In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Skylar just stood there for a minute after Axel err.. The Shark was done explaining his story. Skylar was watching him very closely and when The Shark was done all Skylar had to say on the subject was "OK. You showed me how you looked when you were lying and now I know what you look like when your telling the truth."
At that moment Skylar began walking towards the entrance to the Second District. Cracking his knuckles as if preparing for combat. But why would he willingly put himself in danger when he didn't have to? Skylar turned toward The Shark and said "You coming or what?"
The Shark stood there, shocked. The helmet didn't showed it, and the hero was thankful to that.
"Skylar, you don't need to do this. It's dangerous, it's... oh, screw it. I doubt that will stop ya, right? The Shark chuckled for a moment. Things went wrong... but he was happy.
It seems the hero got a new friend... and perhaps a partner. He approached Skylar, smiling behind the helmet.
"I'll hear tons of s**t because of this, but wathever. This will be fun. I never had company on patrols. But, seriously, are you sure you're up for the task? These guys aren't kidding arround and I really don't want you to get killed.
Skylar appreciate the concern for his safety but Skylar fought he's pretty sure it wouldn't any different then last time. After all Skylar was a black belt in Karate his whole body is a weapon to use against the heartless.
"Remember I've fought these things before and I only had an issue with the one big one that showed up back home. So if one happens to show up I'll just stay back and watch the "Hero" at work." Skylar laughs.
Skylar walked up to the door and was ready to open it the turns his head and says "So what do you say "Hero"?"
"I say let's kick some ass!" Said The Shark, chuckling. "But stay behind me. We need to avoid to be seen. I'm still training and all. It won't be a big problem because there's not much movement arround here, but still... watch out."
So, The Shark leaded Skylar trough the alleys and streets of the Second District, looking fo enemies do fight.
((Short post, sorry =x. I'll leave to you for the enemies to appear because, after all, you're the thread's master xD))
(I don't mind if you want too, but if you don't want to just get us set up and I'll do the rest)
Upon entering the Second District, Skylar open the door and stepped aside saying "Lead the way then." After searching around for what seemed like an hour, Skylar and The Shark have yet to see a single enemy anywhere.
Skylar takes a long yawn out of boredom before saying "Slow night." After about another hour of searching Skylar was beginning reaching the limits of his patients and held back the urge to yell and said "Something needs to happen soon or I'm going to die of bore..." As soon as he was about to finish his sentence, Skylar spotted the shadow of something move around a corner. It was far to late at night for someone to be taking a stroll around town must mean something is up.
"There. That ally way I saw a someones shadow. Think it could be an enemy?" Skylar whispered to The Shark while pointing to the location were he saw the shadow. Skylar was hoping he was right anything was better than sitting around.
"Probabbly. Be careful" Said Axel, signaling him to follow. He got a firmer grip of the Sharkblade - chances were things would get ugly pretty soon.
When they turned the corner, it was trouble. 4 Soldier heartless - a common and dangerous type in Traverse Town - were standing there. They turned arround, noticing the two friends.
"Now that's it. Ready for some fun?" Asked Axel, entering combat stance and getting ready for the upcoming fight
No sooner than Axel finished his sentence, Skylar charged in sticking to the left side of the ally. Upon reaching the heartless, Skylar jumped to the other side of the ally landing on the side of the wall, ricocheting off of it doing a spin kick hitting one of the heartless in the head and knocking it back into another heartless.
"Does that answer your question Shark?" Skylar remarks while putting up his dukes reading himself for the enemies counter-attack in his usually defensive stance. This stance blocks enemy physical attacks while using his arms as the means to block and quickly counters with the use of his legs.
"So, kiddo knows how to fight, huh? How cute. Watch this then!" Shark answered, chuckling. Actually Axel was only one or two years older than Skylar, but he couldn't let this joke pass. Anyways, the hero rushed to the combat too, delivering a powerful blow to the first Soldier's head. He retreaded, stunned, and the second one started to charge his Spinning kick - a signature move of the Soldier heartless type. Shark acted quickly. "BLIZZARD!" he shouted, while shooting the spell from the tip of the Sharkblade. The Soldier was hit midair, but the spell prevailed, launching him back too. The two Soldiers stood, angry.
"Let's see what else you got!" Said Shark, teasing Skylar while getting ready for round 2.
