PowersSummoning: Ricardus’s main ability was summoning. He kept his summons in the Book of Memories, a holy object used as a connection to the heart. As he traveled and met new people, pages of his book were filled, making it able to summon his new friends. However, the summons’ power was weaker that the real person’s. If Ricardus’s friendship with a certain person wasn’t so strong and both hadn’t met in a long time, the summon would simply have banished from the book. This ability, along with the entire summon collection he had gathered, was stripped away from him by his recent “amnesia”. However, with enough training and concentration, Ricardus could recover this ability in time.
Cure: A healing spell with potency to seal minor wounds and scratches.
Cura: An adequate healing spell that seals minor wounds and replenishes some stamina.
Esuna: A basic healing spell that removes basic status aliments.
Reflect: A sheer white dome of light covers the target that momentarily protects against a single attack before shattering.
Aero: A whisp of wind wraps around the caster attacking anyone in close range as well as softening on-coming attacks.
Electrokinesis: The ability to mentally manipulate energies, electrical currents and generate static electricity. This Asuran ability had been sealed away by Ricardus’s parents but it has been recently released. Though Dar’Nala shows minimum to no control over this skill, his “other”, Cain, is quite able to use the ability, being able to create solid waves and blasts to launch at enemies as well as pure bursts of lightning to shock them.
- Stun: Unleashing a charge of electricity of a rather low voltage, the user attempts to stun the target. The effect lasts for three posts.
- Paralysis: The user sends a stream of electricity at the target, intending to hit and paralyze it. There is an 75% chance of success (randomizer will be used) and the effects last for two posts.
- Forceshields: Though not really experienced when it comes to this ability, Cain is sometimes able to create electric forceshields to protect him from harm, damaging those sensitive to electricity upon contact. There's a 50/50 chance of success and the protection only lasts for two posts.
- Electron Conversion: The user is able to convert one's own body into an entity of electrons. Usually used as a last resort, Cain is able to keep the transformation for a single post without suffering any serious damage. Only able to be used twice per thread.
Weapon

An apparently common dagger with a golden hilt found by Ricardus in Traverse Town’s Zero District. He rarely used it as he lacks experience in close combat but, after the seal holding back his potential was broken, his “others” have been shown to use it quite frequently. It has the special ability to channel elemental energy.
Appearance
Standing around 5' 6" and weighing about 145 pounds, Ricardus isn’t what you would call a physical powerhouse or a tank. Although he has taken a rather skinny, lanky body build, he is able to defeat a few Heartless on his own. Also, with such lack of weight and bulkiness, Dar’Nala can be quite agile and move with haste, doing an excellent job when it comes to attacking from a considerable distance.
The male’s skin is quite pale, though smooth, but still pale nonetheless. This makes him look even scrawnier than he is which is why he prefers to hide it with cloaks, tunics or similar clothing. Eyes of emerald reveal the way his mind constantly races, always with a look of bemusement or worry, and sometimes giving people the impression that he's "not all right in the head" at times. It doesn't help when his demeanor is also very tense and restless. Ricardus’s hair is originally a dark ebony color, though currently dyed dark red. It is not that long and kind of shaggy looking with a touch of messiness.
Ricardus’s man in black attire has been pretty much discarded by now and he already picked another theme for his clothing. Blue longed sleeved shirt, black leather gloves, navy blue jeans, black trainer shoes and a dark cloak just in a case. Other clothing garments such as socks and his trainers’ soles remain white snow.
While he fought the Brain Tree at Halloween Town, Dar’Nala was trapped in one of its brain tentacles, receiving several electric discharges that burned his skin. The biggest scar is located at his back, starting at his right shoulder and ending near the left side of his waist.
Personality
Ricardus:
Ricardus is quite the polite, gentle soul. While he is quite skilled when it comes to lying, he doesn’t feel the need to use that pokerface of his anymore. He is very soft spoken, often mumbling and changing his pace from fast to slow and to fast once again while speaking. Why? Well, sometimes it takes some effort to put his ideas into words. His mind is racing most of the time and it is hard for him to hold it back, getting him into several uncomfortable situations.
It is very hard for Ricardus to explain things off the cuff, especially when they're complicated, so sometimes he just skips that step and does odd things without explanation. Basically, he acts before others can understand what exactly he’s thinking. When he's moving… wait, he's always moving. It looks as if he’s always racing against time and people sometimes think he's a bit quirky or twitchy because of it. Logic is everything to him and he’ll refuse to listen to anything unless it is proven. He can’t stand intuition and he refuses to leave anything undone.
But still, Shun is totally devoted, loyal and protective regarding the people he cares about. He can be very sacrificial if the circumstances require it. He's quite the determined and persistent kind of guy, always in the lookout for answers to a mystery. If something needs to get done, Ricardus Dar’Nala is your guy. You can count on him to get the job done with the utmost efficiency.
He’s a rational person, yet a very vulnerable and emotional as well. He dislikes fighting and refuses to hurt other people, tending to reason with them unless he is given no choice but to be aggressive. But overall, he's very tame, ridiculously smart, and a bit awkward to have around.
Cain:
Cain is quite silent, responding shortly and sometimes cryptically to questions and jibes. It takes quite a while for him to warm up to people, and when I say “quite a while” I mean it. People usually think of him as a cold, distant and indifferent individual, but simple stereotypes are the least of his concerns. Though usually fueled by anger, bitterness and rage, he keeps himself from revealing his intentions, showing instead a more sadistic side. Having little to no respect for others, Cain usually seeks out nothing but his personal agenda and will do anything to meet her ends.
He is very frank, meaning he says what is on his mind, when it is on his mind. He pays no attention to those who hear what he has to say and couldn’t care less if his words are found rude or not. Cain knows he can be quite harsh, but does not care in the least. He is quite a sadist, living a life of schadenfreude and enjoying the misfortune of others, caused by either his hand or another’s. Cain would be willing to kill an entire town to feed his own desires and leave with no emotional scar.

