The Fragile Alliance. That's what we call ourselves. Fenrir's Fang, Delta Technologies, Dragon's Chain, Lightwing...and us. We are the Blackthorn Corporation, and we are the most powerful of them all.

It is not a desirable position. The others chip away at our strength, looking to bring us down. Governments seek to destroy us. Countless families who have lost sons and daughters to our blades cry out for our blood. But it is worth it. We can destroy nations at a whim, bring the most pathetic revolutions to glorious victory.

There are six of us, the founders of the Corporation. Some of us are old, some of us are very young. But we all have one thing in common. Our abilities. They have carried us through many battles and will continue to do so. General Lockheart is pyrokinetic. General Craig is a shapeshifter. General Wright is nigh invulnerable. We are not the only ones with these abilities, however.

That's where you come in. You have become an Associate because of what you possess. You are a sensitive, someone with a very minor ability. All of the organizations desire to possess people like you, people who may someday have the capacity to defeat us. Lightwing wishes for peace, and will use force to reach that goal if necessary. The Chain wishes for total anarchy, and will use you to destroy nations and reach that purpose. Delta and Fenrir have fallen far, and will use you in a plan to regain power. And us? Well, if you join us, we'll make sure that none of this happens.

I will not lie to you. To be a sensitive in any of these organizations is a cruel and painful existence. Perhaps you will die. Perhaps you will go insane. None has ever made it very far. Whether or not you make it through depends entirely on your skills, your strength.

In the Fragile Alliance, players work as sensitives, people with budding psychic gifts, and join one of the five most powerful mercenary organization in the world. They undergo missions at the orders of their leaders and fight in the many conflicts that arise between different mercenary organizations and crime syndicates.

However, the leaders themselves are extremely powerful and dangerous, ranging from distant and uncaring to violently psychotic. The organizations are always just a step away from attacking each other, alliances pushed to the breaking point. Wars will be waged. Lives will be lost. Will you be able to handle it?
