In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Nickname: Lamech-a symbolic name. It's a name taken from Hebrew mythology. Methuselah is a legend, supposedly the oldest mortal living, who lives in secret, controlling some of the most powerful people in the universe. In fact, Methuselah translates to "puppet master" in many languages. Lamech is his offspring. (Methuselah is a reference to Vexen in this case, even though No. II is not his son.) No. II was never one for anagrams anyway.
Age: Lamech doesn't know how old he truly is; that is only information known by Vexen and select members of the Organization. (He has been in existence for 3 years, and is physically 16.)
Gender: N/A (appears male)
Species: Copy/Fake
Position: Neutral
Powers/Abilities/Techniques/Skills: Lamech was created out of darkness, and therefore the ability to wield darkness came with his 'birth.' Over time, he has lost much of his connection with Riku, and has lost many of his other's abilities.
♛~~~non-battle abilities~~~♛
DARK CORRIDORS;; Lamech was gifted the ability to create and travel though dark corridors, used for traveling between worlds. Please note that this ability may only be used once per thread, and requires thread partner(s)'s permission, unless it is the finishing post of the thread.
DARK SENSE;; A sixth sense, available to Lamech through the nose. In short, it grants him darkness and nothingness tracking capabilities. He can associate certain darkness/nothingness with a person. Requires thread partner(s)'s permission if it involves sensing the opposite character(s).
ABSORPTION;; The ability to absorb a faded being, gaining their abilities. (the three abilities with the shortest cooldown, as they are usually the weakest.) It's only possible if the being has been faulted or is in distress, as a normal creature would be too strong to absorb. Requires thread partner(s)'s permission. Requires an administrator's/intern's permission.
ILLUSIONS;; After absorbing Zexion, Lamech obtained the ability to create illusions out of battle, only involving his surroundings. He may fabricate an area into a place that he has seen before. Last's for five posts, unless stopped earlier on purpose. Please not that while these illusions are strong, they cannot be used in battle, because they require serious concentration to make.
ILLUSIONARY DISGUISE;; Another skill absorbed from Zexion. Lamech uses his illusionary powers to change his form to look like another being. Please note that if hit by a weapon/spell in this form, it will break and Lamech will transform into himself again.
♛~~~battle abilities~~~♛
DARK FIRAGA;; Lamech possesses the ability to create three flickers of fire and send them out at the foe. They will make a small explosion upon contact. Please not that this attack homes the opponent for a short amount of time. Cooldown of two posts.
HELM SPLIT;; Lamech attacks in multiple downward strikes, bringing down Soul Eater on top of the opponent. After the final third strike, the ground under the target erupts in dark fire. After this dark fire is out, Lamech is quite vulnerable to attacks, as he is just returning to the ground. Cooldown of four posts.
DARK AURA;; Lamech powers himself with a dark energy, and flies at the enemy multiple times, striking quickly and powerfully while brushing the foe. After the attack is completed, dark fire combusts underneath the opponent. Again, he is quite vulnerable after this attack. Cooldown of three posts.
DARK SPIN;; Lamech covers Soul Eater in darkness and throws it at the opponent. If it hits the first time, the blade will try and spin to hit three more times, although less powerfully than the first. Please note that if the attack misses the first time, the next three attacks are not activated, and the blade flies back to Lamech. Cooldown of four posts.
REPLICATE;; Lamech can create up to three copies of himself, the more replicas, the less powerful. They are identical to him and although their attacks are almost as strong, 2-3 hits for each will take them out. Please note that Lamech must wait until all replicas are wiped out before creating more. Cooldown of five posts, including those in which the replicas are in play.
DARK QUADRUPLE;; Lamech and his replicas rush at the opponent from the sides and front, with their swords enveloped in dark fire. Lamech comes from the center, ending the strike with two slices. Please note that this attack is only usable when the replicas are in play. It can only be used once for every set of replicas.
FAKER;; Lamech uses his abilities gained from Zexion to copy an attack from the opponent. Although he keeps this attack permanently, it takes away a great, great deal of his energy, making him prone to fainting, or worse. Please note that the attack copied will be the one with the smallest cooldown, as that is usually the weakest attack. If this is not the case, I will ask an administrator which attack would be fairest. Can only be used once per thread.
