In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Alright what we need to do is look at the plot and decide to pause it right now, or completely start over once it is rewritten.
The plot needs to be written so that both sides or darkness know exactly what they're suppose to be doing, so that the main heroes (Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Donald, Goofy etc.) have jobs, so that the new wielders have jobs, so that each world has its own plot that ties to the main plot, and so that normal characters can easily join in and have a purpose.
And the new addition to the main plot which hasn't been put into affect yet: The Dark Side of the Heart --
“War may be upon us…it’s up to you to keep the worlds safe from darkness…the temptation will be stronger…the suffering will be unavoidable…the secrets will tear at your hearts…and above all…you may not return…”
Darkness looms in everyone’s heart. Even the strongest of hearts must fight against the darkness everyday…and sometimes even those strong hearts…loose.
Darkness is seeping out every corner, crawling out of every crack, and is falling from every sky. Worlds are perishing from its need to consume, living creatures are suffering from its unforgivable nature—it seems uncontrollable…
It is said that a Keyblade is created from the strong radiating light from your heart. Those whose light is strongest are chosen to wield a Keyblade and the light in their heart is turned into the rare weapon.
But what happens to the darkness in the heart? It remains of course…but what if the darkness takes over during the creation of a Keyblade? What will result?
New wielders are being chosen at an alarming rate…there is the threat of war and the Keyblade is doing everything in its power to build a strong army. But during the creation of some Keyblades, corruption has taken place… Instead of a Keyblade being born from the light in peoples’ hearts, a Keyblade is able to form from the darkness in peoples’ hearts…
Dark Keyblades are on the rise and the King can sense the danger… These Keyblades are very dangerous and give the wielders the power of darkness. A war is about to break out between light and darkness…
Can light defeat darkness? Or will dark defeat light? Can one truly exist without the other? Only time will tell…
Keyblades of the Realm of Darkness blend in with the Keyblades from the Realm of Light. Wielders of darkness are among the King’s ranks…will his army fall apart? Or will the darkness be defeated in time to stop the Heartless and Nobodies?
The Keyblade War is about to begin…are you ready?
Please give suggestions. I'm already working on rewrites so I'll try to incorporate all ideas that I can.
The keyblades should be none of the canon ones we see Sora wield, Those were granted to Sora and Sora alone; they took the shapes they did due to his interpretation. What you see are keychains being applied to the Kingdom Key, not separate keyblades, and that ought to be remembered.
Instead of personal gifts/achievements of Sora's being tossed to everyone, original keyblades, as brought in contests or by other means, ought to be what others wield. If a character chosen, for example, they could be created by the person chosen to wield. The keyblades seen in KH are Sora's, with two exceptions -- Kairi's, and Riku's. These are two designs Sora will never have, for one specific reason: these keyblades are custom tailored for those two, and no one else. Just as Sora's keyblade and add-on moderations to it belong to him, so are keyblades granted to others equally unique, and always ought to remain as such.
In short, OC keyblades for OC characters. Every one has to be different, and specifically apply to the character that wields it.
Actually, that makes a valid point. Take, for example, say... Leon, whom I know well in character; if someone else other than Sora came prancing around with Lionheart or Sleeping Lion, specific gifts he'd intended to aide his friend, he'd not be very happy about it. In fact, I'd say down right pissed. All the people who gave Sora these keychains were, in fact, passing on memories and emotions and thoughts for Sora. Everyone from Hercules to Axel had wanted to help Sora out (okay, so maybe not so much Axel, but close enough). That's, indeed, how they seemed to have shaped. I, myself, could go on a complete rant of theory on how they were formed, but one thing does remain true, as far as plot goes (although I do suggest a complete rewrite, as this current one has... well... flopped... and I'm working on missions as we speak), unique keyblades for OCs.
The keyblade contest that happened actually showed much of how creative players can be; giving them the chance to uniquely design their own, within parameters, of course, because we don't need Ultima Weapon recolors running around. That'd get really annoying really quick.
If that mad any sense anyways...
As far as the actual plot? A lot of the elements are needed, but I think the whole things needs to be looked at from a whole new angle, really, as the current one is starting to sound a tad bit generic. It's high time to perhaps put a new spin on an old tale, as the saying goes.
Well Sora does indeed have different key chains, but Roxas is able to wield the Oathkeeper and Oblivion keyblades while Sora has the keychains. Problem there? Yes. A valid argument could be that Roxas is a part of Sora, but he carried completely separate Keyblades from Sora.
Also King Mickey wielded the Star Seeker at the end of the movie preview of Birth By Sleep. Also in that movie there are many replicas of the Keyblades Sora can wield, so that's why I believe Keyblades can be completely separate from keychains.
But I do understand your points. It's just that the Sora we have now only wields the Kingdom Key so the rest of the blades are pretty much going to waste.
That's irrelevant, however, and the fact remains that they ought not belong to anyone else, as Sora still has them. The Star Seeker may have been Mickey's at some point, but he was Yen Sid's apprentice at the time -- where Sora later got it.
But Sora would not really have left all those keyblades behind, I would think. Despite the general idea to make life harder by not giving you the same stats that you had initially, consider it in reality. Sora would not have lost a single one of those forms, and in the secret video there were many, many other keyblades never seen before. At the very least the same keyblade cannot be kept by two people at once.
Now, Roxas. He's part of Sora, and they did not technically wield them simultaneously. He wielded the two when Sora was still being rebuilt. Also, to revisit a point, Roxas is still part of Sora. An exception that later returned to Sora, and canonically ought not to reemerge.
Additionally, this clears the air for original, tailored keyblades that make sense for the wielder. We know for a fact there are untold hordes more than what Sora has.

Of course. I just feel that making many new keyblades would be very difficult... People need to be willing to make them not just for themselves but for others to use as well. It's just that in this RP why would Sora need all of those keyblades? We don't have stats so changing keyblades for a power boost would do nothing for him. His Kingdom Key has the same strength as the Star Seeker in the RP, so I don't understand why he needs them all with him anyway.
Your concept is very understandable in game reality. I just don't see its purpose here.
Perhaps I merely am obsessed with continuity, that which feels real. It seems to lose some piece of that if for the sake of convenience certain elements are disregarded.
I do understand what you are saying, that most people, upon creation of a keyblade or a masterpiece, would desire to use it for themselves instead of handing it over to someone else. But perhaps that is just it. We do not have stats, but using keys that have stats -- Sweet Memories against Bond of Flame, for example. We know where that would lead.
In the end, we, the RPers, do judge the keys with stats, using the game reference.
However, I get off the topic. I propose we leave this to a vote, actually -- allow the other players on this site; those that have keyblades, beside ourselves, those that may have them at some time, and those others that play and write collectively on this forum. Let them have a say to weigh in on this, for in the end, if not, it is just the two, or three of us arguing this matter.
But this effects many, and I'll leave the entire matter aside, whether or not it bothers me, if the vote turns to keep what we have, with original keyblades a rarity.
