In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Position: Captain of the guard in service of King Mickey the first.
Powers: Rocket - Goofy throws his shield at enemies from afar at a high speed. It returns one post after it is thrown.
Charge - Using his shield much like a battering ram, Goofy charges at the group of enemies and mows them down. Has a cool down of two posts.
Berserk - After taking a severe beating, Goofy can enter a Berserk state. While in this state his strength is increased greatly. Berserk lasts for two posts and can’t be used again for three.
Second Wind - While not the smartest individual, Goofy is very durable. When on his last legs Goofy can step out of battle and get his Second Wind. He rests for two turns, during which he can’t take combative action, and after he can return to battle, completely refreshed and full of energy. Second Wind can only be use once per battle.
Tornado - Holding out his shield, Goofy spins around very quickly, zipping around the battle field smacking around foes, even sending some flying. The attack lasts for two posts, leaving Goofy a tab bit dizzy afterwards. Tornado can’t be used again for three posts.
Weapon: Shield
Picture:
Appearance: Goofy is a tall, lanky fellow, with a slouch in his back. He is as clumsy as he looks (which is to say, very clumsy). His coloring is predominantly black, his ears floppy and his eyes large and inquisitive. He wears a simple green turtleneck sweater with a grey vest along with yellow pants and large sturdy shoes. On his head he wears a yellow hat and goggles. White gloves cover his large, capable hands.
He has an acute overbite and a long snout. He walks bow-legged with his long arms swinging by his sides. When he's happy or sad, or feeling any particular emotion, he shows it through his entire body, jumping in the air for joy, or drooping towards the ground when sad.
Personality: It is easy to believe that Goofy is not that bright, and nine times out of ten he would even agree with you. His carefree nature, his clumsiness, and his gentle, nature attitude tend to go hand in hand with this. However, Goofy often has the ability to provide insight and unexpected wisdom when it is needed. He has a good heart, loyal and true as any friend should be. Though many things confused him, he is never confused when it comes to doing the right thing.
A pacifist at heart, Goofy would rather not fight, but will do everything in his power to protect the ones he cares about, even if it means self-sacrifice. He is peaceful and kind, caring and accepting all at once. He lacks self-awareness, having little regard for "fitting in," or obeying certain social norms. He is polite of course, and respectful, but is not embarrassed to be seen dancing in the rain or enjoying Lester's Possum Park.
He enjoys whistling, eating corn on the cob and long walks in the park.
Original World: Disney Castle
Current World: Disney Castle
Video Game: KH, COM, KH II
History: Goofy was born May 25, 1932 (but for my purposes, he’s perpetually and approximately 40 years old).
He has known Mickey and Donald for as long as he can remember. They went on countless escapades in their youth, before Mickey became King of the realm. Those were happy, carefree times.
Goofy felt that the important part of his life started when he met Penny and fell in love with her. He married, and has a son, Max. For a short period of time, everything was perfect. His cup was full to the brim and nothing could ever take away a single ray of sunshine. That is...until Penny passed away. Max was too young to remember, but for a while Goofy really struggled to fill the role of both father and mother to his only son. As years passed, it became easier and he always strove for the positive. He loved his son as hard as he could and liked to think he did a pretty good job. He taught him how to be kind to others and how to do the right thing. He taught him the importance of being honest. They did not always see eye to eye, but together they always got through the thicket.
He continued to be close friends with King Mickey and the Magician Donald Duck, and was appointed Captain of the Guard when Mickey first took the throne. He enjoyed his job as it generally required very little of him; the crime rate was low and the people of Disney Castle were (for the most part) a peaceful folk. His days namely consisted of napping until noon, taking a late lunch, lounging until dusk, counting stars, eating dinner, and playing board games. He'd go for walks on Tuesdays and Thursdays and helpMax with his homework when he could. Everything changed when the King vanished.
