In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Olivia had spent the past few days in the zero district. Fighting heartless anytime she went out, which for obvious reasons wasn't much. She finnally had gotten fed up with the place and had sprinted for the first district and had gotten there almost completely untouched. Though she had a few scratches on her face. One of which was lightly bleeding so she kept wiping it with her sleeve.
She shouldered her gun which had covered her escape and walked top the center of the town square and glanced around. It was weird usually she was here with her father, but she was now here alone. She smiled, she didn't need to worry about wandering off anymore. There was no one to wander away from. It was a liberating feeling. She let out little giggle. She felt good, just randomly happy. It was exhilarating, she took out her munny, checking what she had, it was a surprisingly large amount. She hadn't expected to kill so many heartless but her gun was rather well suited to taking down groups of heartless or large bodies, they all fell rather easily. The hard part was running.
She skipped up to the stairs and took them two at time quickly, until she fell on the last one. She laid there for a second stunned. Maybe she was a bit to excited for just having ran away, She stood up and brushed the dirt off her knees. One of which was now skinned. It figured she would get her worst in jury by being clumsy "That's not fair, it like getting out of a falling house into a forest fire" she said aloud. She realized she must look weird but she was angry with herself for being so clumsy. It had ruined her happy moment. She sat down on a bench nearby examining her knee to make sure it was okay, not noticing the person sitting next to her at first.
Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a bit of movement and jumped when she realized there was another person on the bench "Oh sorry is anyone sitting here?"
Anil smiled as he looked around the First District of Traverse Town. After talking to Legato and his friends, it was decided that he would join them on their adventure to travel to different worlds. This excited him very much, but it was sort've sad. Afterall, Anil had just got to this world and already he would have to leave it. So to pass the time, the boy decided to explore the new foreign world; he had some time before he had to meet up with the others at the Gummi ship docks anyway so...why not? He was surprised by how so many people could fit in such a small area, it made him happy to see all those people walking about; but in a way it also made him nervous.
Anil was never really a people person, and so wasn't great with crowded spaces. Well it wasn't like he was gonna talk to any of these people, he was just here to explore but...he guessed making a friend wouldn't hurt. As he walked around, he was surprised by the Medicine Man's lack of appearance. 'Perhaps he's left me...' he thought sadly. Ever since he was little, the Medecine Man had always been there for him. In a way it irritated the boy, because he thought by letting the Medecine Man protect him he was showing a sign of weakness. And Anil thought he had grown majorily from when he was a child.
The boy let out a short sigh, by the time he looked up his eye's widened in surprised. It seemed while he was enwrapped within his own thoughts he accidently entered into the crowd, getting lost in between the thousands of people that walked by. Anil looked around wildly, trying to find his way out of the crowd. He began to feel nauseated as he continuously circled around, and accidentally numbed into a woman falling back just a little bit. "S-sorry!" he said apologetically. The woman gave him a inquisitive stare, and letting out a short "hmph!" walked around. Anil sighed, finally after a few minutes he found a path away from everyone and slowly walked over to a bench not to far away, seating down soon after.
He slumped over, holding his head in his hands. "Note to self...pay attention to where you are walking." At this the boy let out another sigh, soon after he lifted his head up the boy notice a girl come over to the bench and sit down right next to him. He turned his head to look at her; she was...really pretty. She had short hair that ran down her cheek, her eye's a bright blue. He looked to what she was looking at and realized that her knee was bleeding! Obviously she must've noticed then that he was there, cause just before he could ask if she was ok she looked up at him saying; "Oh sorry is anyone sitting here?" Anil shook his head, "No..." he replied, he looked down at her knee and giving her a worried look asked. "Are you ok?"
"No..." well that was good at least she wouldn't need to get up. Her knee really stung. She couldn't believe she had been so clumsy, she hadn't fallen up stairs in years. She felt so silly, at least no one had seen or been paying attention. That would've been so embarrassing. She flipped her hair out of her eyes, trying to get a better look at her little injury.
What she really needed was gauze or a band-aid, or even just a strip of clothing. She released her knife from the clamp on her leg wondering where she should cut the cloth from when "Are you ok?" she glanced at him. He was older than her. With green eyes and odd pupils. But her eyes stopped at his shirt, it seemed out of place especially when compared to his lack of color, in clothing and his pale skin.
