In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Crystal hummed in delight as she took more and more bites, savouring the taste, it was so good! She licked her lips a few times, making various sounds that showed she was enjoying the juicey yellow fruit. "Mmm, num... it tastes great!" she smiled, almost finished with it "so much better than coconuts, I think I might have another after this, but I haven't the slightest idea what it's called."
She looked over at Demyx, smiling as he ate his piece. Then, suddenly yet strangely... after finishing it, she felt... a completeness, looking up at all the other star fruits in the trees, she didn't feel the urge to eat them, not ever again, it wasn't that she didn't like them... but, it was almost as if... she had something now, something that didn't require her to eat another.
Not now.
Not ever again.
What exactly was this fruit? She had never felt like this before... but why did she feel this way right after eating it? She looked over at Demyx eating his fruit still... would he feel the same? Crystal wasn't one to blush, but at that moment, she did. A small giggle escaped her soft blue lips as she felt something deep inside her heart, she placed her hands over her chest where her heart was and closed her eyes, enjoying the very feeling that she felt. It was comforting, warming even.
Almost like a connection, her head gently rested upon Demyx's shoulder at that moment, her tail moved back and forth as she remained with her eyes closed. She reached down to his hand and held it gently, lacing their fingers together.
"Demyx... I don't want you to leave me, not yet at least... you're my first ever friend... I don't feel so lonely in this world now... thank you."
Demyx was surprised, as Crystal took his hand into her own, again not used to being touched. He panicked a little, not sure what to do...suddenly he heard the undines sweet voice.
"Demyx... I don't want you to leave me, not yet at least...your my first friend...I don't feel so lonely in this world now...thank you." she said to him.
The Nobody was greatly taken back by this, there was that friend word again...did he really make her that happy? Well...probablly, he could tell through her eyes, that she had been through a lot, so making a friend probablly excited her.
Still...did he deserve that much thanks? As he ate the last bit of his fruit, the nobody smiled at her. It was sad, as a Nobody, he could not feel anything, so the Paopu's effect didn't work on him. Yet...when was about to say something to Crystal, he began to feel something.
His eyes widened, "What is this?" he wondered in thought. In his soul...was this some sort of emotion? No...more like the urge of something, wanting to be bigger.
He clutched his jacket, with his other hand. He did not understand, what was it that he was feeling? It was so confusing. He could feel it...yet he could not. It was there...yet it wasn't..it was like as if his being was trying to connect with something. A connection...that could not be complete.
Suddenly it stopped, and Demyx looked at the sky exhausted, as if he had been running on a track team. He calmed himself, and looking back at Crystal tried to look normal...if that was possible.
Crystal groaned softly as she felt Demyx move, which caused her to sit up and look at him, her head tilting curiously, her eyes obviously showed she was concerned about him. "Demyx, are you okay... are you cold?" she asked, placing her hand on his shoulder, then again, how could he be cold, she wasn't and all she had on was a tube top. What else could it have been?
Well, whatever it was, it was bothering him, she wanted to do all she could to help him. She then looked at the water, it always took her mind off of a lot of things, maybe it'd help him, too. "Hey, wanna go for a swim?" she smiled, letting herself slide into the water, though still held his hand, she knew the ocean well, so he would be safe.
"Don't worry, you won't have to keep coming up for breath either, I can fix that," she smiled, hoping he would like to explore the sea with her, maybe add more things to her collection of shinies.
She didn't know why... but holding his hand brought her closer to him now, it was like...
As Crystal asked if he was ok, Demux just nodded his head. "Yes.." ge said smiling. "Im fine..."
"Though..." he thought, "I have to wonder what was that a moment ago? So...bizarre..." he sighed, "Well whatever It was I felt...it's obvious it came from that fruit...what was that fruit anyway? Nothing normal surely."
Demyx then dismissed his thoughts, as Crystal began to speak again. "Hey, you wanna go for a swim?" she asked smiling, letting herself slide in the water yet, still holding his hand.
The Nobody surprised at this question, replied nervously. "Um...sure." though he wouldn't know how long he could hold his breath underwater.
As if reading his mind, He then heard her say, "Dont worry, you won't have to keep coming up for breath either, I can fix that."
Well that was a relief, still...the nobody felt slightly uncomfortable...but then again he never swam in the sea with someone before...so maybe that was natural.
He smiled at her, and sliding into the water with her said. "Well then...let's go."
Crystal smiled and nodded as he got into the water. "Okay, stay close to me, and tug my arm when you need air," she chuckled softly as she let herself sink into the water, pulling him down with her.
