In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

(Here's my attempt at making 627 into the truly sinister demon that he was in his original appearance, rather than the comic-relief non-threatening villain wannabe I've made him into thru my role-playing <_< Hope this post isn't too long for anyone)
For now, all was quiet in the District's "finest" hotel. Not even a mouse squeeking or a fly buzzing in any corner. Just a muted atmosphere of the night. But this wasn't the same silence of any regular hotel night at all. Rather than a silence that welcomed the warm, comfy feeling of home and relaxation, it was a forced silence, smothered onto the hotel's guests. Similairly shown when animals hid in fear from hunters. THEIR hunters ..... The heartless have clawed their way into the building, and has all of the hotel's guests under siege. Slash marks, broken furniture, and other traces of past rowdiness and fighting littered the lobby. The rest of the shadow brethren were keeping their human victims pinned in their respective rooms .....
"KUPO?"
A wooden brown door briefly shook, releasing some of the tenseness of the lobby's silence. The golden knob rattled as it was being gripped, and slowly turned. The faintest of wooden creaks was heard slicing through the silence. Peeking from behind the door was a red pom pom, bobbing back and forth, following the movements of a round, nervous head. Following it was a large nose on a white face, which continued looking around the hotel .... "Kupo!" it made a quiet, yet rushed sneak out. Following the moogle was its friends and family of all sizes, thinking now was the time to escape!
They nearly reached the exit door across from the clerk's ruined desk. The moogles just had to get past ... "GWAAAH! EVIL!" Out from the red door infront of them barged the lunatic monster, 627! Wrestling with him was a squirming Wyvern heartless that was quickly finished by 627's hard headbutt. "GRRRRAAAAWWR!" The moogles were all too far in shock to immediatley react. A human couple from the room however took this red monster's distraction as a chance to escape! Quickly they held eachothers' hands and rushed out the exit door, thinking they outwitted the red devil. But tihs was what 627 had wanted, he thought with a fiendish smile. If these humans warned others about the "shadow monster" invasion, maybe fighters would try to "save" the hotel ..... fighters he could eat! For now, the heartless seemed to be busy with the humans in their own rooms, so might as well let the monsters produce more of their own brothers before battling them again.
627's black eyes were squinted at the sight of the moogle family group. His smile grew into a toothy, malice (and cavity-filled) grin. The moogles were his favorite meal, and the little fluff-balls themselves knew it! They've seen other moogles get eaten or toyed with by this red frenzy of fur, and they won't get associatted with him again! Moogles fluttered down the wrecked hallway in a panic! The red alien was following them on all fours "EeeeVAAAALLLL" .....

(Sweet, my first thread with a canon character. This should be cool.)
As Shiro walked through the second district, he heard a noise that came from a hotel. It heard like a scream. “Why would someone scream at a hotel?” he asked himself. He started to think until he saw a heartless slip into the building. “Heartless…” he answered. Shiro quickly dashed into the building. Everything was ripped to shreds. “Are they being held captive….” he thought. He turned around to see a broken couch. He took off his backpack slowly and rested it on the couch. He zipped it open silently and took out his sword. Shiro had accidentally broken his glove a while ago. He met this old man who died after a heartless attack. He took his sword, because of his words, "I'm an old man. Everything that is important to me is gone. These black creatures put up a good fight. I'm just not able to do this anymore." He didn’t want the heartless to win the battle, so he took his sword and fought with it. He kept it ever since.
Shiro suddenly heard footsteps on the floor above him. Shiro zipped his backpack up and put it on his back. Shiro silently walked up the stairs. He prepared for the first attack. He didn’t expect the next thing to happen. As he got to the second floor, he saw a family of Moogles that ran for their lives. He thought that they were running from heartless. He was wrong. He saw a red furry thing that chased him. It looked like a red koala bear thing. He had no time to think about that at the moment. He quickly turned his head to see some shattered glass. He concentrated all his gravitic energy into his right hand. He then aimed right hand at the shattered glass. One by one, he forced the glass at the small beast. He was like a glass machine gun.
“Run. I’ll hold him off.” he told the Moogle family.