It seemed like the shirt should have a skull on it or maybe a skeleton. But a rainbow? It brought a smile to her face despite her knee. "I'm fine I just tripped and fell" she said cutting a bit of cloth off the bottom of her left pant leg and tying it around her knee tightly, she winced as she tugged it to make sure it was tight and then made a knot. Making sure it would stay in place "See that should be fine as long as I'm careful." She then glanced at his face before looking back to her knee "So don't look so worried, your face makes it look like I lost my leg" she said happily. She swung her foot around a bit testing her makeshift bandage.
She rubbed her face, making sure none of those scratches had kept bleeding, after all they were barely big enough to be paper cuts. Shadows never did have good aim. "and whats your name" she said leaning back into the bench.
Anil was surprised by the girls enthusiasim despite her knee, her smile causing the boy to blush slightly. He watched as she cut a piece of cloth off the bottom of her left pant leg and tied it around her knee tightly. He noticed her wince as she tugged on it to make sure it was tight before making a knot. He was going to ask if she was ok, when she suddenly spoke. "See that should be fine as long as I'm careful." She said glancing at his face before looking back to her knee "So don't look so worried, your face makes it look like I lost my leg"she said happily.
The boy couldn't help but laugh at her comment, he nodded his head and giving her a small smile said. "Alright, sorry about that...I'm glad your ok though.." In a minute the boy's smile disappeared. The girl then asked for his name, which caught him off guard. He didn't think a complete stranger would do something like that, but then again...Anil didn't really know that much about what people did when talking to eachother. He looked at her blankly, and scratching the back of his head said in a soft tone. "Anil..." At this he looked up at the girl, and giving her another small smile added. "It's Anil...what's your's?"
He laughed that made his shirt a little more in place though she still thought a skull would look better. But at least she knew he wasn't a downer, that had been her first impression and she still wasn't completely sure she as wrong that could've just been a fluke. Or maybe he was just humoring the seeming lost little girl with a skinned knee. She glanced back at her knee blowing hair out of her eyes before looking back to Aniline "you need to stop saying sorry you didn't do anything wrong you know" she said matter of factly "it's like watching for a package you didn't order"
She said using yet another simile, she used them quite often. Probably more than anyone. Though she never noticed, it was natural to her. Just a part of her speech pattern. "Anil, that's an odd name" she had never heard anything like it. Her own name was rather normal, chosen by her mom because "it sounded beautiful like her" a direct quote from her dad.
"My name is Olivia but you can call me Oli or Lonny if you want" both of the names bad developed in preschool where there was more than one Olivia three in fact so she decided to use her middle name. But most of the kids had trouble pronouncing it so she ended up being called "Lonny" and it had stuck like glue. "So where are you from" she said aware that almost no one was actually born in this town.
Anil laughed slightly, as the girl scolded him for saying sorry. He nodded, and still smiling said "Alright, I'll try my best not to use the "forbidden word" so often then." The boy let out another laugh, he then listened as she told him her name. So it was Olivia huh? "That's a nice name." he said. He then straightened up and hearing the girl's next question sighed. "I come from a world called Beddor."
The boy's face darkened as he said his worlds name, how he hated that place...it brought him so much pain when he was younger...to the point where he was seriously willing to give up life. And if he had not learned about his powers, he probably would've done it...and let the blade bring him to his end. 'Maybe...this time things will be different.' he thought; thinking about the people he had met so far. Legato and his gang, they seemed so nice. Well...except for Helena, but he was sure if he just got to know her better they would become freinds. Dismissing his thoughts then, Anil looked at the girl asking the same question she asked him soon after. "And where are you from?"
She laughed at his joke. He was funny, that was good. He definitely wasn't going to be a downer. She blushed at his compliment, she wasn't used to such compliments. Or any compliments really. Guys didn't hit on a girl with her father standing next to her. It was bad for your health.
"Thanks" she said shyly. "I come from a world called Beddor." that was another interesting name. she imagined that it must be quite a different place from this old town, with its simple design. She tried to imagine it, being very optimistic. A giant shining city all of the buildings made of some gleaming white material. But was brought back to traverse town by Anil's face. It had darkened. she suddenly had the thought that his world was gone and was about to apologize for asking when Anil spoke
"I'm from Radiant garden, it's somewhere up there" she said pointing at the stars " I've lived here for a really long time but I'm going back really soon" she said happily, smiling from ear to ear in fact. She couldn't wait to get back "Are you going anywhere?" she said inquisitively.
