In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

(Doogs will be M.I.A. for a bit, so we might as well continue with some mooore fuuun)
The irony of unintentional concidental telepathy of shared thoughts made Coffee chuckled. The game was dropped quite effortlessly without dispute; perhaps they were too similar than one would assume just to say not long ago they were complete strangers. The viera's facial expression did dropped at the word 'puzzle'.
The viera wasn't prepared to actually think indeptly for this trip; it would be annoying if they only barrier from treasure was a simple, but complex riddle. Hopefully it won't go down that route, if so she should've dragged Creme along. Coffee brushed the thoughts aside as heat wavered against her skin. It made a chill run up her spine at the instant change, and her head nodded in response to Kigae. Her nose picked up the smell of burning, while her ears can barely grasp the crack of flames.
Coffee followed Kigae down a winding staircase stairs as the heat increased. They were getting closer to the source. Instead of a kiln, there were two hearths of flames, flames that were required to constantly be fed and never go out. Behind each hearth was a statue that was illuminated with dramatic lights of the flame. One was the crippled Hephaestus wielding his anvil, while the other was Athena adorned in her armory.
"Still think we're going to get some puzzles," Coffee broke the silence before she can silence herself; the statues began to rumble and vibrate.
The eyes illuminated before the gods spoke. They faces were animated with life and they wore an unpleased frown. The movement of marble stone was agitating as they shifted against each other.
“How dare you disturb the temple of the gods of Olympus,” Athena chastised pointing her spear at the invaders. “You wreak my temple with blood, and you will pay for your dishonorable deeds.”
Hephaestus huffed emitting a cloud of dust, which stripped away the warrioress of their weaponry. It would seem like they disappeared from thin air. “Before us, Athena I spy robbers; they dare think they can take the secrets of this temple. All the fools who have tried as failed.”
Rising his chiseled arm, he smacked his anvil on the ground twice causing dust to fall from the ceiling and ignite the entire room with light. Fire puffed on the torches against the wall revealing their inventory chained against the opposite side of the room.
“You dare test the gods, and then you will have to go through the Challenge of Athens. You will only us what we give, but you must only choose one, and then you’ll wait for your opponent and defeat it. Choose wisely.”
The goddess silenced and reverted back to immobile stones as a long fabric rippled in front of them with a few items to choose. There was a pair of winged sandals, a breastplate with scaled engravings with a gorgon head, and a framed girdle. These were the only armory they can choose from before the test begin.
(I thought this may be fun. XD Since I made this up in my head. >> << May put a thread up for members to decide for the characters of what they choose...since there will be consequences for what they choose making it a challenge)
Kigae's eyes roamed around the room they entered, looking at the two hearths as well as the two statues of Hephaestus and Athena. This room was certainly interesting, though Kigae didn't note anything particularly special. When Coffee spoke, Kigae didn't get a chance to answer before the statues sprung to life and accurately accused them of being robbers, though Kigae somewhat preferred the term Treasure Hunter.
When Kigae was stripped of her Dresspheres, she was visibly pissed as her clothes returned to normal though she kept quiet while the Gods continued to explain that they would have to go through the challenge of Athens. Great, I bet I'm just going to love this. She thought to herself. When they had said that all fools who had tried to steal the secrets of this temple had failed before, she had been tempted to say that she was no fool.
The Gods left their statues, returning them to normal, and leaving the three objects in front of them. Kigae looked them over, considering what the coming challenge might include. Before touching any of them however, she turned to Coffee and said, "I'm kinda wanting the Belt, how about you?"
She pretty much assumed that the sandals were the same as Hermes' flying shoes, and didn't want those because she assumed the such an odd form of flight would be hard to get used to. She didn't want the breastplate because she was worried about the Gorgon symbol on it. For the Girdle however, she didn't have a clue what that did, so she wanted that one out of curiosity.
((In ancient Greek a Girdle was essentially a belt, I'm assuming that's what the Girdle is?))

(>> suuuure *has no idea* XDD)
Coffee snorted, while looking down at the choices she had, and she didn't like her options being minimized by someone else. Arms folded over her chest in displeasure. She would rather have her halberd which was on the other side of the room. "I perfer to have what I brought, but that isn't the case."
