In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Eureka. Greek, for "I have found it." Attributed to many, plus one red haired teen. That person was Kaze. He couldn't believe himself. It was such a dumb thing, such a dumb thing indeed...
He had the book in his possession. It was a large book, with pictures and a description of every world. With the help of his crystal, he was allowed instant passage between the worlds. It worked. Given to him by Yen Sid himself so long ago. He had walked out of Radiant Garden and took some time for himself to look through, and noticed a large castle. Where does a king live?
He couldn't believe it. The answer to what he had been seeking had been staring him in the face for so long. He was almost shaking with anticipation. He couldn't help but slightly recognize this place. Why? It seemed like any storybook castle, maybe that was why? Or had he been here?
That was just a dream. It could not have happened. Not in a million years, ever. Period. Mice didn't walk, let alone fight. He hadn't seen any of those people since... But maybe he did. They were faint slivers of memory, taken over by more recent affairs and his own building paranoia.
He was a marked target for anyone of darkness, really. He had a keyblade, that was all they needed to justify their means. He assumed he was laying low enough to slip under their radar, but he was sure he was wrong in assuming that. They were just waiting, watching for an opportune moment to arise and strike... Maybe the thorns were some kind of an omen. Oh well. He didn't care about that.
Thus, Kaze found himself running up to the door and stopping abruptly at it. He started knocking rapidly, once, twice, and onward until he stopped at ten.
"Is there a king here? At all, a king?" He shouted at the front door, like it was going to give him a reply. He wished it would, but that wasn't going to happen anywhere. This was his only lead, he didn't know what to do or where to go if this didn't work out... Oh, what bitter irony that would be. He didn't even bother to satisfy his paranoia by checking behind him, just in case there was someone there. He couldn't care less.
He sighed, frowned, and turned around to his friend, Kira, who came along with him.
"Y'think we're going to get an answer?" One could tell he was in anticipation, nervous almost. But he was almost there. His quest was almost done. It was a big moment in his life.

Her attention was drawn to the thorn covered castle immediately, her grey eyes scanning the thorns and the thickness of the vines that grew up and out over the castle. Whatever kind of magic this was, it was much more advanced that her own Thorn Trap technique that she had taught herself to alter from Root Snare. In all honestly, Kirata was fairly fascinated by the advanced magics that were put into this... fascinated and a little uneasy both. Seeing them, though... they looked out of place among something that seemed to see more peaceful days -- not too long ago, no less.
There was something about being here that made Kirata grateful that she had changed into her other outfit instead of constantly wearing her white dress and dark blue, satin sash. Her dual spiked fans, Aero and Aresna were easily accessible and she could move a lot more easily in this wardrobe as opposed to that dress (even though she liked it a lot). She also was really rather glad that this outfit included leather boots -- walking around barefoot looked to be one of the worst suggestions one could have possibly made while walking around here at this present time.
Brushing her ginger hair out of her eyes for a moment, Kirata turned her attention to Kaze once she realized that he was actually starting to talk to her. She had to stay silent for a few moments to actually process what it was that he had just said to her before the words came together and it actually clicked in her mind the question that he had asked. She had noticed him pounding on the doors of the castle before, so it must've been something about receiving an answer from whomever was within and behind those great doors that stood tall before them.
"Hmm... well... maybe. We can just wait and see~" Kirata responded, placing her hands together and looking to Kaze with a smile. That was one of the things about her, even when things looked... odd... she could manage to keep a smile on her face and at least try and brighten things up, even if her cheerful attitude didn't make some people there at the current time happy as well. It's the thought that mattered, and as long as she could keep that cheerful perspective about herself, she could only hope that it would be contagious and spread to her friends and the people that she was with.
She turned her gaze up to look at more of the castle.
Wow... it was like in fairytale books, there was nothing really like that to be seen over back in Twilight Town. Sure, there had been castles, but they were in ruins.... This, however... this was something that was still glimmering and standing tall. The thorns around it, though... that was going to have to be something that was going to have to get mended in the near future, or something. Such a lovely place shouldn't have it's beauty hindered by wretched weeds that grew upon it.

