In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Fran had spent five, quick minutes figuring out where she was. At the end of the five minutes however, she was no closer to recognizing the land she stood on right now then she was before. If anything, she was at least wide "awake". Having thrown off the strange, shadowy creatures, she found herself lying amidst a large patch of flowers that waved in the wind. The Sagittarius was intact, and so was Mateus.
Balthier, on the other hand was nowhere to be seen. Fran was quite inclined to think that the sky pirate had been gobbled up by the shadowy things, but found that highly unlikely - he was just as capable as she was and had a lot more espers, too.
This place looked exceedingly different. From the Necrohol. From Ivalice, even. Having spent over half a century exploring Ivalice, she really didn't think there was a place untouched by the viera. Well..what a surprise.
But..how did she whisk from the Necrohol to this place? The Strahl was nowhere to be seen. Airships, even. Mist was completely absent from the premises. She was literally in an impossible situation.
Her eyes spotted buildings nearby. Perhaps five minutes of walking. However, she wasn't prepared to leave until she had a look around this place - a way to return to the Necrohol, perhaps. Some kind of Way Gate? A crystal? There had been no magicks when she sensed the black ant.
Drawing her bow, she calmly walked forward, surveying the place.

Hmm hmmm hm-hm hmmm
Following the beat of her own drown, she swayed with wide swinging arms, which blended a streak of a dry red mud hue. A warm colored scarf swayed behind her with the bounce of a bundle of messy blonde hair that was pulled to the side in a flaring ponytail with stray beaded braids. Her multiple belts clank against one another against her moss green skirt before halting.
Spiraled emeralds looked up at the sky with a distant stare as if she was waiting for something, but all was returned was the warmth of the sunlight. For a busy bee of the gullwings, it was just another day in Radiant Garden, which dazzles with sparkling light randomly in the day. For someone so high strong like Rikku, she was at the fork road of peace and uneasiness. This world was beautiful, but still had some ugly stains of the world's downfall. Flowers began to grow over ugly rusted pipes flushing life into the cold mechanics of this world. No Rikku had nothing against technology; she's Al Behd for crying out loud, but from her knowledge of her stay here, that's when everything went rock bottom before the heartless spewed out.
Although technology was a beacon of a new world, some endeavors, discoveries, and journeys weren't meant to be cross, and it seemed here in this world a divine line has been muddled and stomped on with the experimentation of hearts, which brought out the heartless. She can still see remnants of that dark cloud, since the heartless creation facility was still within Ansem's castle. It has been a while since it was activated, and the gullwing surely wished it stayed that way or be destroyed.
For the time being the Al Behd was taking a break from hovering over her growing project. Fixing up her fallen ship, the Falcon, had taken longer than expected, especially with the side gig of helping this world uproot itself from the past. Not long ago, she began to get an unkind ache in her neck, which inspired her to take a stroll wherever it may lead her, while trying to stay out o trouble. Her pick-pocketing had diminished in this world due to her empathy, so the only endangerment she could be was shere boredom and her unsummoned recklessness.
Unfortunately for her sake, she had wandered into the gardens away from the city, so there weren't any buildings to run up against, climb, or jump off of for shere sport. What she didn't expect to see was a slick piece of a chocolate on legs with tall white ears and snowy hair. Naturally she held up her hands defensively as if she was caught in the act.
"Woooooow," was all she can say to this embodiment of exotic fantasy. Sure her world had natural things that people would considered wierd like those talking cacti, furry blue lions, hypello, and a crap load of monsters to keep one busy researching them, but this took the cake, "are those things real?"
Fran loaded an arrow on Sagittarius, pulling the bowstring back as she held her ground. On these alien lands, she couldn't be sure what was coming. From underground? From above? God forbid it be a stray esper, because on her own she really wasn't sure of her ability to take down the children of the Gods.