Her eyes scanned over it before making up her mind. She already had the speed and the agility, so needing such shoes were unneccessary. Also being a viera, she needed the shoes she wore; they gave her support and balance, since she technically walks on the balls of her feet. That left her to pick the breastplate, since Kigae was taking the belt. Atleast this would give her more armory; a viera's attire is lightweight. Coffee crouched down to pick it up, "I'll take this then."
"Let's get this over with," the viera muttered, while her eyes narrowed at the two statues; she had a carnal desire to see them combust.
Ahead of them was a clear room, which now looked like a crowdless arena, but a red aura began to glow in the center. Spheres of red, blues, whites, and grey began to swirl around another to summon a form. A pair of paws can be seen as a hissing growl emitted from the bog.
"Now for the Challenge of Athens, for the items you choose there's a price to pay. Retrieve your items back if you can, but beware of the opponent you have at hand," the voice of Athena rang before it was washed away by a loud roar. The roar made the Sandles of Hermes disappear and let the remaining to items shimmer. "Go forth Chimera!"
Coffee's nose twitched trying to decipher the anomoly that was hidden from her, but once it stepped from the mist she saw the wretched beast, the chimera. It's body was that of a lion, but it shared it with a goat, a hawk, and a dragon. It's tail swayed and hissed; it was a snake. Stomping on the ground, the mouths opened releasing a stream of fire.
"That's...a lot of heads to look out for," the viera muttered looking at the beast. "Any ideas...besides running our butts off to get our stuff?"
Too focused on the new task at hand, Coffee didn't feel the slow drain of her stamina; the breastplate was cursed to drain whoever wore it feeding the Gorgon. The Girdle was a lure attracting more enemies to the wearer.
Kigae shook her head as she saw the room with the arena, she could tell where this was going and didn't like it at all. She didn't like arenas, the whole idea of people fighting purely for the amusement of others sickened her. As much as she enjoyed fighting, Kigae always made sure the fights she involved herself in had a point. Well, apparently the point here was to get her Dresspheres back. It was a good thing Kigae had some martial skill thanks to her time with the Crusaders, though she knew she wanted her Dresspheres back as soon as possible.
Kigae approached the arena but stopped when she saw the red aura in the center of the room. That didn't look good. But it got worse. Kigae's entire body stiffened as she saw the orbs of various colors appear and start to summon something. Pyreflies! Thought Kigae, a loathing hatred filling her as she saw a creature she could only recognize as a fiend appear before her. A Chimera! It looked slightly different from the one she fought back on Spira but that didn't matter, because all she knew at that moment was anger.
When the creature roared at them, causing the winged shoes to disappear, Kigae didn't even flinch. The only thing that brought her out of her anger was when Coffee spoke.
"That's...a lot of heads to look out for," the Viera muttered looking at the beast. "Any ideas...besides running our butts off to get our stuff?"
Kigae turned her head slightly to her friend as she spoke in a low voice, "Yeah, I'll kick its ass, you go get our stuff." Her plan was convenient, though she didn't know it. The sooner Coffee got her stuff, the sooner she could take off the breastplate draining her. And because of Kigae's girdle, the Chimera would end up focusing on her anyway.
Without waiting for Coffee's reply, Kigae charged at the Chimera. The various heads of the creature roared at Kigae, who didn't even care that she didn't have a weapon. When the Chimera tried to spit fire at Kigae, she jumped to the side, rolling when she hit the ground. As she came up from the roll, the Chimera's snake tail swung at her, trying to knock her off her feet. Kigae let it hit her, grabbing it as it did. Even as the impact knocked the breath out of her, she wrapped her legs around the tail so as not to get thrown off at the tail thrashed around. The snake head at the end turned and tried to bite her, it got smacked by Kigae's fist, stunning it before Kigae grabbed it at the base of its neck, intending to strangle it.
At this point the Chimera was quite pissed, and thrashed its tail against the ground hard enough that Kigae finally let go, and was sent flying across the room into the wall. Bruised, Kigae got back up, ready to continue her crazy fistfight with the large beast. She glanced over at the wall where the weapons were chained to see if Coffee had grabbed their stuff yet. It wasn't until that moment that Kigae wondered what Coffee might think of her reaction.
((I'm not sure if your colorful orbs were Pyreflies or not but they sounded like they were, so if they aren't then its simply a mistake on Kigae's part, however, I wanted her to have a strong reaction since she hates the Fiends of Spira))

(D: it's not causing any harm or epic change, sooo ONWARRD)
A brow quirked for a moment only to settle once agreeing; she had the leg power to retrieve it quickly before the blasted chimera can wreck too much havoc. Once Kigae had the chimera occupied, the viera darted towards the other end evading the flames that had burned the ground.