Tch, this world was filled with the ungrateful; there were too many people whinning and complaining about the bitter cold, while ignoring that the threat of darkness had lessened incredibly. Jadis never wished to adorn herself as a hero by no means, but it was ironic how even her good deeds weren't being spread about. Oh that's right these simpletons hardly knew about that ingracious Heartless strutting in here demanding, no threatening, her to open up the gates to darkness for they can pick their claim. Before that Braig sent by his Master, Ansem, could do any more damage, he was called elsewhere and was never seen again.
Rumor has it said her trees that Mikhail had even made his way back and wasn't so thrilled about the alters either. The concept made her eyes narrowed in a frown; afterall he had agreed to this. No Jadis didn't need any permission, but it was better to coherce then to snatch and deeling with uprising. Yet it seemed she was going to get the bitter end of the stick regardless. Oh well sacrifices have to be made, and if they continued to press her buttons she would make them rue the day their self-absorbed tongue spewed complaints. Regardless it was the duty of an empress to enforce; she'd even be kind to educate.
Fortunately her temper never peaked to open the gates in darkness and let a loud cry sweep across Traverse Town. Maybe if people had lost a few hearts, they'd remember the importance of living a life versus a change in weather. Was that their problem? They were too comfortable with the absense of heartless that they HAD to find something else to be upset about. Childish it was.
Regardless of the hold she had from acting brashly, the current breeze reflected her annyoance. Her pale yellow hair whipped with every current of the winds dotting her hair in snow like a crown. Unlike practically everyone, excluding an Aeon, she didn't wear anything to shield herself from Winter. Her pale white skin was bare with a soft blue dress. The only depth of color on her was her eyes and lips. The giantess had left Charn and roamed the Second District with a pair of wolves by her side after entering from the doorway leading to the Third District. The Second District had eight inches of snow covering the cobblestone, especially in the courtyard, while the narrow alley and pathways rimmed snow along the walls.
Once entering the main courtyard, Jadis observed a few snowmen spotted here and there; the trails of those children has been covered up by the previous sprinkles of snow.
Hmph at least someone is amusing themselves...Now where is he?
She hadn't spoken to Mikhail since his departure to Atlantis, and she couldn't 'feel' any of her 'apprentices'. She wondered if that's what was delaying him. Had they all perished on their travels? The Ice Witch didn't push or tried to make them stay; children were young and adamant; regardless what she'll say, children will listen, but execute differently. If she could expect the worst, she can conclude one thing. They weren't ready.
The wolves picked up a sound, and seeing a trail of footprints, a group or sort thought they were ready and prepared. From her knowledge there weren't many festivities this late. This bubbled down to one thing, mischief. She sensed a mild tinge of darkness in the air, and silently without words she commanded her hounds to go investigate, while she followed slowly.
When Axel charged in after his smart remark about there age Skylar just shrugged it off like it was an empty threat and stood ready for an enemy attack while Axel took his turn in the fight. When Axel cast his blizzard spell Skylar was shocked to see that he can use the power of the elements too so much in fact that he almost didn't see the soldier heartless make an attempt to harm him. While he blocked the soldier's attack and made a counter move with his leg, kicking the heartless upside the head causing it to fall to it's side on the ground Skylar couldn't help but think. "He can use magic too! What the heck!!! Can everyone in this world use it!?!? I should have a talk with him later about that but right now we have to get out of this little rumble first."
Putting his attention back to the fight at hand the second heartless stood by his comrade while it got back up. When they did they both charged at Skylar planning to double team him. "Two verse one huh... BRING IT!!" Skylar shouted charging forward as well, planning to take them both head on. When Skylar was a foot or so away from the heartless he saw the heartless dive into the air with there legs out stretched as if to jump kick him. Skylar simply leaned back and fell to the ground sliding right under them. Quickly getting back up after the heartless missed there attack Skylar charged toward them diving head first and landing between them on his hands and held that position getting ready for his next attack.
"How you like this Shark! Lets see you pull something like this off!!!" Skylar remarked as if teasing Axel's fighting capabilities. Skylar then quickly started spinning around on his hands until he felt he was at a fast enough speed. The possess took only a few seconds then afterwards extended his legs in and out whenever they passed by the two heartless. Once he hit both of them the went flying back into the side of the wall of the alleyway, hitting the wall hard causing them to vanish.