Who was a king? Some would say a king is the noble, brave leader of a kingdom. The one who all look up to for protection, wisdom and guidance. A king held all of the power over his kingdom and protected his people with his life. He would stand by his people through the good and the bad and would never turn his back on those he loved. Yes, this was the description of the noble king, but, like any other leadership figure, the noble king had a dark cousin. Some would describe a king as being the dictator of many poor and undereducated inhabitants. He was the one who lived for greed and for power. The one who cared only for himself and his army. A king who fought ruthlessly to take over smaller, weaker territories, who let his people starve and live in poverty while he feasted and lived within a golden castle. A king could be two entirely different people, but there was a king unlike no other who lived in the Castle of Disney. This king was known as King Mickey.
A mouse-like figure was perched upon a tall cylindrical-shaped hedge. His large round ears were perked and ready to pick up even the slightest sounds coming from the garden below. His breathing was quick, but shallow, as if he had just come from a long battle. An over-sized, shiny, silver key rested in his lap and seemed to whisper calming messages through the air.
Suddenly the large ears twitched signaling the presence of a sound. Someone or something had appeared in the King's gardens. He opened his coal-black eyes and peered down from the shrub. His gaze rested upon a red-hair boy who was holding a book tightly in his arms. A second human appeared; a girl with ginger hair. Mickey sensed no threat from these humans, but with the current condition of his castle it was difficult to not act hostile.
He lept from the shrub and landed silently behind the two people, Keyblade drawn, but not help in an offensive stance. "Who are you?" he asked in a high, squeaky, but demanding and authoritative voice.

"Hmm... well... maybe. We can just wait and see~"
The obvious answer. Normally, Kaze would be slightly annoyed at someone for saying this, Kaze could figure that out by himself. But, there was something in the way she had put it... The red haired teen didn't know, he only assumed that she did something right.
"Yeah..." It was all he managed to say before turning back and trying to peek through the small crack in the door. It proved a waste of time. He sighed and leaned against the wall, opening his book and flipping through it.
Where would he check next? He flipped through, pausing at a few worlds, Twilight Town and Destiny Islands in particular. Twilight Town was... Well, as close to a home as he had. He grew up there, and he knew its ins and outs. And Destiny Islands was a nice place. Plus, with Destiny in its name, there was bound to be something there, at least of minor interest.
Did something just move? No, it couldn't have been. Paranoia was such a terrible thing, there was nobody here except for Kira and himself. Right?
"Who are you?" No way. This could not be him, that was just a dream, right? Just a daydream of something that could have been... He turned anyway toward the small figure, who clutched a keyblade. And it was, indeed, the one who he had remembered. He held the book under one of his arms.
"We're friendly," he said, making no move to attack at all, "I'm Kaze," he said, preferring to let Kira answer for herself. Still being cautious, Kaze watched the presumed King's movements. As far as he knew, with all the unusual things that have happened, he could be a hologram or something, just ready to leap into action and strike them both down where they stood. He debated summoning his keyblade, but ultimately decided against it. After all, that could easily be taken as a sign of hostility. That would get them nowhere in terms of getting answers, and what he had came for.
He just hoped that Kira wouldn't take offense to Kaze's actions. How would she? Kaze found himself, yet again, debating an almost impossible 'what if?' that would haunt him for a while. Why did he do that so often?
Continuing to look up at the castle, Kirata fiddled with her fingers and then started to count the number of [random] patterns that she noticed as she glazed over the layout of the castle and it's grounds. Perhaps she was too easily distracted for her own good sometimes, or maybe it was normal at this point and time? It wasn't like Kira and Kaze really had anything to be doing at the moment....
Well...
Kirata looked over to Kaze, he had a book open and he was propped up against the wall. In all actuality, Kirata was pretty curious to know what exactly was in that book of his. She never really asked... and it would have been extremely rude of her to have snooped through his belongings. It may have been something that Hikari would do, but that was her, and Kirata was a separate person all together.
"Who are you?"[/b]
She heard a different voice then turned to the source. Just who was it... she didn't see anyone at eye level. Turning her gaze down, she saw the source of the voice and then a sudden rush of being a girl bubbled up into her persona as she clapped her hands together and then quickly crouched down to be at eye-level with the creature, the words escaping her lips being, "Awe! How absolutely adorable! A little mouse warrior!"