Footsteps. Humes? Perhaps. The running was light and easy, suggesting a light build and probably not someone that looked like the bangaas. It reminded the viera of - what was her name - Penelo, the dancer. Yes, she and Ashe were the only other females in their little band of strangeness several years ago. Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca. The last she had heard of the princess, she had ascended to queen. That certainly didn't deter her or Balthier from thieving in Rabanastre under their noses.
A flash of yellow, and she let loose the arrow at once. It whipped through the wind and straight past the girl that materialized around the corner. Fran lowered her bow slightly - she seemed to be of no danger to her. She could've aimed for the head or torso if she wanted and probably hit her mark, but she needed, at the very least to have the person or creature - before then unknown - to know that she was more then capable of defending herself.
The number of inexperienced fools trying to pickpocket her back on Ivalice were countless.
Naturally, the first delightful thing that came out of the blonde's mouth was about her ears. Fran kept a look of neutral indifference while on the inside, seethed with annoyance at Balthier. Where was he? She much rather have him deal with people like these, she wasn't much of a talker like he was.
"Yes," she replied curtly, not in the mood for playing around as she took a last look about. No sign of a wrecked Strahl or a sky pirate.
She had never seen the clothes on the blonde before. Nor had she seen anyone wearing anything alike to that. She was starting to get a sneaking suspicion about her strange situation..

“And you seriously almost nailed me!” The blonde exclaimed before checking to see if any of her hair or her precious scarf got nicked and snatched away, “I get that you’re new here ‘cause hot bunny people aren’t a norm, but you totally need to take it down a noootch.”
She sang the last word, while casually walking forward with a rhythmic bounce in her step on the balls of her feet. “Swinging swords and shooting bows at Radiant Garden’s civilians will nooot give you a good rep ,” she giggled, “I would know.”
She tossed her arms up and shrugged, “But given that you’re knew and all whiiich generally me heartless meanies attacked your world, I’ll let it sliiiide this once,” her finger wagged in a playful disciplinarian manner.
“And I guess I might as well show you around before you making this world your shooting range,” the thief turned on her toes, “If you look aaaaall around you, you’ll see one of the many remarkable gardens of obviously Radiant Garden. It kinda speaks for itself ya know. Oh and I’m Rikku by the way; Rikku 18 of Cbeny. What’s yours and you’re a.l.?”
Her native Al Behd tongued had slipped, but the thief hardly noticed as her spiraled green eyes looked at a pair of bloody maroon waiting for the viera to follow and answer her questions. Heading towards the city, the Al Behd humored herself by balancing and walking on the curb with little to no difficulty, while kicking a rock or two that crossed her.
Ashe had been simply wandering around the streets of Radiant Garden, looking for her dear friend Setzer, though she was sure he was probably somewhere she would never find. So she just thought exploring the whole of the Garden wouldn't hurt, and the first place she had decided to go was the gardens. She had wandered them for some time, and had admired the flowers, the true beauty of the city.
As she proceeded to the next part of the gardens, she froze as a familiar sight entered her field of view, and her eyes grew wide in disbelief. Those ears...that armor...and that unique bow...it was obviously the sky pirate she knew well. It was Fran.
She went to go and call out to the viera, but hid as another stranger approached, her sword sliding out of its sheath. She had replaced her longsword with the Sword of Kings, and had abandoned her shield for this boon. She watched as the stranger conversed with the viera, despite she had very nearly had an arrow put through her skull. She knew that Fran wasn't a murderer, even if she was a thief, but she had overlooked the cases where she had known Fran and Balthier were the suspects, a sign of gratitude. Still, she clenched onto the ring she wore on her left ring finger, the one that had once been held in the hands of Balthier.
Finally, she mustered the courage to speak up, though softly to where she knew the viera would hear her and hopefully the stranger wouldn't. The grip on the sword's hilt tightened, and she stepped into view, looking directly at Fran.
Humes. Typical hyperactive people. Although being quiet and not being a tiresome person that bounced to her came naturally to her aided by her viera heritage, she found the blonde who was walking around..amazingly noisy. Far worse then Ratsbane.
