In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A few days in Traverse Town had slowly turned to a few weeks for Yuffie, and she was getting ready to leave. Her Gummi Ship was all packed, and she had just fired up, when she heard the screams and roars...
Grabbing her shiruken and opening the door the her Gummi Ship, she looked out and saw the source of the commotion. Something big was in the Third District, and was causing commotion like no other time before. As she jumped out, ninja star in hand, she flipped off a window ledge and onto a roof, seeing the source of the problem.
A large Heartless was chasing a group of citizens, already have injured a few, and was looking to do it again. With a yell, Yuffie's hand turned a deep yellow color, then lightning fell from the sky, hitting the Heartless and turning its attention towards her.
Or at least where she was. After the attack, she had teleported behind it and had jumped on its back, grabbing onto it with one hand while placing the other on its leg, casting a Firaga spell. The Heartless roared in pain, bucking. This sent Yuffie flying, but she jumped off the wall and landed upright.
She couldn't do this alone, however.

Ariana shook her hair back as she stepped down from her gummi ship. It was time to see if she could find out anything more about the third district and Hero. Reluctant though she was to leave Twilight Town, her curiosity got the better of her - it always did. The very moment she reached the ground, a barrage of shrieks greeted her, accompanied by a loud roar.
Ah yes, chaos at first step. Ariana didn't know whether she was tired or getting used to it - either way, she had to do the right thing. Pulling Grace to her hand, she calmly walked with a slight flourish amongst the other people that were running past here instead. The sudden rush of people came from the door leading to the third district - again. Godamn that district.
Mildly annoyed now, Ariana tried a more offensive approach. Delivering a fierce kick to a bent and broken bench, she managed to break it and pulled it off the ground. Gently sending them upwards, she slapped them each hard with Grace, and they hit the large target in the face. Enraged more then ever, it promptly changed direction and charged towards Ariana. Oh, crap.
As she dodged another attack from the Heartless, her shiruken drew back and glowed, expanding in size. She saw it turn towards another girl, and threw the star, using her power to cast Fuma Shiruken and expand it. With a wide arc, the star managed to strike the horn of the beast, earning Yuffie a roar. As her shiruken returned to her hand, she ran up the nearest wall onto the rooftop, then jumped down next to the other girl, Blizzaga at the ready.
"Need some backup? I've never fought one of these before." The ninja didn't look at the other girl, but rather raised her hand in front of her face, two fingers up. With a white puff of smoke, four Yuffie clones appeared, and she then made a motion as if throwing something at the feet of the Heartless, causing a large black cloud to blind it. As it roared in anger, she cast her Blizzaga spell, then stepped back to recharge, her clones at the ready.
And then she planned.

Raising Grace in preparation of a hard assault, she started when the girl expanded her already overlarge shuriken and hurled it at the Heartless's horn. It didn't like that at all. She somehow ended up next to Ariana. "Need some backup? I've never fought one of these before."
Ariana couldn't help but smirk slightly. "Neither have I, and I highly doubt any of us could finish it off on our own.." She watched as the girl split into five, and she hurled a blast of frigid ice at the Heartless. It reeled back, looking as though it was about to buckle from all the hits. Taking a quick step forward, she jumped lightly across the clones and towards the Heartless.
To her surprise, the Heartless instead raised its head and suddenly saturated the area with huge blasts of bolts. Keeping her eye trained on the sky, she dodged each until she reached the Heartless. She paid too much attention to the sky however, and the Heartless swatted her into the wall easily. Grunting with pain, her not quite recovered sides began to ache again. Deciding to stick to attacking from afar, she launched brick after brick, aiming at the horn.

((Just a note, Fire, Blizzard and Thunder magic do mininum damage to the Behemoth. According to canon, it's immune to them... but eh, I don't feel like having a boss with such immunities. Also, apologies if Nadia's constant swearing annoys any of you, but she (or her muse) is quite pissed at the moment, lawl.))
"Son of a bitch."
A gigantic Heartless had apparently begun striking out of nowhere... again. It didn't surprise her; the sight didn't paralyze her with fear and it certainly didn't activate her innate survival instincts. That stage had already affected Nadia long ago, and, frankly, she didn't feel anything more than pure annoyance.
