In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There was a whirl of digitalised light as Jesse dropped down onto the Grid. A little disorientated, he looked around at the flat plain before him. 'Wha... what's going on...'
He'd signed himself up for a tournament, but the details had been lost to him- all he knew was that he was going to fight someone, though he didn't seem to have arrived yet. Or it could be a she. He winced at that thought. He didn't like hitting girls.
Since the plain appeared to be empty, all he could do was to stand his ground and wait for his opponent to appear.
Red Mage appeared in the arena, and right away felt like he belonged.
Space Paranoids was, at its roots, a program. A realm consisting of arbitrary rules and regulations shaping an area outside of traditional reality. While somewhat more than that with the addition of Sentience to the equation, that just meant he had to account for Roleplaying.
Red Mage's grin looked awkward against the glowing red lines on his cloak and his white hair. This was what he was meant to do- enter a system and learn it. His opponent was human (so was he, but only for skill points) and looked like a fair challenge.
((Seeing as how the other Judges appear to be lazy or otherwise preoccupied, I will be taking some of the judging. *Sigh*
That said,))
Seeing as how none of the Judges had shown up yet, possibly due to the altercation in town, the Automated Starter and Decider of the Fights (ASDF) started up.
A large 3 floated in mid-air. Followed shortly by a 2. A second later, 1 displayed itself. FIGHT!
Jesse looked at the red-garbed man in front of him. Or, at least, he looked like a man. He looked like one of those men which came out of video games he'd played when he was about six. But he kenw never to underestimate somebody for their appearance, and so, he held out his hand, and called forth Leslie. The shining sword flashed into existence, and he immediately took his stance.
He didn't know what this person was capable of just yet. He wouldn't use his pictures until he'd worked out a good enough calculation of his powers. No point trying to paint a picture when there was no design on the paper.
One free action to draw his twin swords. A feat allowed him to make a spot check as another free action: 6. His opponent was a young human male with a sword. Obviously of the ragtag-party-with-unclear-goals-and-pure-hearts division- those were tough. Never one to waste time when it was his turn in battle, Red Mage did a charging slash with both weapons at Jesse, a full-round ability.
The first sword sliced Jesse for 3+3 DMG, while the other one missed its mark due to Red Mage's high velocity. He came to a stop in the square next to Jesse. He wasn't in the habit of introducing himself to NPC Trash Mobs, which were always the first fight in an arena.
For those uneducated in the ways of D&D, Gorrad rolled 2 twenty sided dice, and got an 8 and a 2. Then, added his attack modifier (+5) to both rolls, giving him 13 and 7. Any roll lower than the Jesse's ability to dodge/ RM failure to hit (11) will automatically miss, and any roll higher will connect if Jesse were to do nothing. And yes, Gorrad really rolled real dice.
Don't get me started on why 3d6>1d20. Because d20s suck.
A question, Gorrad. Are your swords 1d4+3?))

((I'm not really sure how to respond to all those figures, so please correct my post))
Jesse's eyes widened as Red Mage came flying at him with both swords drawn. Taken a little off-guard by the attack (and somehow reminded of numbers) he summoned up his Terabithian agility and stepped back from the Red Mage's striking range.
This was a really strange fight, he knew so from the Red Mage's first attack. It seemed entirely flawless, but completely fixed, like an image in a pop-up book. There were no wasted movements, but there were no particularly useful movements either.
Well, nothing was going to happen by just standing still and taking attacks. Maybe it was his turn to strike this time. Jesse called on his speed enhancing abilities and charged forward at Red Mage, aiming for a by-passing strike, followed by a backhand slash.
((The thing you have to take into account is that there's really no dodging. Either they hit or they don't, but with RM that's left to chance, not any particular skill of the opponent.
Whether he hits or not is calculated based on two things- the enemy's armor and dexterity (ability to dodge). Unless I'm mistaken, Jesse is in no armor, so there's nothing for that, and I'm calculating him as having a dexterity that's slightly better than your average human adult male. If either of these are wrong, let me know, but otherwise when it's a hit it's a hit.))
((Okay, modified post to remove the blocking factor due to the negligence of real-time blocking- or something like that. Now he dodges using his agility enhancement.
Just a question- Jesse can summon armour to cover his body. Does this affect the calculations at future points at all?))
