In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

For those of y'all who are new to the site, I thought I should describe Team Austin. As the name suggests, TA is a group of roleplayers from Austin, Texas. We were founded in 2002 by myself, Sephiroth, Locue, and Serif. Most of us are on WD. The point of this thread is to go into some detail about who the members are so people can know what we mean by Team Austin.
Note: Team Austin is not 'Official'. We aren't a clique, we don't think we're better than others, and we aren't elitist. There's no applications, no secret meetings (though we do have cool rings), nothing but a group of friends who happen to hang out and RP a lot.
Sephiroth: Sephiroth, the site's Admin, is a mac enthusiast who used to work at Apple. He's now attending Austin Community College for biology and art. Notable for being the DM in the 2002 D&D group that later grew to be Team Austin, Sephiroth knows most fantasy settings backwards and forwards. His favored instrument is the penny whistle.
Serif: Serif, sister of Locue and the oldest member of Team Austin, is one of the most experienced RPers in the group. She's studied a wide variety of subjects at ACC and works at a hip local pizza joint. She's also the most experienced member of the group at sewing, and is often called upon to assist with costuming.
Locue: Locue, brother of Serif and all-around good guy, attends Austin Community College studying various kinds of medical work, most recently radiology. He volunteers part-time at a local hospital, and works at a boy scout camp over the summer. Of the members of Team Austin, he's probably the most well-rounded at games.
Code Gorilla: CG met myself and Locue in school before becoming a member of TA in 2008. He was an admin on WD for roughly a year before leaving to focus on his studies. Though his permanent residence is Austin, he attends the University of Oklahoma to get a Computer Science degree. Born into a gaming family, CG's retro gaming knowledge is formidable.
Mutoman: Mutoman is the only member of Team Austin who wasn't met in real life before being met online in 2008. A lovable character with a jolly personality, Muto says narry a bad word about anyone. He's leaving Austin for college in the fall. At a party, you'll either find him rockin' the Smash Bros. or entertaining a small crowd with his encyclopedic knowledge of Weird Al.
Shiay: Shiay joined our ranks in 2008. Though she was known by Sephiroth prior to this from conventions, when she joined the site she was quickly accepted into our ranks. She's an admin on Bulbapedia, and bleeds cute. She now lives in Dallas, and is homeschooling herself through High School. She specializes in Ghost Pokemon.
Tifa: Is, well, me! I was one of the founding members of TA in 2002 when I met Locue at school. I'm a college student at ACC studying Video Game Design. Currently, I've got two internships with different game companies coming up. I make it a point to know names and personalities of minor characters in games and anime, and will often RP or Cosplay them.
To reiterate, as I've gotten the 'why did you make this' question a lot: The point of this is so that when someone says 'Team Austin' and one of the many new members on WD says 'lolwut?', there's a handy post to which to point them.
