In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Three boys ran wild throughout the districts of Traverse Town. They often slipped in and out of underground tunnels, appearing out of nowhere, and disappearing just as quickly. Most never really saw them wander around, and a majority didn't even know they existed. But today, they left their secure tunnels. The Third District was their goal now. It was one abandoned place that they didn't think to check before. But once they learned it was abandoned, they decided to roam around even more.
"I hope you know what you are doing, Harris" Said Hammish, the youngest of the triplets. He was always the most scared, and it showed now as he kept looking around, expecting something to jump out at him.
"Relax, Hammish. You heard what the two were talking about in the Cafe. The Third District is safe now. The one in charge of this world set up defensive measures here in this District so the creatures from before couldn't come back without her knowing." Harris said, trying to be the voice of reason.
"Without her knowing, though. She'll know, but they could still come back!" Hammish responded, getting even more scared.
"It's alright, Hammish... We'll both be here to help out. We won't let any dark... things come and get us." Hubert said finally. He usually was the laziest of the bunch, but he always seemed to bring together the scared Hammish and the headstrong Harris.
"O-Okay... If you say so..." Hammish said, stepping closer to Hubert and Harris. He didn't like it here at all, but he wasn't going to abandon his brothers. They were all he had.
There was, however, one being wandering around the Third District. That being was, of course, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, wandering around the streets with his hands in his worn pockets as he had a look around.
There was really no reason for what he was doing in the Third District, other than to get away from the crowds in the first two. Getting tripped over and getting tripped by the various people walking along the streets made it hard for Oswald to resist hitting someone. While he didn't exactly care, and really wanted to commit homicide to the entire town, he had decided earlier on that it was far too cold to waste his strength.
Also, there was the other case of the freezing rabbit preferring his solitude and he just wanted to get off the world and continue his search of the Mouse King.
At the moment, he was wandering around the center of the area, looking at the graffiti that adorned the walls, and, well, having a conversation with himself.
"Someone has some fine taste. But, they could have picked a better spot to do it... No, no, this spot is nice... No it's not... Yes..."
Did he know that soon, three someone elses would be approaching his area? No, he didn't.

The triplets wandered their way into the Third District a little deeper. It was smaller than the others it seemed, but at the same time, held it's own wonders. The three looked around, wondering why it was here, and why it was feared. It seemed like a peaceful enough place as they took more tentative steps. Hammish was still rather scared, fearing something could come at any moment, while Harris was walking proudly.
Okay, so all three of them were scared. They heard nothing but bad things here. But they knew they couldn't leave this town until they'd explored everything. What kind of adventurers would they be then? But then they heard a voice, hearing something talking to itself. Hammish froze for a second until Hubert patted him on the back. The two walked together as Harris led them forward, noticing the dark rabbit that was looking at some graffiti on the wall. They tilted their head in confusion at the markings, then at each other, and finally at the rabbit. But was the Rabbit a friend or foe? Would he harm them or not?
These worlds were a strange place for the triplets, and coming across a larger talking rabbit was certainly something that they didn't expect. Hammish tugged on Harris' shirt before pointing away. He was even more scared than before, and just wanted to leave. To get back to the safety of their tunnels. The tunnels led across Traverse Town, and even into the Third District. They knew the entrances, but this was the first time they had explored the above ground.
"... I wonder what the inspiration was..." the rabbit muttered some more, before he finally turned to walk away. From the corner of one of his pitch black eyes, however, he could see a flash of red hair. No... three flashes.
... He wasn't alone? Well, wasn't that interesting. And, oh, look at that, they looked younger than nine, which meant they'd be as annoying as that one kid that kept throwing snowballs at his head. This was just pleasant.
He knew that his eyes had widened at the sight of the three identical heads. Their strange, outlandish clothing didn't seem familiar to Oswald, but as soon as he had looked at one boy, than moved to the other, it was clear that the boys were triplets. Matching clothing? Please. It made it far too obvious that they were.
It probably wasn't a good idea for them to be wandering around this area without someone being with them, which made Oswald realize they were probably vagabonds, just like him. He wasn't all that concerned about their safety (What was three lives to him, when his was more important?)... but he knew that... that her... She would have cared.
He could feel Ortensia herself prodding at his brain, at least to ask them what they were doing here all alone with just each other. He gave an irritated sigh, and stuffed his cold hands into his equally cold pockets.
Fine, then, Ortensia. He'll ask. And with that, he began to approach.