But seriously, how long had she been living in Traverse Town? Three, almost four months. And how many large-scale attacks had she gotten herself into? Four. First came that gigantic Frollo asshat of a lizard, intending to eat her, mister flowery pink man, mister badass magician, mister wannabe badass magician and that kickass blonde (who, by the way, was quite hot). Then, after fleeing to the not-so-safe Third District, they were welcomed by a Heartless orgy and their Darkside and Behemoth kings. That time mister badass magician had quickly rushed to their aid and done the dirty work, but now he was nowhere to be seen.
Time for The Behemoth Reprise.
She sighed, tucking a strand of stray violet hair behind her ear. The smartest thing to do in this case would probably be escaping and leaving the Third District, but she wasn't going to do that for two simple reasons. In the first place, she had been hired to slay the beast (or at least to distract it for a while), and the pay was quite juicy. Second, there was a kid down there; sure, she had moves and could decently play hero, but that big shuriken of hers wasn't going to help much in this case.
Oh, but what about that woman with the fan? God, who in their right mind chose a damned fan as weapon?! The duo needed a third wheel to start rolling, and, fortunately for them, Nadia Verdansky was there to help.
"Hey, you two!" she called, glancing down at them for a moment. One of her hands rested on her hip and the other held a deadly fragmentation grenade. It didn't take long for her to give the Heartless her full attention; she would lecture and deal with Hawkgirl and Elektra later. "Step away! Quickly, move!"
Amethyst eyes still fixed on the Behemoth, she pulled the pin off with her teeth and threw the grenade at the creature. Fortunately for Nadia, the gigantic little orbs of darkness had stopped falling from the sky and she had a clear opening to its horn.
"Beep... beep... beep... BOOOM!"
She jumped off the plataform, looking up to admire her work.
Charming.

As Yuffie saw the small object fly through the air at the Heartless, she jumped back and landed next to the fan girl, already making the hand sign for a Reflera spell. The aura of light surrounded both of them as the grenade exploded, and the Heartless reeled back in pain, knocking over another lamppost in its vulnerable state. Seeing her chance, Yuffie lowered her shield and rushed the Heartless, jumping off its shoulder and onto its back, then proceeding to stab the horn with her shiruken, feeling it lodge in.
As the beast reeled once again, she was forced to flip off, leaving her shiruken in its horn. As she jumped back, her clones went into action, proceeding to jump around and confuse the Heartless as to which was the real her.
Yuffie stopped near the new girl for a second, looking her over, before saying, "Appreciate the help. It's going down now!" Then she hopped off, running on the wall alongside two of her clones. She then jumped, and her copies followed suit, landing on the beast's back. As she ran towards the horn, her other images distracted the beast, and she pulled her shiruken free, earning one more roar of pain and a violent shake that caught her off guard, throwing her onto a rooftop.
Ariana stared, bemused as Miss Shuriken raised a large barrier around both of them, blurring the outside slightly. A grenade slammed into the Heartless's horn, and it detonated with a massive bang. It was clear now - the horn was the Heartless's weak point, which meant they needed to smack that area hard. The barrier dissipated, and Ariana ran forward as Miss Shuriken stabbed the horn. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at the other people running - Men. Quite unreliable. She stopped a little ways from the Heartless - close range attacks were out of the question, she would be flung away before she could land more then two hits. She eyed a broken wall, which looked like it was on the verge of collapsing. Meh. Why not. Concentrating, she raised Grace and began sending brick after brick in a rapid-fire fashion, trying to aim them at the horn - but it was rather hard to snipe when your target was huge and running around.
N A D I A V E R D A N S K Y "I GOT A REASON THAT YOU'RE WHO SHOULD TAKE ME HOME TONIGHT"
"Yeah, you better appreciate my help. I won't be able to save you twice, hun." Struggling to keep her sharp tongue in check, she simply nodded at the girl and gazed back at the giant, trying to concentrate on their enemy instead. Yes, their enemy; the lone mercenary was now being introduced to a very important technique: teamwork. Like any other hunter, the woman usually worked alone, fought alone, ate alone... you get the point.
Had she tried hanging around with others? Sure, but most of the time she had ended up with people that were either arrogant, incompetent, or just plain stupid. She still remembered the day that foolish ginger had tried to impress her by charging against a mob of Red Nocturnes... with a flamethrower.
And guess what? She had to save his ass.
Verdansky clicked her tongue, drawing out Opal, her trusted blaster, to do her job. However, as she observed little Elektra jumping around the Heartless, an idea suddenly struck her. Not wasting any time, she quickly approached their lovely geisha who was busy throwing bricks at the Behemoth. Apparently that fan could actually be helpful and deal some damage.
