In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

Powers:Very good at going unnoticed, finding treasure, dealing with blockades (such as locks), "acquiring" other people's possessions, very agile, and is the only know person alive to have mastered the Style of Offensive Thieving (though he prefers calling it borrowing)
Weapon:Throwing knives, a dagger that has some sort of magical power (He's not sure what type, though)
Picture(optional):
Appearance:Talis has a slight tan, but you couldn't tell unless you've know him for a while, because even with a tan his skin is very light. He is also short, at about 4'3, he is very thin, but the small amount of flesh on his bones is all muscle (or so he claims). He has short, straight black hair that always sticks up. He always wears black clothing that is light and strong, and his shirt always has many hidden pockets. He also wears a belt that holds his weapons and treasure hunting devices (such as lock picks), but the weapons are hard to see unless he's getting them out for use.
Personality:Talis always gets into trouble no matter where he goes, and has a knack for getting others blamed for his actions. He is always in a cheerful mood, and stays positive even in life-or-death situations. While some of his friends think that he is insane for heading toward almost certain doom with no worries, this is actually very helpful for him, as he can always calmly plan his next move and he renders scare or psychological tactics useless. He often gets chased out of town by angry mobs, so he has developed skills for surviving only on what he is carrying with him in the wild. He goes treasure hunting at the first sign of something valuable, although such treasure hunting doesn't always lead him to take something not already dug up by someone else (anyone say "museums?"). Over the years he has developed a keen sense for treasure, although it is wondered whether this is a good thing...
History/Background:Talis grew up in a small town of highly skilled mercenaries... using the term "mercenaries" loosely. Very loosely. The mercenaries in the town all worked for the same guild, one that was exclusive for the town. The guild, Ragnaking, was a special organization. People could come to the guild to make a request, and then the guild would sent the appropriate specialist to help, so if some one needed to be eliminated they sent an assassin, if something needed to be obtained they sent a thief. However, the guild only accepted your request if they wanted to and the specialist in question agreed. Also, they set their own prices for the job you wanted done, and it was usually some special object other than cash. For the guild to use such high prices, it's members, it has a test you must pass in order to join. And since the town is owned by the guild, if you don't pass the test, you are kicked out of the guild. So Talis decided that before he took his test he was going to go on a training journey, which is how he got to accidentally "borrow" a space ship before purchasing it and came to where he is today.
Role Playing Sample: Talis was almost out of the house when he heard a noise behind him. "What is it, sir?", he asked the stranger, and just as he predicted, the man foolishly came out of hiding to reveal his mission instead of just making the darn sneak attack. "Hand over the goods. Now."
Talis wasn't to good at making guesses about others occupation, but he could tell the other man's job right away. "This house is abandoned, so there is no law preventing me from taking these goods or from ignoring you. And if you're not the law, I am afraid your words hold no power over me. Not that the law's word hold any power over me, they're just a lot more dangerous that a common bandit like you."
As Talis continued his impossible to understand monologue he readied a few throwing knives and got out his main dagger. When the man seemed to have had enough and was about to get out a weapon Talis threw the knives, and, hoping one hit the mark, jumped behind the nearby column. He heard most of his daggers hit the wall, but by the sound of the flesh-cutting he noticed 3 daggers hit their target... but something was wrong. There were still 2 unaccounted for daggers. Then he realized that his daggers weren't lethal and missed all the major organs. Then he heard something he didn't expect to hear- a bows arrow hitting flesh. He peaked his head from cover to see the bandit with an arrow through his heart. Seeing how Talis didn't know whether this new archer was friend or foe he quickly ran away and made it back to his base camp.
"whew", he sighed, "that could have been close. Now to see where this map leads to..."