Hammish jumped at the sound of the voice coming from behind him. The other two turned around as he hid behind Hubert. Harris stepped slightly in front of them, always being the more protective one. But he didn't look like he was about to attack the rabbit. It was more that they were trying to figure out how he just talked.
"Are you talking to us?" Harris said, figuring he was seeing as he said 'You three'. But that still didn't answer the question of... How did a rabbit just talk?!??
Hammish let out a light squeak, clearly scared, but more so from the dark appearance. After the dark creatures took over their world, it was hard not to be afraid for those who had a similar appearance to them. But Hubert just sighed and stepped forward.
"Of course he's talking about us. He wouldn't have said you three if he wasn't. Duh." He said with a chuckle before turning to the rabbit. "Sorry... We didn't mean to disturb you. We just wanted to check this place out!" He said with a smile, always loving to explore new places. The three stood together, still wondering who this rabbit was, and if he was friendly or not.

Oswald's face mask rose much like a single raised eyebrow would have as one of the identical boys replied to him. One was hiding behind the others - was he scared? Well, he had good reason to be. Oswald wasn't necessarily safe, now was he?
In fact, he was downright dangerous.
"Well, whatever and all, but this isn't a good place for a bunch of young brats like you to be wandering around in," Oswald replied as soon as the second triplet apologized and explained the situation. "Jadis may have the place under wraps, but there's dangerous people around here. Don't you have parents or something to get back to?"
It wasn't until after he had said it that he realized he may have insulted or upset them with the words. These kids were out here all by themselves, after all, and competent parents wouldn't have let their triplet sons wander around out here without supervision.
Their world was clearly destroyed, after all, their outlandish clothing and wandering around out here spoke wonders to that theory. Their world was another casualty of the Mouse King's wonderful job at protecting the worlds, just like Oswald's was. Just another reason to track that bastard down and kill him personally.
But first, he desired confirmation that his theory was true. He'll just have to get answers from these boys, first.
[OOC: It's fine, it's fine, I get distracted to, sometimes!]

The three boys heard the words, about to respond, until he mentioned them having parents. The three looked together and stepped closer to each other, knowing that their parents, sister, and even caretaker had all vanished with their world. They might have escaped, but it's also likely that they did not.
"Our parents are gone..." Said Harris, the other two nodding their heads to what he had said. Neither of them really wanted to say anything about it, but this rabbit had mentioned it, and they couldn't just leave him without an answer.
"We've been wandering this town for awhile. We heard from someone that those who have lost their world can often come here, but there's been no sign of them. Both of our parents and our sister are all missing." Hubert added on, the two taking care of the youngest of the triplets who wasn't as scared now, but more sad from the fact that they were gone.
Having to fend for themselves is not something they were used to doing. Even though it had been a couple of months, the life of being princes of their land was hard to adjust away from. Little did they know that the Rabbit shared their title of nobility.
Oswald winced at their words slightly, feeling a sense of understanding and empathy toward what they were saying. He tried with all his might to jam those feelings down, the darkness in his heart straining to cover the small beam of light that had appeared from those feelings.
He knew full well what that light in his heart was. Or better, the memory that had arouse from it.
Ortensia... you're trying to tell me to do the right thing, aren't you?
He gave a sigh, and ran a hand down his long ears, pulling them back slightly. "Maybe they landed somewhere else, maybe they're..." he admitted slowly, looking down toward them, but found himself stopping.
No point in trying to give them the 'Heartless probably killed your parents and sister' speech. Sure, he had no qualms against pushing over a five year old and smacking another upside the head, but this was a different situation altogether. He could tell, these boys were having difficulty trying to fend themselves, they weren't used to it.
He quickly glanced around, as if trying to see if anyone was watching, before he folded his arms and looked back at the boys before him. "How long have you been here, exactly...? I haven't seen you before..."