"Could you distract him? I feel like dancing on our dear bull friend's head." And she was off, making her way through the district with haste. If the enemy kept trying to smash the ninja, and if the other woman was actually smart and did as she was told, perhaps the huntress would be able to execute her plan. It wasn't long before she reached the Heartless and, watching as it tried to shake off the girl, the mercenary quickly saw her chance.
She leaped, landing on the monster's thigh just in time to avoid the shockwave it had produced. The woman smirked, rapidly climbing Mount Behemoth and reaching its Achilles's Heel.
((Random Number Generator for Freezing Status: 6. Fuck yeah >O!))
"Hasta la vista... baby." Smiling, she aimed her pistol at the giant's horn and pressed the trigger.
A loud roar filled the area as a cold stream of ice collided with the Heartless's horn. It didn't take long for it to start shaking, wanting the woman off his head. The mercenary quickly ceased the attack and tightly clinged to the now frozen horn, but the beast just wouldn't yield and let itself be tamed. After a few moments of struggling, she started to lose her grip and, out of instinct, released Opal from her grasp, now being able hold onto that damn horn for her dear life with both hands. She bit her bottom lip, now finding herself face-to-face against the Behemoth. Relying completely on her instincts, she shouted at the monster.
"It's Nadia fucking Verdansky... bitch!" And she kicked it square in the eye, letting the horn go and landing on the floor. The woman didn't even look up as she quickly seized her gun, put it away and attempted to cartwheel away.

N A D I A V E R D A N S K Y "I NEED A MAN THAT THINKS IT'S RIGHT WHEN IT'S SO WRONG"
Looking to see the other girl jump on the Behemoth, she cheered out in joy as the attack connected, but slowly began to have a worried face when the Behemoth faced her. a deep yellow aura around its horn. She slowly began to back up, wondering how the creature knew she was the real one, then turned and broke into a full run, her clones disappearing as she focused her powers.
But she didn't turn in time, for the Behemoth released the spell it had been charging for the past while. The Thundaja spell loosed, and immediately homed on the ninja, hitting her body and sending a jolt throughout it, causing her to go into spasms. She dropped, crying out in pain, as the thunder-element spell arced to the other two girls. As for Yuffie, she stopped convulsing and lost a hold on her shiruken, and barely had enough strength to look over at the other girls.
"F...Firaga..."
As she raised her hand at the Heartless, her will emrged with mana and shot a large fireball, which came into contact with the Behemoth and knocked it back a ways. Then, Yuffie's eyes shut, the smile still on her face-the smile of triumph.
Agh, compared to the other two females, she was becoming rather useless. She halted her harmless slinging of bricks as grenade girl passed by. "Could you distract him? I feel like dancing on our dear bull friend's head." Ah! Distraction. Running swiftly across the strewn bricks, she watched as Miss Cursalot flash froze and injured one of the Heartless's eye.
It wasn't enough - a stream of darkness was running down the kicked eye, but it turned to face Miss Shuriken. Hastily switching direction, she was to prevent the Heartless from releasing the biggest Thunder yet- electrifying Miss Shuriken completely. Cursing her incompetent genes, she used her little wind magic in store to propel herself to Miss Shuriken's side, easily dodging the side-arcs of the lightning.
How did Mom do it again..oh yeah.. Nervously kneeling down, she yelled at Miss Cursalot - "Do you have anything recovery-like?" She lightly pressed a hand to Miss-S's stomach, and yelped when a spark of lightning conducted through her hand. Sighing, she carefully pressed her other hand and began rubbing Miss-S all over, the lightning shocking Ariana back at every movement and touch. After a while, she noticed that the sparks issuing from Miss-S was gone, and she got up rather stiffly. Grace had dissipated yet again, and she didn't bother calling it back out. Stumbling slightly, she moved towards the equally stumbling Heartless. "Go-heal her, carry her out, or something." Ariana hissed as Miss Cursalot landed back on terra firm.
There's your lesby moment Shiro, I'm sure thats good enough >.> Just imagine where the hands went, and that should satisfy you enough :3
N A D I A V E R D A N S K Y "TONIGHT, YEAH BABY, TONIGHT, YEAH BABY"
Well, that had turned out quite well... at least for the mercenary. She had successfully frozen the monster's main source of power while risking her life in an attempt to seriously injure the creature, and Nadia had escaped from its grasp with barely a scratch. She couldn't help herself from grinning as she cartwheeled away; that would teach the Heartless not to mess with her again.