(If one more person joins, I'll close the thread to Shiru, the other rper, and Maleficent)
627 just barely closed in on the smallest and slowest of the moogles when suddenly, glassy shards began pelting him at incredibly high speeds. This didn't at all stop him from running, as the shards really stung more rather than hurt, but the suprise did keep him from biting onto the tiny moogle's leg.
He continued galloping forward as he noticed the glassy gunfire was actually coming from a dark-haired human, who was now standing between he and the moogles. "Gwahahahaaa!" 627 had lept over what was left of the rocketing glass shards and thumped a loud landing only a few feet away from this magic-using human. "EVIL! ... MEEGA NALA QUEESTA!" The red alien insulted in tantalog as he picked up the human with one arm and tossed him all the way to the other side of the hall.
627 had no clue who or what this human was doing, but atleast he was giving him the pleasure of a fun battle. The experiment's eyes darted at a nearby lamp. With a swish of his black claws, the lamp was destroyed. Its electricity was crackling loudly as it spiralled into the experiment himself, lighting up his eyes and straightening his red fur for a half-second. "Heheh!" 627 pointed at the distant human and fired off a bolt of electricity ....
"EVIL! ... MEEGA NALA QUEESTA!" The red alien insulted him. The next thing Shiro knew was that he was picked up by a strange little alien. Then, he realized that the creature threw him across the hall. While in air, Shiro concentrated his gravitic energy into his palms again. Shiro quickly changed the gravity of himself to the point that he floated in air. He slowly started to add gravity to him, which caused him to float gently to the floor. This creature was strong.
“So, who are you…” he asked the strange creature. The strange creature then just broke a lamp. “What was that supposed to do?” he thought. Shiro then saw the eyes of the beast. He then knew that the electricity was in him. As he pointed his finger at him, he said, “I’m just going to call you Evil, since that’s all you say.” He was amazed by the creature’s powers. He shot a bolt of electricity through his finger. He quickly turned his head to see something he could use. He just realized he forgot about something, that he could run out of the direction. Shiro quickly dived to the floor when the bolt was close to him. Shiro quickly stood up.
“So you can absorb electricity. Interesting…” he said. Shiro wondered what he had said a few seconds ago. “Now if you can say “evil”, can you say any other words?” He then wondered about the creature, if he would attack him again or not. He didn’t want to take any chances, so he aimed his hands at the creature. He quickly raised his hands, and then the beast did the same. “There. Now there shouldn’t be any more problems. So you like to fight, why don’t you make yourself useful and start killing heartless. Now if you do, I can take you to a place where you can get food, that’s dead, not alive. Understand?” he added.
627 was about to fire off another electric bolt at the human, but a sudden force held the experiment still! This didn't wipe away his toothy smile though. The alien, knowing very well how strong he was, tried fighting back against this invisible containment, figuring he'd shatter it like all of his other prisons. "GRRRRR ... rrrrrr .... Gwaaaah ...." He tried pushing out, but he wasn't freed! The red experiment formed two of his extra arms to free his trapped ones, but these invisible shackles STILL wouldn't break!
627 would probably be cursing himself like crazy in tantalog! But what kept his smile on was his amusement by this human's attempt at communication. "Can you say any other words? Can you say any other words? Hahaha! EVIL! EVIL!" Indeed, the power of the dark witch maleficent was enough to give 627 understandable speech, but it was funnier to toy around with simply spouting "evil" rather than communicating with human beings.
"Meega evil!" Free food? Please. All 627 would have to do to get free food is raid garbage cans, grocery stores, or eat moogles! "Gwwwaaar ..." He drooled a green slime as his black eyes focused on the tasty moogles, all nuzzled together in fright behind the human. "Heheh ... Heheheheee! GWAHAHAHAAA!" Immediatley, an ironic humor struck 627's mind. He loved to destroy and toy with heartless, but he also enjoyed watching heartless cause some destruction .... just like the Defender heartless that was sneaking up behind Shiro and the moogles. The black jaws on its shield opened to take a snap at 'em ....
