In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Traverse Town...it had been quite sometime since he had seen it....and it still looked so..gloomy. Nevermind that though, there was still much to do here. As the male expected the Heartless were still running around unchecked......that was about to change....so many things were about to change.....Caxnon would make sure of that.
As the Darklings ran around the area a surprisingly tall individual followed close behind them. Sensing someone nearby the creatures decided to attack. Each of them lunged at the male...there appeared to be about four in total.
It took only a few seconds for the creatures to fall on their backs and vanish back into the darkness from which they came. The only think left standing was the male carrying a weapon that only few would mistake for a plane sword.
Putting away his weapon as quickly as it was drawn.
Without much hesitation he simply tapped the ring on his finger and waited.
If anyone of them were still alive...someone would come.
And there the man waited.....hoping that his comrades gave not yet fallen.
"I was wondering when you'd show up. Seriously, dude, you shouldn't vanish all out of the sudden. You nearly had An on a nervous breakout." A voice called out from the shadows, its source unmasking itself as he stepped forward, shaking his head in disapproval. The moon shined brightly above them that night, its light being casted down on the younger man. Weapons away and hands in his pockets, he eyed the red headed one.
Mikhail had been pretty much near him when he decided to activate that secret device of his and it didn't take too long to find Caxnon. After all, with that unusual hairstyle and with that horrible baby face of his you couldn't miss the man. Rutherford knew he had been busy facing his own demons as the pyromancer had been busy with issues of his own. Leading the Guardians was no easy task, specially when you had an emotional gladiator as your co-leader. A soft sigh escaped him as he thought of Max, his partner in crime.
Where was he, anyway?
Anyway, it did not matter now. Caxnon had returned and speaking to him was the raven headed's primary objective. Mikhail walked around, finding a place to sit on the edge of a nearby fountain. His eyes met the former nobody's as he offered him a sly grin. The pyro adept's eyes resembled the expression he had held ever since months ago: emptiness, though a faint happiness had been growing in the past few months. It was hard to notice such feeling, though, and it was quite better that way; no emotional risks, immunity to manipulation.
"So what have you been up to? One such as you wouldn't have vanished for pure desire."
Caxnon wasn't surprised to see Mikeal...after all he was always quite active. One was enough for now...so he simply turned off the transmitter. It had been quite some time since had seen the man...and he looked well...slightly......dead..even if that was possible. But still it was good to see someone familiar...and not some random person looking for more rum...seriously why did they always ask him for it?
Anyway he needed information right now, well they both needed it...but small talk never hurt. '' Yes well you know how it is.....one minute you have nothing to do the next you have to stand for hours as people paint your picture, have flowers thrown at your feet and sign thousands of autographs.....quite tiresome.'' Caxnon said hoping to lighten up the mood.
There wasn't anything light about it...but still he had to try. He wasn't about to tell Mikeal how difficult it was for him to understand how to use human emotions...but sill all was good.
'' Kidding Aside.....I take it that things haven't been going well. At least not to your liking anyway.'' he paused to lean on the street light he was standing next to.
'' Alright fill me in....what I have I missed...unless of course you have questions of your own.''
He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow with curiosity as the red head spoke, attempting to amuse him with his latest... joke, if you could call that a joke. Seriously, he had been four months away, four months, and this was the best he could come up with? Caxnon really needed help in the humor department... and fast. One would have thought he wasn't going to be so hopeless when he carried a considerable amount of his past memories within, but it seemed that he was mistaken.
Again.
"Well, compared to how things were in the last couple of months this is paradise. However, we can't get too overconfident; the enemy's still there and we remain as a minor nuisance as we are now. There is still much to do Caxnon, and I am glad you are back."
Naturally, he requested to be informed of the happenings while he was away. This would never get old, would it? The pyromancer stood up, leaning on a nearby while as he crossed his arms over his chest; this reminded him that he would have to meet Jadis again sometime soon... it had been a while since they had had their last chat. Mikhail raised his head, looking at the former nobody once more before he answered.
"Nothing outstanding had been going on, mere recruiting and gathering of the wandering sheep. I have taken a few under the Guardians' wings but there are still some that remain loose and yet others who have not been discovered. On the other hand, the issue of a base still remains. Any one can come to Traverse Town so it wouldn't be a wise choice to adopt the town as our homeworld. I have talked to the ruler of Disney Castle about having that world as a safe haven, but I believe we'd be many for them to host. In short, we would need a world of our own... one that has yet to be fully stained by darkness."
