In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The stone wall was surprisingly smooth. It looked delicately ancient, and yet, it could still support the blue-haired boy who was sitting on it. Radiant Garden was composed of a lot of these stone structures, so it was hard choosing a place to eat lunch. So, naturally, he decided to choose the very highest wall.
Taking a moment to digest the scenery of the numerous, dull-colored houses, buildings, and rushing people below, the boy took out a small sack and removed of it the weight of a water bottle, some cheese, and half a loaf of bread. It seemed pitiful, but this meal was his most favorite when working in shifts. Being an errand boy throughout a number of worlds, it was his job to deliver products to certain people, gather information, and research certain topics for the company he worked for.
Hero ripped a portion of cheese and took a small bite, some bread to go with it. Chewing slowly, he let his feet dangle off of the edge of the large, stone wall. Radiant Garden was nice due to the fact that so many buildings in the town had roofs that made it easy to make it from place to place. However, Hero didn't really see anything radiant about it. Sure, it had a pleasant, jovial mood, but he didn't - couldn't really feel it. He monotonously continued his lunch, awaiting on an inspiration of how to spend the rest of his day.

Vapor was wondering alone through the streets of Radiant Garden looking for something to do and, as usual, he could not find anything remotely interesting to pass time. As he walked along he was practicing his magic, creating smalls spheres of water out of water vapor in the air, known to him as Aqua Spheres, and then letting them disperse back into the air.
He passed through the same scenery he'd been looking at for the past year; the same buildings, the same people, the same sky.
Weaving through the few people that were walking the street, he noticed something slightly unusual, a blue haired boy sitting up on a high wall eating his lunch. Vapor ignored this because the boy did not look in need of help and Vapor was not looking for conversation, and passed below him to continue his search.
Absentmindedly, Hero continued to eat - half of his lunch was already finished. Chewing softly, as if there was nothing in his mouth at all, Hero stared bleakly into the distance. This world was so vast, yet, there were three others just like it - like three different planets he could visit at will. His current gummi ship was incapable of traveling much further, so Hero longed ever so longingly to see what was in the outside world, but kept it to himself.
While he was in the pretense of his wishful thinking, Hero's remaining slice of cheese fell off the edge of the stone structure. Instinctively, Hero jumped after it - then thought why. Nevertheless, Hero caught the cheese, but was still falling. Reaching into his draped cloak - a rather pitiful substitute for a jacket, Hero pulled out his crowbar and slammed it against the side of the wall. A shower of golden sparks fell as the crowbar's steel edge scarred the wall with a single, long, burning scratch. Hero's falling speed gradually decreased, and soon, it would be already to let go until suddenly, the crowbar hooked on to a free, sticking out portion of stone, and so, both boy and crowbar fell a number of meters on to a light-blue hair colored young boy. The position was not as bad as the collision - Hero brought his head up in confusion, the dust gathering around the space he fell, both his vision and his consiousness wavered unsteadily. He shook his head to try and clear the stars that kept crowding his vision, stashed his crowbar, and was going to amble back to his eating place when it came to him why he wasn't dead from the fall.
"Are you alrigh-?"
Hero drew back. The answer to that question was obvious. He tried again, extending a hand of help - originally meant to help him stand if he needed too, but to Hero, it seemed like he would need to use it to feel his pulse.
"I'm so sorry! Can you stand?" Hero's voice was no longer high-pitched and squeaky from the scrambled bruise in his head. His voice was now full of anxious worry, but elegant and was reminiscently british.
Vapor lay on the ground in a crumpled heap in great pain. "What the hell was that? Was his first though but realized that was the least of his worries. His main worry was whether or not he could stand up or even move. After being hit with that much force he was surprised he was alive. That's when he heard a voice: "Are you alrigh-?" The voice stopped before it had finished and instead apologized and asked if he could stand.
Vapor groaned as he managed to lift himself onto his hands and knees. His arms seemed fine but he was not so sure about his legs. He attempted to stand but with no success; his left leg buckled and he fell straight back onto his hands and knees. He shouted out in agony. Vapor looked up toward where he heard the voice from and saw the same boy who was sat on the wall eating his lunch. He must have fallen and crushed Vapor. He saw the boy had his hand stretched out in order to help Vapor, so he quickly grabbed it. "Thanks.."
Even though the boy had just caused Vapor a lot of pain, he was slightly grateful for creating something interesting in his day, curing his boredom.

"Er.."
Hero saw that the person couldn't stand very well. He wondered faintly wether he would need a hospital or not. Then he remembered that he didn't hear anything crackle or break, so it must have just been a major bruise of some sort. Abandoning his cheese, Hero managed to life the boy to a standing position, but leaning slightly on him for support. His left leg seemed kind of wobbly, and the boy looked pained, yet, Hero could see something else. Some form of happiness or relief? Hero attempted to hoist the boy's right arm around his shoulder.
"I'm really sorry - can I help you get some medical attention?"
The boy lifted Vapor up and helped him stand. The boy offered to take Vapor somewhere for medical help, "Not now, thanks." He wanted to inspect the damage for himself first. "Help me to that bench." He said, pointing to a nearby bench. A seat would give him a chance to fully inspect the scale of his injuries.
Whilst standing, Vapor kept trying to put weight on his left leg, it could withstand a small amount but buckled quite quickly. "This boy may have caused me pain but at least he's helping me. He seems like a nice guy, maybe he is worth a conversation." Vapor thought, which was good because it looked like he was going to have to converse with this boy whether he wanted to or not.