EXPLODING NOTHING;; Lamech creates a combusting ball of nothingness to be sent at the enemy. When/If it hits, it creates a small explosion. This attack homes the opponent, but is easily blocked with the swing of a sword. Cooldown of two posts.
Weapon/Items: SOUL EATER;; A blade fastened from darkness, but in Lamech's case, nothingness. It is a copy of his other's old blade, even though Lamech is not aware of this. To him, it is the Soul Eater, not just one of them. It's designed like the wing of a dragon, decorated in red and black, and is quite jagged. The most noticeable feature of the sword is the charm where the hilt meets the blade. A brilliant blue eye, only one, is catlike yet very realistic. The eye is like a keyblade's keychain, it's unique to his sword. (from what he has seen.)
Appearance: Lamech was created as a carbon copy of Riku, and thus his appearance matches his other's almost exactly. He is crowned with silvery white locks, flowing down just to his shoulders, and usually, slightly into his eyes. It's perhaps the most noticeable trait about Lamech, although it may not be his. The eyes, occasionally covered by his hair, are a solid aquamarine. They hold a trait that is normally not shared with Riku: hostility. It's true. The greenish blue color is full of just a bit more jealousy and rage, to go along with Lamech's persona. They're planted on light peach skin, which is clear of any particular blemishes, scars or tattoos; His other never had many, and therefore Lamech was created free of them.
His body is lean and muscular, he appears to be a very healthy young man. Lamech has a sturdy torso to go along with his sturdy legs. He's clad in the dark suit, a complicated outfit crafted from darkness, and for darkness. The etchings outline his muscle, and although slightly exaggerated, they appear relatively large when he's in the suit. The sleeves fade, from a shadowy purple to red, and then back to the purple again for his hands. The suit is fastened on with a belt buckle, holding a slick white cloth around his waist. This is mostly for appearance, as it is jagged and torn on the edges. Although the entire suit has a reptilian pattern, the boots are separate, colored purple and black. They are slightly oversized, but they offer quite a bit of leg room and extra space. Up until recently, the heartless symbol was printed clearly on the chest of the suit, although recently Lamech has torn in off violently, leaving a jagged v-cut in the suit.
Personality: Seemingly the most different thing between Lamech and his other. Lamech is set on being different than Riku in this way, as this is practically his only chance to be unique.
The first thing you should know, and perhaps the biggest difference, is that Lamech is aggressive. It's natural for him, to be quite angry and rough with people. It's a reckless trait, as it causes him to lash out at those above him quite often. It comes with a certain lack of control, that is other used to have, but has corrected. Lamech is uncontrollable, even to himself. He's hurt others before, and if you get him angry enough, he might just do it again. Despite his aggressive nature, Lamech does care about others. Very much, in fact. His aggressive side often leads to independence, especially from those he loves, as Lamech is terrified of hurting anyone who is close to him, and he is well aware that he loses control often. Don't take it the wrong way though, he's quite protective and defensive, of himself and others. Lamech does not like to speak about himself, as he, deep down, is aware of his flaws. Talking about them often makes him extremely defensive and angry, another result of his hot temper.
Lamech is also more stubborn than his original, he'll never, ever stop rebelling against those disliked. This is really because he wants to be his own person, in any way he possibly can, and that includes rebelling against power. In the past, Lamech strived to be independent, and he has finally achieved that goal. He insists that he never needs another's help. He wants to do everything by himself from now on, that way he can't hurt anyone. Although it is a good thing in some cases, Lamech gets awfully lonely. He doesn't recognize the feeling, and he's not one to show that he wants to be around people. The truth is, by isolating himself, he's began walking down the path that Riku did all of those years ago, when he gave in to the darkness. He's not aware of this either, but he's always been determined not to let that happen.
Perhaps the best thing about Lamech is his loyalty. He will always stand by those he cares for, no matter what happens. He'll do anything for those people, as there's so few of them. It ties in with his protective attitude, he doesn't want to let anyone get hurt or feel bad, and therefore he'll go to any extent to protect those rare people. He's not one to betray anyone; he's confident of his choice in 'friends,' and instead chooses to trust them completely, because if they feel the way he does, they'll never fail him.
Original World: Castle Oblivion Current World: He has no specific home, instead he has become a wanderer.
Movie/Video Game(s):Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
History:
"Fakes should be destroyed!!"