Background
Before Ricardus was born, his parents lived a happy life at the magical world of Nox. They were high ranked officers in the kingdom, entrusted with the mission of protecting the sacred Book of Memories. This was a holy magical object connected to the famous "Chosen One" prophecy, created by ancient seers centuries before. Both of them followed the path of the priest instead of learning how to fight as knights, learning various types of magic. However, they were faced with shame upon the birth of their son, Ricardus; his eyes showed the sign of the Asura, a magical race of great elemental power that was considered evil by the world. To keep their child from suffering a painful death, the baby’s parents sealed his talents within him, giving him an apparently normal life.
As he grew up, Ricardus focused on learning White Magic spells, thinking of violence and Black Magic as unnecessary and evil. This earned him the nickname Shun, since he practically shunned all offensive types of magic. An era of peace soothed the land, keeping the kingdom united until the boy’s twelfth birthday.
Then, they came.
Total chaos invaded the land; the Heartless began to strike, randomly targeting people to devour their hearts. Realizing that the world’s time was coming to an end, the Holy Circle of Priests decided to do something to save their sacred book, entrusting Shun with the Book of Memories. However, it was too late to fight back. As the priests feared, the Heartless had already found Nox’s keyhole, feasting on the world’s heart. Darkness began to swallow the world, and then everything turned black.
Waking up at a place known Traverse Town, Shun remained clueless and lonely, until the day he met Merlin the Magician. He had found the Book of Memories at the Zero District, which he gladly returned to the boy. This man also taught Shun the Cura spell, a stronger version of the already known Cure. The boy would later discover that he was the chosen wielder of the book, the only one that could use its summoning properties. After two years of living at Traverse Town, Shun’s life started to take some spice, beginning with the arrival of Jadis the White Witch. He grew wary of her when she sent a random teenager through a dark hole, judging her as an evil character. His view would soon soften a bit, realizing that her actions emerged out of self-defense and fear.
He would later meet a boy by the name of Doogie, who would invite him to tag along and explore Traverse Town. They would be later joined by a boy named Tyson, and the three of them intended to find the so called Keyhole. They activated the Gizmo Shop’s bell, but nothing unusual happened, as the boy known as Sora had already sealed it a few years in the past. Shun decided to accept Doogie’s offer to become traveling buddies, finally leaving Traverse Town for good.
After magically getting new unusual and creepy appearances, the duo explored Halloween Town, first following a wicked tune apparently sang by the local townspeople. When they got separated for a few moments, Shun managed to find the world’s sealed keyhole at Oogie Manor’s ruins, awakening a Possessor Heartless in the process. After a long battle, Doogie and Shun were able to defeat him, and Shun was able to capture its vessel as a summon: The Brain Tree. Unfortunately, the summoner was left with too many wounds after the battle, weakening the seal holding back his Asura abilities.
Back at the Gummi Ship, Doogie and Shun shared a tender moment when they shared their feeling for each other. The former landed on Traverse Town to search for a healer to help the latter, but the Heartless managed to enter the ship while he was away. Sensing the life-threatening danger that surrounded Shun, the weakened seal broke and freed his potential. Keeping these powers hidden for so many years, however, had created another personality for them known as “Cain”, who took control and slew the Heartless before leaving the vessel. He only left a clue behind: the Book of Memories.
Hours later, Ricardus Dar’Nala found himself at Twilight Town with no recollections of his past; Cain’s release had sealed his memories away…

Questions/Comments/Suggestions?
Even though I dislike characters with multiple personalities, I thought this would be a nice twist for Shun’s story. Don’t worry, one of the personas will end up absorbing the other at one point. This may be a bit confusing so feel free to ask any questions!
