In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Welcome to the RP Academy, Doogie. I'm Shiay and I shall be your Instructor for this session.
Here is how this will work:
I would like for you to post to this thread as if posting a new RP thread with your character. I will then see what it is that you can improve on and point them out to you, as well as replying as one of my own characters.
Please understand that this is, by no means, a way to say that your skills are lacking, or that you have been singled out; it is merely a means to assist your growth as a writer and a roleplayer. We all have things to learn from each other; just as I have things I would like to teach you, I'm sure that there's also things that I can learn from you~
The rules are as as follows:
•Respect the site rules. Which means no powerplaying/godmodding other people's characters. I and others don't really care for that type of behavior D:
• Listen to advice. I cannot teach one who will not learn.
• Feel free to disagree If you have issue with something I said, please feel free to point it out. This is a group effort. That said, should you do so, provide reasoning and your alternative views in a calm, rational, and non-confrontational manner, I will treat you with respect, and expect the same treatment in return.
• Have fun. This is a game; furthermore, this is out of plot (unless you later choose to add this into continuity) roleplay. Anything that does not conflict with the rules goes; and that said, we have a little more leeway here. Namely, the location, situation, and anything else are up in the air. If you want to try out something, feel free to do so.
((OK, very sorry for the lateness! I've tried to post three times, but all three have been at school, on my phone, so I didn't have much time at once, and when I would get done, it would have logged me off! DX So yea, sorry for the lateness, and here goes!))
As Zedd fell to the ground, and landed in the not so soft sand, he sat up while thinking two things. First, "Dang it, that dumb teleporter messed up again!" Second, "Where am I?" Having sat up, the first thing he saw was a rising sun, atop a beautiful, sparkling ocean. The sun had just started to rise, so everything around him was still dark, but fortunately as he turned around, he was able to make out a few things. One of those seemed to be a large tree house, over to the right of that, was a little waterfall, and even farther to the right of that was a little shed. After that, all he could see was ocean, so he turned to his left to see what was there.
As he looked over that way, he saw a dark mass off in the distance. At first Zedd was unable to tell what it was, but then he realized it had to be another island. Also in front of that island was a person. It was still quite dark, so Zedd couldn't quite make out any details about the person, but he could definitely tell it was a person. So, with the sand crunching under his shoes, he set off, hoping to make a new friend. Hopefully a friend that new his/her way around this new world.
It didn't take as long to get to this person as Zedd thought, because the sun had yet to even rise halfway! So, as Zedd approached this person, he said, "Why hello there! Might I introduce myself? My name is Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, but my friends just call me Zedd. What may I call you?"
From now on, my OOC chat will be in this colour; light green.
It's alright for the lateness... as I'm come to expect from the human race, no one is perfect and everyone has a natural procrastinator within them. I am no exception to this.
The posting style isn't bad... but could definitely use a bit of work. I'm glad that you actually stood up and asked for having to be entered into the RP Academy, instead of being cocky and getting into RP threads without giving your role playing style a second thought.
First off... I've actually noticed some a lot of run-on sentences in your posts. I'm not going to ding this as a bad, 'no-no' thing, as it is something that many of us do on a regular occasion. However... may want to cut it down a bit.... The use of a semicolon would help with this, as it can be used in this passage here: As Zedd fell to the ground, and landed in the not so soft sand, he sat up while thinking two things. First, "Dang it, that dumb teleporter messed up again!" Second, "Where am I?"
**Side note: the first comma in that passage needs not to be there.
So... instead of having it look like that, it would look more like this: As Zedd fell to the ground and landed in the not so soft sand, he sat up while thinking two things; first, "dang it, that dumb teleporter messed up again!" Second, "where am I?"
Up before the sun was fully out? That was a new thing to the silver-haired teen as he had walked upon the coastline of the Destiny Islands. Riku was normally out when the sun was high above, illuminating all of the islands and their glory-- unless it was a school day, that is.
There were just certain things that had happened in his life recently that made it to where he was restless. Those things bothered him greatly as for the first time in a while, he actually didn't know how to go about them. The first thing was that Hikari girl that he had seemed to have gotten close to over the time that she had been on the islands. The other thing was Rin... his replica. Riku had found him on Play Island, and still didn't know what his purpose being here was.
