In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

He watched as Hero pulled out a greyish coloured crowbar from under his cloak and readied himself for the oncoming Heartless. "He looks like he can put up a decent fight, which is useful." Vapor then turned his attention back to the Shadows that were slowly approaching their position, sinking in and out of the ground as they came. "I guess I'll start this off then." He thought as he reached out in front of him and started to form a small sphere of water.
After a couple seconds, it had finished preparing, and he unleashed it on the nearest Heartless in an attempt to destroy it. The sphere hit it's target, destroying the Shadow, and dispersed on impact. "One down.." He thought, "Lets hope the rest are that easy." He watched them creep forward and held his daggers out, readying himself for the rest of the attackers to arrive.

Hero stared momentarily as Vapor flung an orb of water at a heartless. He would have asked how he did it, but alas, the lingering problem still stood as more and more shadows began to appear. Citizens in that district pulled away, leaving the shadow's to turn their attention towards Hero and Vapor, along with a few Soldiers in the midst of black and yellow.
Hero forsaw great danger, but couldn't see a way around it. He could run away, of course, but Vapor would be close to helpless by himself, due to the fact that he was both unable to move and unable to construct his water spheres at a rate close enough to fend the heartless off. Hero gulped, steadied his hands, and struck a nearby heartless on its head with the edge of the crowbar, feeling the familiar squishing sound and the noise of dissapearing when the heartless rolled backwards and dissolved into black smoke.
Although the group was not large, more soldiers began to appear. Cursing inwardly, Hero swung and sliced through many, but it was as if they were water, splashed away only to be replaced with more. Taking a deep breath, he readied himself by extending his right palm out to the crowd of heartless, his left hand limp with the crowbar in his hand. As they approached, Hero mustered all the strength he could and used the power of Kinesis - whereas a great, invisible force of matter spread-shot like a shotgun in the group, causing many to be blown away. Hero steadied his breath. It took, usually, great effort to blow away a group of heartless in that size. However, there was no time to celebrate - around 2 minutes was all Hero and Vapor had at the moment.
"While their distracted, I think we'll have to make a run for it," said Hero, keeping his voice rational. "Hold on to me for a moment, I'll take us to saftey." Unsure of his tactics, he hoisted Vapor on to his back. Surprisingly, he was light, but the heartless were recuperating. He had no choice but to turn and go in the other direction as fast as possible.
Vapor sat and watched as Hero attempted to fend off the seeminly endless stream of Heartless with his crowbar. He was making no progress because every time he defeated one, another spawned in it's place. This was not good. Vapor knew their only hope would be to run, but he was in no shape to do so, with his bad leg rendering him incapable of moving. "How are we going to get out of this.." He thought. At that very moment, Hero stopped and extended his hand out towards the Heartless. Unsure of Hero's intentions, Vapor watched on. Suddenly the group of Heartless were sent flying backwards as if hit by an invisible force.
As soon as the Heartless had been flung back, Hero turned to Vapor and said that they had to run while the Heartless were distracted. "Hold on to me for a moment, I'll take us to saftey." Vapor then got hoisted up onto Hero's back and then Hero started running in the complete opposite direction of where the Heartless were advancing from, which made sense. "You run. I'll watch your back." Vapor turned his head back to face the Heartless, keeping watch for any that were getting too close. "Where's he going to go from here? I suppose he's just going to run until we lose them."
As they began to run faster, the heartless gained more speed and numbers. It was as if their primary target was these two boys, for not many were stopping to cause mischief in the other areas of town. Radiant Garden's primary defense system turned out to be a bust also, leaving only 2 or 3 heartless out of the group, but replaced with more. The squad was not large, but was composed of, now, around half a dozen soldiers who looked more than capable of running after them, despite their constant flailing of the arms and stopping to run in circles every now and then.
Hero soon saw, in the distance, a dead end that they were being trapped into.
"Please sit tight for a moment" said Hero bracingly.
This is to say, Hero was used to scaling walls using the edge of his crowbar to latch on to free bricks, but not in a rush and fear of constant assault from heartless. Nevertheless, Hero managed to hoist himself up the wall, the crowbar acting as some form of a mountain-climbing pick-axe. Finally reaching the edge, he pulled himself up, let Vapor down, and peered over the edge. The soldiers were peering back at him malevolently, some running around in circles, apparently still caught in the excitement of the chase. Hero let out a breath and sat down.
A teenager, almost at the age of adulthood, sat on a parapet above them, looking down from the concrete wall. His dark boots kicked lightly against the wall as he examined the two newcomers. The boy's afce held slight mischief while his eyes twinkled with good humor. The boy brushed his dark brunette hair from his awfully feminine face and chuckled. His dark blue eyes seemed to glow as he did. "I'm guessing you're having Heartless troubles."
Ever since Leon left, Synthest had noticed a great change in the defenses of Radiant Garden. Number one, it had no chance of keeping out the higher Heartless or Nobodies. Number two, it had a hard time keeping up with too many Heartless. The Claymores only did so much good, seeing as about a maximum of two could activate at one time. Syn was guessing that whatever program was running them was battling Heartless internally as well. The teen put his right hand to his chin, his jacket sleeve falling to reveal metal veins running beneath his skin. "Need any help? I'm kinda bored."
The fact was, Syn was over twenty years old. The parasitic Heartless that contaminated his right arm had stopped his body from aging. It was a bittersweet relationship, giving him the gift of life while also sapping away his strength and energy in times of hunger. The boy who loved to laugh had a dark past, and a dark secret. A darker personality hidden underneath his smile. Yet not a glimmer of Darkness shone beneath those eyes. He lept from the wall and hit the ground gracefully, holding his arm out. "Help?"
Vapor let out a sigh of relief as Hero set him down on the top of a well he just scaled to escape the Heartless. He peered down over the edge to see a group of Soldiers and a few Shadows waiting below, either staring back up or running around, wanting the two boys to go back down. At that moment Vapor heard an unknown voice, a voice that came from above. He looked up and saw a teenage boy sitting on a parapet looking down on them. The stranger chuckled and said "I'm guessing you're having Heartless troubles." This was true, Vapor and Hero were having Heartless troubles.
The boy put his hand up to his face, revealing metal veins under his skin, and then asked if they needed help. Vapor looked up, past the stranger, to the sky and thought; "We could do with some help and he wants to give it." He turned back the to boy and took him up on is kind offer; "Yeah, thanks."
Hero was beat. He didn't know who this person was, but Vapor trusted him, so why shouldn't he?
Yet, Hero felt some form of uncanny dishonesty and mischeif beneath those boring eyes of this newcomer, something Hero had obtained from staying in a place so filled with darkness for an extended period of time, though, he didn ot know this.
Trying to clear away his uncertainty, Hero stood up, brushed off his pants, and let a welcoming smile embrace his features.
"How can you help?"
