In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The streets was unusually quiet this morning. There were only a few citizens here and there, but it just seemed rather gloomy today. There was one person who stood out the most on the street. The person was wearing black converse, black jeans, black gloves, and a gray jacket and had the hoodie over "his" head. This person's appearance fit the description of a "thug" and 'he" was leaning against wall of a weapon shop, and "he" was staring at the ground, so no one could tell what "he" looked like.
Underneath that thuggish look, was actually a lonely, homeless girl who just wanted to go home and see her parents again. Why was she wearing wearing the get-up? Why does she want to cover every inch of her body in clothing? It's because she's a cyborg and was made fun of, because she was one. People would give her weird looks or call her names. She had to go through this hard time for about 2 years now and she still wasn't used to it.
She then got back up on her two feet and walked down a dark alleyway. Today was special day for the teenager. It was trash-diving day. She looked inside many trash cans and only found a burnt loaf of bread, a half eaten cheeseburger, and 20 munny. It wasn't very much, but it'll have to do. She pulled out a small, plastic bag in one of the trash cans and put all of her "gifts" in them.
10 minutes later, she was strolling along the streets and looked around her. No one was around. It was like all the life was sucked from the street except for her. Since no one around, she sang softly out loud.
~Anata wa ima doko de nani wo shite imasu ka? Kono sora no tsuzuku basho ni imasu ka?~
~ma made watashi no kokoro wo umete ita mono Ushianatte hajimete kizuita Konna ni mo watashi wo sasaete kurete ita koto Konna ni mo egao wo kureteita koto~
The young girl felt a hand on her shoulder and a slight tug. She turned around to see three tall, scary looking men. They staring down at the girl with sinister looking grins. They asked her if she had any money on her, but she shook her head and said , "N-no", softly. She walked away from the three, but she fell face first on the pavement when one of the boys pushed her down.
They started kicking her all over the place and demanded money from the girl. "I-I don't h-have much m-munny, b-but I n-need to s-survive, somehow," she said to the boys, who were still kicking her, with a whimpering tone, then she started sobbing like a little girl.
She could've just got up and beat the crap out of the three, but that wasn't like her at all. She would let them beat her and she'll just forgive them later. But this was different this time. The men who beat her up before, were just scared of her. This time they were demanding something from her and they wouldn't hesitate to kill her for the munny they wanted.

It seemed like it was going to be just like any other day. Saxen was starting to get a little bored with his lack of important things to do, though he did seem to just keep meeting new people. He was walking through the streets, watching people, really. Most people were just going about their business. He saw some people talking, a few arguments, and a few couples out on dates. The contrast was amazing to him. He never understood people and was convinced that he never would. Oh well. He didn't really care all that much. As long as he knew how to be kind to people, it didn't matter.
As he walked, he noticed a girl digging in the trash. He was about to head over, but some people got in his way and he lost track of her. "Gocha!" he cursed and kicked the nearest object. He just lost a chance to help someone. As soon as he could, he started trying to find her again. He ran through the streets asking everyone he saw if they had seen her. He got very frustrated, very quickly. People weren't being very helpful.
At least 10 minutes later, he saw her again. He didn't like what he saw. Three guys, a bit bigger than he was, were beating on this tiny girl. He ran as fast as he could and drove his fist right into the gut of the closest thug, following through on the hit to send the guy landing on his butt several yards off. "Back off my girl, NOW!" he yelled, obviously infuriated. The remaining two boys paused for a moment, shocked that such a scrawny kid not only had the nerve to challenge them, but also had the strength to send one of them flying across the pavement. The last bit of shock probably came from that he had just declared their target as HIS girl.
Saxen had marked these thugs as his targets, now. They seemed to have their confidence back. While that would make this more interesting, it definitely did NOT help the situation. Then, something even worse happened. One of them pulled a knife. As if this wasn't already bad enough. . . The only good thing was that the one he had hit initially was still down and it seemed like he would stay that way for a while. His main concern was the girl. He could deal with some cuts, but she would likely take much longer to heal.
Now, what was it that Zangus used to say? "Relax! It helps you have more fun and your opponents will either think that you are insane, or that they are not a challenge. Either way, they are intimidated and you enjoy the fight more." So, that's what Saxen did. He smiled and even laughed. "Come on, guys! Do you really think that a knife is going to even the odds?" He kept his face relaxed as he delivered a quick blow to both of their guts and then pulled them down when they bent over. He threw them onto the ground, then dropped down to deliver a swift blow to the backs of their heads, knocking them out.
He then got back up, lifting the girl up by the shoulders, and asked her, "Are you alright?"