A light breeze passed by, pulling at his silvery locks and slightly disturbing the water's calm. Was that how he was now? Was he the disturbed ocean, rippling under the slight breeze that Hikari and Rin seemed to have brought upon the islands? Seemed that the teen would just have to see what the future had left in store for him.
"Why hello there! Might I introduce myself? My name is Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, but my friends just call me Zedd. What may I call you?"
Riku turned to face the body that this new voice belonged to as he repeated the name in his head. Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander...? Seemed that the parents of this fellow had an alliteration fetish. Though the meeting was... odd, to say the least, it seemed that this Zedd character at least had some form of manners.
Hmm...Riku...he looked nice enough, but sounded like he had alot on his mind. But then again, why else would someone be out on this world before the sun was even completely up. Unless of course, they were just landing on this world, like Zedd.
Maybe this Riku character was a local, and maybe he would be nice enough to show Zedd around this new world. And what better way to get some help then to ask?
"I know it is awfully early here, but I just got here, and well, I have no idea where I am. Would you be so kind as to supply me with some information?"
Hopefully Riku would take this request as more than it seemed to be, for Zedd not only wanted some information, but also a travelling companion; even if they would have to depart after Zedd was done here.
((OK, so I'm not that good at telling if something is a run-on or not, hopefully I fixed it a little, if not, I'm very sorry!))
Eh... it's alright... I'll point our the run-ons to you when I come across them... I've just noticed a lot of them in your in-thread posts.
Just landing on this world? Hah... fairly unlikely unless it was like how it was a year ago where Riku had been traveling the worlds as Ansem the Wise. Though... being in that disguise, he was unable to really tell people who it was that he really was... regardless, that was the past, and this was now.
Islander, local, resident... yes, he was any one of those things as people have called him before. However... the 'islander' comment was one that he resented... mainly because of the person who presented it to him.
"I know it is awfully early here, but I just got here, and well, I have no idea where I am. Would you be so kind as to supply me with some information?"
Giving a shrug of his shoulders, Riku replied, "you're on the Destiny Islands. The Main Island, to be exact."
One for words? Not unless you were one of his friends... and even then, Riku didn't really say much unless there was something he though he needed to put his thoughts into. Then again... there were still the things on his mind that he was trying to figure out for himself. He wasn't really one to give something he had his mind set on so easily.
"You're on Destiny Islands. The Main Island to be exact."
Hmm...Riku wasn't really one for words, but that was probably because Zedd was still a stranger to him. But, that didn't matter to Zedd! You can't make friends until you are first strangers! So, hopefully Zedd would be able to strike up a conversation. And hopefully that would be while Riku was giving Zedd a tour of this world, this...Destiny Islands.
So far Zedd hadn't seen a single heartless or nobody. Hopefully he wouldn't have to see one either, because Zedd was really tired. His body was just adjusting to the time frame of this world, and well, it was taking its toll.
”So, what is this world like? Is it nice, with little heartless and nobodies? Or swarming with nobodies and heartless?”
Surprisingly, it was really hard to strike up a conversation with Riku. Normally Zedd could pull conversation starters out of thin air, because he was just a people person. But for whatever reason—should it be the extremely thoughtful expression on Riku’s face, or something else—he couldn’t find anything to say.
Just because this Zedd was a stranger to Riku? No... the silver-haired teen was just like that. Quiet, keeping thoughts to himself most of the time, sharing his thoughts only when he saw them to be necessary, going off on his own without telling a lot of people... there were a lot of things that he did that kept that air of mystery about him. Everyone was different... Riku recognized this, and he was no exception to that.
”So, what is this world like? Is it nice, with little heartless and nobodies? Or swarming with nobodies and heartless?”
Furrowing his brow and narrowing his eyes slightly, Riku remembered the Heartless and Nobodies that he's fought over the time when he wasn't on the Destiny Islands. Whoever this Zedd was... to know what they were called... he was obviously informed. However... the way that he worded his question... it was a little odd to the teen, but he shrugged it off and gave his response, "the Destiny Islands have none of what you speak."