"Hey, watch out!" Dashing from a nearby hotel room he delivered a quick slash through the Defender's waist, sending the Heartless back where it belonged in a puff of black smoke. His sword was in flames and they didn't die out after they had slained the dark creature; there still was another nuisance to take care of and Flame's End's work wasn't quite done yet. After making sure the moogle family was unharmed and safe behind Shiro, the warrior looked straight ahead, eyes of sapphirefixing themselves on the little red monster.
Well, well, well... that little son of a bitch was still up and running.
A soft chuckle escaped his lips as the experiment's slime danced down its chin. Heh, 627 sure looked horny hungry that day, and it wasn't going to stop until it either answered its stomach's pleas or someone else put it in its place. "Get the Moogles to safety, I shall engage this beast." Removing dark bangs away from his face, Mikael Darrow positioned himself in front of his allies while he observed every single one of the creature's movements. He summoned a blue blade to his left hand; he would need to be clever and cunning while facing "Evil". After all, he wasn't as civilized or intelligent as humans to be tricked.
Now, how had he got to the hotel in the first place?
Mikael had been doing his normal patrol along the Second District, looking for other strong, intelligent individuals to recruit for his cause. However, instead of finding a strong and talented warrior, he had encountered chaos and distress in the nearby hotel, its initial source obviously being the Heartless thread.
Deciding to take a sneaky approach toward the Heartless, the pyromancer decided to flank the enemy by engaging them from a hotel room versus the main entrance where they would probably be located. He calmed his mana levels to enter with an apparently weak aura to not alert many of the Heartless; shadows and soldiers were the least of his concerns, as the part of Jadis's magic within him repelled such weak servants.
However, before he could jump into the scene, a familiar face had decided to engage the Heartless, revealing the true threat behind the invasion. Mikael had been wise to wait, as he was able to eliminate the threat from his allies' rear and deliver a surprise attack.
Shiro watched as the creature tried to break free. He let out a small laugh. It was funny to see the little beast try to escape.
"Can you say any other words? Can you say any other words? Hahaha! EVIL! EVIL!"
"So you can... Interesting..." he replied. He was very curious about this creature. Where did he come from? What was he? Those were the questions in his mind. He didn't have long to think about it, because he heard someone yell at him from behind. He didn't want to lose control, so he didn't turn around to see what happened.
"Get the Moogles to safety, I shall engage this beast." the person said. Shiro let out a small laugh.
"Normally, I would listen, but I have him under control. He can't break free of my gravity. There are people being held captive by the heartless." he replied. "If you would like to help them, you could."
(Sorry, but incase Maleficent shows up late -or never at all- I'll place this little sheila beastie til then)
627 looked at the heartless's demise with a little amusement, a slight smile with a cocked brow. What was truly interesting was the human who destroyed it. One of Experiment 149's friends .... Mikael. The red creature tried to remember one of those funny words from back on Hawaii. It started with an A. "Aaaa - Aaa .... Alohaaaa Mikael." He uttered with a splattering drool. The few times he had met this fire-controlling human proved that he was a fighter of some sort. An interesting opponent.
"- but I have him under control." The other human said with reassurance.
Amused by such confidence, the red alien decided to take such a sentance as a challenge. He may be stuck in these "invisible handcuffs", but he's far from being useless. "EEEVVIIIL" 627's mouth quickly glowed an eerie bright orange. Smoke trailed out from inbetween his sharp teeth .... When his maw flipped wide open, a bright bolt of red plasma shot out! Aimed straight at Mikael! The bolt blazed on in a fiery trail, ready for destruction!
Suddenly, it did explode, but rather than making contact with Mikael, the plasma bolt impacted a heartless that foolishly appeared infront of the humans! The heartless flipped over onto the floor. It was a monkey-like Powerwild! "Hmph. Heartless! Evil Nooka Sha!"
A puff of darkness and light purple smoke erupted in the middle of the hallway, inbetween 627 and the distant humans. The thick smoke suddenly fluffed out and began to swirl. Emerging spinning gracefully from the clearing smoke was a purple female monkey! A Sniperwild heartless! Perhaps a leftover from the Heartless Invasion of Traverse Town .... The Sniperwild, her tail waving around, placed her black hand on her hip and motioned her head towards the humans. Two more Powerwilds appeared infront of them, slowly advancing towards Mikael and Shiro.
