Name: Mortisha March
Nickname: Tina
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Position: Chaotic Good
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Being a classically trained as a martial artist and a close quarters combatant, Tina has honed some of her skills while outright ignoring the others, since she had a limited amount of time in her life to achieve a more well rounded training. Instead, she has put great focus on
Speed, strength and endurance to be more effective at fighting enemies in close quarters. This means that she moves quickly, strikes with great power, and can take more damage than others might.
On the other hand, her skills in other areas, specifically
Magic Skill and Defense, as well as ranged combat, are lacking. Even if she were to learn a spell, her ability to mold magic is so limited that she would exhaust herself in the process. She has just enough skill to craft her inner supply of mana for more physical abilities, practically honing her body as a weapon. By that same token, her body was exposed to almost no magic in her lifetime, making it susceptible to magical attacks. As such, she takes more damage from magical attacks than she does from physical ones. Even general magic exposure on a larger scale, such as passing through a dark corridor, can cause her fatigue. She similarly has no training with ranged weapons, making even improvised attempts at ranged attacks such as throwing rocks completely useless. Even for something as simple as passing an item to an ally, her throwing accuracy is unreliable past a few feet.
Because of her intensive training in martial arts and the skill of using her own body as a weapon, Tina has the following techniques at her disposal:
Sprint The user is capable of moving at heightened speed for a short burst, ideal for closing the gap between themselves and an enemy, or for quickly getting away when a tactical treat is required. This lasts for one post and cannot be used successively due to the strain of moving so quickly on such short notice.
Haymaker The user gathers their might for an especially powerful melee attack. Despite this ability’s name, any type of melee attack can be used, whether it is through a fist, a foot, a melee weapon or even a headbutt. While this is a mighty blow, it also takes great fortitude to utilize, making it impossible to use successively. As such, the user must wait at least one round of posting before using this ability again.
Brace In preparation for an incoming attack, the user can flex their muscles and, as the name suggests, brace for impact. This reduces the damage from the oncoming attack, but at the expense of halting any chance they have of making an offensive action for the rest of the round. Because of this, utilizing its effects successively is ill advised, since the user would be completely unable to mount a counter offensive. This is generally preferred as a last resort against powerful attacks that can’t otherwise me avoided.
Weapon/Items:- The spiked cleats on her boots, which are roughly one centimeter in length each.
- The metal bracers on her gloves, which extend the length of her forearms.
Picture:Appearance: Tina is a tall, muscular girl with long brown hair and matching hazelnut brown eyes and a pale white complexion. She wears a red t-shirt with a silver paw print symbol upon it, over which she wears a blue jean jacket that matches the jeans she wears. Her footwear is a pair of black military-style combat boots, complete with small metal cleated spiks on the bottom and decorative chains on either side of the zippers. On the back of her jacket, the words “Lone Wolf” have been printed in a grey, jagged pattern. On her hands are a pair of red fingerless gloves, which provide the enhanced knuckle and hand protection she needs, without losing the grip she wants for grappling attacks. Each of these gloves has a metal bracer at the wrist that extends the length of her forearm, though that’s partially concealed by her jacket.
Personality: Tina is a strong-willed individual who won’t back down to a challenge. Growing up with very strict, traditional parents, she was instilled with a great sense of honor, which only reinforces her perseverance and courage. On the other hand, she is known for being argumentative, even when she might agree with what you have to say. Similarly, a childhood in a patriarchal society made her less confident, causing her to sometimes doubt herself.
If there is anything she values more than anything else, it would be her friends and family. She was very close to her brothers growing up, and would do anything for them. Likewise, she would gladly give her life for her friends and wouldn’t hesitate to do so if the situation arose. While she may not fear for her own well-being, she certainly does so for her friends.
Coming from a sheltered upbringing, Tina often encounters things she does not understand. Even as her knowledge of the greater universe has expanded, she continues to find things in everyday life that baffle her. Her inquisitive personality helps her through this, however, as she never fails to ask, even when others might think the question is silly or the answer is obvious. She has a natural thirst for knowledge that cannot be quenched.
Original World: Radiant Garden
Current World: Radiant Garden
History:Tina was born in Radiant Garden, the youngest of four children and the only girl. Her father had been in the military and knew that someday, the there might be a need for he or his sons to fight in the army. As such, he made a point of training them all in the martial arts and the way of the sword so that they might be ready.
Despite being a girl, Tina was allowed to participate in their training. Her father saw no harm in her doing so, as it was great exercise, even if she would never join the army herself. He felt it really wasn't a place for a girl, after all. Regardless, she was allowed to train alongside her brothers, where they lived a relatively peaceful and calm life for many years.
That all changed when the Heartless overtook their world. Her brothers rose to arms immediately, joining others in their world to try and fight off this threat. The three brothers gathered their armor and weapons, setting off to face the Heartless army for the honor of their family and leaving Tina behind with their parents.
On the day they embarked, Tina found herself alone as a wave of heartless emerged near her home for the first time. She wasn’t even near home- she had been on her way to send her brothers a care package. The package was never sent, however, as it was destroyed in the scuffle that followed.
Tina fought valiantly to protect her home, using the skills she had traind her entire life alongside her brothers to fight, and using the memory of her family as inspiration to spur herself onward. However, their numbers were too great, especially when a Darkside emerged and overpowered her. Her world was lost, and the heartless now controlled what would become the Hollow Bastion.
Tina was fortunate, in that she sent hurtling through the dark corridor that the Darkside had emerged from, and found herself in Traverse Town. The town had yet to be truly overrun by heartless, so she settled in there. When the heartless did arrive, Tina found herself immediately becoming useful in aiding with patrolling and protecting the town against the heartless populating the second and third districts. During the years she was there, she acquired her new wardrobe, which she didn't think her father would have approved of. When The Hollow Bastion fell from the control of the Disney Villains, Tina was able to ride on one of the gummi ships that was taken there, and moved there with the mass of others who traveled there , wanting to be more on the front lines of the war against the heartless.
Role Playing Sample: Where am I? Tina thought to herself, opening her eyes. She had just finished battling that strange creature, when everything had gone black. Now, she found herself lying upon what looked like a giant stained glass platform with a woman’s image engrained within it. This was the image of Cinderella.
Slowly, Tina climbed to her feet and looked around. The platform itself seemed to be suspended in darkness itself, with nothing visible beyond the circle’s borders. She walked around the platform, trying to find an exit of some sort. After circling about halfway around, she jumped back as a set of stairs seemed to magically appear before her.
She climbed the stairs, the whole time wondering what had happened to her world. Were her brothers alright? What about her father and her mother? She had no way of knowing, but she hoped to find out. She couldn’t help but feel responsible for the fate of her world. Maybe if she had fought harder or been stronger, she could have forced the invaders back and she would not be in this predicament. Maybe if her brothers were at her side…
At the top of the stairs, she found another circular stained glass platform, this time with a another woman in a dress, this time Sleeping Beaty sleeping in her bed after having pricked her finger on the spinning wheel.. In the center of this platform, there was a door, one which seemed almost translucent. Slowly and carefully, she approached it, extending her hand toward knob. As she got within mere inches of her goal, a flash of light seemed to burst from under the door, encircling it. Startled, Tina jumped back as the door seemed to become completely solid.
For a moment, she thought she heard a disembodied voice say something.
Go now, for there are other worlds than this. That seemed peculiar, but at this point, Tina could hardly be surprised by the things she was experiencing. With a nod, Tina opened the door and disappeared into the light, emerging in Traverse Town for the first time.