Children are born unique, even when they arrive in sets or two or three; they're different. It's the way things work, it's the way things are created. Natural beings are created differently, each and every one is unique in their very own way.
Lamech broke the rule. He was born out of darkness, a copy, only made to achieve a simple goal. Then he would be put out of his misery. Yes, you may be wondering, they were planning to shut him down after he did his job, as the Organization would have no further need for him. But that's not where his story begins, that's where it ends.
After his "birth," Lamech received his orders and went on with them. He was a tool of the mind, used to torment his original, drive him crazy. Riku was meant to be used as well, but before that could happen, Lamech had to get him there. He had to convince Riku to give in to the darkness inside of him. So he confronted Riku, and lost miserably to the boy after angering him with his taunting. Lamech had failed his only job, and reported back with no words, only shame. It was a this point that a new idea was whispered through the group of traitors, and to Lamech's disappointment, his memories were rewritten, created to match his original's exactly, except for one vital part: Kairi.
Lamech was convinced Naminé was his playmate on the island, and he rejected Sora after being convinced he was a traitor. A promise was made; he'd always protect Naminé from danger, and for safety, he was given her good luck charm, which would always guarantee his return. Or so he thought. He met Sora in the castle, and barely escaped after a fight, failing yet again in his quest to eliminate the boy who he thought to be dangerous. Lamech wouldn't let him hurt Naminé.
Protecting her meant fighting him, sadly. And when Lamech did fight Sora, the copy lost miserably, just like he had before. Not that he remembered, of course. It was from this point on that Lamech confronted Sora periodically, the further Sora proceeded in the White Castle, the stronger Lamech became. They would clash quite violently, but with the same outcome: A confused, angry Lamech would hobble back to his queen, his princess, his mission, Naminé. Sora insisted that they protect Naminé together, but Lamech refused the idea, furious that Sora was trying to sneak his way into his heart again. Lamech would insist that Sora was not a part of his heart, or Naminé's. He swore that he would protect the blonde witch, and he wouldn't take any help from Sora.
This was about the time he had learned of his creator's death, but Lamech took nothing of it. There was no sadness, no sharp pain in his chest to hear this. He had always protected Naminé on his own free will, he had stopped listening to orders long ago. He had made a promise, after all. Lamech would keep her good luck charm until he was sure Naminé was safe, that was decided long ago, and a beautiful island fill of luscious plants and cool sand, that stretched out to the clearest, open blue waters...
Of course he met Sora yet again, and just like before, a fight occurred. An especially dark one, as Sora would refuse to believe that Lamech made the promise those years ago. In fact, the brown haired boy had his own good luck charm, and he tried to convince Lamech that his papou charm was a fake. Although he never quite wanted to believe that was true, perhaps it was the fact that he had lost yet again that made him believe it. Still, he would protect Naminé, even without the charm. He didn't need games or good luck. And that's exactly why the poor copy dropped the star, and fled.
As stated before, Lamech still would not give in. He was completely convinced that Sora was a large threat to the girl that was so close to him, his dear Naminé. And this is when he met Sora once more, and even though he may have doubted himself, he was at his strongest point then, his anger drove him to insane levels of might. And although Sora may have originally defeated him yet again, Lamech wouldn't stop. He needed to get rid of Sora once and for all; he needed to destroy the boy in order to protect her-
White. Protect Naminé, Protect Naminé, Protect Naminé. That's all the fake could remember, his memory had been swept clean by his "Kairi," by none other than Naminé herself, the witch of memories. His fake heart, his fake memories were gone, and although he did not know it, Lamech had just gotten a second chance, a second birth to be his own person in this twisted universe he was brought in to.
Although he was very confused, Lamech's purpose and past was revealed by the savage nymph, Larxene. The fake knows of his other know, and he is aware that his entire existence has been a lie, a cruel lie, designed by Naminé and slapped on to his heart like a band-aid. Larxene just ripped it off. There was nothing left to do or say, and the confused clone ran away again, from Sora, from Larxene, and from the formerly important Naminé.
Lamech is ashamed of this time, for this is where he doubted Naminé, where he pondered protecting her, or letting her suffer like he did. She lied to him, and yet, she was lied to herself, by the controlling members of the evil Organization. Did she deserve Lamech's protection? Maybe not. But he would give it to her regardless, because that's what friends do. And even though it may have been a lie previously, Lamech was confident to call himself Naminé's friend now, and that was the thought that got him through his next actions.