The girl was still whimpering and sobbing. They won't stop until they got what they wanted, but Alyson needed to survive and that munny is all she has. She closed her eyes and clutched her head and wished for her parents to save her. She wanted this to be over. She wanted the punks to leave her be.
POW!!! She heard what sounded like someone getting punched. She opened her eyes and she saw one of the punks a few yards away. He was knocked unconscious and the girl let out a gasp. She cocked her head to see who caused it. It was a scrawny boy with long blonde hair and he just declared that she was "his". Why would anyone want her? She was just a no good cyborg.
She closed her eyes again and listened to the sound of fists connecting to someone's face. She couldn't stop the violence and she really didn't need to see it. The teenager then felt someone lift her up the shoulders. She slowly opened her eyes and it was surely, the blonde-haired boy. "Are you alright?" he asked the girl with concern. She quickly avoided his eyes, because she didn't want him to see her robotic eye and he didn't want him to run away now.
She backed up slowly, then got her knees and bowed to the boy. It was a pretty pathetic scene, seeing as the dirty street rat, bowing to the boy. "I-I don't h-have much..." She had forgotten that she was still carrying her bag and fiddled through it, trying to find her munny.
She picked out the munny and gave it to him. "I-It's not much, b-but it's a-all I have..." Her voice sounded so fragile, yet so broken. She was avoiding his eyes the whole time and hoped that he won't notice her mechanical eye.
She was nervous. . . and she was hiding something. He recognized it because of his time with Gale. Then, this girl did something that totally shocked him; she bowed to him. Nobody had ever done that, before, and he hoped that nobody would ever do it again. He was just a man, nothing special. Well, that wasn't quite as true anymore, but he would've done the same thing even if he didn't have the strength he had. . . He just happened to be a soldier.
"I-I don't h-have much..."
Oh no. . . she doesn't intend to. . . She started digging through her bag. She does. . .
She tried gave him a small amount of munny and said, "I-It's not much, b-but it's a-all I have..."
It was all she had? And she was giving it to him? That wasn't going to happen. He had tried to find her so he could give her some munny. She needed it; he didn't. He started digging in his pockets and asked her, "What's your name?" He started trying to collect all the munny he could out of his pockets. Once he was convinced that he had every last bit of munny out of his pockets, he handed it over to her. "Take it. And don't even TRY to argue. Consider it your payment to me." He put one hand on her shoulder and raised the other toward her face, but he stopped a fair distance away. "May I?"
The man before her didn't accept her munny. This man, indeed, was very strange to the teenager and she hoped that he wouldn't be afraid of her. Instead, he was digging through his pockets for some loose changed and asked her what her name is, during the process.
"I-It's Ang-... I m-mean, Alyson." She stuttered to the man. Her name was originally Angel, but she changed later on in her life, because she felt that she couldn't bear a beautiful name like that. When he got all of his change out, he handed it to her and he would refuse if she didn't accept it
"N-no, I-I'll be okay... Y-you earned that m-munny and I d-don't really deserve i-it." She stuttered again to him. Her voice sounded more calm now after she realized that he was a nice individual.
She felt his hand on her shoulder and the other was reaching for the hood. She quickly backed away and narrowed her eyes at the ground. "May I?" The boy said calmly to Alyson. This boy was so sweet to her, yet she worried that he would be terrified of her, but she did it anyways. She pulled down her hoodie and revealed her long, crimson hair. Her hair looked like it was on fire, when it met the rays of the sun.
However, she quickly brushed her hair over her fake eye, in hopes that he didn't it before she brushed it. She looked up to him and gave him a soft smile. She looked alright, but just by her normal eye, she looked like she was hurting in the inside.

. . . She argued. He had asked her not to, but she did, anyway. At least she took down the hood, though. When the hood came down, Saxen couldn't help but laugh to himself. He remembered a line from a show he used to watch that he had adopted, almost as a joke: "Always go for the red-head." He had said it so many times that it would be almost impossible to ever forget it. She was cute, but there was still something definitely wrong. She was still trying to hide something. That was it.
"Look. . . Alyson. . . I know you're hiding something. . . I'd be very appreciative if you'd let me see." He paused for a moment, thinking back through his past. Agalia. . . she had hidden so much. The most prominent things were the scars on her face. She always tried so hard to hide them, just like she tried to hard to be invisible. He had befriended her, and, now, she was gone. "I had a friend, once. . ." he began, staring up at the sky. "She used to hide things, too. She had a lot to hide. People hated her for what she hid. Thing is, all it really showed about her was what had been done to her." He looked back at Alyson and did the best he could to look her in the eyes. "She had scars all over her body and a couple really bad ones on her face. I cared about her when nobody else would. I want to do what I can for you. I want you to take this munny and I would very much like to see your eyes."
