In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Ikari narrowed her eyes as she saw what Leon was doing. Just like he was immune to fire, so was she... but that didn't mean that the clothes she was wearing were.
Great... get ready to run, Hikari...
Bracing herself, Ikari looked to the flames that started to form around his weapon and anticipated his next move. She didn't know Leon or his moves all that well, however, just seeing whatever it was he was preparing to do... it didn't look good for her, that was for sure.
((post of fail because this took way too long and my muse's action plan has been diminished D<))
So... fire wasn't going to work, was it? Leon wouldn't be so sure.
Leon brought down Lionheart with the report of gunfire, feeling the harsh vibrations of it in the explosive chamber within the crystalline material as Blasting Zone came crashing down on Ikari.
Unexpected? Yes and no. One could tell a lot about a gunblade hearing it once. But well... Leon hadn't trained all his life to just let that be all its secrets.
Hot, hot... yes, that was what she was supposed to be feeling... but no... that's probably what her clothes would be screaming if they could talk. Though, something that Ikari noticed as she tried making her way through the barrage of flames was that as the embers ate away at the clothes that she wore, the actually regenerated. Huh... the wonders of being in a computer simulated world. Thanks for small miracles.
... Hot? FUCK, HOT!
This wasn't just a normal fire based attack... it was a powerful fire based attack. Sure, this raven-haired fire user was immune to most fire attacks, but only up to Fira. This was definitely more powerful than that.
Get away from here, get away from here, get away from here... Get. Away. From. HERE!
Much easier both thought and said rather than done. However, running and then lunging out of the flames, Ikari skidded across the floor of the grid and pushed herself back up, coughing as she did so. Maybe going about it the way she did wasn't the best of ideas she had in a while, considering it knocked the air out of her a bit. Though... getting out of that was a relief... But now what?
Leon was a user. He wasn't really worried about flames or getting hurt too badly. The best part of being a program at the moment was that it was easy-- no lasting damage. Sure, it said something about yourself when you could trust your wellbeing more to a computer than you could real people, but hey... no one exactly gave Leon points for being social, either. It all evened out.
A smirk crossed the brunette's expression, hidden by dark bangs as his body swung around, the distant scent of gunpowder, the fire, oil... He had a mastery of his limits, a capability he held even above Cloud in terms of things. The energy didn't just stifle off like it used to during the long training days at Balamb Garden. No... this was something else. Lionheart was a difficult weapon in the sense that he no longer hand range, couldn't hit Ikari from this distance. Not with bullets anyways.
The fire clearing, the phantom scent of smoke mostly in Leon's memory rather than virtual reality, he made an observation: the fire hadn't done what he'd hoped-- someone as young and inexperienced should have been overwhelmed by that. Hm. Sharp grey eyes tracked, and Leon's body was following the curve, the rhythm of battle, and barreling after Ikari, mindful to keep his wits about him. No ranged attacks, but he still had enough in his for something else, given he had the chance to catch up.
What now?
Hmph. Try to keep up, girl. You're on the defensive, and Leon planned to keep it that way.
Ikari sat there for a few seconds, trying to catch her breath. She'd only narrowly escaped actually being singed pretty severely herself. Raising her gaze a bit, Ikari narrowed her eyes at Leon. In her mind, she knew that she wasn't going to win, she just wanted an interesting match. She was getting it, that was for sure. Though, just wearing the brunet down was going to be something the fire-user wanted to accomplish.
Think of something... anything... but what? As the raven haired pushed herself up from the ground back into a standing position, she took in a breath. Already she could feel where her body was bruised and sore from the match so far.
Speed... the minor injuries didn't affect her running ability, and that was good as far as Ikari was concerned. Leon seemed as if he were slower than her. Hmpf, so maybe... speed over power for the rest of this? Seemed like a plan.
Alright then, so mote it be!
Giving a slight grin, Ikari placed her hands on her hips and gave Leon a skeptical, yet playful, look. Perhaps all she needed to do was use her body language to provoke him. It was worth a shot.
