In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

358/2 Days: The cryptic title seems to refer to the 358 days that Roxas spent as a member of the Organization XIII (a week less than a year) while the /2 is geared towards how Roxas is half of Sora and it is his story.
Xion: Xion is the fourteenth member of Organization XIII, first appearing in the game Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. She is not actually a Nobody, but a doll created by Xemnas from Sora's leaked memories. Her face was based off of Sora's strongest memory, Kairi, but as Naminé pieced together Sora's memories, she began to physically look like Sora.
The plan was for Xion to eventually become a complete Sora replica, due to the fact that Xemnas was unsure if he could rely on the actual Sora to gather him enough hearts for Kingdom Hearts. Eventually she would have had to absorb Roxas to become whole, and if that were to happen, the original Sora would never awaken. Eventually she is absorbed by Roxas instead, thus giving him the ability to dual-wield.
On another related note, she seems to be able to shift her appearances between not only herself and Sora, but mysteriously enough, Ven from Birth By Sleep. She shows this appearance to Xigbar who is so stunned by the image, Xion is able to get the upper hand in a short scuffle between the two of them. This would mean that Xigbar (or his original self, Braig, met Ventus at some point in the past).
Axel: Axel's past in 358/2 Days has been partially revealed. In the Secret Reports, not only is it revealed that he and Saïx knew one another before they became Nobodies, but they were friends, and that Saïx is still known to speak to Axel using his original self's name: Lea.
Multiplayer: Multiplayer is completely noncanon, and unlockable characters include Xion, Riku, Sora, Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
Here we are, yet again. I am repurposing this thread from a 352/8 Days spoiler thread in to an all-encompassing Future KH game spoiler thread, and I'm kicking said switch off with a bang. SPOILERS AHEAD MATEY'S!
First off, the brand spankin' new synopsis of the NEW Birth By Sleep trailer, shown only a fortnight or so ago at the Tokyo Game Show 2009.
The trailer opens with the lines, “In the fate of all, there is no such thing as chance.”
The first scene begins with Aqua, Ven, and Terra standing in a starlit area with a castle and town in the background; possibly Radiant Garden. Aqua talks about a legend about star shaped objects and how if they ever become separated, they’ll definitely meet again as long as they have their charms. During this, Aqua presents Terra and Ven with good luck charms made up of seashells similar to the one Kairi gives Sora, except different colors. Terra’s is orange, Ven’s is green, and Aqua’s is blue. The three stick their hands out in a pact and then the scene switches.
The new character that appears to be their Master is shown talking to Aqua and Terra about the “Master Qualification Exam”, there are two large chairs behind him and Master Xehanort sits upon one to the right. He has an aged face and chiseled features, dark hair tied back and wears a dark blue top with silver straps making an X shape across his front. He also wears a white coat with a red lining around the hood. Terra and Aqua are lined up in front of the two masters, the area they’re in looks like a brightly lit palace with stained glass windows.
Sorry to break in here, but Cadence can attest to this. I'm venturing a guess that Master Xehanort is actually Braig/Xigbar. It's already been confirmed that he's seen "other" Keyblade masters fight in the past, but despite the fact that he is only one of six other original researchers who was alive during BbS, he's the only one to mention any of it.
Aside from the fact that he looks a lot like Master Xehanort, if you were to take away the eyepatch, apparently back then Master Xehanort has similar hairstyle to the Freeshooter.
I'm wondering if this "Room of Awakening/Sleep" and the BbS trailer tagtext "Memory of Xehanort" coincide, since both rooms appear to be in Castle Oblivion, which deals specifically with memories. Xigbar seeing Xion's face appear to him as Ventus, and saying in the Secret Report that Roxas looks and wields the Keyblade like "him". Are also points of interest.
After this a scene with Mickey riding on a large book atop a whirlpool of water is shown. He’s wearing the same outfit in previous Birth by Sleep screenshots. There are some broomsticks shown too, which allude to Mickey’s scene in Fantasia.
Then a plethora of cutscenes are shown consecutively. Terra with a very distressed Cinderella, aiding her.
Ven being awoken by Tinkerbell in Neverland. Also, in Neverland, when Hook examines the star fragment.