He knew she was hiding something from him. He's a very perceptive one, indeed. He asked her if she could tell him what it was. She was thinking about it in her head. If she showed him what she was he would either: run away and scream or feel pity for the girl. She was about to say something to him, before he cut off her off.
He explained to the cyborg that he had a friend just like her and people hated her too. He even tried to help and now, he wants to help Alyson. This was a breakthrough for Alyson... No one dared to help her, except for her father. She felt like she could trust him.
She closed her eyes and brushed her hair out of her face. H-here goes n-nothing. She slowly opened her eyes and revealed what her right eye is. It was a fake mechanical eye.
The iris of the eye was like the rainbow itself. It had so many different and bright colors and her pupil was light blue. "I-I'm a cyborg... Ev-Everyone hated m-me because of i-it." She then peeled off her right, black glove to reveal a silver, mechanical hand.
"Th-this is the r-real me." She looked up to the tall boy with her hurtful eyes. She hoped he wouldn't run away, just like the everyone else. H-he never t-told me his n-name... M-maybe he'll tell m-me it soon.

She showed him. That made him very happy. First, she showed him her fake eye. He didn't think there was anything wrong with it. In fact, he thought it was pretty. Then came the mechanical hand. It was a little frightening at first, because of the bladed fingertips, but it was a large contrast to the broken girl that he saw.
"Th-this is the r-real me."
She looked up at him and the pain in her eyes pierced through his heart. He took her hands in his own and looked her in the eyes. "I never judge based appearance. I never will." He let go of her hands, closed his eyes, and shook his head. "I'll never understand how people do that. They miss out on so much."
The young man grasped Aly's hands and talked about he doesn't judge people based on appearance. His hands were huge compared to hers, but they felt so warm and soft to the touch. She knew from then on that he is indeed, a kind and gentle person. Alyson was like a broken piece of glass and that this boy, was one of the many pieces.
"Pe-people just f-feel threatened wh-when they see m-me...but I forgive e-everyone that has caused me ph-physical and mental p-pain," she stuttered softly to him. It was true; she forgave anyone that caused her harm, as she feels that those people were just confused and scared. She doesn't blame them to be scared of her, either. Machines were considered evil in her world and if she wasn't a cyborg herself and saw someone who was, she would probably be terrified of that person.
"M-may I ask y-your name?" She asked him, stuttering again. She then wondered why he wasn't afraid of her. Maybe he's some sort of outcast himself and knows what she's going through. She gazed at his face again and realized...that he was handsome. Who would be afraid of a guy like this?
All of a sudden, she started crying again, but it wasn't because she wasn't feeling sad. She was rather...crying for joy. She wiped her eyes on her sleeve, but the tears kept pouring out of her eyes. She felt like this person, will take care of her.
"Pe-people just f-feel threatened wh-when they see m-me...but I forgive e-everyone that has caused me ph-physical and mental p-pain."
If only everyone could do that. There was a saying he had heard over and over that he wouldn't likely forget: hurt people hurt people. Someone had to break the cycle, but most people didn't want to, for some reason.
"M-may I ask y-your name?"
He placed two fingers on his forehead, closed his eyes, and tilted his head down. "Man, I'm an idiot," he laughed. "I can't believe I forgot to give you my name. . . Anyway, my name's Saxen. As he talked, he could feel slight tinglings through his body. I haven't been gone that long, have I? he asked himself. A quick pain across his chest answered that question for him. "Excuse me, but I have to go. If you need anything, head to the gummi garage. You'll see a sign out front. Nice to meet you. Hope to see you, later." He smiled at her and ran off, leaving his munny behind, with her. Being as fast as he was, it was unlikely that she would be able to keep up, but he needed to get back home, soon, or he'd really start to be in pain.
Saxen. What a strange name it was to the cyborg, but it was a nice name for a handsome boy. She looked up at the tall boy with hopeful eyes and thought to her self, that they could be very good friends. She opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off when the boy needed to leave. Her eyes somewhat changed from its hopefulness to sadness. She didn't want him to leave....at least not now.
Clutching the bag of munny in her hands; she watched him run off and had told her to visit the Gummi Garage later sometime. She tilted her head slightly; she was wondering what a Gummi Garage was, but she would find out sooner or later. She was somewhat anticipated to meet him again. "Let's see each other again...Saxen," she muttered to herself, yet her stuttering was absent. She felt comfortable now now that she finally made a friend.
She rotated her feet, put the hoodie back over her head, and slowly walked away from the area. She wasn't exactly sure where she was going, but anywhere was better than being out in the open. As she was taking her steps, she thought about the future now. A future where she could finally care about someone and have someone care for her back.