In mid stride, she can feel the weight on her shoulders; her legs began to move slower than a norm viera, which made her growl lowly. Knowing full-well of her pontential, the viera strained to move faster, while not realizing why she felt a weighted struggled holding her back. Besides, dwelling on it, she pushed herself to make it across the other end. Gripping the chains, she began to yank on it until it slackened its tightness, while a harsh sting clung to her muscles. The halberd was first to be freed only to use it to free the dresspheres with a swing at their bounds. It took more strikes than neccessary to release them, and the viera bit down her lips refusing to emit a heavy stressed exhale.
Turning on her toes, Coffee swayed before leaning on the cool temple walls, while the flames of the hearth illuminated a warm hue. Tucking the dresspheres in her shirt, she finally sharply inhaled. She felt dizzy, while weight pushed down on her frame. In frustration, she raked her claws against the wall before pushing herself away from it; she had to get to Kigae.
The run started with a stumble as she headed towards the chimera while the gorgon eyes on the breastplate started to glow. It was slowly greeting brighter, while Coffee was getting weaker. Feeling the drain on her, she got close enough to swipe her black claws against the beast draining its stamina like a parasite. With the slash of her claws with the left, the stab of the halberd into its hind legs came next. Ears turned hearing a hiss, but it moved quickly she only saw a pair of fangs drawing closer to her. With some of her strength replinished, the halberd was pulled quickly to fend it off. Emitting a hiss of her own, she jabbed her claws, which illuminated white, into the snake's eyes. It whipped away after being blinded and injured.
"Kigae!" she shouted, while pulling out her bag of caramels, which also held her dresspheres in it for safe keeping. With a knot tightly formed, she tossed it.
When she glanced at the wall, Kigae noticed that all of the weapons were gone, the chains broken. Her eyes then immediately turned to Coffee, who was attacking the back of the Chimera with her claws and Esmeralda. Kigae couldn't see her Dresspheres, but since they weren't on the wall, she trusted that Coffee had them. However, there was something that worried Kigae, to the point she forgot her Dresspheres for a moment.
The Gorgon symbol that had been on her breastplate was glowing. Worse, Coffee looked dead tired, which wasn't right since all she had done was run across the room and back. It looked like Coffee had just run all day nonstop. Before Kigae could say anything however, Coffee blinded the snake head and tossed Kigae the bag of Caramels.
Kigae instantly understood and ran a few meters from the Chimera while she opened the bag and whipped out her Garment Grid. Kigae slapped on the Grid and touched the Gunner Dressphere. Her favorite outfit once again on her body, Kigae turned around, aimed her revolver at the Dragon Head, and said, "Cheap Shot!" The bullet flew straight and true, hitting the Dragon square in the eye, penetrating it all the way through, killing that particular head instantly.
"Coffee! Taking off that armor, now!" She said, as she ran forward and fired several more shots trying to draw the Chimera's attention completely so that Coffee would have a moment to take off the armor that seemed to be draining her energy. At that moment, she tugged on her Girdle, to make sure she could in fact take hers off. If not, they probably had to kill the Chimera first.

The Chimera growled lowly feeling the pain of the snake through it's spine. Both eyes were red and useless for sight. The quadrupedal animal turned towards the source, while baring its fangs from both the lion and the dragon; the goat head merely baughed, while bobbing its horned head in a hostile fashion. Taking a deep breath, it exhaled a flame from its core.
Eyes narrowed seeing the fires getting brighter as it came closer. With a new drain starting, she forced herself to run out of the way before she can feel the full weight of exhaustion, while feeding the gorgon on her chest. A flame source died down with a shrieking cry; the dragon swayed it's head before hanging slimply; blood drizzled down its snout onto its lolled tounge. It sent a domino effect as the lion roared and the goat winced. The pyro attack was short lived when they nuzzled the dead counterpart.
Seeing a break, the viera leaned down to her knees slackening. Hooded eyes flicked up hearing the demand, and her ears twitched. She hadn't thought or took the time to contemplate the source of her exhaustion, since it definately not the norm. A green glow caught her attention and noticed what Kigae referred to. A scaled face with serpentine hair flaired around it like rays of the sun smiled wickedly at her. The eyes shimmered like bright emeralds, and it was getting brighter. Not thinking twice, she moved to unlatch the breast plate from her.