In Cinderella’s world, Aqua is in the middle of the living room of Cinderella’s home. The Grand Duke is there asking ladies to put on a glass slipper.
In Dwarf Woodlands, Ven approaches the Witch and gives her the poisoned apple. A scene where Ven is talking with the seven dwarves within their cottage is shown next. The same scene from Aqua's gameplay is shown where Aqua approaches the seven dwarves gathered around Snow White’s sleeping case.
The next scene consists of Stitch being pursued by Unverse that are later defeated by Aqua. Also a small scene where Stitch gives Ven a stuffed toy (that looks like the lucky charm), and exclaims the word “Friend” to him.
The following cutscenes initiate once more with Ven standing across from the masked Keyblade wielder in the wastelands. When the masked wielder speaks, his voice is masculine but not deep, eluding that he may be quite young. He procures his gear-esque and eyes the Keyblade, and moves into a power stance that is the same way Riku holds the Keyblade, with his right arm bent up and the left one to the side. (In the Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix Ultimania, Nomura mentions that when Riku fell into darkness, he did not acquire his outfit by chance.)
Something is fishy with this Guardian who shops at the same places as Riku... but I'm not sure what...
Following this scene, Terra is shown in the courtyard of their castle and Master Xehanort is walking down the stairway leading down.
Following that, a short scene showing Aqua looking slighting confused in what looks like the same stained glass windowed palace from earlier scenes.
Then a scene with Ven being spoken to by a man greatly resembling Vexen - Even - appears, wearing a white lab coat like that of Young Xehanort in the flashback scenes of Kingdom Hearts II. They appear to be in the Radiant Garden.
In front of a large door, Dilan holds a long black spear and Aeleus holds a black long poled axe. They move into a defensive stance as they are approached by Ven.
It appears that, aside from being researchers, the original six moonlighted as Ansem The Wise's personal security detatchment.
After that, the same scene shown in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix where the Keyblade graveyard is reanimated in Birth by Sleep graphics, only Terra and company aren’t wearing their armor. Just like before, Master Xehanort is approaching the trio and the masked wielder appears out of him. Out of the Keyblades shown, the Sleeping Lion and Fenrir Sora used in Kingdom Hearts II can be recognized.
The trailer ends with the Japanese release date, January 2010.
Anyone else? Speculations? I'll try and get my hands on a video of the trailer if I can find one. Feel free to discuss this all here in this thread, but please be mindful: Others on the site don't want to know what's going on, so watch what and where you say things. The CBox is a no-no, randomly spouting things said or mentioned here is also fail. Be respectful, por fa-please.

Could it be that since Ven met with the masked keyblade weilder he had been absorbed by Xehanort and turned into his slave? Then once Xehanort became a human forme heartless the masked keyblader became his shadow guardian?
Also about the Keyblade graveyard...when Xehanort had them all fly into a tornado they couldve been sent away from Sunset Horizons and into the other worlds. The ones without keychains couldve reacted to the worlds they were sent to and keychains formed on them to remind the weilder of the world. Similar to how people buy souvenir keychains to put on their keys to remind the of their vacation.
More stuff. Kairi appears in Radiant Garden, possibly explaining how she would eventually end up in Destiny Islands. Also, Ven appears to crash through the glass at the Station of Awakening, while Terra and Aqua fight (Terra looks right pissed, too), and Terra Aqua and Ven all appear to have a place they hang out on a rocky outcropping, taking positions not unlike Sora, Riku and Kairi (or, if you must, Roxas, Axel, and Xion.)
Alright, what with BbS officially being released here in Japan today, spoilers... OFFICIAL spoilers, are now present in this thread. Beware.
First of all, yes, Terra and Xehanort are the same person. Kind of. At the climax of the story, the scenes of The Awakening and Birth By Sleep trailers happen. Here's the gameplay video.
Terra's armor, the Lingering Sentiment as we know him from Kingdom Hearts Final Mix+'s secret boss fight, now imprisons his heart and soul, while Xehanort keeps his body. Thus giving meanin to his name "Lingering Sentiment", and his "hatred for Xehanort" he proclaims in FM+.