Luckily, she could still see, the moons rays sent down beams of light underwater, giving it a gorgeous glow. She smiled as she saw a blue jellyfish swim by, it wouldn't hurt if it stung her, it was normal for her due to being so used to the water and what lied within it.
It was good that she could still talk underwater, too... but she wondered if Demyx could, would he even be able to hear her? "Remember to tug my arm when you need breath, okay?" she smiled back at him before looking down, noticing something shiney "ooh! I wonder what that is!"
She let go of Demyx's hand in all the excitement and swam towards what she thought were two yellow gems, glowing brightly...
Once underwater, Demyx was amazed by the oceans beauty. So this was it was like underwater? To the nobody it was pretty cool.
He looked at Crystal smiling, she heard her say something, though it was somewhat muffled, he could figure out what she said.
"Remember to tug my arm when you need breath, ok?" was what he got out. He smiled, and nodding messaged that he understood.
Suddenly Crystal then let go of his hand, "ohh! I wonder what that is!" he heard her say.
He looked down, to find two shiny yellow orbs. Except unlike Crystal, he knew right away what they were. Eyes... "Wait!" he tried to say, as he reached for her arm.
But the undine was too quick, he swam towards her but it was aleady too late.
With a smile, Crystal continued to swim towards the glowing orbs, she then remembered Demyx and looked back to see if he was alright, she suddenly stopped as she saw the the look of worry on his face.
"Huh? Demyx?" little did she know was that three Sea Neons were approaching her from behind, but she was too concerned about Demyx to even pay attention "what is it? What's wro--! Agghhh!!" she cried out as one of the Heartless attacked her with its tentackles, she groaned as she was thrown into another one, which dealt the same attack, it was quite painful.
Just before she hit the last one, she pushed herself away from them. She immediately manipulated some of the water to create a water rope to wrap around the Heartless, she then summoned her spear and attacked one, soon destroying it, but that caused the water rope to break.
The undine looked serious as the two Heartless swarmed around her, swimming in circles, ready to attack.
As the heartless circled around Crystal, Demyx began to act quickly. He summoned his sitar, and twirling it, to gain some momentum, threw it at one of the two Sea Neons.
Due to them being underwater, the sitar movements were slow. But soomehow Demyx had aimed it just enough, to hit it's target. Soon the heartless that was struck, disappeared. And then there was only one.
At that time, Demyx took this moment, to swim towards Crystal. Once by her side he tried to say, "Are you alright?"
However he never got to hear her answer, for the last Sea neon extended it's tentacle, and hitting Demux in the stomach forced him to go backwards.
"Ouch!" he thought, "Idiot! Save the talking for later."
He closed his eyes, then reopening them, he held up his sitar. Only problem was....it wasn't there. "Wha-!?" he thought, painicking.
He looked around, frantically. "I mist of dropped it when that heartless attacked me..." he thought, "Oh you idiot...just can't do anything right today can you?"
He extended his hand, and summoning his weapon once again, swam as fast as he could to the undine. Hopefully, the heartless wasn't giving her too much trouble.
Just as one of the Heartless was going to attack her, the undine noticed a sitar fly over her shoulder and smack into the Sea Neon, the force was so great that it destroyed the Heartless. Crystal's eyes lit up then as she looked back, a small smile appeared on her lips. "Demyx..." she murmured as he swam to her side.
Suddenly, the Heartless' tentacles thrust out and went for him, but Crystal was quicker and moved him out the way, thus causing the tentacle to hit her stomach, almost winding her. She held her stomach in pain, this Heartless sure was tough. With a serious frown, Crystal swam towards the Heartless, ignoring the pain in her stomach as she backflipped and smacked the Sea Neon with her tail before swinging her weapon at it repeatedly.
Once it was gone, she calmed down, but she soon panicked. Where was Demyx!? She looked around for him, but couldn't see him, her vision must've been blurry. But still, didn't he need air soon?
Crystal quickly swam back to where she had left him.
As Demyx swam, he started to feel his throat close in, as if he was suffocating. 'Great...' he thought, swimming even faster. He had to get to Crystal as soon as possible.
He swam, one pull and kick after another. Finally, he began to see a figure out in the distance. He looked closely through the water, to make sure the figure was who he had been looking for.
It was. Crystal, beautiful and elegant, was looking madly around as if searching for something...probablly for him. He smiled, but then as he was about to get closer, his vision began to get blurry. 'What?' he said confused.
He then began to feel his body starting to go numb, 'dang it!' he thought angrily. 'I've lost too much air!' He tried to reach out to the undine once again, but finding it to be more difficult then he thought gave up.
'dang it...I need to get her attention somhow...' Suddenly an idea popped I'm Demyx's head. He took a hold of his sitar, and strumming the strings let out a loud sound throughout the water. Hopefully...since sound travels fast through water, Crystal would be able to hear it.