Afterwards Skylar kicked off the ground and landed on his feet, kneeling on the ground with a cocky grin on his face. "Not bad for a kid huh?" He said teasing Axel once more. "And for your information, I'm only 16 years old." He stated while getting up off the ground ready to see what Axel brings to the party next for the two remaining heartless.
The fight kept going. The Soldiers, tough slow and not very powerful, were still formidable foes for any person without a keyblade. Shark couldn't help but get shocked at Skylar's skillset. He WAS powerful, specially for someone that young. His leaps and kicks and punches were amazing, he moved with grace and striked with power. The hero started wondering what damage HE would be able to do with that kind of skill, paired up with his spells and training.
Amazed as he was by Skylar's demonstration, he got distracted. One of the two Soldiers started rushing foward, reading his strike. Axel only noticed it in the last moment, and quickly leaped above the Soldier, dodging a headbutt by very little. The heartless lost his balance and fell face-first into the floor, as the Shark readied himself to face the second enemy.
The second soldier delivered a punch, that the hero dodged with a quick move to the left. The Soldier followed with the combo with another punch. The Shark was ready to dodge again, when he saw the first Soldier getting back up.
"Dammit" he said, quickly forming a new plan. Since defense would be hard, he opted for offense. He took the punch, half-blocking it with his left arm, the heartless punch hitting the protective armor on the hero's limb. Even protected, it hurt. The heartless were just too far ahead of any normal human.
Luckly, The Shark wasn't a normal human. He stroke quickly with the Sharkblade, hitting the enemy on the head and, quickly, finished him off with a jumping strike. The Soldier disappeared in a cloud of dark smoke. It was funny - Axel was fighting the Heartless for a long time already, but he still couldn't get accostumated with that 'poofing'. It was just funny - one moment you were focusing all your strenght on hitting something, the next second you were only hitting air. It was... awkward, like acidentaly tripping on a rock and quickly recovering.
Anyways, there was one Heartless left. He needed to act quickly. He couldn't get hit - or Skylar would never let him sleep again. Thankfully, experience and repetition led to instinctivity. Axel's body just acted on his own. It was a brief second, without aiming, without focusing. He just... did. And he knew what to do.
"Water slash!" He shouted, striking the air with his blade. The enemy was rushing toward the Shark on that moment when he got hit in the chest by the Water Slash. He retreated, injuried, and the hero quickly finished it: "Water Shot!" a sphere of water was launched from the tip of the Sharkblade, hitting the weakened enemy on the chest. The heartless was projected in the air for a second and, then, 'poofed' too.
The alleyway was clean. It was just then - when the adrenaline started to reduce and fase and his heartbeats returned to normal - that Axel was able to analyze his surroundings. The alley was somewhat large - large enough for Axel and Skylar to walk side by side with their arms open, maybe even a bit more. It was a bit short too - maybe five meters long and that was it.
"Phew. Gotta say, you went pretty good. Do you think you could..."
He felt it before hearing or seeing it. The air suddenly started getting colder and colder, like if the avatar of winter itself was roaming arround.
The Shark quickly turned arround, facing the initial end of the alley. There, two wolves appeared. That was strange. They didn't looked like heartless. However, the Shark had never seen wolves on Traverse Town. The adrenaline was getting up again, as he felt threathened.
Finally, it appeared. Axel backstepped. In his mind, all the storied he had heard about it started to flash on his mind - the good ones and, above all, the bad ones.
The White Queen had arrive. What could she want with Skylar and The Shark? He stayed mute, still too shocked to speak.
"Well, my my my my...," the Witch started looking overall displeased, unamused, and unimpressed at the shenanigans and frolic the two boys were displaying,"now if this world wasn't under my wing I wonder how many cries of lost children I'd have to endure. Fortunately for you majority of the threat is hardly present."
The giantess strolled closer to then making her genetics clearer as she towered over them. Her wolves were close enough to brush their fur against her. Although they didn't receive any notions of the boys being a threat, they were built to be defensive for their Queen, who stood erect with an disappointed arched brow and a stern twist of her lips, grimacing.
"Thank you for compliments by entrusting that the protection I have render you safe, but I for one don't find it amusing to act so...recklessly. People have been lost to darkness to ensure to have the world back in order, and what do we have here boys playing child's play with the number one parasitic animal that ravages the skies clean of its worlds."
