Name: Kiros Seagill
Nickname(optional): Ki, but only to Ellone
Age:Physically, 40, give or take. Chronologically? 50-ish.
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Position: Are we talking Yoga?
Power(s): Other than what limits Kiros has with Draw and a little bit of junctioning, not much.
Cureative magic: Cure and Cura, currently working on gaining Curaga. Kiros also has Shell and Protect, though sometimes it doesn't always work.
Limit Break--
Blood Pain: Not much of a limit break, considering all it is is Kiros diving into the frey with his Katars. He's a Yoga paractitioner so he's quite flexible, meaning whatever opponent, he'll hit and hit 'em hard. While sneaking in a Doom spell.
Weapon(s): Kiros has a pair of simple katars, ending up having to replace the previous two pairs thanks to them getting so worn out so fast. Heartless and all, you know?
Picture(optional):Appearance: Kiros is tall. Very tall! As in, over six feet tall, with four inches to spare. Oddly enough, though, he doesn't seem very odd, other than that Kiros' hair is pulled back into wrapped and beaded tails-- it's a tribal thing, since he was born and mostly raised in the Galbadian desert; except for the twisted, curly strands, two of them, that hang in his face. That part seems odd. And his earrings are pretty tribal, too, even if they are a bit dangly. Kiros has dark skin, that, despite his age, doesn't have any real wrinkles, with a pair of onyx eyes the peer out gently, and careful, sculpted features that are also fairly gentle-seeming. He's lanky, like a stork, with his well-trained body. All in all, Kiros himself doesn't look too dangerous or even old. His secret? Yoga!
Since he's been wandering around with Ward so much, Kiros hasn't bothered not wearing his battle gear. More often than not, a stretchy crimson body suit that allows him to do what Kiros does best-- use his contortionism to advantage! It's layers with light chest, arm and leg armor to help defend vital points, with his katar holsters right on each leg. Other than that, Kiros has some regular clothes that he carries around for every day situations.
Personality: At first, Kiros seems intimidating, thanks to being so tall, but in all actuality, he's quite nice. He likes to strike up conversations, catch up on details, make friends, and the thing that others tend to notice most about Kiros is his sharp whit and tongue-- sometimes words are mean, even sarcastic, but Kiros uses them to protect his loved ones, being the mother hen that he is on the inside. He makes up for what Laguna sometimes lacks and what Ward needs, seeing them as close to him as the family he'd lost. Doesn't mean that Kiros isn't capable of being simple-- yeah, all of Laguna's plans work, but sometimes Laguna needs saving and when he does, Kiros is ready to jump in and be the diplomat or advise others in better options.
Kiros is observant. His memory is impeckable, as well as his vocabulary. Need a hand with that box? Sure! Got a bit of a problem with the village being attacked by Heartless? Well, come on Ward, we better go and help them before we move on. Doesn't mean Kiros is a leader. He's better suited for being off, directing things and organizing everyone from the side. He likes to see smiles and everyone happy; suffering doesn't suit others, so Kiros will do what he has to, even be outrageously mean with biting words and lie, if that's what it takes to make people, friends, and family safe. Sometimes that's not always the best way to go about things, but that's what you have Ward and Laguna for; helping him out of problems that Kiros sometimes digs himself into. But no one's perfect, right?
He also has this uncanny ability to be irritatingly right about everything, offering a sweet smile, when you need to figure it out for yourself. It's almost impossible to get him mad. Why? Because Kiros will go off, find his center of peace, do some yoga to stretch out tensity, and come back ready to get the job done! On top of being, well... over-protective, he's also actually pretty much a very intuitive, spiritual person.
Original World: Archipelago (the FFVIII world)
Current Residing World: Sort of traveling for now...
History/Background: Just like Laguna and Ward, Kiros was born in Glabadia, raised in Galbadia, and still has those good-ol'-boy tendencies. Born in the mid-summer heat out to a small desert-fairing family on July 6th, and wasn't too happy about the drouth that dried up the oasis his little village thrived off; it wiped out just about everyone. If it hadn't been for the family pick-up things could have been a lot worse. So what did Kiros do, once he was old enough? Join the Galbadian army to help support his grandmother, who had been raising him. Simple enough, right? Well... not so much. He had his ups and downs, until Ward started looking after him.
How did they come across Laguna? Why, out in the middle of the battle field, not too long after Laguna had joined, saving Laguna's butt from some trouble he'd gotten himself into. Kiros isn't, or wasn't, the best battle healer, but he did the best he could for Laguna's leg, and Ward had been the one to bail them both out, as far as Kiros knows. And he wasn't too surprised that Laguna had fallen for Julia, a woman in a bar that played the piano. But, they didn't have time to sit around and be shy, they had a war to fight. Which... didn't exactly work out like it all was planned, either, especially when they had to leave, Kiros, Laguna, and Ward, off on a scouting mission to Centra. It ended with Laguna throwing both him and Ward off a cliff when cornered by soldiers from Esthar. Kiros was actually pretty injured from that fall and had somehow managed to find his way in with the Shumi tribe-- they helped him heal, taught him some pretty interesting things about yoga to keep his old injuries from putting to much stress on him; these days, although still unchanged thanks to a weird time stasis goings-on, Kiros is a bit delicate, considering he'd taken a lot of internal damage. That's okay, he doesn't complain! Especially since the Shumi helped him recover to fast.
Later, once he could manage to actually move more without coughing up blood all the time, and, y'know, not hurt, Kiros went in search of Laguna and Ward-- he managed to find Ward, by word of mouth, mostly, and instead went to go find Laguna first and tell him that he'd found Laguna an opening to pursue his dream as a journalist. It didn't work out, either-- Laguna had changed; he was in love with Raine, and he couldn't take that away from his friend. When Ellone got kidnapped, Kiros, along with Ward, went around the world in order to help find her, and eventually entrap the Sorcerer Adel out in space. Laguna had promised to marry Raine, and Kiros was going to make sure he got back to her in one piece, to live the happy life that he deserved.
Esthar, after the aftermath of bad acting, odd jobs, and Lunatic Pandora, needed Laguna. They chose him as their leader, and unfortunately, that wasn't Kiros' decision to make; Laguna decided to stay, so Kiros left Ward with Laguna, despite his position as assitant advisor to the President in order to go give Ellone back to Raine. It made Kiros sad, actually, finding out that Raine had died during child birth, to a healthy baby boy, and did his best to hand Ellone and infant Squall to the capable hands of Edea and Cid Kramer. The only proof that Kiros could bring back was a birth certificate, and not much else, other than some bad news.
Years later, especially after Esthar had been seperated from the rest of the world, things started getting pretty bad. How was Kiros supposed to know that Odine had taken interest in a oddly-in-stasis-girl named Rinoa? SeeD showed up, things started going wonky, and all Kiros and Ward could do was yank Laguna back to safty, routine check on Adel's seals or not. The idea was to seal Rinoa away, but Squall always was his father's son, even now, and wouldn't let it happen.
So you have Time Compression and the eventual defeat of the sorceress that had possessed Edea, Rinoa,
and Adel. Her name was Ultimecia and she was icky and seriously wanted to wanted to control all of time.
But things fell apart, during Time Compression; the world was falling apart, and somehow... well... Kiros wasn't sure how it happened, but he and Ward were separated from Laguna. Again. With only a moomba to find him. He's pretty much under the same problem as Laguna, considering how close he and Ward were to the guy; Ten or so years have passed, and sometimes Kiros just can't keep track, considering every day just compresses down again, thanks to Time Compression still working on them. Does this confuse Kiros? Yeah, a lot, but he deals. But he's sure he'll find Laguna sooner or later.