That was the reply. Mickey could easily tell that this boy telling the truth. He sighed away his fears and cautiousness and sent his Keyblade away with a rapid spark.
The large book the boy was carrying was unlike anything the king had ever seen before. What was Kaze using it for and why did he seem to treat it like it was his world?
Mickey took a breath and was about to reply when suddenly a girl appeared right in his face. "Awe! How absolutely adorable! A little mouse warrior!" Taken aback, the mouse king narrowed his eyes, took a step back and gave the girl a strange look. "I am King Mickey Mouse, the King of this world and of Disney Castle." He recalled his Keyblade and lept upon a nearby shrub to increase his height. "I am also a Keyblade master and the student of the great wizard, Master Yen Sid. i am no little mouse warrior..."

"Awe! How absolutely adorable! A little mouse warrior!"
...
Kaze sighed inwardly. Out of all the things she could have said, she remarked upon his being an adorable mouse warrior. Try as Kaze might, he just couldn't become annoyed. He had become too friendly towards her, and he understood that she was just like that. After all, it wasn't often Kaze truly thought of someone as a real friend. There had been only a few so far, but those few he knew he could rely on and count on.
"I am King Mickey Mouse, the King of this world and of Disney Castle." So, it wasn't a dream after all. No wonder. He could recall it vividly, everything that had taken place... It made his stomach turn into a knot. Why, then, didn't the teen ask the King his questions then? He felt stupid. Stupid, and lost.
"I am also a Keyblade master and the student of the great wizard, Master Yen Sid. i am no little mouse warrior..." This sparked Kaze's interest. Yen Sid? He was the same guy that gave him the book, and the crystal, and told him to find the very person who was standing in front of him. So, questions, or an explanation? He assumed the latter would be best, as Kaze might be given some hospitality and a chance to do the former.
"Yen Sid..." recognition filled Kaze's voice as he continued, "Yen Sid gave me this book and told me to find you... I think it's because of this," as he finished his sentence, he summoned his own keyblade and looked to Mickey, showing no signs of hostility. He didn't intend to get in a fight, or to put his life or Kira's in danger. He just silently hoped that from now on, perhaps she would let him do the talking. It didn't matter much, as Kaze was dead set on getting his answers anyway, but judging from Mickey's reaction he assumed it would just be... Better.
There were things that people liked to call 'personal bubbles'... these 'personal bubbles' didn't really exist as far as Kirata was concerned. There was something about physical contact that made the ginger-haired girl think it was okay to disregard it to an extent. However, when the the not-so-small mouse gave her a look, Kirata straightened up and took a couple of small steps back and looked down at him.
"I am King Mickey Mouse, the King of this world and of Disney Castle."
She watched him as he jumped up onto a shrubbery and now looked at him at eye level. So this little mouse warrior was the king of this castle? Wow... never judge a book by it's cover... never ever.... That's what her magic teacher had always said, and this case was just as liable to that as any. This mouse was a king... he had even stated so -- there was nothing in his voice or expression that led Kirata to actually distrusting the mouse.... Just the way that he carried himself was all that she really needed.
"I am also a Keyblade master and the student of the great wizard, Master Yen Sid. I am no little mouse warrior..."
"Yen Sid gave me this book and told me to find you... I think it's because of this."
Yen Sid, Yen Sid... why did that name ring a bell in her head? Who mentioned it? Just... why was it so fuzzy in her mind? That was something that grew from a ringing remembrance to something that annoyed her greatly. Even though her annoyance at that didn't show on her face, it was almost noticeable by the way that she had fallen silent and had a thoughtful look etched upon her face. Yen Sid... Yen Sid.... Ugh, the name was so familiar to Kirata, so familiar! Where had she heard it?
Watching as Kaze summoned his own Keyblade, her eyes traveled back to where King Mickey was and then it clicked in her mind.
Terina had spoken highly of the wizard... so much so that it seemed that she was either very envious of him or admired him greatly... or it could have even been a mixture of both. Kirata only knew that he was a wizard that was very powerful... and she would have relished a chance to have met with this Yen Sid... now that she actually remembered where she had heard his name and the small details that her magic trainer had said to both she and Hikari.
Sorry... I wasn't quite sure what to put here... and apparently, neither was my muse .D.;;