She was barely paying attention to her words because she thought she heard something. Something else besides the piercing sound of the blonde's that went in one ear and out the other, that was. Perhaps it was just her, but she heard the familiar sound of something to do with something sharp - she just couldn't place what.
She turned, hair swishing slightly as she turned to stare at the blonde who seemed to be heading towards the city. Quickly deciding between staying or going, she found her decision being made by someone else.
A rustling sound, and from the trees emerged the princess Ashe.
She, too, drew her bow slightly closer. A small action, but with better haste would she be able to respond should the princess decide that this nonsensicality be the fault of hers and Balthier. Wherever the two went, trouble followed as evidenced by their trip with their previous group.
She really could not stop her lips from curling slightly.
"Your majesty," she said quietly, finding herself - no doubt the work of Balthier's influence - from being amused by the transition of both Larsa and Ashe to the throne. Is this the Gods' favor..or an encumbrance?

"Hm?" the blonde blinked hearing two different voices and she found herself looking back between the mocha bunny and this other person. She already made not that the silent archerer name must have been Fran, an unusual name at that. But what was this your majesty she was talking about. She never heard of any princesses about on this world or this world even having one, so naturally the Al Behd was confused, but she did concluded one thing, "You twooo know each other eh?"
With one and two being poked at together, Rikku simply assumed that this your-majesty-chacallit was from a different world too, but perhaps the same world as the bunny person. There were too many worlds for Rikku to keep organized in her head after a while she shrugged and hardly attempted to distinguish them all.
In the meantime she just watched and observed the twoo...
Though Ashe was shocked to see Fran in Radiant Garden at such a random time, she was stunned at the cold indifference the viera gave her. Even after their adventures had ended, Ashe had still considered her a friend, but in reading the viera's posture.
"F-Fran, it's a pleasant surprise to see you here. Last I knew, you and Balthier were out searching for treasure...in my castle of all places...but how did you get here? And where is Balthier?"
She sheathed her Greatsword, seeing no need for its protection since Fran was so obviously armed. She then responded to the blonde girl's question.
"Yes, I know her. We, along with our other allies, saved our world, Ivalice. I've known her for quite some time, and I have taken a particular liking the the Sky Pirate."
Fran barely refrained herself from snorting. Pleasant surprise indeed. It was definitely a surprise, but Fran wasn't very sure how pleasant it was suppose to be. Certainly Ashe was far more sensible then someone, say, Ratsbane or Penelo, but still. She was the Queen of Dalmasca and very liable was she to send the viera off to the gallows should she find out her prized doves had been thieved by none other then Balthier and herself. The pair would easily be put into strings of incarcerations if Ashe knew half of what they had been up to..
Which was why until Balthier arrived to take over, she was going to steer far, far away from that zone.
"More so would it not be for this..."
..What exactly was this? Teleportation? Warp? She had had a taste of the X-Zone once, and this was no Warp.
"..transference," she answered drily.
...and where is Balthier?
Where is Balthier indeed.
Fran relaxed and smoothly returned Sagittarius to its position on her back when Ashe withdrew her weapon. That meant there was no danger nor hostility, which was good enough.
"You are unescorted," Fran pointed out unnecessarily. She'd thought that as a queen, Ashe would probably have guards crawling all over her every single moment of the day and night.
Hmm. Destitution and desolation would prove difficult later, wouldn't it.
"We were investigating the Necrohol," Fran spoke forlornly, cursing her uncharacteristic ineptitude at allowing the creatures to gather so and ambush them. "People have been vanishing. At first we achieved naught, then we discovered a dark creature the likes of a small puppet," she frowned. Except it moved on all fours. Strange. "A group of them ambushed us," she finished simply, speaking quickly.
That last sentence left a very bad taste in her mouth. Fran merely raised a brow in a silent question, staring at Ashe.