Vanitas is VOICED by the same actor as SORA. You read that right. Apparently, Xehanort originally planned to use Ventus as his vessel instead of Terra, and pulled the Darkness from him, creating Vanitas (this also shows what Vanitas meant in the recent trailer when he says "I'll just have to make [Ventus] stronger"). Under his helm, Vanitas is a black haired, golden-eyed boy in his teens, very similar to Sora. How this ties Ven to Sora, I've still no clue, but it does likely answer why Ven/Vanitas and Sora/Roxas share similarities. Oddly, Ven is the only of the trio to NOT meet Sora and Riku when on Destiny Islands.
Aqua becomes the only Master Keyblade wielder of the three, though I don't have much info on her story yet, other than she meets Kairi.
I think it's right on par for what was always ASSUMED to have happened since KH2. That makes it anticipated and expected. Maybe obvious. But not "bad".
Before others try jumping on the high horse-led bandwagon, it shoud be noted that without playing through the game, or experiencing it, naysaying is kind of like yelling at a wall in an empty room: There's no argument you can make that won't make you look a bit dumb.
Fans thought that Namine was a Mary-Sue, that Roxas was Tidus with a Keyblade, that Xemnas was Sephiroth, that Xion was an undercover Kairi or a Mary-Sue. Guess who of them were right?
None of them. Why? Because they A) assumed to know more than they did without looking into it, B) didn't like the "spotlight being taken from their other favorite characters" and/or C) overused the term Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu to the point that it now encompasses any and all orignal material not created by the original author/producer. Which is a shame, because a lot of good original material is simply written off and labeled a very literary-derogative term.
Anyway.
In light of all this, I think I know exactly how KH3 is going to go, plotwise. Thanks to Kingdom Hearts Coded.
And there's a confirmed secret movie you have to do ridiculous amounts of stuff to view. It's over ten minutes long, so sayeth Nomura, and a very good addition to the plot/ tie-off.
I'm hoping they only use Richard Epcar for Terranort. I really doubt I could listen to his voice the entire game as Terra, too. He's good, but he doesn't have a main-character voice, to me.
~ TO carry on my thoughts before starting at:
"In light of all this, I think I know exactly how KH3 is going to go, plotwise. Thanks to Kingdom Hearts Coded."
The journal in Coded reads: "We must return to free them from their torment"
Seeing as how Aqua and Ventus’ fate, and that of the Lingering Sentiment are still somewhat of a mystery, with Ventus seen sleeping on a chair in a very Castle Oblivion-like room (The Room of Awakening? That might be why Terranort/Xemnas is looking for it, to find his original vessel Ven) and Aqua seen not only in Oblivion itself, but on the Dark Coastline, I shall direct you back to words spoken in the Jump Festa trailer, as spoken by DiZ:
“The world has been almost been swallowed by darkness many times, but always a keyblade wielding boy has come to save it. Perhaps if it is him... the boy who can connect his heart with anyone... Then he will be able to open the door and save those unhappy souls. His name is...”
It cuts there, to a scene of Sora, post-KH2, on Destiny Islands, watching the sunset.
Perhaps what the journal means, what DiZ means, what the Door to Light, and Room of Awakening itself means, are all pointing at KH3, where Sora free Ven, Aqua, perhaps save Terra’s Heart?
I mean, if Sora toted around Kairi's Heart, and Namine was made... what would happen when Master Xehanort implanted his into Terra? Ansem, Seeker of Darkness was likely Terra's corrupted Heart and Heartless... what of Master Xehanort? Maybe he will be an enemy in KH3.
Ansem SoD could never be Terra's corrupted heart turned heartless. Most likely Terra's heart was rejected out of his body and both it and his soul possessed his armor to use it as a replacement body. Remember that you need a heart to wield a keyblade, and armor Terra clearly was able to wield Terra's while Xehanort/Terra wielded Xehanort's keyblade.
Unless some weird plot twist like Xehanort's old body somehow still being active happens in the next game, Xehanort is gone for good.
Saw it last night. I like it a lot. I wa afraid Ventus was going to be some deus ex machina for Sora becoming who he is in KH1/2, but this proves not to be the case, however special Sora is in whatever way he's special. I'm glad they are keeping him Sora.
