heat than as reading material. Besides, there was something off about this guy. Halen shivered for a moment. Human sense me... He had felt the slight touch of magic, kind of like a tap on the shoulder. Stay down, Halen. We don't know anything about this guy. I'm getting tired of near misses.

He wasn't expecting that question, but he wasn't one to judge another, "A librarian is one who pretty much keep a place like this, a library, in order as well as let people borrow books and set a time when they have to bring it back for others can read and enjoy it. Since there isn't one and if you found a book, it would be polite to return it."
Damien rose up from his seat to look for another book just for more universal information if there were any. The people on this world seemed to be aware of other planentary life, so a record or a book of univesal conenction didn't seem impossible to find here. Also he would like to see who he was talking to. To not leave anything behind, he picked his staff off the floor before strapping it on his back; he didn't plan to use it today, not in a library. He began to follow the sensation ebbing from the heart until finding the source in a short small figure.
"I take it the reading material isn't for the heartless."
"I take it the reading material isn't for the heartless."
Rose's eyes narrowed, and she shook her head. "No. I don't even know if he can read," she said, turning to face the stranger, and finding him much closer than before. She immediately took a step back, and her shadow rotated protectively, though Halen stayed down. He was feeling a little twitchy. People getting this close to his mistress was never a good thing. "I would appreciate it if you would stay of of my personal space. So, how did you know about Halen?"

"You named it." The question was stated as a statement of mild bewilderment, "Still a heart is a heart regardless of its composition. As long as its a heart, I can find it...eventually."
His eyes glanced at the ground to see the abnormal phenomenon of a shadow acting unnaturally. From observing their nature, there was never one to act in this fashion that he have noticed. It was an anomoly; although heartless weren't apart of his profession, it was still intriguing, "And how can you coexist with it so peacefully? Stereotypically, that would seem impossible."
He remembered Roth's animated reaction to a heartless, and noticed people's action differs. Some have a strong inner loathing and hatred, while others see them as suitable target practice for sport, which hit two birds with one stones of lessoning heartless' population.
It wasn't a question. Rose treated it like one anyways. "I didn't name him. That's what he calls himself."
"And how can you coexist with it so peacefully? Stereotypically, that would seem impossible."
Rose shook her head. "We have some kind of connection. It's called resonance. Our hearts are linked. I didn't get much else from that computer, though."
Rose's shadow shrank slightly as Halen relaxed. It seemed like a fight wasn't going to happen. Unless of course...

"Ties of the heart, you say," Damien hummed to himself thinking it over. It wasn't impossible, since evidence of it stood before him, but even people can get intertwined with one another.
That is quite unique in itself. I wonder how many just accept that fact through their heartless rampage
Hearing the question, Damien merely nodded his head. He indulged himself in guessing what kind of heartless was it. He was still educating himself in their difference since some wore a signature, while others do not. Those that bore a label were more common to cross by these days, so it wouldn't surprise him if it was a heartless commonly native to Radiant Garden roaming around.
“That would be one way to put it. Far as I know, it means the same thing. Course, I have no idea what it means.” She shrugged, and snapped her fingers. Halen rose from her shadow, a 2d picture becoming 3d reality. The white lines on his body wavered slightly, reacting to the light in Damien. Halen tilted his head to the side like a dog, looking curiously at the human. “This is Halen.”

"I see," Damien replied looking at heartless. No he never seen a heartless like him, and as his eyes roamed he didn't see the emblem in plain sight like the norm. Also what's unusual were the white lines adorning its frame; he would've asked about it, but seeing that the young girl hardly knew her link with the heartless, he didn't want to throw another confusing curveball. Odd enough he knew the name of the heartless, but not the maiden's. "For a more just introduction, I'm Damien."
Excusing himself momentarily, he walked around them to gaze at the bookshelf skimming through them. "Oh yes for clarification, resonance is sometimes called a mutual relationship and understanding between a party. As for you and Halen, I would say it just means you too are linked to understand one another despite the bondaries of differences between you both. You can say it's quite a phenomenon, not many people connect with heartless so."
He glanced at them momentarily before going back to his skimming, "Perhaps Halen have more to do with it. He named himself, distinguish himself as a he, and many would think that...the norm hardly function close to that, with an identity and all..."
"I doubt it's because he picked me. In fact, he tried to kill me at first. I doubt that there is anyone who has connected with a Heartless." She left that hanging out in midair. If he wanted to know he could ask. "I'm Rose."She held out her hand.
