In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Once outside, she placed her hands on her head, and said, "Vayne, I'm about to do something a little scary. Don't worry, and don't be afraid." She stepped away from him, and stopped repressing the energy release. Huge arcs of red electricity shoot out of her, and her aura surged to fifteen feet as she tried to burn off the excess. Her anger at what she saw in that club was above and beyond anything that had broken her before, but she had to hold it together for her Oto-kun...

Vayne didn't know why she said it was going to be scary. To him, it just looked like a very pretty light show. Of course, that dark purple aura was a tad concering, but Vayne had already decided that Onee-chan was one of the best people around. However, when he began to feel the nausea in the pit of his stomach, he knew that her performance was attracting a bad crowd.
"Heartless..." he said.
He summoned up his glaive, trying to prepare for the oncoming attack. What turned up was more than he had been expecting. Ten Shadows and five Red Nocturnes had turned up to feed on the energy his sister had just expended.
"We have company!" Vayne said, trying to alert Onee-chan to the danger.
That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Her eyes glowed red, and she went down to all fours, like an animal. The overriding command left behind by her conscious mind was PROTECT VAYNE. Her body acting on that, springing into the air, Chaos blades sprouting from both arms. She slashed through three of the aerial Heartless, and, snarling, cut down two Shadows. She hissed, and charged again, leaping for the other two Nocturnes...

Vayne silently cheered on his big sister as she cut through Heartless like an old schoolteacher cuts through self-esteem. Vayne didn't want to have her do all the work, but he couldn't think of what to do.
"I sure hope this works..." Vayne muttered.
He began to gather energy into the blade of his glaive. More and more, and he began to feel it draining his own strength. His nausea began to increase at a slow but steady rate. Finally, Vayne couldn't keep going.
"Light Blade!" he yelled.
He made a slashing motion towards a cluster of the Shadows circling Onee-chan. As Vayne fell to his knees, he saw that of the eight Shadows he could have hit, six were now evaporating into the air.
His victory cheer was cut short, though, when the two remaining Shadows took notice of Vayne and his weakened state. They began to focus on him, antennae twitching as the lurched forward a coupl steps at a time.
She turned, hearing Vayne, and grabbed the last two Heartless, smashing them together in a puff of smoke. She stared at Vayne. There was something... familiar about him... she tilted her head to the side, and sniffed. She smelled apples. The darkness dimmed somewhat as she stared at her beloved Oto-kun.
Vayne looked up at Onee-chan from his position on the ground. At least she seemed to be feeling better. He was, on the other hand, feeling weak and needed to rest.
"Onee-chan... I need to lay down for a bit..." he said.
He pointed off to a small alleyway that terminated in a strange door covered in markings. On the door was a large fire symbol.
"You just gotta shoot it with fire in order to open it," he said.
Vayne was trying his hardest to hold onto consciousness as he recovered from using such a difficult magic attack. He breathed heavily as he tried to calm down his tensed muscles and slow his breathing.
Xaoc tilted her head, as she heard a strange rushing sound... There was a voice... It sounded like... her? What was she saying? ...Vayne? She blinked, and the Chaos died off. She stood slowly, the aura leaving her, her eyes returning to normal. "Vayne? Come on, sweety," she said, picking him up, and leaning him against her shoulder. "Chaos Punishment," she murmured, and the aura returned weakly, as the Chaos bolsterd her flagging strength. She held him easily now, and together, they confronted to door. She didn't have fire magic, like VAyne had said was needed, and she didn't want to just break the door in, so she gently awoke the boy. "Oto-kun, I can't do fire. Can you open the door?" she asked.

"Onee-chan..." Vayne all but gasped, "I... I can't do magic for a while... I'm just so tired..."
Vayne's muscles were screaming with fatigue, as though he had been doing laps around all of Traverse Town. Doing Light magic always took a lot out of him, but since he'd just been performing, he'd been less energetic than normal.
Still, it wasn't all bad; Onee-chan had been able to let off some steam by fighting. She'd clearly needed it; maybe it was the stress of being in a new and unfamiliar place that had been causing her to feel aggravated. Either way... Now they had no way into the Zero District, and were currently in the worst part of Traverse Town.
"Right..." Xaoc forwned at the door. Was it attuned to a specific type of magic or, just to heat energy? She heard a squeak behind her, and turning, saw another of the floating red Heartless. Smiling, she leapt up, and snatched it out of the air. Pinting it's front away from herself at the door, she squeezed it until it began to struggle. It shot fire, trying to make her release it, but instead, the fire hit the door. She smiled, and knocked the little Heartless silly against the wall. She would let it live, since it had been so helpful. She gathered her new little brother into her arms, and they walked through the doorway. It closed after the passed, and the Nocturne floated away, dizzier then hell. It didn't quite know what had happened, but that was the last time it attacked someone with crazy hair.
Inside, Xaoc looked around. it was an open topped cave, with a small island in the middle of a calm lake. There were even stepping stones placed for traveler use across the lake. But as she neared them, they began to move. She frowned, and watched them for the pattern she knew was there. Normally, something like this would have stumpedher, but she was still running on Chaos energy, and she hopped easily across the moment she could. She reached the house. "Vayne, we're here."

Vayne nodded and began to lead Onee-chan towards the side of the house. The front was all boarded up for some reason. There was, however, a door-sized hole in the side of the house that one could use to enter and exit.
"Well, here we are..." Vayne said. "I'm... I'm just gonna go lay down..."
Vayne went over to the assortment of blankets he'd set up as a makeshift bed, and lay down. He set his head on the pillow he'd bought only yesterday, and allowed himself to slip off into a restoring slumber.
Xaoc sat next to him. She didn't know what she was going to do with this little kid, but something told her she would always be a part of his life. And she was fine with that. She closed her eyes, and the little bit of chaos left slipped gently away. She slept comepletely peacefully that night, for the first time in years... (exit Xaoc)