Simultaneously, Athena's eyes flashed upon with a crack on her face, a smile. A chuckle shook the marble statue as she turned around to watch. Did these mortals think it would all be that simple? It was a challenge for a reason. Seeing the foolish attempt she clicked her tongue in dissappointment. Bringing her palm to her lips, she blew dust, and like a grey bog it wrapped around the viera's left hand turning it into stone. That would surely make her think twice of trying to remove the breastplate.
"Was that neccessary Athena, the hexed items were enough," Hephaestus muttered only to recieve a rather cold glance.
"If we do not educate these mortals, then they wouldn't respect the gods. This will make them think twice in blaspheming my temple with heinous acts...like that forsaken gorgon," Athena replied curtly. "Don't cross me again Hephaestus; I didn't strike back the last time, or shall I consider it?"
The blacksmith god went silent and turned back to his cold stone figure. He knew very well to tread lightly with Athena; she was Zeus' favorite and a fine warrioress on her on. The stone goddess hummed lowly once sensing Hephaestus' departure and contemplated.
"I don't even think your wife would admire a mortal where her things...either," her eyes narrowed and squinted, and the girdle fastened tightly in a discomforting manner. "Go Chimera burn her down with your pyre!"
"Gaaah Dammit!" The viera snarled; her eye twitched at her hand. What in the world she was going to do with it. Ears twitched to the chimera's footsteps, but they bounded away from her. The goat grunted; the lion growled, and from their mouths a funnel of fire whipped free.
Swearing under her breath, the viera pushed herself forward, with the Esmeralda in her right. The blade tinted purple as it sank through the beast's hindleg in a swipe. Dropping the halberd, she dug her claws into the beast's hid to drain as much strength she needed. It came with a price of a snake biting her neck. With a snarl, the viera drew back her bloody claws and slice the snake head off. Stepping back, she ignored the wound on her neck with the new adrenaline surging her. Coffee was a bit more delighted that the blasted thing was immobolized...momentarly.
Instinctively, her nose twitched to pick up Kigae's scent.
Kigae took a fair bit of pride in taking out the Dragon Head, especially since it seemed to cause all the heads pain. Take that ya Fiend bastard. She thought to her self as she tried to take off her Girdle. When she tried however, she only felt it tighten, painfully. "Ah, dammit!" She said, as she heard Athena and Hephaestus talk to each other. Hexed items? Figures that they were, though Kigae briefly wondered what Hex the Winged Shoes would have had. It was obvious from Coffee's exhaustion that it was draining her energy, though Kigae hadn't yet felt any detrimental effects from her belt. Except...maybe...yes, it seemed that the Chimera was always glad to pay attention to her, so maybe it made her the monster's primary target. Well that wasn't bad at all, considering Kigae wanted nothing more than to rip this Fiend's throats out with her bare hands.
From what she managed to hear from the God's chat, Hephaestus actually wanted to play fair, and simply put them through a challenge, Athena however, was the one really in charge, and she wanted to teach them a lesson, and was making sure they suffered through it. Bitch. At that point she looked at Coffee and saw her hand turned to stone. "Coffee!" She yelled, worried for her friend. She heard off to the side Athena making a snide comment about Hephaestus's wife, Aphrodite. She then ordered the Chimera to burn them.
Kigae sprinted to the side, shooting more shots at the Chimera to make sure it stayed focused on her, and not Coffee. She could see under the large monster's legs though, as Coffee took a slice at the Chimera's hindquarters and then dropped her weapon so she could dig her claws into its hide, even letting the snake bite her neck so she could, though she decapitated it soon after that. As she stepped back, the Chimera seemed immobilized for a moment, while a new fire seemed to fill Coffee's eyes. Kigae cursed the fact that she didn't have the White Mage Dressphere yet, it would be so useful right about now. She made a mental side-note to have the Moogles Synthesize her one at the next opportunity, surely she had enough materials.
Taking advantage of the pause in the battle, Kigae turned to the statues defiantly saying, "Gods schmods, I only respect people who actually have the balls to fight me fair and square. I have more respect for this worthless Fiend than I have for the likes of you!" She then sprinted around the Chimera calling out to Coffee, "Coffee, stay perfectly still!" As she aimed her gun at the straps of Coffee's cursed breastplate, a plan in mind. "Enchanted Ammo!" She said, imbuing her gun with magical energy. She fired several shots in rapid succession, hitting the straps of Coffee's breastplate perfectly, none of her bullets even scratching Coffee. Hopefully Kigae could damage the breastplate enough to make it fall off, ending the curse of that blasted Gorgon.