However, as she stopped and turned around once again, the woman realized that not everything was smiles, glitter and sparkles. The ice surrounding the Behemoth's horn cracked, shattering completely as a large number of lightning arcs traveled across the area. Sure, Verdansky was quite far from the main area of effect, but the young ninja had been caught off guard by the attack.
Just watching the girl lying wounded on the ground... it broke her heart for some reason. A sudden rush of memories traveled through her mind, forcing her to make a decision. Why should she risk her life for some careless brat, anyway? However, before she became aware of her actions, Nadia was running back into the battlefield in a desperate attempt to get Yuffie out of there.
"I have a couple of darts infused with potion, but they won't help much in this case." She replied, landing beside both women after dodging a stray lightning arc. This time, the mercenary drew out her second pistol, Obsidian, and equipped it with two healing darts before firing them at the ninja. "That's all I can do for now. She's probably stabilized by now thanks to that... technique of yours, but she won't wake up anytime soon. The girl sure is lucky; the ice around that horn drained some of the damage."
When the red head asked her to leave, however, Nadia immediately shook her head. "Hawkgirl, let's face it: you're exhausted. If you go and fight the Big Bad Wolf you'll end up just like her and I will have to drag your ass out of this too, and I just don't feel like doing that. So go on, take our ninja friend away and let me handle this."
Verdansky calmly stepped forward, facing the Behemoth that had caused so much trouble by now. Fortunately that fireball had confused it for a while, and the monster kept sending the remaining lightning arcs to the wrong spots. "Go! Now! Before it starts attacking again."
Eyelids fluttered as Yuffie came back to the world, feeling the small amount of healing coursing through her body. A hand curled, then opened again, and she looked over to see the other two females looking at her, concerned. Then she heard a roar from the Heartless and fear coursed through her body, making the heal run through her veins much faster. She turned over, wincing at the multitude of injuries from the electricity, and rose to a knee.
"Sorry about that, wasn't expecting an attack."
As she managed to get up, she looked to the stunned enemy, then saw her weapon on the ground next to her. As she leaned to pick it up, she pulled the darts out of her leg, the effect done, and stretched an arm real quick before fully assessing the situation.
"I believe now would be a good time for retreat."
Then, after saying that, a tremor wracked down her body and she dropped to one knee, panting.
Perhaps...if I can get some mana back, I can cure.
"Hawkgirl, let's face it: you're exhausted. If you go and fight the Big Bad Wolf you'll end up just like her and I will have to drag your ass out of this too, and I just don't feel like doing that. So go on, take our ninja friend away and let me handle this." And Ariana rolled her eyes. Conveniently, the Heartless was preoccupied to wipe the three of them out right there.
"I believe now would be a good time for retreat." And instead of fleeing, ninja dropped down on her knees. Miss Cursalot was telling the truth though - no way either of them could fight the Heartless without ending up as a liability. Grabbing the ninja under her arms, Ariana hurriedly half ran half dragged the girl - she couldn't help it, she was far too heavy to carry, or even walk properly with. A loud roar sped Ariana on her way.
N A D I A V E R D A N S K Y "IT'S HARD TO FEEL THE RUSH, TO PUSH THE DANGEROUS"
She looked up, staring deep into those big, round yellow eyes. What was she thinking?! The mercenary knew she wouldn't be able to defeat the monster on her own; she had already figured that out. Then why try to do so, anyway? Was it to buy the other girls enough time for them to escape? Was it to actually feel good about herself? Was it just to collect that cursed horn and claim her bounty?
Upon hearing the young ninja's voice, Nadia slightly turned to glance at her for a moment. Elektra certainly didn't look good; she was frail, tired and weak. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she looked at the other woman. They needed to get out of there now. The Heartless released a loud roar, its attacks now striking spots near the trio. It wouldn't be long before the Behemoth found itself capable of eliminating the females with ease.
"Off you go, I'll catch up with you two later." she said, trying to eliminate all source of doubt from their minds. This was her battle now, only her battle. Raising Obsidian once more, she fired eight ice trackers from her pistol and quickly carthwheeled away in an attempt to confuse her opponent. Their target? The horn. However she would drain one of Obsidian's elements soon, finding herself forced to change to either fire or thunder when the situation arrived.
