In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

I'll admit it's a weird one for me. I've been a fan since the first game came out, yet I've only started playing the games seriously in the past few years, though I've done research on the lore quite a bit beforehand. That said, I've run into a problem: Even after months of trying, I haven't been able to successfully start up or partake in a serious Kingdom Hearts roleplay. Why? For a while, I wasn't sure. Maybe it was my approach. Maybe the game wasn't as popular as I'd thought. Maybe I'm just picky.
Then, I realized that the real reason was much simpler. I was looking in the wrong place. I kept trying to start up extremely specific threads tailored to a series that even I have to admit is a bit harder to get into than most. And so, I decided to do away with the general boards and aim at a bit more focused demographic. Thus why I'm here.
And while I'm here, I intend to finally do something with the ideas I've cooped up. Though the rules against noncanonical Worlds kind of cut most of my concepts in half, I still have plenty of things I want to elaborate upon, starting with my character 'Gomas'. My first objective is to pump out a character sheet, then see what I can do from there!
All that said, I'd greatly appreciate any form of advice other users have for me before I screw something up... Primarily because of the certainty that if I don't, then I will screw up. Badly. So with that said, any tips y'all can offer me?
On another note, I'm quite interested in taking part in the "Dark XII", though it seems a bit... Exclusive. Everywhere, I see warnings about needing permission from staff, but I'm afraid I don't know how to go about obtaining such permission. Again, I ask for advice here, seeing as I doubt my ability to make the staff love me before the slots get taken up.
Lemme start of with a "Wow". You and I were in the same boat. That being said, I'm kinda proud of your mission. I'm honestly looking forward to seeing your work, since you sound like you've got plans out the back door.
On the other hand, the site is kinda on hold for a while. Massive update that's sure to make the site even better. Think of it as a fine cheese that is aging to perfection, or perhaps interest on that money you lent your distant cousin. We might have to wait, but it'll be all the better when it arrives!
So I'm looking into this Dark Twelve thing and decide I might go for it, but one thing still confuses me- What would be the "History" of a Heartless? A recap of its original life, maybe? I'm not entirely sure.
I'm a bit rusty on the subject. A recap on their original life would entail involvement with its other half, the Nobody, so I doubt that would be it. I'm assuming that the 'History' is a brief backstory, you know? Like, since they were brought back into existence, what have they done? have they been found by the Dark XII yet, and have they been willingly integrated into their society?