"But what about you? I'm curious... what have you been doing all this time?"
Well..that wasn't................ helpful. He just told him what he already knew...well aside from the castle part...That was new. But alas...that was how it was. Still though it was slightly his fault, no one told him to disappear every now and then. He was wondering If Jadis had been up to anything lately...and the only think he's heard was about more recurits..this wouldn't do something had to be done...and quickly.
'' Very well...if thats all that happened I haven't missed much.'' Caxnon said while still n deep thought. This was soon interubted when Mikeal asked a question.
'' Me?......At first I was trying to gather information. It was pointless really...since they keep themselves so secure. For the most part I was training myself..I needed to understand a few things.'' Caxnon said.
If part of what he said didn't make sense it was because he was still thinking about several things.
"Indeed, you have not. Sadly, however, I'm afraid this small era of... "peace" shall be short lived. The shadows can't remain still for so long and the fact that they have heard about us has reached my very own ears. We must make haste... and gather all of the Guardians so they can be instructed and trained for the battles to come."
After that, he would remain silent... at least through Caxnon's whole essay about his own whereabouts. It was short and filled with vagueness, yes, but he wouldn't pressure his friend further; at least, not now. Mikhail simply nodded, running a hand through his hair as he glanced at the nearby buildings. The town... this town... Traverse Town... it could cease to exist as welll. Sure, Jadis would loyally stand to protect it from those than don't belong but the pyromancer's believed it wouldn't be enough. The world needed to stand with courage so they could be successful; if it was destroyed, where would the Lost Ones end up in?
The consequences could be indeed fatal.
"I wonder, Caxnon... since you've been around for a while, disappearing every now and then for training... I'm sure you have dominated several techniques..." Mikhail looked back at the red head, sapphire eyes meeting brown ones as he continued to speak. "Is there... anything you could teach me? It could sure help... a lot."
More rubbish absolute rubbish. Caxnon had alreadly stopped listening....what more was left? Heartless here..darkness there still a no match for the enemy...all the same lines. Something has been nagging him for quite some time since he got here....and it didn't take him long to figure it out.
Once again he was pulled out of his head when Mikeal said something about training. Well what he said did make sense...and who was he to refuse. '' It really depends on what you can do....but I see no harm in it...I have only one more queston.'' he paused and looked around the town even the sent was different...If their was one think he missed about being a nobody it was the aura sensing.
Mikhail offered him a big grin when he accepted to instruct him in... well, something! Like he had said before, anything would help. However, he sure seemed quite... trapped in his thoughts and the pyromancer could clearly sense some distress around him. Tilting his head in curiosity, the man wondered what could be bothering Caxnon; he instantly knew when he managed to speak.
"Where is she?''
She... a simple pronoun, meant to substitute many names. Although the question was vague indeed, Mikhail immediately understood. He couldn't help but to feel slightly... jealous, a small feeling of hostility growing toward Caxnon. The pyromancer quickly shook his head, dismissing those feelings away. Sure, he had grown to be somewhat protective of the blue headed knightress but he should really limit himself.
"Antique's alright... gleeful as always. She's probably somewhere around here..."
He did not need to know the details of her past condition; after all, she had awoken and was no longer "frozen in carbonite". Memories of her "revival" began to fill Mikhail's mind, leading him to smile a bit.
The male simply shook his head after seeing Mikeal's reaction. Seriously you would think that the guy would be a bit more careful....he practically threw his feelings everywhere....and Caxnon could tell this even before he had any emotions, so that says a lot. Something did cross his mind however. What exactly did Mikeal presume? Only two people knew that his nobody mind was still intact...so how come he wasn't questioned......no matter.
Caxnon didn't want to meet Antique just yet...at least not yet. Still it wasn't hard to tell that something happened while he was away. Oddly enough whatever Antique did to him still had some sort of effect. Wait perhaps thats why his mind as intact? No no no...that was juts crazy.
'' Very well....keep your thoughts.'' Caxnon said then suddenly slipped right back into his head again. He couldn't stop doing that these days, unfortunately he had completely forgotten what they were talking about...how odd.
After realizing what the hell he had just been doing, Mikhail wiped that cocky smile off his face. Indeed, he had recently begun to show way too many feelings when he socialized with others, perhaps too many. Sure, one could say that the girl had had quite a positive effect on his persona but it sure brought weaknesses to it. His brow furrowed as he thought about this, concluding on his need to adopt his past blank faces once again, those than carried no expression at all.