"I hope so..." Anil said, answering Olivia's question. "A group of friends and I are getting a gummi ship, and then riding our way out of here...its sorta sad since i really didnt get to explore this world that much..." At this he paused to look at the girl, adding soon after. "But im glad i was able to meet you Olivia.." He smiled, and letting out a short yawn looked up towards the sky. "So Radiant Gardens up there huh?" he asked. "what was it like there?"
So he was leaving soon, well that was disappointing. He was the first friend she had made since running away. That meant something to her. She had been hoping to make some more permanent friends or even traveling partners for when she fixed her ship, well her fathers ship but not anymore. It was hers now. "well even though we just met I'll still miss you" she said with a smile. It was possible that they would meet again, after all how many worlds could there be.
She had to think about his question, it had been a while since she had thought about it. In fact she barely remembered it but she wanted to go back all the same. It was her home and as far as she was concerned it always would be her homeworld. " I don't really remember what it's like but I know that there's a sun and that's good enough for me." she said smiling while looking at the stars.
"so do you know where you're going" she said curiously, what other worlds were there she wondered. She would have to remember to go somewhere else after going to Radiant garden.
Anil shook his head, as Olivia asked if he knew where the group and him were going. "Unfortunately no but...I guess it's sorta exciting that I don't. Just randomly appearing into another world...it's pretty cool in my opinion, so no matter where we go I'll be fine with it. I just hope we don't get into too much trouble with the heartless." At this the boy looked up at the sky, the heartless...just what were they anyway? Legato and his gang gave him a good description of what the shadow creatures looked like and what they could do, but Anil still didn't understand what they truly were; or the reason behind their actions. He sighed, then having a thought pass through his head smiled.
He looked back at Olivia, and widening his smile asked. "You wanna see something cool?" It was then the boy closed his eye's, now what to imagine...he could picture a flower? No that would be silly hmmm....he thought about what to create for a couple of seconds. Then finally agreeing on a thought, pictured a small bird in his head. At first nothing happened, then suddenly a bird appeared on the top of the boy's head. It's beak opening and closing as it chirped loudly. Anil opened his eye's and looking upward towards the bird laughed. He then grabbed the bird softly in his hands. and holding it out to Olivia said. "It's alright, you can pet it. I swear it's just like any other regular bird, just more docile."
So he was just charging into the unknown like she had when she took her gummi ship. Though that hadn't turned out as well as his adventure seemed to be going. In fact she was beginning to question if she ever would repair her ship. Not to mention move the debris around it so it could take off.
"well aren't you daring" she said "that or you really trust them" she added on Remembering that he said he was traveling with friends. She wished she had some friends to travel with or at least a hitch hiker. "you wanna see something cool?" she looked at him with excited eyes and nodded while smiling. "of course"
She watched for a few seconds and started to let a look of disappointment cross her face when, out of no where, a bird appeared on top of his head. She giggled as it let out a loud chirp. She examined it quickly trying to find a flaw or difference it had that wasn't on a regular bird. But it looked absolutely perfect. She accepted Anil's offer to pet the bird. She placed her finger on top of it's head and lightly stroked it. "how did you do that!" she exclaimed a bit to loudly. In her defense, she thought it was absolutely magical.
Anil laughed at the girl's exclaim, he then watched as the bird jumped out of his hands and flew around Olivia; landing on the finger she had just used to stroke the creature. It then raised it's wings, and chirping happily looked at the girl with excited eyes. The boy smiled, "He likes you.." he muttered to the girl, as he extended out a finger and pet the birds head. He then looked at Olivia, and giving her a sly smile said responding to her earlier question, "And...let's just say I have a wild imagination..." At this Anil laughed softly, and turning his head towards the crowd of people ahead of them, let out a short sigh.
The bird...it had just landed on her. She could barely contain her excitement but she did, just to keep tue bird from flying away. But on the inside she was loving every moment of this. Her face betrayed her efficient but she quickly took a deep breath, calming herself down "This is really cool"
And she meant it, she hadn't been outside much recently, that meant no birds bugs or even stay animals. But now that she had run away she was betting that every day was gonna be like today. Fun with strange people that had cool powers. How exciting "Most things do" she said sticking her tongue out at him.
She still was staring at the little bird and it's fluttering little wings. "you realize how much that leaves implied right?" she said looking at him scoldingly "that's like giving someone a puzzle that you know is missing pieces" she said with a tone that fit her face. "so is it....real?" she said curiously