The Sniperwild turned her attention to 627, intrigued by the red alien's darkness .... such darkness would make a powerful heartless .... Her blank gaze was met with 627's black glare ....

Shun, Shiro, since Maleficent hasn't been around lately, Cloud of Darkness will be joining the thread instead. This'll bring some suprises I'm sure ....

The purple, female monkey-like Heartless looked at 627, before taking careful aim. One well placed shot would mean one less target and one more Heartless. Unfortunately, she didn't get to take the shot. From beneath her erupted a beam of searing darkness, which annihilated the poor, unsuspecting Heartless. It vanished into a wisp of purple smoke. Behind 627, a cold and voluptuous chuckle sounded, and a figure emerged from a portal of darkness. The way she emerged reminded one of a snake, slipping out to snatch the unassuming mouse in front of its den. She regarded 627.
"We sense a great amount of Darkness within you," she said. The look in her eyes was one not unlike the look a dog gives a juicy steak. She laughed again, and waved her hand. The air in the room seemed to grow lighter, and the bonds holding 627 were eliminated. Pain and Suffering both moved in to observe the odd creature, jaws snapping in anticipation. The woman flourished her cloak and raised her hands, covering the creature in her shadow.
"We are the Cloud of Darkness!" she said. "And you... you are a creature we find fascinating." She turned to the two warriors and the two Powerwilds. A smirk graced her blood-red lips. "Presuming the role of hero?" she said; it wasn't a true question, merely a mocking remark on their pitiful attempt to delay the inevitable. She snapped her fingers, and three Shadows and a pair of Green Requiem joined the two monkey-like Heartless.
"You shall be consumed."

((I'm really sorry for the delay, globber. Feel free to make me your bitch. xD))
"Normally, I would listen, but I have him under control. He can't break free of my gravity. There are people being held captive by the heartless. If you would like to help them, you could."
Oh god, the last thing he needed right now was a generous dose of arrogance. Seriously, this kid thought he had little cookie monster gremlin under control? He obviously didn't know what six-two-seven was capable of and ignored the amount of strength and willpower he carried within that little furry body of his. Mikael was clearly unamused by the mocking he received as a greeting, offering the experiment an annoyed snort.
"Really? Whatever gravity chains you set upon him won't tame him. He is quite smart if we consider him as a wild beast."
Serving the purpose of an enlightening prophet, the man's words preceded the monster's ranged attack, the hot materia sphere heading directly at him. Calmly facing the danger before him, Mikael gathered some dark mana around his left hand, intending to channel it through his sword and create a magnet orb to take the attack for him. Fortunately a Heartless had foolishly interrupted the plasma's course, saving the warrior the energy for a later assault.
However, the following events were quite unpleasant to see. The damaged Sniperwild limped around, summoning a couple of her monkey minions. Mikael's hate for the female kind of Heartless was pretty much common knowledge once you got to meet him, and he wasn't starting to like them one bit. He created a small flame in front of him, only to multiply and gather the element around to use at his heart's content. Well, a couple of Powerwilds wouldn't ruin his fun..
Wrong.
Out of apparently nowhere, a woman appeared behind 627 as she took care of the female monkey. Her voice was a clear reflection of her aura: dark, cold. Indeed, Mikael could sense a large amount of darkness within her... darkness that perhaps could rival Jadis's or maybe even Maleficent's. This person wasn't one to mess around with, and the pyromancer had immediately taken note of it. However, as soon as the villianess started to speak he felt an urge to start chuckling at her.
First of all, who called themselves "Cloud of Darkness"? In Mikael's book, it was definately a lame name for a powerful, hardcore villian. Secondly, she referred to herself as a "we"; sure, those horrible hentai tentacles seemed to have some sort of consciousness of their own but it was still a bit fishy. "Perhaps, and I assume you are attempting to play the villian. Sad, I expected more of a challenge."
Sending a formidable wave of flames toward her direction, the man smirked as he watched the shadow getting scorched to death. They left no hint of their existence other than the dark smoke standing in their place. Both healers had escaped the spell without a scratch as well as one of the Powerwilds; however, the other one's long tail had been licked by the deadly flames and the Green Requiems were quick to deal with the damage.