The man glanced at Caxnon one more, well knowing that he was deep in thought. The pyromancer really couldn't help but supposing something else troubled the former nobody and he was quite tempted to touch the subject and as him about it. However, like he had said before, it wasn't the time or place to set free such queries and doubts.
"Do you have any more questions? Or shall we begin the training session now?"
As Mikeal thought something was troubling Caxnon...as things always did. It wasn't only because of Elixia either. Something else had been bothering him. Wonderful he was able to be bothered now...just great. All these emotions were starting to be a bother...it's not like he wasn't used to them now...but still....they were difficult.
There was still so much he had to figure out...and so much he learned. Wouldn't it have been easier if he just disappeared? Why was he still around? Wasn't his original self supposed to control this body? And If not....why was he given full control?
All these questions were never getting him anywhere...and now wasn't the time to address them either.
'' I have something to say actually If you would allow me that is'' Caxnon paused to give a few things some more thought.
'' I'm sorry. I haven't been very helpful to any of you, I wasn't present at the castle...nor was I around when I could of been of some use. Lastly I left everyone once I believed we were ready....and for that I'm very sorry.'' Caxnon said.
He then turned around to face Mikeal to say one more think.
'' And stop hiding what you feel. The heart is a powerful thing, If you stop believing in it....you'll lose yourself. Trust me being able to feel is a gift''
This was true after all...unlike Mikeal Caxnon had no life waiting for him....he was quite expendilbe really. Which is why he was here..to make sure everyone survived....and if he didn't very well...no one would really lose anything significant.
When Caxnon stated there was something more for them to discuss, Mikhail simply nodded as he waited for the red head to speak once more. When he did, the pyromancer couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his... "apology". There was nothing to forgive as there had been no harm done. Besides, even if Caxnon had been available at that time he wouldn't have been invited; Mikhail's original plan was to go to the castle alone, but Antique had been so determined to join him he was unable to do anything to stop her.
He couldn't help but to be a bit of a loner regarding such things, but that would probably change soon; some of the newest recruits needed proper training and instruction and it would sure be wise to take them along in future missions. Those that didn't offer mortal dangers, that is.
However, he did not expect a second part of Caxnon's speech; lectures. It was quite ironic, really, how he spoke of the heart when he had lacked one for so much time. Indeed, Mikhail was aware of the changes in the former nobody's aura but had not spoken about them. He did not wish to disturb him with his questions.
Now, Caxnon's way of thinking was quite a flawed one. There certainly was a spark of life waiting for him to notice it; in fact, there were many bright sparks all over Traverse Town. Antique, Reiho, Drago, Mikhail... all of them had noticed his absence and had been waiting for his return. They were his friends and even if they didn't show it all the time they did care about his well-being. If he didn't do very well... if he was to perish... all of those people -would- lose something significant.
"Indeed, feeling is a gift but it can also turn to be a weakness. Hiding one's emotions is lke shielding your thoughts... it will make it harder to be manipulated by the enemy. Do not mistake my words, I do know about the heart's strength and that jazz. However, with power comes a weakness and -that- is what I am hiding. She certainly knows my heart, anyway, so there is no need for me to pour it all over the place."
'''eh.....good point'' was all the male could say. Not much of what Mikeal said make a lick of sense to him....but at least he understood.....well something. That aside there was the matter that Mikeal spoke of..something about...training was it? Well Caxnon had no idea what Mikeal was looking for so why not start their first right? But still, he wasn't sure that there was anything he could teach that MIkeal didn't already know.
'' As for the training as I said it depends on what you can do, and generally what your trying to get better at''
( short I know sorry...I used up all my juice in our thread with Kuri.)
"As for the training, as I said, it depends on what you can do and generally what you're trying to get better at.''
Well, Mikhail wasn't one to get that nitpicky when it came to learning; really, anything that could sharpen his fighting skills would surely help when the time came to fight. But since Caxnon had insisted, the pyromancer guessed he'd have to choose... but choose between what choices? Indeed, the former nobody hadn't told him what he could teach him. Attempting to learn hydro or florakinesis would end up in complete and utter failures; his control over fire was too advanced for him to be versed in its opposite elements.
"Maybe... maybe something that will make me able to move faster. You know, quicker, to strike with haste." he began, being quite a speedy one. Mikhail wondered if Caxnon possessed such training, but it was worth a shot. In case he didn't, however, Mikhail should probably make another... "request". It had been quite a while since he had exploited the darkness in his heart further and it seemed like a good time to learn something new. "Or maybe something related to darkness? I've been wanting to take advantage of this... gift."
