In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

"Bring back the memories, 'cuz this one's giving up on you... Time is giving up on you, and there's no more time... Forgive me one more time...~"[/i] The humming of a woman in the midst of a crowd was like a soft undertone, making their loud conversations more or less more frivolous, regardless of the words. How she could ever stay enthusiastic after what felt like a millenium of searching was subject to debate. She had promised herself to stay enthusiastic, because it obvious that she would never find him if she stopped looking. As she kept humming cheerily, disregarding the lyrics and swimming through the crowd, she found herself exhausted. To be truthful, the woman missed home.
"One breath, one glance slipped away and missed call, missed glance; I can't stay... Too late, she's gone... I will miss her voice, her eyes, and love's first kiss~"
The woman with the caramel streaks in her raven hair made her way over into an alley, where she could cut through and make her way away from the crowd. A lot of people in one place made her feel a bit lonesome. Honestly, the woman donned in blue could never explain why.
"The day is gone...The sky is blue... I know you're all alone, and the sky is blue... Come back to me... The sky is blue... The sky is blue...~
"Squall... where are you? It's almost like when I enter one world, you go to the next. Where are you waiting...? Maybe you found your way back to our home world... and you're waiting for me where we promised each other we would, in that meadow..."
Like always, Rinoa found herself holding onto her replica of his Griever ring. She remembered that day well, when they made that promise near Edea's Orphanage... He'd grown up there with the others... Zell, Selphie, Quistis, Irvine, and... and... Seifer. Squall's rival. That fact had always been a bit hard on Rinoa, but Seifer... he wasn't who she thought he was. The woman continued along, trying her best to put one foot in front of the other.
"HELP! THE CREATURES IN WHITE... HELP!"
Within the next instance, Rinoa found herself running onto the scene. Two kids who had been playing in the alley way had been ambushed by three Dusks. She'd fought against them before and knew of their intelligence. However, while they were able to fend themselves, it did little damage. Helping them out was some type of defense system, blasting a small pillar of some type of energy at the Dusks. It kept the Dusks busy, but not busy enough. Rinoa took her left arm with her right hand, aimed at one of the creatures, and fired the Pinwheel, hitting the main aggressor right in the head.
She called out to the kids, two little boys, "You might wanna run!" They did so without hesitation, as the Dusks were descending upon Rinoa now. In this cramped alley way, she had just the kind of advantage she needed. Running up to the three, she cast Thunder. A faint yellow ring appeared around her, and lightning descended upon two of the Nobodies. One was instantly killed by the attack, and the other was taken out by the Claymore. Receiving a shock herself, Rinoa stumbled back, a bit dazed.
It allowed the main Dusk just enough time to corner her.

Tifa sighed softly, the softest trace of a sound escaping from her lips. Somehow, what sounded like a melody was drifting in and out, Tifa could catch several words and a sweet voice amidst the huge crowd and noise. It was somewhat depressing, and Tifa leant against the wall, temporarily halting.
"HELP! THE CREATURES IN WHITE... HELP!"
The sudden illusion of peace shattered, and people started running, screaming or staring. Annoyed, Tifa shouldered her way through the crowd, making her way to a small alley way. Claymore was striking, and so was a lady with...
....What was that?
No matter what, she was striking, the two boys started running past the woman, allowing her to deal with three Dusks. Running forward, Tifa watched as the woman brought down one, Claymore took down the other, but the last was advancing on the stumbling lady. As it lunged, Tifa jumped and grabbed the lady, turning and forcing her backwards while kicking upwards, grasping her firmly. The Dusk flew into a trash can. Making sure the lady had steadied herself, Tifa released her and walked towards said trash can, before slammed the lid down as it poked it's head out, smashing it.
Warily, Tifa made her way back to the woman, which seemed sufficiently recovered. She obviously knows how to take care of herself, thought Tifa, eyeing the holster on her arm and remembering the lightning that lit up the alley in a flash. "Are you alright?" she asked curiously.
Why was he the one most commonly left with watching for claymore alerts? Although, he had to admit, it was the only reason he ever talked to anyone, really. For anyone else, that might make it enjoyable, but, for him, it made it even less so. He sighed and gripped the bridge of his nose as the alarm went off. That just meant he was going to have to run out there to check on the people. The best he could hope for was that there were no people, just enemies, and that he could at least get some practice in. In all reality, the claymores were making him go soft.
He grabbed his Revolver gunblade and headed out. He rested his gunblade on his shoulder as he ran toward the location of the alert. He was disappointed at the lack of enemies when he showed up. At least, he didn't see any, yet. Suddenly, he heard the sound of a trash can lid being slammed onto the trash can. He already had an idea as to one person that was there. . . He sighed again and walked into the alley, still seeing no enemies, just Tifa and. . . who was the other woman? He couldn't quite place her, but she seemed very familiar. Tifa asked about the only question Leon had really intended to ask before he even got close to them.
"Are you alright?"
He leaned against the wall, letting his gunblade rest on the ground and looked the woman over. She seemed alright, just a little thrown off, maybe a bit tired, but nothing major. He thought about just leaving and letting Tifa deal with this one, but a part of him said that he should stay, figure out who this person was and why she seemed so familiar, so he just stayed against the wall.