"Really? Whatever gravity chains you set upon him won't tame him. He is quite smart if we consider him as a wild beast."
Shiro simply nodded his head. "Hmm... So I'm guessing you have met this creature." he replied with his calm tone. The next events happened too fast for Shiro. He just concentrated his power on the creature. He couldn't let it escape. Sadly, he suddenly lost concentration, which was weird for Shiro, because he didn't know how he lost concentration. He then focused on his surroundings. He was shocked to see this woman behind the creature.
"Perhaps, and I assume you are attempting to play the villian. Sad, I expected more of a challenge."
"Cloud of Darkness. I'm interested, you don't seem like a heartless. Are you?" he replied to the woman. It looked like she could control the heartless. That amazed Shiro. He had never seen someone make heartless appear. "Hmm... You control the heartless. I find that interesting."
He then turned his attention back to the creature. He wasn't there. "Now, give back the creature, Cloud of Darkness. Or I'll have to get it back by force. It is a very interesting creature..."
Shiro decided that if the woman didn't respond soon, he would have to start to attack the heartless, because he was sure that the heartless wouldn't wait to attack.
As soon as he was freed from his invisible clutches, 627 was face to face with two lashing, hellish faces on sprouting tentacles. Both rather viscious in appearance. The red experiment showed absolutely no attention to the floating bat-like woman's piercing voice. Instead, 627 grabbed Pain by its head and looked the serpentine beast in the face.
"Noodle! EVIL!" The experiment shouted with a gurgle in the back of his throat. His purple tongue slobbered at Pain's face, leaving a huge drop of sticky green goo. He then slapped away Pain's face and pushed him into Suffering's. The green drool splattered around and temporarily glued them together.
"Gwaheheheh! Evil! Evil!" Now he started to show attention (not to mention disrespect) to the floating woman by bouncing up and down, laughing at her and her attatched minions. "Choobi chiba! HAHA!" 627 showed little care that she was interested in him. Of course, he was just a monster mindlessly following the instinct of chaotic fun, why should he care for her?
627 looked back at the humans when he heard the sound of a crackling explosion. Most of the newer heartless were destroyed by Mikael's fiery attack. The monkeys and green robed bird things were still there though. To make things worse, a puff of light purple smoke erupted inbetween the two Powerwilds. It fluffed out into a bigger cloud before fading away. From the smoke emerged another Sniperwild, this time staying away from the stronger Cloud of Darkness. As a natural rule, Sniperwilds tend to resurrect themselves as one or two copies that must each be slain before finally dieing off.
627 looked back up at the floating woman. His mouth began to glow red again with pouring plasma ..... ready to be fired at this foolish humanoid .....
The Cloud of Darkness was not amused by the small furry plaything's antics. She grabbed him roughly by the throat and hoisted him up so that they were eye to eye.
"Hear us now, miserable beast," she said. "You will obey us without question, or suffer." Suffering snapped at 627 menacingly. Cloud of Darkness smirked, and with a flick of her wrist, a room three doors down filled with shrieks. "There are some innocent bystanders in the Blue Room," she said. A black vortex opened at her feet. "Be useful and get rid of them," she said, and hurled 627 through the portal.
At the same time, Pain caught the scent of the miserable Sniperwild clones and hissed. electricity crackled through the air as bolts of lightning caught three of the five clones simultaneously. It made a sound not unlike snickering.
Cloud of Darkness then turned and watched the second child. He was amusing; almost like a puppy that didn't know how dangerous the snake it was confronting really was. Still, it was no threat or concern of hers what happened to the Heartless; they were after all mindless puppets. The one boy actually dared to ask if she was one of them.
"How dare you insult us by grouping our magnificence with their insignificance," she said. "We are of something stronger and older than shadows and forlorn emotions." She looked between the two children, and decided to acknowledge the second one now.
"We see you have managed to destroy the mindless drones," she said. "Shall we give you something a little more... challenging?" With that, she snapped her fingers and the darkness began to congeal into two Air Soldiers, a Possessor, and two Neoshadows. As the "hired help" appeared, she turned to the door to the Blue Room. "A most gratifying evening, to be sure..." The Possessor got to work, taking residence inside a nearby Maneki Neko* statuette. The once cute cat was now transmogrified into a bestial Heartless with teeth and claws and swirly eyes.