It was true... the only Nobody that had come to the Destiny Islands was Arumial, but that wasn't something that really counted. The Dark XII were an organization that were like the Organization XIII... they were more powerful and competent Heartless that roamed about. However, there was something still within him that refused to put his trust into Arumial about that offer he made to Sora a while back.
Shaking his head only slightly, Riku got his mind off of that real quickly and looked out to the ocean, folding his arms over his chest. So many things to ponder and contemplate... it was really starting to get to be a bothersome thing. It also seemed as if the silver-haired teen wouldn't be staying on the Destiny Islands for much longer, either.... The Organization was back... there was a new group... hnh, too many things that lead to heading back into battle.
"Not exactly the most proper welcoming to the Destiny Islands..." Riku started, not turning to Zedd, "but welcome anyways...."
Zedd had seen Riku slightly shake his head and turn to look at the ocean.
Not exactly the most proper welcoming to the Destiny Islands...but welcome anyways....
"Why, thank you. Proper or not, it is still a welcoming. Now, a question for you, why might a young man, such as yourself, be out at this early hour?"
Hopefully Riku wouldn't be offended by Zedd's question. It was pretty personal, but still, it was something to get the conversation going. And hopefully if Zedd was able to get Riku talking, then he might be able to politely ask him for a tour of this world. Or even better, a place to stay!
Even if Zedd didn't ask for any of these things, hopefully he would make a new friend. Truthfully, to Zedd, making a new friend was better than a tour, or a house. Having a friend lasted longer, and was a lot more fun then getting a tour.
"Why, thank you. Proper or not, it is still a welcoming. Now, a question for you, why might a young man, such as yourself, be out at this early hour?"
Letting out an inaudible scoff, Riku narrowed his eyes slightly. Always with the questions when people saw you out at an unusual hour. The 'young man' comment was something that the silver-haired teen didn't really care for much, either. Sure, he was eighteen, but someone calling hims 'young man' made him feel as if he were ten or twelve years old all over again-- and even then, he didn't like being called that.
"I just wake up early to get a start on the day," Riku simply replied, placing a thumb in his pocket and keeping his gaze turned out on the ocean.
As Riku's eyes narrowed, Zedd realized what exactly he had said. When he said "young man," it hadn't been meant as a derogatory term, but an 18 year old might take it that way. But what was said was already said, and there wasn't any taking it back.
"I just wake up early to get a start on the day."
Hmm, getting a start on the day? If that is how you start your day, then Zedd didn't mind! Especially since that meant that Zedd wasn't the only person awake on this world!
Well, Zedd needed to get going, since Riku seemed very busy thinking, Zedd decided it was time to leave. Hopefully he would be able to find another local on the island somewhere.
"Well, I better get going! I hope you have a good rest of the day!"
And with that, Zedd looked off to the horizon, turned and started walking away. As he was walking away, he turned and waved and said, "Bye, nice meeting you Riku!". Hoping he would find new friends on this new and exciting world, he departed from Riku.
((Ok, so, since this didn't seem to be going anywhere, I decided to end that..I was also hoping that I might be able to switch characters and start playing as Even? And maybe even get in a fight? Not sure though...if you want to somehow keep the Riku and Zedd story going, then that's fine! Also! I changed Zedd's voice color, cause it was very hard to read, haha.))
Actually... it's not that it gets no where... it's just one has to keep up persistently with Riku. He's not much for socializing, as seen in the RP... but he'll get to certain things if prodded long enough.
And if you wish to use another character and end the current RP now, feel free to do so.... I actually have to be getting my Hikari, Quistis and Stitch muse woken back up... so if you want to start something with any one of those three, again, feel free to do so.
((Ok, I finally figured out which world I wanted to post this post in, haha))
Zedd had been to this world only once before. It was a nice world. Kinda dusty, but still, it was a very nice world. Thankfully there weren't that many heartless or nobodies, but that didn't mean that there weren't any fights. Most of them were actually tournaments, held in the Coliseum. Yes, it was Olympus that Zedd had landed on. Zedd was hoping that he would find someone to have a friendly fight with, but even just exploring would be fine!
