In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

*brings in her two pennies*
But people don't really sit and wait for RP partners to finish typing anymore, so they can immediately respond. Therein lies the speed problem, hence the IM idea, where you've got the person on the other end responding consistently.
Totally true.
I foresee the biggest problem with trying to make battle rp quicker is "Handling Godmod Issues".
With my experience here, battle rps turns into a physical game of chess; everyone and kairi's grandma would start to get crafty to prolong themselves. Sometimes that spitfires godmodding or just doing things that are implausible to do. I've been a part of a battle rp...that I'd just prefer to quit, because the countless of times there were issues.
So let's just a.) accept the fact that it's never going to be no where near like battling in the games, and because we're a bunch of crafty people...battle rps will never be a smooth process. If we marinate that in our minds now, we shall not get overly frustrated with an unreachable concept.
So I wonder:
1.) How would you handle godmodding/powerplay/etc in an instant chatting battle session whether it is multiple people?
I can see it being spotted with the moderator views it, but by then...the rp is finished and the deeds been done, which inevitably shaped the rest of the session.
2.) Even if we do a cbox, I wouldn't use a cbox.
- You can only see a limited amount of the messages, so your mod would have to access the account and try to recollect it. Theeen flip everything right side up, because of the cbox's setting in presenting new messages at the top.
- I don't even want to envision how it would flow if everyone knows its url and have multiple rps going on in one space. I do like the chat Aryn and I was fooling around with. I don't know if it allows you to do separate group chats, but you can do one on one. Ooor we can say...screw it...do a msn groupie.
If we get enough volunteers in the next six hours, I'll be open all later today to observe/mod, or participate if need be.
If we need a thread to do this in, Olette's got one up in the dreamscapes, or we can pull up another in that location. Seems like a fine place as any to do a test battle.
