In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

This is also a great beginning to a thread. I saw improvement as I went down the list, too.
I think my favorite one of these is the buttons one. I love the colors, the texture you created by just using dots... I feel as though dots are overlooked in terms of technique. I like your negative space pictures too. They can be quite trippy at times, though, don't you think?
And don't dis what you drew from a How-to-Book! I think the procedure is really good in helping people improve, because then people become more methodical about drawing. A lot of times I've gotten in trouble because I just kind of drew -- messes up my anatomical proportions a lot.
'Twas just...something I did for fun. Got really bored in AP Calculus one day...and mah bestie was frustrated cause I never take notes, or pay attention...yet retain an A in that class. Aaaaaanyway...she was frustrated at me, so I drew her a heart with dots...then found two more of mah Sharpie Markers...and decided to add a background.
But yea, we were told to make a letter 3-Dimensional...and then add a background. I couldn't think of a background...so I gave up for the day, and got out my phone to play Pac-Man. Then...decided to make my background Pac-Man because of that. =P Oh, and this is paint. Acrylic paint on some paper our art teacher wanted us to do it on. I would have MUCH preferred a canvas. >_<
I do like your dot work, that I do... and it's funny. I don't usually like expressions of modern art-esque things, but I really do like the colors in your last painting. :3
A sketch I've had in mah book, but forgot to put up here. I plan on doin some stuff to it in Photoshop and Illustrator. So...I guess technically it's not done. But ya.
Well, since you're drawing line-arts on that one, concentrate on depth. Even lines have shading. Often, the lines closer to the (viewer) will be broader or slightly thicker, giving the far-off lines a far-off perspective.
Agreed with Sinn! Can't really say too much more, since you say it is still a WIP; but it is something good to keep in mind as you're outlining it. I think shading is going to be a good challenge as you get into coloring it -- different shapes catch light differently, as do different textures. Do you have a tablet, Doogs?
'Twas a huge, crazy still life set up in my school and the AP Art class had to draw it. SOOO FRUSTRATING. >O And it didn't help...that it was so overwhelming that the stress from it, and some other things led me to a emotional breakdown one day. D: And it drained mah drawing muse for the next few days we did it.
And it didn't help that...at the time...I was like WAY not confident in my drawing abilities...at all. D:
I was bored during Art class...so I grabbed some sparkly water colours and...just started doin stuff after a friend said "do some squiggly lines!" then after I did some she was like "o.o too many now...no more squiggly lines! Do...dots...or something else" XD So I started filling in the background. 8DDDD
So yea. That was a ton of fun! Then, after I drew that one, the next day, I showed it to Chrissy, and somehow we decided that I'd draw him a happy food item. It started out as just a slushie...and then I decided the slushie looked lonely, and needed some friends!
They were fun to draw. XD And I'm trying to get into the habit of drawing something every night. Kinda failing...but if you guys have any ideas, I'm all up to hear them XD