Crystal was now panicking as she couldn't yet see Demyx, where was he? Had one of the Heartless got him? She stopped briefly and put her finger to her lips, clearly worried as she looked around.
"Oh... Demyx, where are you?" her voice shook slightly with worry, a horrible feeling was about to rise in her stomach until suddenly she heard music, she immediately turned her attention to where the music was coming from, after all, she could detect sound... quite like a sonar.
But, like a sonar, Crystal could detect something else... distress. Demyx was clearly in trouble, it didn't take her long to reach him, she saw him floating there playing his sitar, beautifully yet... quite weakly. It quickly came to her. Demyx was losing air! She had nearly forgotten.
Quickly, she swam over to him and smiled, placing her hand on his cheek comfortngly. "It'll be alright, I'm here now... let me be the air that you breathe," she whispered softly, the sound of her voice seemed to echo like sound waves.
It would be quite an embarrassing procedure, but she'd have to help hm like any other undine would. She calmly moved her face closer to his, quite nervous and blushing due to never doing this to some else ever before. It was then she placed her lips over his, pushing them against his lips and slowly seperating them so his mouth open.
Like an oxygen tank, she breathed into his mouth a few times so that his lungs would contain enough air for him to breathe for a while. She couldn't help but feel an odd feeling as she did this, but she soon shook it off, believing the paopu fruit was still taking affect.
Once she felt like he had enough, she pulled away and looked at him, checking to see if he was alright. "Are you okay, Demyx? You had me worried there," she smiled, still with blush in her cheeks.
Demyx could feel his life slowly dieing, as he reached his limit. He let go of his Sitar, and as it disappeared the nobodies eye's started to close.
'I guess...' he thought, weak. 'my death won't be as painful as I thought...'
with that his eyes automatically closed. But then suddenly, at that very moment he felt something...His lips were covered by anothers. He opened his eyes slowly, and trying to see who it was found it was Crystal.
Surprised Demyx slightly blushed. He could feel his lungs getting filled with air, once he had enought the undine broke away from the nobody.
"Are you ok? You had me worried there." Crystal asked, a slight blush on her cheeks.
Demyx, still shocked by the kiss just nodded his head.
Crystal tilt her head as Demyx seemed to just stare, she noticed the red in his cheeks, but was oblivious to the fact that he was blushing, she soon shook it off and smiled. "Hey, there's a cave not far from here, there's an underwater tunnel that leads to it, but the cave itself is completely dry," and with those words, she swam away from him, leaving a trail of bubbles for him to follow.
Thinking back to the kiss of life, Crystal couldn't help but feel awkward. It was just to save him, right? Besides, who kissed properly like that? Once again she shook it off as she swam up the tunnel, she could make out a dim light above it and soon her head poked out of the water.
She looked around, she was in a medium sized pool of water, in front of her was a rocky ledge with some drawings on the wall and a small flower patch with blue butterflies flying above it, there was some cracks in the walls that gave a glossy shine, like the inside of a shell.
Once she crawled out, she was able to return to her human form, her tail faded away and was replaced with a pair of long delicate tanned legs, her sarong-like skirt kept her from exposing anything.
Crystal smiled as she looked back at the pool, Demyx couldn't have been that far behind.
And indeed he wasn't, suddenly Demyx's head appeared above the pool. He gasped for air, and laughed as he looked at Crystal.
"Well that was a close one eh?" he said, smiling.
He climbed out of the pool, and taking off his boots, dumped out the water inside of it. "Remind me to wear waterproof clothing, the next time I ever go swimming." he joked.
Then putting his boots back on, he looked around the cave, examining the drawings alongst the walls. 'Wow....' he thought, amazed.
He turned to the undine, and towards her smiled softly. "Gotta hand it to you..." he said, "This place is pretty cool..."
At that moment, a thought crossed his mind. He put his moist glove hand on the girls shoulder, laughing while saying. "I almost forgot! Thanks...for saving my life."
Crystal smiled as she watched Demyx rise out of the water, she laughed as he emptied his boots of water. "I'll keep it in mind," she giggled, whilst playfully shoving him.
The songstress then walked over to one of the walls and picked up a jagged rock before placing it to the wall and began carving, the drawings weren't all that good, looking as if a small child drew them. "Thanks, it's pretty much where I live here, you're the first person I brought here," she smiled, starting a new drawing.
She was then caught off guard as he placed his hand on her shoulder, she could feel a leap in her chest as she turned to face him, her cheeks soon reddened as he mentioned saving him, remembering what she had to do to even save him.
Without a word, Crystal looked away shyly, too embarrassed now.