((what would have been the hex on the winged shoes? I've been curious about that for a while))

YAY POSTY TIEM
The scent of her blood was heavier in her nose along with the chimera right next to her, which made it difficult for her nose to navigate through the thick musk to pin point Kigae, but her voice was enough. She didn't sound injured or in pain, but infuriated. Knowing that she was fine, Coffee was going to take it upon herself to demolish the rest of this beast.
With anticipation, the rodent crouched down ready for her legs to spring up to take her over to land on the beast's back, but her legs locked. Ears turned towards Kigae's voice; her brows furrowed wondering what was going through the warrioress' mind. Her body naturally stiffened, while the viera was about to question. Instincts told her to hault, while her ears picked up the gun's tinkering before a shot was fired. The hairs on her neck stood once hearing it get closer, but as it treaded past she felt a slacken of weight.
The breastplate dangled from her frame, and with a shrug of her shoulder, it clanged against the temple's floor; the gorgon eye's flashed with color before fading. The green mist elevated from it before speeding into the viera's nose and mouth giving back what it took. Her muscles screamed for movement and activity to burn off the additional energy; for an appetizer, her foot flicked up the shield in the air before kicking it away to hit a marble statue. With a snort, she dipped down to grab Esmeralda.
"Now to finish this," the viera rotated her neck before leaping onto the immobolize chimera. Her heels sank into the furry back before sitting right above its neck. Although the chimera couldn't move, it can still breath flames. Feeling the invader, they exhaled a thick pyre that curled from their mouths. Raising the halberd, she stabbed down the lion's neck where it joined with the spine continously until she heard a defined crack. She forced the halberd to get stuck for she can tug it back to dislodge the bone.
Kigae cheered in triumph when she saw the breastplate hit the ground, its curse broken, and better yet, it looked like it was returning whatever it had been stealing from Coffee. Hell Yeah for on the spot bright ideas! Kigae turned to the Chimera ready to get back to ass-kicking now that the major hindrance was out of the way.
Kigae watched as Coffee flicked up a shield before kicking it away at a marble statue. She must be getting a little antsy with all that energy back. She then leaped onto the Chimera's back to stab her halberd into the lion's neck, wiggling it deeper before tugging it out with a loud CRACK! Kigae grinned, liking the slow death the Chimera was suffering.
With the snake decapitated, the dragon shot in the head, and the lion getting a large halberd shoved into its neck, all that was left were the goat and hawk heads, who were screaming in shared pain over what was happening to the lion. Kigae took aim and fired two "Cheap Shot!"'s into their annoying faces, killing them as well.
Now, as soon as Coffee finished up with the lion head, they'd be done, with this challenge anyway. Kigae doubted that Athena would let this slide.

The kill was finally complete and the viera was semi-satisfied. Yanking back her halberd, she walked down the fallen creature, walking on the lion's head. Her muscles still twitched and spasmed giving the huntress a high. Her marroon eyes scanned over the limp heads looking at their still eyes to be sure there weren't any life in them; it would benefit them to be dead especially with her next task.
"Time to collect," her foot pressed against the lion to turn it over on the side. Stepping back, she made sure to get a clean view before slashing on its head until hearing a small clink. Bending down she grabbed her prize before doing the same to the goat and the dragon. The viera mutilated the body until she had fangs from every head excluding the hawk, but she made up for it for taking one of the chimera's claws. Once done she walked up to Kigae before she can be questioned. Putting the halberd in its holder across her back, she used her free hand to take a pistol and drop some trinkets in the gunner's hand. "You never know what those moogles can do with these. It better be worth it."
Her finger dangled the gun loosely like an ornament decorating a christmas tree. The viera was paying attention to whether she may freely let a bullet rip, because her eyes were glued to Kigae's waist. Her nose wrinkled at it, and a claw hooked the belt dragging the gunner closer. Her brow arched feeling its tightness and already she was reaching for Esmeralda, "you would pick this thing. Now you stay still...very still."
If she can shoot very closely at her, then there shouldn't be much quarreling in having a blade near one's waistline. Kneeling down to get a better look, an ear twitched hearing the marble shifted. Coffee decided to go on mute mode; she so didn't have any interest to listen to more talking rocks.