The roads were abnormally crowded that day, and most of the traffic was in one direction. As Zedd followed the traffic, he finally realized where all the people were going. They were all making their way toward the Coliseum.
Make way! Make way!
Hearing this, Zedd quickly moved over. Quickly after that, he saw several people make their way through the crowd. After a while, Zedd finally got to the front of the crowd, and saw that everyone was actually signing up for a tournament! That was very exciting! Since Zedd was hoping to find a person to have a friendly fight with anyway, he decided to sign up for this tournament! Each fight took a while to be completed, and there were several hours between each fight.
Zedd took up the last spot possible for the tournament, so he realized he would be the last person to fight. So, he knew that he had a few hours to kill. So, he left the Coliseum, hoping that the first round of this tournament wouldn't take more than a day. About an hour later, he heard people running through the streets, announcing that a bracket for the tournament had been made. So, hearing this, and wanting to see whom he would fight, he ran toward the Coliseum. When he finally got there, he was able to find his name and see that he was fighting someone that didn't seem to have a name that sounded "Olympic". As he expected, he was in the last round, so he did have a while until he would fight. So, he quickly left the Coliseum, giving other people the chance to look at the bracket.
Surprisingly, the time went by quickly. Zedd had at first just explored around Olympus, then he had watched a few rounds as it got closer and closer to his round. A bunch of the competitors were actually very good fighters. Zedd was getting somewhat less confident as the tournament went on. But nonetheless, he would try his hardest, and do the best that he could!
Finally, as it got to the third to last round, Zedd exited the stands, and made his way to the holding room for where the competitors enter the Coliseum. As he came there, he saw several people already in the room. There was no way to tell for sure which of the competitors was his opponent, and he didn't really feel like finding out at the moment. All that he was thinking about was the upcoming fight, and how he would handle different situations. So, he leaned against an empty spot on the wall, and watched his fellow competitors.
... Oh boy.... I guess this'll be some kind of challenge for me... heh... alright then....
Giving a flick of her obsidian and ruby coloured blade, Ikari gave a smirk as her wit and speed outdid her opponent relatively easily (then again... it could have been because her opponents were bulky and slow). This went on for a good few rounds... and luckily, she had time to rest up and recover said stamina over the hours she was able to sit down and get a good drink of water. However... these battles-- tournaments, mind you-- weren't something that she was all that interested in upon arriving in the world. Doing this tournament really put a big dent in looking for her friend.
Hearing the people cheering out in the crowd-- it put a grin on the fire user's face. She may not have been the nicest people to have a 'friendly battle' with (after all, if someone could tolerate her taunts and insults... then sure, friendly battle... maybe... yeah right...), but she did prove to be a challenge. There had been many people already that had looked down upon her and determined their win just by looking at her height and size-- and also discriminated her for the fact that she was female. Damn sexists....
Finally brackets were made for the next round and Ikari looked at her opponent's name for a quick moment. Huh... funny... this name wasn't upon the brackets when she first started. Feh, who gives? As long as he put up a more decent fight than the other sexist slowpokes, she'd be as right as rain as far as she was concerned. So far, no one had been able to keep up with her immense speed-- could this new person do it? Heh... whatever... just as long as this fight was going to be fun as well. These tournaments weren't a just a test to Ikari, but a game as well.
Adjusting her sleeveless hoodie, Ikari examined the few places where her top had been either ripped or slightly singed. She dodged a few more insults and comments of her just being lucky and just shrugged them off-- she wasn't 'just lucky'... she was skilled, and as long as she knew this, there was nothing that could get to her from these pigs that stunk up the holding room. She averted her gaze to a new face that had entered the room and gave an inaudible scoff. Another guy... just great, was he going to discriminate her for her sex as well?
Whatever.... bringing her foot up and tightening the laces on her shoe, she took Dragon's Flame and made her way to the entryway to the arena, brushing past the newcomer with a slight scowl in his direction.
OK, first, let me say I'm VERY sorry about the lateness! I've been at a camp, and I've tried multiple times to post, and several times it would log me off before I could finish posting because I was trying to post on my phone. I'm very sorry and I will try to get the post done before the 23rd. Hopefully I will have it posted by then.