The three looked over at the Rabbit when he spoke, wondering what he was going to say, but he stopped himself. The three had already thought of leaving this world using that strange crystal back in the first district. But now he was almost confirming that they should.
Then the Rabbit looked around a little before asking them how long they had been here. The three looked to each other, trying to count out the days a bit before turning back to him. "About three to four months." The one who had hid before finally speaking up so the rabbit could hear him too. The Scottish accent that they possessed was easily heard in all three, showing further that they weren't from this world.
"When we arrived, we found a strange tunnel left behind by someone. It was a small tunnel, but perfect for people of our size. And this tunnel system led all across town. It even leads here into the Third District, but we wanted to explore above ground first. That's probably why you haven't seen us here before." He said with a chuckle. And to show this, while the rabbits attention was on Harris who was talking, Hubert showed this to the Rabbit.
Having slipped into one of the passageways, he ran around and popped up behind the rabbit, tapping him gently before smiling. "Tada!" He said with a laugh as he went back over to his brothers. "They help us get around without being seen and let us explore and get information!" Hubert explained, the three now a little more open around the rabbit.
He jumped when one of them magically seemed to move from one spot to another. After he got over the desire to just cuff the kid in the head (the boy didn't do it out of malice, obviously, and they were pretty innocent), he was actually quite impressed. These boys had managed to live in Traverse Town for four months without being caught? And here, he had gotten caught by Jadis on his first day.
Still, the boys were quite amazing. In fact, he was quite envious of their ability to adapt so well to their situation. Here, he was typically a homeless vagabond wandering around the streets, and then there were these three... Adapted and practically ninjas. Scottish ninjas.
"Well, that's pretty impressive," the rabbit admitted, nodding slightly. "Four months on your own, and the three of you look pretty good and have got a good handle of things. You're doing better than me, that's for sure."
He was sure that the wear and tear that he had suffered ever since his own world had been destroyed showed - his raggedy, ripped and torn coat, the worn gloves on his hands with the holes, the tired and hungry look he always carried about him... Overall, he probably looked terrible.
... Not that he cared. His ship came first, then his health.

The three stood there, hands behind their heads and with a smile on their faces. They had definitely opened up to the Rabbit now. "It comes with practice. We built our own tunnel system back in our world. The castle was so huge, so we had to come up with some way to get around quickly without being seen." Hubert said with a laugh.
They finally got a good look at the rabbit to see that he didn't quite look so good. Perhaps he needed help? He was the first person, if you could call him that, that they had contact with since leaving their home. This was actually the most they had spoken in awhile. Sure they talked to each other from time to time, but with the curse of the bear haunting them numerous times, there were times that they didn't get to.
"What's your name, Mr. Rabbit?" Harris asked curiously. They had been talking this whole time and neither of them knew the other's name. Harris intended on fixing that now.
Oswald's first response was to tilt his head to the side. Had they not introduced themselves yet? Huh. His manners were dwindling, what with being a vagabond and all.
"Well, my name's Oswald," he introduced, even bowing slightly as a bit of a joke. If the boys once lived in a castle, then they were clearly royalty, much like he used to be. "I was once King of my land, but now I'm vagabond among worlds."
He could feel, alongside the usual hunger that constantly wracked his stomach with occasional growls, the darkness trying to pour back into his heart, since the light inside of it had brightened since he had started the conversation with the boys. It was like the three of them being there scared away the darkness somehow. It was odd.

The three gasped a bit when they heard that he was once a king before smiling. "Once a king, always a king!" They all said in unison. They were of royalty as well, so it was even more fun to say things like that. And they truly meant it as well.
"And we are the three Princes of Clan Dunbroch!" They said, parading around like royalty before laughing and giggling with each other. But then they stepped before Oswald and returned the bow. As they said, once a king, always a king. Even though their world was gone, they were still Princes, so as they saw it, he was still a king.
"Clan Dunbroch, huh?" Oswald asked with a bit of a smile, probably the first he had done in the entire conversation, let alone in a while.
He almost wished he had visited this world, before it had fallen to darkness. If these boys were any indication, considering their kindness and the light the three of them carried, it must have been a well lit place, with kind people and a wonderful aura. Probably not the place for someone like him, walking the path to darkness, but a nice place nontheless. Still...
... Something in him, past all the darkness and evil thoughts in his heart, wanted to help these boys. They had opened up to him, and he had admitted that he was once a King (or, is still, according to them), and they never gave him a reason to attack like other people in town had.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Princes of Dunbroch," he continued, putting his hands together to hide the trembling they were doing. "Hopefully, we all can be reunited with our families and kingdoms, hmm?"
Well, doubtful for him. He knew his dear Ortensia's fate. But... these boys didn't know the fates of their family members. Best to keep their spirits up. They were still young.
They didn't have to meet the same fate he did. They didn't have to end up the same way he was.