She then turned back to the children, and the Moogles they were protecting. The will of these things to not only fight for their lives, but the lives of others, was...
"Fascinating..." she breathed. Not wanting that insipid child who could control fire to run out of reasons to keep fighting, she slipped into the sweet embrace of darkness. For a moment, all was peaceful and the world was blind; but then she emerged back into the horrible place of light and... hope.
She reached out, and snatched the smallest one, which she presumed was a Moogle child, and then slipped back into the darkness to reappear behind the Heartless once again. She laughed, and summoned a Rabid Dog Heartless, holding the small thing by its wings over the snapping jaws.
"It seems this mindless dog would like a treat," she said. "We are feeling rather generous at the moment..." She laughed, her reserved, malicious chuckle only disrupted by the barking as the Heartless dog tried to jump for the poor Moogle child.

* A Maneki Neko is one of those little cat statues that holds the large coin. They are quite commonplace in shopfronts and hotels.

"Cloud of Darkness. I'm interested, you don't seem like a heartless. Are you? Hmm... You control the heartless. I find that interesting."
Nearly facepalming at these words, Mikael wrinkled his nose as he gathered the flames he had used around him to recycle. Really, if this "Cloud of Darkness" was one of them, he would have known. Her aura was one of darkness, yes, but it wasn't wild as a Heartless's; it was calmer, smarter and more dangerous. The woman had been slightly offended by Shiro's words and she carelessly let the men know about her gigantic ego. She proceeded to address Mikael next, apparently trying to launch a taunt of some kind.
"Sure, I would enjoy that." he snorted, watching as the nice pentagon of darkness came to existence. The Neoshadows and Air Soldiers were pretty much pathetic, but that floating orb of darkness sure looked interesting. It moved around for a few seconds before forcing itself into a cute little cat statue, corrupting the object with its dark energies.
Oh well, it was time to kill.
The pair of Green Requiems were still working on healing their monkey partner, so Mikael would take advantage of it. He charged towards them, slashing the other Powerwild in the process and finishing it with the floating flames that followed him behind. A soft smirk graced his features as he proceeded to hit the green coats, stunning them so he could command the hovering wildfire to burn their patient away. The healers sensed a strong and juicy heart nearby, but they couldn't know where it was exactly. Aww... too bad.
Just as they had snapped out of confusion, Mikael delivered a quick slashing combo on their faces in an attempt to finish them off. A soft sigh escaped his lips as he eyed the rest of the Heartless, ducking just in time to avoid the aerial attack from an Air Soldier.
However, the true villian was nowhere to be seen.
Where was she?
Suddenly, the woman emerged from a dark portal below the smallest of the moogles, disappearing once more after claiming her prize. Cloud of Darkness suddenly appeared behind her Heartless as she offered the young heroes a wicked laughter full of mischief. "KUPO!!!" the little critter whined in horror, its little wobbly legs being pursued by the dark canine with hunger and lust.
"It seems this mindless dog would like a treat, we are feeling rather generous at the moment..."
Mikael looked at the cruel woman with anger, offering her his trademark medusa glare as the Moogle child tried to grab the villian's arms for its dear life. "DON'T you dare..." The pyromancer began, his dislike for the woman growing as the seconds went by. He knew he was losing control but for some reason he didn't care. The darkness Jadis the White Which had infused within his soul was struggling to get control, slowly tainting the man's aura in an attempt to trap his mind. Around his neck, Mikael wore a strange crystal, bloody red being its color. Trapped inside was another piece of the sorceress's aura and it too struggled to breathe fresh air.
The Neoshadows turned to look at Mikael, taking a step back as they sensed the witch's energy around him. "Release the child. Now." A deeper voice, sending a threat to the villian's ears.
SUMMARY: Mikael attacked and defeated two Powerwilds and two Green Requiems. The dark energy within him has been activated by the hate and dislike he feels toward Cloud of Darkness and is threatening to take over him.