It was then that he took up his duty as a night and teamed up with Donald Duck to search for the elusive key to their salvation. Shadows met them at every turn, but he would never back down or hide from what he knew was right. Quite by accident they found Sora in Traverse Town and together they went on many grand adventures on their quest to save the worlds from certain destruction. They rescued princesses, fought monsters, hunted Nobodies, and eventually brought peace to the worlds. They made many friends along the way and made many discoveries as well.
Goofy was always a defender. When the time came to test his mettle, he put his shield between Sora and the Darkness...and his head between Mickey and a flying rock of death. Still he managed to rise continue on until they reached the final culmination of their efforts. The most awful part was the waiting in uncertainty while Sora and Riku vanished into the realm of darkness. The King counseled patience and he was not to be disappointed. He was there to greet Sora when he and Riku emerged from the realm of darkness and welcomed him back with a big hug. Presently he went home with Donald and the King to await further adventures.
Role Playing Sample:
Goofy decided he liked Chinese food. Granted, these army rations weren’t the tastiest he’d ever eaten (nothing beats a good old fashioned barbeque), but he liked it well enough. He didn’t even mind using the chopsticks, even if he did drop them now and again. Mulan had tried to show him the proper way a couple of times and Donald had openly berated him for using them to stab at the bits of chicken, but in the end it was just food and it didn’t matter anyway. He was just wiping his mouth with the back of his sleeve when he noticed that Sora was still staring at his meal like he didn’t know what to do with it.
“Ayuk! Ya gonna finish that, Sora?”
“Uh…no, you can have it. Think they got any peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?”
Goofy looked over at the round-bellied cook with his pot of rice and roasted chicken. He was pretty sure he hadn’t seen any peanut butter jars around Or jelly. Or the kind of bread that really counted in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich situation.
“Nope, ‘fraid not.”
“That’s what I thought…” The blue-eyed boy said in a way that could only be described as wistful. Goofy didn’t think that expression belonged anywhere near the young boy’s person. Sora was light. There was something about him that made Goofy and the people who met him not only aware of this fact, but innately dependent on it. They needed him to be he hero of the Keyblade just like they needed him to be the bright, smiling, sun-filled boy who always knew the right thing to do. They needed him to be happy, care-free and innocent. Somehow, it was important.
And besides that, when Goofy’s friends were sad, it made him sad too.
“What’s eatin’ you, Sora?”
“Nothing…” Typical teenager response. Max used it a thousand times and Goofy had learned to spot it a mile away.
“Aw, come on. I bet you’ll feel a whole lot better if you say what’s on yer mind.”
“It’s just…” Sora paused, bright blue eyes darting around to see if anyone else would hear them, “I miss...” He gestured with his hands to supply the thought he couldn’t quite voice. Goofy knew what it was though. It was on all of their minds. No one ever said it out loud because it broke some kind of secret taboo. They were all too busy saving the World and being brave to have weaknesses or longings.
“Home.” Goofy said softly. The boy nodded. “I miss it too.”
“Mom used to keep a calendar on the wall with everybody’s birthday on it and a big circle on Christmas Day. That’s December 25th. Now I don’t even know what day of the week it is. Or if she’s even still…”
“I’m sure she made it out ok, Sora. I’ll bet she’s on another World right now teaching everybody about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!” He wrapped an arm around the child-hero in a comforting hug.
“Yeah…you’re probably right.”
“Count on it!”
“Heh…thanks, Goofy.”
“Ayuk! Now let’s see a smile!”
Sora gave a half-hearted smile, but it was clear the boy was by no means cured of his homesickness. That was ok. Goofy knew just the remedy for long-faces and less-than-cheery dispositions.
“Ya know, whenever I feel sad and I don’t want to smile, you know what I do? I sing a certain song and it lifts my spirits in a jiffy! Would you like to hear it?”
Without waiting for an answer, Goofy stood up, fully aware that he was attracting the attention of other soldiers milling about the campsite and of Donald who had been in a heated debate about the practicality of keeping dragons as pets. He didn’t mind. This was important work, after all. He took a deep breath and started to sing an old ditty he’d learn a very long time ago.
