In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

So yeah... Yuffie wants a discussion that isn't like the other one (staff, you know what I'm talking about). So, December 2nd is the official release date of Re: CoM for North America.
Any thoughs, opinions? Anyone?
EDT: Double-checked, I got the wrong date. I've got bad memory, shush! D<
I brought you this news, Yuf-Yuf, don't you dare steal my thunder.
My thoughts? I'm hoping people invest enough in it on the marketplace that someone at SquareEnix US thinks "Wow, maybe Final Mix+ isn't such a bad idea."
I never finished the GBA version of CoM. I was either too ADD to complete it, or I couldn't take the card system coupled with the graphics. It felt like a step back to the original NES to me. Giving me a full 3-D, dubbed experience rather than reading a bunch of text is already a bonus for me. I'll buy it and finish it within a few days of it being released.
Moreover, I'm just excited we get a "new" game in between now and Birth by Sleep.

Sorry, I'm lightning, and lightning comes before thunder~ I just figured someone woulda started a board about this by now =.=;; *knew about it the first day the news was out, kthnxbai*
Dubbed helps, makes it seem easier to me. I just really hope they don't change the voices too much. I've heard rumors (which are usually inaccurate, but I need it for the example) that they've picked Yuri Lowenthal to do the voicing. So, for any of you that aren't complete anime-tards, let me sum it up. Yuri (haha) voices Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto. If this turns out to be true I fear for the rest of the Organization. Larxene's was perfect, I think they need to find someone like that, they just need to be sure to not kill the entire Organization... since some of the best ones-- in my opinion-- were in Re: CoM.
Also... do you think they'll still have Haley voice Sora? After-all, Haley's voice has changed between the first and second game.
I dunno, I think I'm just being so caring over the English VAs because they'll also have to be in 358/2 Days.
I dunno, this will be Haley's first Disney project since his run in with the law a few years back with those drug charges. (Read all about it)
I hope he comes back, it wouldn't be Sora without him, IMHO, and God knows they still back Miley Cyrus after she continually posted skank pictures of herself on the web, and that Vanessa girl from High School Musical after the nude picture debacle. Puberty wreaks havoc upon VA's. Soon, that kid who did Alphonse from FMA will sound like Roy Mustang...
EDIT: Addendum: Square Enix doesn't seem to pick VA's based on popularity. They do it based on A) who is fitting and B) who is avaliable, barring the first choice isn't (I.E. Sean Astin over the guy from the original Hercules movie, or Crispin Freeman over Orlando Bloom in Port Royal)
I have faith they won't make Re:CoM suck.

Hehe, maybe Sora'll be the new Ash Ketchum, going through a new VA around each season. That'd be pretty rich. xD
But yeah, I'm looking forward to it, especially since CoM was such a bore with all the reading in English, reading the fan translated stuff was boring too, but now it should be good. Just gotta adjust to that card system now...
If the voice acting comes out bad, then I'll just mute the game during those cut scenes. *shrugs* I really don't mind much for voice acting, just the thought of Re:CoM coming stateside is good enough for me. That and getting to see You-Know-Who in his full CG glory~ *fangirl squeal*
I dont know what to think of this game. I think some of the fights will be alot easier with a 3d fighting ground, others will be alot harder. Re: COM should be a great game though. I cant wait so see Larexene in her full, 3D, Crazy Awesomness.
On the other hand. I hate the card system. I assumed that it was just for COM for the GBA and if they were going to remake it for the Playstation System, they would return to the original format. I really wish they would. So I have mixed feelings about it.

Yeah, the 3D fights are looking much more promising than the original. There was never that much space to fight in the original.
As for the card system, that was pretty much what made up the game, next to it's plot. As much as I'd like to see it gone as well, it's just one of those things that couldn't be dropped.
Are you SERIOUS! Why has it taken me so long to stumble across this thread? *Very, very, very excited now*
Great. Just great. How am I supposed to get through the Hunting week knowing this? You can't honestly expect me to stay still very long after I've retained such knowledge!
Okay, yes.. Can't contain my fangirl-dom. *Mimics Larxene's fangirl-squeal, adding a flail for emphasis*
I know the only thing that'll be on my list for Christmas. >.>