Her cold tone made the temperature drop lower, and it made her wolves antsy. They held their composure well in not emitting a disappointing growl; Jadis had enough bite and bark in her voice to handle it. With a deep exhale, she calmed herself and tamed the snow furies that whipped with the wind. Her tossed wind blown hair draped down her back and shoulders, while her head stood tall with the crane of her slender neck looking down on them.
"Names," she demanded cooly and didn't foresee in them denying her; Jadis concluded they were foolish fortunately they won't stoop down to the ranks of idiocy. Her thick lashes lowered with an acute narrow gaze of her earthly green eyes. She then observed the pair, then suppressed a snort at that tacky blue attire and armory. Even the helmet looked barbaric as if it was designed by a child's fantasy. It didn't help him look less immature.
His partner lacked a ridiculous costume. Instead he looked like a vagabond with those tattered pants of his; he obviously didn't dress for the weather. For a moment, Jadis sighed disapprovingly; all of her apprentices, most of them, were gone, and this before her could very well be their legacy. How cruel could the worlds be?
Skylar watched in awe as Axel used more of his spells to take out the last two remaining heartless. He couldn't help it, other than today Skylar has never seen magic done before. Watching Axel fight just made Skylar want to learn how to use magic even more. "That is so amazing!" Skylar thought as the fight continued on.
While watching Axel, Skylar noticed that Axel had a bit harder time taking out these two enemies that he did. One of the reason's way is probably cause he has more magical capabilities than physical ones due to him taking out both his enemies with his magic and having a hard time taking them both head on with his sword. That struck an interesting idea in Skylar's mind, "Maybe I could teach him a few moves in exchange for a few magic lessons."
When Axel finished off the last of the heartless, Skylar walked up to Axel and gave him a friendly slap on the back. "Way to go! You were awesome!" Skylar complemented. Skylar had a big wide grin on his face clearly exited for Axel. Not only him Skylar was proud of himself for finally having someone by his side he can count on... Someone he can finally and truly call a friend.
No more than a moment later, Axel got this unsettling look on his face as we was about to ask Skylar a question then quickly turned to the end of the alley. "Whats wrong?" Asked Skylar as he turned toward the end of the alley as well. "Oh..." Said Skylar with a uneasy tone in his voice as he too saw the two wolves standing there.
"Ha!! they don't look that tough. Lets show..." Skylar stopped in mid-sentence as the white queen came around the corner. He noticed Axel take step back as she approached. She had a nice looking blue dress and what looks like very pale skin. "She is in dire need of a tan." thought Skylar. Skylar couldn't help but ask in a low tone so she couldn't hear him "Who's the old lady?" but was quickly thrown off topic when she started to speak.
After hearing her first sentence Skylar assumed she was the White Witch. He hadn't heard very much about her due to him being a newcomer to this world but he new enough to know that nothing good was coming there way. After she approached them and started lecturing us on "playing" with dangerous creatures, Skylar just lost it, he was about to stand up to her until he noticed after she was done speaking that the temperature dropped dramatically all of a sudden.
"That's right, she can control the temperature of the area around her." Skylar thought with a angry glare pointed right at the White Witch and it didn't stop there. Next she started demanding there names and yet she has yet to introduce herself. Skylar assumed that she thought she was so well known, she needed no introduction. Skylar wasn't going to take it anymore powerful or not. Unfortunately that was one of Skylar's many downfalls, he didn't like the fact of people talked down to him in any way. In short Skylar had a problem with people of higher authority.
"Listen lady. I'm not sure if I know who you are, all-though I have an idea, before you start demanding questions, its considered "POLITE" where I come from to give your name first. And second, what do you mean child's play! Do you believe we didn't know the risk we were taking? I'll tell you how much of a risk we were taking, NONE!!! Know why? Cause we actually know how to defend our self's. We aren't kids lady! If we needed permission to go and kick some evil backside, we would have told them to mind there own damn business!" Skylar ranted at the White Witch. He believed he way overstepped his boundaries, but he didn't care one bit. After that little rant of his Skylar suddenly felt way better. Way he saw it it was better to get thinks off your chest than let it build up inside you.
Axel was uneasy. It was the first time he was on the actual presenceof the White Queen. He already heard a lot about her. Momeries of her recent "takeover" went back to his mind. Everybody couldn't stop talking about it, the giant ice woman who took Traverse Town under her protecting wing. He had hear stories about she being big, but he didn't expect this big. It was a bit intimidating. But, more than this, her eyes were intimidating: Cold, merciless and... noble. Like everyone else were vermin on her feet. The noble look of a noble, that not only thinks but knows that he (or she, in that case) is superior. It was disturbing, specially when a ego this big came backed up by tremendous magic power. The power pratically oozed from her as well as the cold - The Shark was pretty sure that he could actually touch her magic power if he got any closer.