Instead of a rant, a loud ring emitted from the statue as if it was a signal. It was quite annoying causing the viera to flatten her ears, "Can you use your guns to shut that thing up?"
Glad that the damn fiend was finally dead, Kigae watched and waited for the creature to dissipate into Pyreflies, but for some reason it didn't. In fact, Coffee proceeded to cut into the corpse, taking some fangs and its claws. Damn, I guess it wasn't really a fiend. Kigae thought to herself, slightly upset at having got riled up by the creature when it only looked similar to what she really hated.
Kigae didn't have time to question Coffee as to what she was doing when she took Kigae's massive revolver and put the materials in Kigae's hand saying, "You never know what those Moogles can do with these. It better be worth it." Prompting Kigae to grin as she pocketed the materials.
"Thanks." Kigae said as she watched her gun dangle from Coffee's finger for a moment. She then noticed that Coffee's eyes were pointed rather low at Kigae's body. As Coffee grabbed and pulled on Kigae's girdle, she finally remembered it. She was wondering how to get it off, since it was much too tight against her skin to shoot it off like she did for the Viera.
"You would pick this thing. Now you stay still...very still." Was Coffee's comment about the girdle, to which Kigae couldn't reply. For all she knew, she had picked the safest item, as she had no idea what the winged shoes were and beyond the Chimera's willingness to focus on her, Kigae couldn't think of any side effects. It was certainly nicer than having all your energy drained away by a gorgon's curse. Nonetheless, she stayed perfectly still for Coffee as Coffee had for her when she shot the breastplate off.
Suddenly the marble statues started to make an alarm sound. Very annoying it was. It even made Coffee flatten her ears as she asked, "Can you use your guns to shut that thing up?"
"With pleasure." Kigae replied, taking back her gun and aiming it at the statues. She fired off a couple enchanted ammo shots, destroying the statues and putting an end to the alarm sound. She then stayed still and waited for Coffee to cut off the girdle.
(I finished drawing a Gladiator Dressphere for Kigae, gonna put it in my art thread. I accidentally deleted your pm where you talked about your suggestions, could you resend your ideas?)

With a twist to get the blade under the belt, the viera just flicked her wrist until she heard a satisfying tear. The knick in the belt was enough for the halberd to trail north until it shedded off like snake skin. The girdle expanded from its tight grip and clang to the floor with a thump. Standing back up, Coffee looked onward. Her ears followed suit with a swift turn. She wondered why she hadn't noticed the little arch that led to another room.
It laid alone agaisnt the wall where their weaponry were bound. Her brows dipped in displeasure for not catching one the minute detail. Perhaps the chimera was a big distraction enough, nor was the viera was going to leave her halberd behind in this dust hole called a temple. It wasn't going to be a graveyard soon, especially with this corpse of the chimera and perhaps a cyclops upstairs. An ear turned towards Kigae, "maybe they will send a cleaning boy to clean up the mess. As for us, it seems the obvious move is..."
Her eyes narrowed at the archway leading to a hall and who knows what. If this place was run by talking rocks, Coffee wasn't about to stroll too carelessly.
When Coffee cut off the girdle, Kigae felt immense relief having that tight belt off. She hadn't realized just how tight the damn thing had been getting around her waist. She then noticed that Coffee's eyes had turned to the side. Following them, Kigae noticed for the first time as well the arch on the far wall.
Kigae watched as Coffee's ear turned to her as she said, "maybe they will send a cleaning boy to clean up the mess. As for us, it seems the obvious move is..."
"Through that archway." Kigae finished Coffee's statement before sarcastically saying, "Oh goody." Kigae rolled her eyes as she slowly started to walk towards the arch. She didn't like the idea of what might be waiting through that arch, but she figured that they had no choice but to go through there, unless they wanted to head home empty-handed. And Kigae never went home empty-handed.

(Sorry for ze delaay)
Following behind, Coffee's left ear twitched and her nose gave a light twitch. She needed something to go off on, since this temple was loaded with enough roadblocks. Well she can't complain; this world was an active maze compared to the slumber Traverse Town. As she walked through the archway, she can feel the heat of the hearths waver away from her. It was still warm, but lacked the intensity of the flames.
(i will halt right here at the moment...going to see if Doogs is still going to join this thread)