Hero led boy to bench, with an increasing awareness that his legs might buckled again under the pressure. After setting him down, Hero felt considerably stupid, but curious also. Right before he landed, the very same boy was making small blue balls of water float. However, he felt now wasn't really the time to be asking about such things.
"Do you need any help?" Hero said - then paused for a moment, removing his odd headphones and placing them on his shoulders, then added, "That I can get for you?"
The pale, violet eyes bore into the boy's. Some say his were slightly freaky, other said it was just bland, because Hero virtually had no pupils - just a large portion of blue and purple shades with a barely unnoticable pair of small, black dots in the center of each.
As the boy set Vapor down gently onto the bench, Vapor let out a small sigh of relief as his weight was now off his feet and the boy's shoulders once more. Vapor bent over and pulled is trouser leg up a bit and inspected the area of pain, which was just below his knee, but found no visual marks. "I doubt it's broken. It could take some weight." He thought to himself. At that same moment, the boy asked him if he needed any help and quickly added "That I can get for you?"
Vapor took a few seconds to see if he could think of any assistance he required, beside the obvious; helping him walk, and thought of nothing so he jsut answered "Catch me if I fall."
He then took a deep breath and took his chances of standing again, only for his leg to buckle causing him to fall right back to where he was originally sitting. "It seems I'm getting nowhere fast." After the failed attempt at standing, Vapor turned to the boy and asked "Your name?" He might as well know the name of his surprise arial injurer.

"Your name?"
Now things got uncomfortable. Hero usually had no problem introducing himself, but whenever he told people his name was "Hero" he always felt like something was supposed to follow after it. Thanks to his scrambled memories, though, he was unable to recall much more, and therefore, left him feeling considerably stupid everytime he did so. Nevertheless:
"Ah, yes, the name of your leg predator is known as Hero." said he, sitting down next to him. A dance of a smile appeared on the very edge of his lips. "He'd like to know your name also, if you would be so kind.
"Vapor." He turned to Hero and gave him a quick look over. "Hero.. It somehow fits him." But now what were they going to do. He couldn't stand and it didn't seem like he was going to be able to any time soon, so they were either going to sit there and talk or Hero was going to have to help Vapor up and take him somewhere.
"So how did this happen?" Vapor asked him. "There better be a decent reason for him removing my ability to walk."

"Well, its nice to meet your acquaintance. It just so happens that a portion of my lunch fell off my peculiar eating spot, so I went to get it."
Hero now sat rather uncomfortably in his seat. He wasn't usually very clumsy, but this was a special case - meaning that it concerned his food. Hero briefly wondered where that small chunk of yellow cheese went. Then he realized that the person would probably be angry with him.
"So he jumped. Idiot." Who would jump from that height? Especially if it was only for a piece of food. Vapor looked at Hero and noticed he looked really down, "It's fine, don't worry about it." He told him in an attempt to cheer him up, even if it was just a little bit.
Vapor attempted to stand again but it resulted in the same failure as the previous time; his leg buckling and him falling back down into his seat. "So now what?"
Post by untitled01 on Apr 15, 2011 20:34:18 GMT -4
So now what?
Hero was the one usually asking himself this question. Absentmindedly, he tried to make his hair flat using his palm. As usual, his attempts were in vain.
"Well, do you have a home somewhere here? I'll help you there. If you want me to, that is." he added quickly.
Hero was used to being, though endlessly polite, unnaturally fearfull of some of the residents of the worlds he went to, due to the fact that the company he worked for was rumored to be evil and plotting - he was the company's best worker, so he was considered an outsider. A lot of people looked at Hero like he was some sort of giant slug as they passed by. Feeling grateful that the boy hadn't run away from one look on his face, he was glad to help vapor out in any way he could.
"My home is too far from here." Vapor leant forward, resting his elbows on his knees and his chin in palms. He looked up to the sky and thought about what to do; "It probably isn't too far, but I don't want him to go through the trouble of getting me there. I suppose sitting here until I can at least walk is the best option for now."
He leant back on the bench, contemplating whether he should try to stand or not. He decided he had nothing to lose and stood up. Putting almost all his weight on his right foot, he was able to stand, but this weight distribution was not ideal for walking so Vapor attempted putting more weight on his left leg but this resulting in his leg, once again, buckling and him falling to the bench. At the very moment he hit the bench, he noticed something out the corner of his eye. He looked over and saw exactly what he was dreading to appear at this moment in time: Heartless. It may have only been a few Shadows but it was not the best time for them to turn up. Vapor pulled out Hyd and Ro, his two daggers, and spun them round his fingers. "Hero. Look." He said whilst looking over at the Heartless.

"Look"
The very last and final thing that Hero might have needed now was Heartless. He had never really considered heartless a massive threat in the worlds he visited - just appearing every now and then to cause mischeif, but Hero compared their presence to the signifigance of a 10 year old pranksters. However, the look in the small, black creature's eyes were filled with Malice. This wasn't very gratifying.
Vapor pulled out weaponry. That was a relief. Well, to Hero, it would be if he could still stand. His recent attempt to stand had just failed, but was halfway there, so Hero guessed he was recovering. Meanwhile, though, the heartless crawled closer, disappearing into a 2-dimensional zone on the stone ground every now and then to pick up speed.
As if on instinct, Hero reached into the depth of his robe and unraveled a long, slender, steel-grey crowbar. Not knowing wether Vapor was defending himself at present or making himself appearing to the heartless in a manner that was threatening enough to make them flee.
"Well, I think I can be useful now."
Hero gripped the base of the crowbar tightly. Suddenly, a rush of something flooded into his veins. It wasn't really adrenaline as it was just unfamiliar fear, as if he had experienced this somewhere before in his life. Suddenly, a picture flashed through his head. The face of a terrifying beast lunging towards him... his heartrate suddenly increased. Hero fought to not let his hands shake as the beings came closer. A few stopped to push a few passing citizens malevolently.