The replica traveled through the white castle as fast as he could, and he slipped into the 12th floor, with intentions to help Sora, and help Naminé survive the struggle that he was sure was going to occur. And he does. Lamech made an oath, even if it was fake. He'd keep it until the very end, and that's why he protected Naminé. And now it's the end of the journey with the witch, and the boy with deep cerulean eyes. He's a fake, and he doesn't belong with them. And so Lamech left, just has he had come. A copy.
But he doesn't want it to stay that way.
Lamech knew what he had to do, if he wanted to be a real being. He needed to kill his other, and only then could he actually be unique and different. And that's exactly what he was planning to do. Unfortunately, the plan was interrupted by a certain spiky red head, who brought Lamech to Zexion, master of illusions. This was a way to defeat the original Riku, by absorbing Zexion's powers and becoming stronger. That way, Lamech would have something Riku didn't. Illusion.
When he learned of his absorption ability, Lamech didn't hesitate. He gained illusionary abilities that Zexion had access to, and he set off once again, this time to find Riku and bring an end to him. Lamech found his original in a memory of Twilight Town, and a fight ensued. The clone embraced his darkness and channelled it, whilst the real Riku was fighting two forces, his own darkness, and himself.(quite literally.)
The battle was fierce, but eventually it slowed down, just as Lamech did. The original had won, and No. II slipped into darkness unconsciously, never to see the light of day again. At least, that's what he had heard.
Years later, teal eyes open in a familiar white castle, to glance out the window at the gaping hole in the night sky. The heart shaped moon had disappeared, and the Organization had fallen. It was a small sign, but Lamech took it in gladly, and left the castle immediately. His current goal is the same as before: Eliminate Riku. And he won't stop until it's complete.
Role Playing Sample:
Everywhere he looked, there was only white. The color of light, it repels the dark and is pure and clean, made to deflect darkness. Darkness. Just like me. The thought rang out true and clear through an empty conscience, but Lamech could hear it. He heard every last detail, down to the small inhale, exhale pattern. The copy heard himself. He wasn't dead. He was alive.
Eyelids rose, only to find more white, glistening and blinding to the teal eyes that stared at them so intently. Lamech felt a thrill; he was here, he was alive again, and he could continue the goal that taunted him. Eliminate him. His history won't be repeated, Lamech will make sure of that. The replica wouldn't give up until he was himself, and no one else. He wouldn't give in to his fate, and therefore, he was going to finish this. Once and for all.
Although the smirk on his face was broad, a certain dread came to be alive again. Everything was so bright, so new, and Lamech felt so old compared to his surroundings. Sure, the marble was constructed long, long ago, but the silver haired boy took it all in as a new memory. Everything's changed. When Lamech left, the castle was full. Now it was barren and dusty, long forgotten by many who had trekked here years ago. There was another downside to his rebirth per say, and it is, quite literally, that it wasn't a true rebirth. Because Lamech was still himself, or rather, Lamech was still Riku. Part of the clone wished he could have been reincarnated completely. All of his memories and records wiped from the universe completely. A new start, a new life...It was what he truly wanted. But it was sadly impossible, the Riku Replica ground his teeth and pushed the thought aside.
If he was going to get a new start, he was going to have to do it by himself. Just like everything else in his twisted existence. Lamech was completely alone in this, and he knew it. No one wanted to assist him anyway, and he doesn't need anyone. Lamech wasn't a charity case. He was going to do this himself, for honor; for integrity. That's what heroes did. And although Lamech was never a hero, he couldn't be. It's impossible with his other existing. Riku has filled the slot of the hero, and Lamech has been shoved into the villain category, much to his own disappointment. That's going to be changed. thought the replica.
Walking felt foreign as Lamech stumbled over to the closest window he could see, and stared up at the night sky. Empty. Moon-less, Heart-less. The sky was heartless. This was his chance.
And so a rogue fled from an empty castle that night, swaddled in darkness and anger. He was going to change his fate.
No matter how long it took.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? Not much. Just for clarification, the "no. II" usage is only slightly canon, as Xion was created first by Vexen, making her No. I, while Riku Replica is No. II.
I also know that Ellie has made a wonderful version of this character, and if I cannot make my own version, I would be happy to audition for hers. Just let me know!