When she approached, The Shark backtepped again, but now it was different. The first time he retreated, it was of shock and awe. Now, he retreated in instinct. The White Queen would notice that Axel would get in a sort of combat position. Not an offensive, threatening, disrespectful one - it was purely instinct. She noticed that he wasn't ready to attack her, but would sure deffend himself if needed too. He didn't feared the Witch, tough he would gladly pass a fight with her.
On Axel's mind, everything was going light-speed. HE was strictly told not too trust her by the Pristis Foundation, and was intending to follow. So, when she demanded the names, he got silent. It was then that Skylar started talking. Axel's eyes popped inside the helmet - but, obviously, no one would notice that. However, he listened, not interfiring. Skylar was right, and he couldn't let the Witch do wathever she wanted. It was the heart of the Shark's - and the Foundation, for that matter - distrust for the Queen: They weren't sure if she was a protector of a conquerer. This would be the perfect opportunity to put her to a test.
So, Axel waited and, when Skylar finished, he quickly started talking too, trying to amenizate the situation:
"Please don't get mad at my friend. He's hot-headed and confused at the moment. I am The Shark, if it pleases you. However, even if rude, my friend is right. We are powerful and more than capable of taking out those minor heartless by ourselves, as you probabbly noticed. You are not the only one that protects Traverse Town from the Heartless threat. Think on me as an ally, since I've been doing this for some time. About my friend, he's unfortunatly not from here. He got lost in a heartless attack and ended up in this world. I'm taking care of him while we try to figure out a way to send him back to his homeworld." Even if trying to be polite, she would notice that the Shark didn't relaxed his posture, and still seemed ready to fight. It was pretty clear that he didn't trust the Witch. However, his stupid fear was rid off as reason took in. He was ready to carry a conversation with the Witch to try to end things peacefully. Who knows - maybe she can help them about sending Skylar back to Twillight Town.
Her eyes turned black at his tone, and the witch wouldn't give more to just rip his throat out and feed it to her wolves, who stepped forward and snarled at the boy. Finding him too annoying to listen to, Jadis merely closed her eyes, inhaled, then blew out a cold blizzard breeze towards him. There were plenty of ways she could've killed him right then and there. She could snap a bone and render him a cripple for life, which would be more humbling for a babbling fool who speak of manners when his etiquette was below of a ruffian. She didn't held her wolves back as they approached him with bared fangs.
"Next time educate your friend to hold his tongue, because in my world,"her eyes then narrowed on the nameless child, "it would've been removed and cursed upon. So next time, be mindful of what you say I doubt the worlds will be tolerant of insolence. I doubt you'd want me to be your teacher to inform you otherwise."
He can dissect that however he liked, but he better think twice before biting of more than he can chew. If she was irate enough, she would flex her muscles just for example purposes. Although she may have down charitable worlds; she wasn't one to be walked on and talked to in any manner. Like a mother, she'd strike her child in the mouth, make him taste his blood, and teach him never to do it again unless he wished severity on his head. Being on this world long enough, she saw the lot of them as mere children not only because of her age, but because of their naivety. In that regards, she would strike and find it perfectly ethical; obviously his mother wasn't here to do it for her.
With a silent demand, the wolves calmed themselves before stationing themselves about the ally keeping an eye on the two. Their charcoal and grey fur glittered with snow. Licking their nose, they just waited for the command to make the foolish pair their prey.
"Also let it be known that without me in this world you'd have more than mere little soldiers and shadows to deal with. So let's presume I in fact do know more than you of the hazards that can stalk this world, so again...don't be foolish. Overconfidence can be the death of you. Think of this as a...notice from ally to ally. Plus there's no much of an alliance since I lack your name; I know the Shark isn't it, and it's not like I need your name to find you...both of you."
Her eyes then flicked at Skylar, "Naturally if you don't know my name by now; you haven't been here long, and after being dragged by heartless one would presume you'd act more wisely. Obviously you didn't the first time to be dragged here in the first place. How unfortunate...I do have ways to travel, but it's not one I'm...eager to offer."