Right before the Dusk made the attack, another lady came in, dresses primarily in black, and pushed her out of the way, kicking the dusk up into a trashcan. A bit confused, Rinoa watched as the lady promptly went over to the aforementioned trash can and slammed the lid down on the Dusk's head, effectively killing it. Amazed at her strength, Rinoa made to thank her at once, only to be asked, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, really! Thank you so much for your help. I just accidentally got attacked by my own spell, haha." The woman smiled gratefully, bowing slightly out of respect. "Thank you so much for helping, again... I nearly thought my search would be over! Speaking of which, have you seen a guy named Leon? He carries around this big gunblade and has a scar across the bridge of his nose..." As she went through the normal drill with all of the movements and etc, something caught her eye.
It was the silver of Leon's gunblade.
W-what?!
After such a long period searching for him, here he was... right before her.
"Squall..." A single whisper managed to escape from her lips. She was shocked and ecstatic all at the same time. Did he remember the letter? Did he remember anything about the past? Rinoa had so many questions to ask him and a profound wish to never part from him again. He almost looked exactly the same way she remembered him in her dreams. In comparison to the last time she saw him, he had definitely changed his apparel.
Her chocolate-brown eyes flicked back to the woman with the dark hair and the black clothes.
"That's who I've been looking for. Squall Leonhart."
"It's alright," giggled Tifa. Hmmm. "What a coincidence - have you seen a guy named Cloud? He has spiky yellow hair and - "
She halted abruptly.
"L-Leon?!"
Leon was on this very world.
Part of the restoration committee.
For crying out loud, he defended Radiant Garden against the massive wave of Heartless.
"I-I know him," Tifa started to stutter, then realized the woman was staring directly at...
Oh wow.
Like a ghost, Leon himself was standing nearby, leaning against the wall, staring at the women right back. "I - that's Leon!"
"That's who I've been looking for. Squall Leonhart."
Squall Leonhart. A discarded name of Leon's. Tifa immediately glanced around, as though hoping Cloud would pop out of the trashcan. No such luck. She looked from the woman to Leon curiously - what was the relationship between these wildly different people? Tifa needed to think again, and she backed away, sitting on the trashcan. Perhaps...Leon knew where Cloud was. Then, at last, her worries would be settled..
She hit herself with her own spell? Leon sighed. She obviously needed more practice if she was really as used to that kind of backfire as she seemed to be. Then, she moved on to something else, something more interesting to the gunblader. She went through what seemed to be a well-practiced routine. Her description of him was impressive and. . . somewhat exaggerated in some respects. If she had been imitating anybody else, or if he knew her, he may have found it at least slightly amusing, but that wasn't the case.
He sighed and pushed off the wall, swinging his gunblade up and onto his shoulder as the two girls finally noticed him. The one he didn't know had referred to him by a name he hadn't used in over ten years. After looking the mystery girl over, he put his gunblade away. By then, Tifa was sitting over on the trash can that he had heard the lid slammed onto. He looked back and forth between the girls a few times and finally spoke. "You two don't know each other," he said, stating the fairly obvious, then looked at Rinoa and continued, "But you seem to know me very well. How?" He kept trying to rack his brain to see if he knew this person from anywhere, but he couldn't think of anything. Maybe a little help would get him to remember, but that was only if he actually knew this person.

[[OMG, I'm so sorry D: I totally forgot!]]
"W-well, Squall, umm...~"
Rinoa had known this would have happened. She knew it all along. Squall, erm... Leon wouldn't remember her. To be truthful, she had barely remembered him. The woman caught herself in that moment. That's right... he goes by Leon now, doesn't he? She laughed awkwardly in spite of herself, wondering if maybe she could make the situation a little less tense. More than anything, Rinoa wanted to be able to open up to him again, to have him hold her in his arms...
Hold your horses, Rinoa. I still got to figure out if he'll even remember me or not...
"Well, umm... I'm Rinoa. Rinoa Heartilly. You're Squall Leonhart. We came from the same home world, remember? You, uh, were in SeeD and you helped me with the Forest Owls... And we, hah, fought a lot and stuff..." Her pale cheeks became a vibrant pink. She felt far too self-conscious about this with no real reason why. How many times had Rinoa practiced this speech she was going to give him? It had definitely been more than once. Probably more than ten times. She wanted to make sure she didn't scare Leon off the first time, possibly sending him away from her forever. Rinoa wouldn't have been able to live with herself if that happened. "You remember? I wrote you a letter and had someone deliver it to you...
"Oh, and pardon me!" Rinoa laughed again uneasily, forgetting the other woman's presence in her discomfort. "I, umm, know Sq--err, Leon, pretty well. We were... pretty good friends, I'd say." She nodded contentedly for effect. In all honesty, Rinoa would have wagered that they were closer than just 'pretty good friends.' That night in the Ragnarok, Squall's promise in the meadow near Edea's house--that was more than just 'pretty good' friendship. "Like I said, I'm Rinoa. May I ask who you are?" She smiled politely, always watching Leon as if anticipating him to run off.

Tifa smiled slightly, if not a little woefully. It was painfully obvious by the way how Heartilly looked and talked to Leon - it was so obvious, but then again, Leon was not the sharpest knife in the drawer. It reminded her of Cloud, actually. Not very tactful. She shook her head slightly, watching Leon. "I'm Tifa Lockhart," she smiled, looking from the male to female, and then suddenly giggling.
She hopped up from the trashcan and walked towards the exit of the alley. "I should probably be going now," she smiled. "I'll leave you two to your discussion," she winked as she passed them. "Nice meeting you," she added to Rinoa. "Think hard," she whispered as she passed Leon, giving him a light jab in the ribs.
